Infopacakge run too long

Hi Experts,
I have got a problem with Infopackage in a process chain. The Infopackage loaded about 5 minutes just for one data record(there is only one record to be loaded).
Any one has an idea about this phenomenon?
To solve this problem I have tried to write the record direct in Infoobject with OBJECTVERSION = 'M', then let the changrun to work after the insertion.  The changerun can active the record, but only the keys of the record were actived, all other fields were blank.
Can anyone explain it?
Thanks

Hello ,
Teh time depends upon many factiors of which ofcourse the number of records to eb extracted is most important.
Since in your case the number of records is just one , the reason for the long running load could be :
1.Problem with source system
2.Performace issues with source system or BW system or both
3.Too many jobs running at the same time in the system
4. Hevay routines , Transformation rules /TTransfer n Update rules if BW3.5
To deal with point1 , 2 and 3 , you would need to check SM37, SM66,SM50 and DB02. These transactions would give you an idea about how the system is behaving as far as performance and load on the system is concerned.
if the issue is beacasue of any of these issues , you should kill teh curent job , if still running and run the load again, it will complete soon.Make sure there are enough free dialog process and system space available before runningt he job again.
If the problem is due to the point 4, you need to check teh rules and try to find out if too heavy or complex rules are used , if so you need to analyze teh importance of these rules and if required change them accordingly.
Also in case of point 1, you should check the RSA3 extractor checker to find teh actual records present in the source system.
Regarding manual activation of master data , it will do actication of the all the objects which are changed.

Tapish

  • OCDM  - Sample Report Installation issue - Runs too longer with No progress

    Hello,
As a part of OCDM environment setup for Practice we were successful installing following :
    * Supported Enterprise Linux
    * Oracle DB 11g R2 (OLAP & MINING option)
    * OWB was already installed as a part of Oracle DB 11gR2 - just unlocked the OWB accounts.
    * Installed OBIEE 11g R2 installation - Installation successful and able to open url's. (analytics and BI Publisher etc.) - Issue with login account.
    * Installation of Communication Data Model (First Installation type from OCDM Installer)
When we try to install Sample Reports at same stage the screen remain open and runs too longer with No progress.
The Installation process for OCDM Sample Reports is given in the attached doc with screenshot and the log file is also included in the attached document.
Please let us know the following two issue:
    1) How to login to Analytics after OBIEE 11gR2 installed on Linux - ( in our case we use user as Administrator and tried password same as username, even checked with the user weblogic and other but no success. Please provide us the information which give details(document) about the Administartion of OBIEE 11gR2 on Linux).
    2) The issue with installation of OCDM Sampple Reports though successful installation of OCDM Data Model.(First Installation Type from OCDM Installer)

I can email the screen shots docs and complete log file on request if needed.
It stuck in Configuration Assistance screen -
After more than 1 hour the same screen – No progress – I tried 3 times but same issue. Log file also not growing and seems its waiting for some dependent thing that need to happen before it proceed.

    Hi Please check my answers
    1) How to login to Analytics after OBIEE 11gR2 installed on Linux - ( in our case we use user as Administrator and tried password same as username, even checked with the user weblogic and other but no success. Please provide us the information which give details(document) about the Administartion of OBIEE 11gR2 on Linux).
The current OCDM version does not support BIEE 11g, so you need to install BIEE 10g. In next release(will be available soon), OCDM will support BIEE 11g.
    2) The issue with installation of OCDM Sampple Reports though successful installation of OCDM Data Model.(First Installation Type from OCDM Installer)
The importing will take a long time, you can login database with ocdm_sample_sys/ocdm_sample_sys, and use "select count(*) from tabs;" to monitor the import process.

  • BBP_GET_STATUS_2  running too long

    HI,
the program BBP_GET_STATUS_2  is running too long , even for little number  of records also .
how can we speeed up the  process .

Edited by: vengaladasu on Nov 3, 2008 2:56 PM

    Hi Venga,
maybe the note 1115597 could help as well. Depending on your release there are BBP_GET_STATUS_2 notes also notes for the backend system:
    Backend 4.6C: 1123548
    Backend 4.70: 1123548
    Backend 5.00: 1123548
    Backend ECC 2005 ( SAP_APPL 600): 1123548
If they don't help, the issue should be analysed by performance trace.
    Kind regards,

  • Can the fan break from running too long?

Yesterday I had a high-energy application running on my 13'' MacBook Pro Retina for a good five hours straight. I've used this application a couple times, but never for this long; the fan always runs with this application. Needless to say, the fan was running pretty loud for a while and the MacBook got pretty hot. Today, I launched the same application and the fan is noticeably a lot quieter. Also, the application seems to run a bit slower with some hiccups, wheras before it had run seamlessly. Is it possible I somehow damaged the fan by running the application too long?

It's possible for a fan to burnout. Apple store can replace, not too epensive, you may be able to find online if you do not have isues pulling the MBP apart. How to vids online as well.
You can download iStat to check fan speeds, temps, etc...

  • Compression Job running too long for infocube 0IC_C03

    Hello All,
I have loaded around 50 thousand records ( For two different Plants ) to infocube 0IC_C03 from BX , BF and UM .
I have compressed successfully BX request by removing the check mark for No market Update.
After that I started the Compression for the Request of  BF by checking the NO Marker Update checkmark.
This job is running from last 8 hours .
System performance is Ok and there are no uploads going on.
The compression job is still active.
I tried to kill the job by taking the PID and from T code SM 50 but still I can see active job in SM37.
In Infocube also I can see the Running Compression job .
I could not understand why it is taking so much time to compress the BF data request even though there are very few records.
The BX compression completed within 5 minutes.
But why it is taking too much time for compression BF request ?
How to stop such a request which is active even after I kill the PID from SM50
    Regards ,
    Amol
Edited by: Amol Kulkarni on Apr 24, 2008 9:18 AM

I resolve this issue in this way ,
I noticed that in SM37 job is active even after killing it from SM50.
I wne to infocube Manage ...Collapse tab and then refresh it. So immdiately the job dissapers from Request Tab and when went to SM37 it become cancelled.

  • Query running too long on a partitioned table

    Hello,
I'm trying to run the following query on a 73 million row table, but the query keeps running and running without returning any result within a reasonable amount of time.
    select *
    from svcdepot.service_log l
    where dbms_lob.instr(l.service_log, 'SALESFORCE_ROLE_CREATED') > 0 and rownum < 2
    and create_date > sysdate - .1
this table has a normal index on the create_date table and is also partitioned on create_date. The partition names are like PARTITION20120316 and PARTITION20120311. It says values less than TIMESTAMP' 2012-03-16 00:00:00' and TIMESTAMP' 2012-03-11 00:00:00', respectively. Could someone please tell me how I can modify the query so that it doesn't run forever? It seems to struggle against the create_date column (while I was troubleshooting). I just need one record with that SALESFORCE_ROLE_CREATED text in that clob column.
    Thanks!

  • SRM program running too long BBP_GET_STATUS_2 and is locking carts

Program BBP_GET_STATUS_2 appears to be running for more than 7-8 minutes at a time, and apparently is locking carts (especially those that buyers are in the process of approving)/
The variant we are using is wide open (i.e. there are not selections) what can we do to ensure that it is not looking at every single cart item and only addressing those that are open?
please advise, we are using SRM Server 50 EBP 40, on SAP 47,
    Thank you.
    Bill

    Hi William,
BBP_GET_STATUS_2 should not be executed with default parameters, otherwise for each run you will scan all the SC !!!
To only address those that are open, use the flag "Delivery completed ind.".
I have a customer creating 50 000 SC per months.
So I used a variant with:
    - SC of last <b>30</b> days (because for this customer, the order cycle should be closed in 30 days)
    - Deletion indicator = '' (we don't care about deleted SC)
    - Deletion indicator in BE = ''  (idem)
    - Delivery completed ind = '' (once the SC is received, it is closed in SRM, and does not appear in default "Check status", neither in PO to be received
Another variant scan all the SC from last 365 days, but runs only once a week.
In this case, we don't care about updating SC with invoiced quantity, so once the SC is received, we don't look at it anymore.
    Rgds

I came to know from SDN post that i need to rename the SAPKKD70035.ECD with SAPKKD70035_old.ECD. however i am not able to rename as it says, file in in used.
I don't know how to stop only tp and R3trans on windows. so we stopped the mmc and in services.msc we stopped oracle and SAP process for renaming. but the moment we stopped, usr/sap/trans/tmp show empty. again we started the process it (SAPKKD70035.ECD ) shows under usr/sap/trans/tmp.
I am realy strugling for doing all that kind revert ASAP.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Ajit

    Hi,
I don't know how to stop only tp and R3trans on windows.
You can kill the process from windows "Task Manager".
Just hit CtrlShiftEsc to bring up the Task Manager windows. Go to Process tab
Select View --> Select Column --> Select PID (Process Identifier)
Then you can kill (End Process) particular process by indentifying with its PID.
(In you case PID was 4576...)
    Regards.

  • Repair Permissions Error (Close to Runs too long, No Progress Bar)

I have gotten this Repair Permissions error at least 10 times:
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
One Internal Hard Drive, Erase, Install from scratch using Retail 10.5 DVD.
    Quad 266.
It is similar to Repair Permissions takes forever with no progress bar, I get the Barber Pole for about 10 minutes and then it finishes with the above error. It seems like it is hanging trying to deal with the problem file and can't repair it.

I ran REPAIR PERMISSIONS again after installing Acrobat updaters.
At first I quit because it appeared to be hung.
I re ran it and came back later to this:

  • Will the MBP speakers blow if I play it on max. volume for too long?

Will the MBP speakers blow if I play it on max. volume for too long?

Depends what you call too long. Leave any electronics running too long it will eventually break. Might take years, but no mechanical system is immortal. No computer has yet been built around superconductors either, so heat alone would cause circuitry to fail if it is always powered. While leaving on the machine all the time (except for bad weather) is a good idea since Mac OS X is able to do that, individual components I would not always leave in use. Use your energy wisely. Not to mention max volume for too long could theoretically make you deaf if you listen to it all the time.
    Use common sense.

  • Sometimes my computer takes too long to connect to new website. I am running a pretty powerful work program at same time, what is the best solution? Upgrading speed from cable network, is it a hard drive issue? do I need to "clean out" the computer?

Many times my computer takes too long to connect to new website. I have wireless internet (time capsule) and I am running a pretty powerful real time financial work program at same time, what is the best solution? Upgrading speed from cable network? is it a hard drive issue? do I only need to "clean out" the computer? Or all of the above...not to computer saavy.  It is a Macbook Pro  osx 10.6.8 (late 2010).

Almost certainly none of the above!  Try each of the following in this order:
Select 'Reset Safari' from the Safari menu.
Close down Safari;  move <home>/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db to the trash; restart Safari.
Change the DNS servers in your network settings to use the OpenDNS servers: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
Turn off DNS pre-fetching by entering the following command in Terminal and restarting Safari:
defaults write com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled -boolean false
