InfoObject only in data target , but to be used in Update routine of anothe

I am having an InfoObject 'A' in a data target (ODS2).The Update rule is fom ODS1 and in the routine of another InfoObject 'B' , we need to use this 'A'.
'A' is not present in the comm_structure.
'A' is having a constant value.
'B' will use the value of 'A' and will be doing manipulations.
( Assume 'A' to be prone to change from constant to routine in the future. )
Can anyone suggest anything ? Please help !

PSA request updated to data targets but not showing

Hi All,
It must be a basic question for BW support activities. However appreciate if someone can help me out as I am unable to find similar post.
In PSA the request shows it successfully updated to a data target but I can't see the delta request in the data target (Cube)- Manage.
This is a delta request. Can someone tell me how do I load the data back in to the cube? Do I need to delete the request from cube and run it again but I guess the deltas will be lost.
Help. pls give me all the steps in detail how do I fix this.

Hi,
There are two options.
1. at PSA find how many records are exist for your request.
Note/down load the records into excel if you have countable. As my guess delta records might be less.
Later thru repair full request you can load to PSA and then to target.
AT repair full request we need to use proper selections to load required records only.
2. PSA Request must be stored at back end table.
in that table if we can change update further status then we can do the psa request to target thru delta dtp.

Updating record that exist in master data target but not master data sourc

HI,
I have PLANT key value "0004" that exist in my master data target ZPLANT, but this value has never sended by my source system, it was added only when I loaded my Infoprovider.
My problem is that this key value "0004" haven't text, and I would like put automatiquely the text of another value '0005' for this value '0004'.
I'm in BI7 for information.
Do you have any idea please? ABAP, Start routine or End routine?
Andcould you give me please the ABAP code to do that?

Can'I add this value while loading ZPLANT master data from source system?
If yes, How can'I do it, and How can I maitain (automatiquely not manually) the text of '0004' key value?
PS:
The text of '0004' key value is the same as the text of '0005' key value'.

Problem to update two different data targets from same DSO using DTP

Hi All,
I am trying to upload data from standard DSO 0FIA_DS11 to DSOs 0FIA_DS12 and 0FIA_DS13 using DTP.
I run DTP 0FIA_DS11 -> 0FIA_DS12 and all data is updated on target, but when I run DTP 0FIA_DS11 -> 0FIA_DS13 job stops at data source extraction, endless.
Is there something I missing with new 7.0 approach?
Could someone help me with this problem?!

I'm loading cumulative/planned transactions from 0FI_AA_11 to 0FIA_DS11 just filtering by depreciation area on data package. Data is being successfully load and activated into this data provider.
From 0FIA_DS11 to 0FIA_DS12 I am loading data without filtering and load is finishing successfully.
From 0FIA_DS11 to 0FIA_DS13 I am not using any filter on DTP. I'm removing data with transaction type 'PLN' into start routine, but load is not even achieving this point. It stops during data source extraction.
Any more ideas?

Cellular Data off, but unable to use services over wifi

I have turned off cellular data and followed suggestions posted on other threads to reduce data usage -- and am connected to wifi in my office, but cannot do anything on my iPhone5c. Even when I am just wanting to surf on Safari -- the error "Cellular Data is turned off" "Turn on Cellular Data or use Wi-Fi to access data." pops up. I am showing on my Settings > Wi-Fi that I'm connected. Any idea what the problem is?

Are you actually getting a valid IP address on the WiFi network? What did your IT department say about it when you asked? Perhaps they have it configured so that unapproved devices can not access the Internet...

Help. Still only running 2 computers but says licenses used up.

In process of upgrading 2 old computers. Installed 2nd license on a MacBookAir. After one month traded MacBookAir in for a MacBook Pro. Apple copied over the contents of the Air hard drive to the new computer and said I would have to enter the serial number for CS6 again. Computer suggests I run Adobe App Mgr (upgraded to 6.2) and asked for serial number. Now it tells me that the maximum amount of copies are in use and it wasn't deactivated. How can I re-install on new computer?
Will also want to deactivate CS6 on another old computer when a new iMac arrives...

Request not updated to any data target using delta

I am on BI 70 using 70 DataSource. I executed InfoPackage in full update, then ran DTP in full mode. There is only 1 data target. The requests were successfully updated in the target DSO. However, when I checked the datasource PSA, the requests were showing u201CRequest not updated to any data target using deltau201D with red triangle.
My questions are:
1. Is this normal?
2. I need to do more full loads. When I run DTP (in full mode) again, will it re-load those PSA requests (the ones already in DSO) to the same data target?

To answer your questions
1. Yes. This is normal.
2. Yes. When you run DTP in Full Mode again, this PSA request (along with any other subsequent loads you might have done to PSA) would be re-loaded to the same data target .
If this is not required you can set the DTP to delta mode. This ensures that the PSA request is updated to data target only once.

Only PSA with the 'Update subsequently in data targets'- BI 7.0

We are currently on BI7.0 and my concern is with the InfoPackage Processing of 'Only PSA' with the 'Update subsequently in data targets'checked. When I load the data it loads into the PSA and I can see it in the monitor and in the Manage of the DSO it shows me Transferred '328' and Added Record '0'/. How do I manually update it from the PSA into the data target from this point?
When I select 'PSA and then into Data Targets (package by package)' in the DSO manage screen it shows me Transferred 328 and Added Record '123'. So certainly that means that the data is not being subsequently loaded from the PSA when 'Only PSA' with the 'Update subsequently in data targets'checked option is used. Please tell me how to update data from PSA into Data Target when 'Only PSA' with the 'Update subsequently in data targets'checked is selected.

In BW 3.x data flow, 'Only PSA' with the 'Update subsequently in data targets' option in Info package will load up to PSA only in case of the Process chains.
After this info package we must add the additional step "Update from PSA to Target" in order to load to the target.

Updating data from PSA to Data Target

I just want to update data from PSA to data target.
There is a process chain running daily it will updating Master Data in to 0Vendor object. This process chain is updating only upto PSA not the data target. I just want to update from PSA to data target.
There is a update rule for 0Vendor but itu2019s not active at the movement and also it is not properly mapped with the 0Vendor.
Is there any other method which I can update data from PSA to Data target with in the same process chain.

If this is BW 3.5, change the infopackage setting to load to data target as well.
This is a other w ay than using the update from infopackage.
if this is 7.0, Use the DTP to load from PSA(datasource) to Target.

PSA to Multiple Data Targets in process chain

Hello All,
I am trying to create a process chain that loads data from an already loaded PSA to further targets. (Note that the infopackage to load from R/3 to PSA is in another process chain). I am using the "Read PSA and Update Data Target" process type. But it allows only one data target. I need to push the data to all the targets of that infosource. Do I have to put a process for each target? Or is there a work around? Please help.

Thank you for your detailed answer. I know that it is mostly not practical to have the InfoPackage and "Read from PSA" package in different local chains. However I am facing a situation where I need to create a chain that just extracts all the data from R/3 and loads it till PSA in BW (This is very time critical, so we do not wish to put any other processing in this chain). And in the second chain, we want to put further processing steps within BW. That is the reason, loading from PSA to ODS needs to be in a separate chain.
Another thing is the variant does have a field to enter Data Target, and that shows only the targets of InfoPackage, but allows me to select only one. However, I will go ahead and try with the Infopkg entry as you suggested.
But if you could just elaborate on why you said, I CANNOT have PSA to Targets in a separate chain, I would really appreciate it!

Deletion of Request which are not updated to data target

hi,
I want to all PSA data whether it is updated or not In our project this is being done by Using a Process chain, But it is not deleting the request which are not updated to any data target or failed, I have selected both the check boxes
Only successfully booked requests
Only requests with errors, not updated in any data target
but even after selecting this check box it is not deleting the failed request, can any one tell me why it is so.
Any help in this would be highly appreciated.

Try to do it without checking any of the checkboxes...

Creating InfoPackage: Data Targets not available for selection. Any hints?

I have 5 ODSes which by design are to feed a 6th ODS. I created 5 update rules, using each of the 5 ODSes, separately as infosources.
The problem is that under the Infosource tree, I see the system generated InfoSouce but while creating the Infopackage, under Data Targets tab, my 5 ODSes are not available. Infact, it gives me no data targets for selection.
Any hints on what I might be missing in the steps?

say you have zods1 to zods6, and zods6 is feed by zods1-zods5,
under infosource tree, you create infopackage from which ods's generated infosource ? i guess zods6,
then yes you wont see any ods in data target, since zods6 has no further update to any data target,
you will see zods6 in generated infosource of zods1,zods2,zods3,zods4,and zods5.
you won't see all zods1-zods5 in one infosource unless they have update rules for all zods1-zods5 with same infosource.
you will need to go one by one infosource for each ods's infosource.

For updating external data to infocube,
I created all the settings in Administrator workbench.
Created infocube &transferrules &update rules but time of updation from flat file its not identify the data target but in dataflow it shows the data target so please let me know why its like this.

While creating the update rules for Info cube, in the first pahe you find the data source with three radio buttons..info source,ods object and info cube...Have you selected the correct info source?..check this..

Set up table data extracted from R/3 not visible in data target of BW

         I am currently working on extracting data from R/3 to BW. I read the several docs given in the forum and did the following:
1) In the LBWE transaction, my extract structure is already active.
2) In SBIW, i went to the filling of set up tables for QM
3) I executed the set up table extraction
4) Then, i checked in RSA3. The extraction was successful.
5) In BW, i replicated the datasource, and in the infopackage, i selected in the
      PROCESSING TAB, "PSA and then into Data targets (Package by Package)
6) In UPDATE tab, i selected FULL UPDATE
7) And then i did immediate load.
8) In RSMO, it showed successful. (It showed the same number of records as in the
      RSA3 of R/3)
          But when i went into the data target (ODS) and checked for its contents, nothing is visible. Why is it so? HAve i skipped any step? Please help.

On checking the Business Content I found that there seems to be no Data target for infosource : 0EC_PCA_3.
Also it seems to be listed under 3.5 infosources in BI7.0.
Any idea on which data target is to be used for 0EC_PCA_3 ?
