InformaCast "SoftKey" Phone Services on Cisco phones

I am doing a BE6K for a customer with CUCM 9.1.2 and InformaCast 8.3. Everything is working as far as DialCast, paging, and notifications. I do want to add a softkey to the phone that allows them to control InformaCast. I believe I need to setup something in the Phone Services page but not sure where I can find the proper URL to enter..
Anyone have any luck with this?

I am testing with an android device, and I had to add a "digest user" on the BOT device in order for this to work. Phone services are now connected.

Unable to Externally Register Phone Services on Cisco Jabber Client via Expressway E

Hi,
I have currently deployed Cisco Jabber along with Expressway C and E for external regeneration without VPN. I have successfully registered IM and Presence service externally on the internet and I am able to chat with other Jabber users.
I am not able to register phone services for Cisco Jabber client who are registering externally over the internet without VPN.
I have checked that all the users are able to use IM and Presence along with Phone services in the internal network and over the internet using VPN. I have configured the required DNS SRV records on both the internal and external DNS Servers.
I am attaching a screen shot of the Jabber Client that is registered over the internet along with this post for your reference.
Appreciate if you can share your thoughts on the same.

I'm not able to synchronize directory services in Cisco Desktop Administrator. I found a document but it's for older versions of Cisco CRS version 3.1(3) SR2. I'm using Cisco CRS version 5.X.

We already performed those steps but it's not working.
On Cisco.com I found the same kind of issue but with CRS 3.1 (Failure to Synchronize Directory Services in Cisco Desktop Administrator - Reset Password). I tried to find a similar document but for CRS 5.x, but all in vain. I will attach the document and I hope and someone can help me to solve this issue in the CRS 5.x version.

Prepaid Services on Cisco 3640 Router

Dear All.
I intend to Configure the Prepaid Services on Cisco 3640 Modular Router for the Long Distance and International Calls.The Service is to Offer the Usual IVR like Welcome to XXX and than the Prompt for PIN Number etc.I have got good hand on the VoIP configuration but have no Idea about the Prepaid Configuration.Can Anyone help me in brining up my Prepaid Services ?? Also,I learnt the Voice Prompts has to be made available .Are they supposed to be inside the Box or can reside on any External Server and can be loaded whenever the Cisco gets a Preapid Call ???Do I have to learn the TCL Scripting to acheive this Proposed Project.Pls,I look forward to get an Early response on the above matter.

What you are refering to is the Prepaid Calling Card system, or DebitCard. You don't need to know TCL unless you want to customise the solution.
Prompts are stored on a tftp server and downloaded as necessary.

Develop XML Service for Cisco UCM

we are looking for guides in order to develop ad hoc XML Service for IP Phone in Cisco UCM (7.x and 8.x).
One of our biggest clients has an internal team of XML developers and asked us what kind of services are possible to add, such as alerts about fault events for Net Administration Team, meetings invitations based on Enterprise calendar or asked just in time by a user to push on IP phone display of the recipients, etc.
I am aware that many Cisco Developer Partners already offer such services in their products, but I can not suggest the purchase of a suite of third-party to a company that has invested in developing their own software.

How do I get rid of an internet service provider (Cisco) that I never wanted but Cisco keeps me from getting online with my own internet service provider?

I have tried to get rid of an internet service provider named "Cisco" that keeps blocking me from getting on the internet. I have no idea how "Cisco" is doing this. I have only one internet service provider that is Not "Cisco" . "Cisco" keeps coming up on the screen to sign in with a password which of course I do not know and do not want. I went into Safari preference to change the settings and found 2 that I do not want. I thought I had gotten rid of this "link sys" but keeps returning and shows that it is locked. How do I get rid of these in my Safari preferences without a password to them. I only want the one internet service provider that I have to be there and not the other two. Thank you so much.

That is the login into the router itself. Most routers, in order to set them up the first time or after a reset or power fail, have this login procedure. You connect to the router login and configure the settings for your use.
Is this a new router or has it been recently reset in some way? As was written above if the router was provided by your isp then contact them for the setup procedures.
If the router is yours (or someone else's in your household) you need to look at the manual that came with it or go to manufactures website for instructions on how to set it up.

Our Call Manager configuration is shown below.
To access the feature, we hit the Services Button, are prompted with a Personal Address Book option, select it, then are promoted for a UserID/PIN (shown further below), at which point I enter my LDAP ID and a PIN. The PIN is created in Call Manager under User Management ==> End User ==> PIN.

If there are few devices which you are more concerned of then you can add them under CRITICAL poller list.

If the critical set of devices is more than 30, the amount of traffic generated as part of the polling cycle will use a large amount of bandwidth.

Mopria print service and cisco mDNS

Hello,
I have a customer who is trying to do printer discovery via an Android Nexus 5 running the Mopria print service to a Mopria enabled printer and it is not showng up. The wireless he is on is a AP2602i on a WiSM2 running 7.4.121 with mDNS enabled and multicast disabled. The Bonjour/Airprint service works fine, Ipads, Iphones, etc. can discover the Airprint enabled printers.
The strange part of this is that at another different site on a AP1131 and WiSM running 7.0.250 and Multicast enabled it the Mopria discovery works. I have read that the Cisco mDNS on the controllers does NOT support third party apps so I turned ON multicast on the WiSM2 but that did not solve the issue. Do I need to make a mDNS service set in the controller maybe? Anyone know the service string?

The best way to figure out the service string is to use a bonjour discover app. You can get one for Windows, Mac and IOS devices. You would connect to that particular device and you will be able to see the service string and be able to add that. If the Android and the Mopria print service is on the same vlan, then, maybe its something else that needs to be looked at. Can other devices discover that printer and is the issue only with a certain type of device?

Amcom Messenger Service to Cisco 7921/7925

When we try and send a message to a 7921/7925 phone.
We get this error message in AMCOM "Unable to send message to #MAC# due to no IP address. The device is either off, recently turned on, Unregistered or not within the CUCM"
The Amcom message goes through but we get no alert on the phone that we received it .
It was working fine didn't make any changes to Call Manager.

1st thing is does CPI2.x support Network topology View? if not then is that any other feature which can provide Network View (exa :- Map,etc)?
2nd thing is it possible to take Telnet/Ssh of discovered device from CPI2.x then how we can do that?
3rd Thing if we want to add third party device in CPI2.x then what are prerequisite for the same (Vendor MIB, etc) and procedure?

Since you don't have any data as such on PI 2.1 , go ahead installed PI 2.2 on the Appliance.
Yes , you need to download , the .ISO image and burned it on DVD and start the installation.

well... I am running 12.4(21a)ja1 on my 1240 and Iam able to enable and to disable any of the stream options..
as a matter of fact, I dont see any of that configuration on the config.txt that you attached... we should be seen this under that radio interface...

If this is a manual step (which I believe it is), this is not something I did when I originally provisioned the MMS.
But I have tried it, and still, the Terms Sets are not available when I go to Site Settings > Term Store Management
Just to confirm what I just attempted:
Central Admin > Application Management > Manage Service Applications > %ManagedMetaDataService% > Permissions
Under Connection Permissions, I added the service account which is the identity for the Web Application and gave it
'Full Access to Term Store'
Is there an additional step I missed? I have looked at the SQL permisisons as they all seem fine.

Add a new personalized softkey to my phone

I want to add a new softkey to my phone to have access to all my spedd dials. Someone say me that it is possible. I want to do that to my Cisco IP phone 7912 beacause I only have direct access to 4 of my speed dials.

you cannot create a softKey to add more speedDials.
a speed dial is a physical line on the phone associated with a DN button.
you may be talking about your FastDials and wanting a single softKey to get to those...is this what you want?

Hi all.
I am not a pro in development but i am interested in learning xml and developing service for cisco ip phones. I know there is cisco sdk for it (i think) but is there any website or articles that can help me get started ? i know there was 1 book from cisco press but its very old and i think its outdated now. Pls guide me

I have that book - there is new stuff for sure, but in terms of the operation of the phone's browser and the XML objects you can use, the basics are still the same. The book does a reasonable job of going over the basics which isn't something you can expect from the Cisco SDK docs. To be honest I'm quite experienced with the various APIs now but a lot of the documentation isn't clear, and I'm sure that's not (always) a lack of understanding on my part.
The question would really be 'what do you want to do?'. There are a wealth of APIs available for providing various functionality and the interface presented on the phones may only be a small part of it.
