Informatica 9.0.1 Repository Service Shutdown Error when Running ETL in DAC

Hi All,
When I executed the ETL in DAC client for full data load, I got this error from log "PLP_LoyMemberTierMovementQtrAggr.log".
"Failed to connect to the repository on Host : hkhgc01dvapp01, Port : 6315. System Error (errno = 111): Connection refused.)"
Does it relate to the "Minimun Port Number" and "Maximun Port Number", I set both of them to 6315 in the node01's "Advanced Properties".

what you are describing does not sound like a mapping issue. It sounds more like a network issue or issue with your client/server services. Did you try to stop/restart all services. First see if you can stop/restart everything (DAC, INFA) re-open a new client connection. Then see if you can open the mapping and validate it. Once this is complete, try to run just the workflow standalone. If that is successful, restart the execution plan. Overall, it sounds like a server or connectivity issue, not a mapping logic issue. if this was helpful, mark the response as correct.

There is no table V_ADDR_ORG but S_ADDR_ORG in the Siebel transaction database. So I don't know why it generate this sql when transfering data to OBAW. This is the out of box bi application.

Yes you missed to create views for source tables. so in dac design>> tables tab, select any table and right clieck on it then click on change capture scripts>> generate view scripts. it will ask you whether it can generate script for all the tables. so it will generate view script for you. now run the entire esript in source database. then your problem will be solved.

Informatica 8.6.0 Repository Service fails with PCSF_10342 Exception

Hi all,
I am completing an Oracle BI Applications 7.9.6 install on Linux RH 5.0 and was f=getting on well until I have become stuck when trying to create the Informatica 8.6.0 Repository Service.
Following the notes in Section 4.6.3 Creating the Informatica Repository Service of document Link:[Installation Guide for Informatica PowerCenter Users|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14223_01/bia.796/e14217/windows_ic.htm#CBHBAJIC].
The first step was to install the Informatica PowerCenter 8.6.0 services + the HotFix 4.0. This completed successfully with a single Domain and Node installed on an application tier with the Domain repository stored in schema INFA on an Oracle database 10.2.0.4 (DWHD). I then moved onto creating a new schema (INFA_RESP) for the Repository. Unfortunately, after trying to create a Repository Service in the Domain folder I received the following error:
+The Repository Service was created, but the service could not be enabled. You must enable the service to create the content. The following error occurred while attempting to create the content. Error - [PCSF_10342] Exception occurred: [Unable to start service [INFADevRepository] on any node specified for the service.].+
Note I have tried creating both a Local and Global Repository and receive the same error message. I suspect it has something to do with the database connection. When I review the Domain properties it details each value for the Database Host, Port, Name and User. However, in the Repository Service it prompts for the ConnectString. The Informatica Administration documentation details using dbname.world for Oracle although I would have expected to have a connection string of Host:Port:ServiceName.
Any suggestions or help greatly appreciated.

When your repository service is created, it will default to Exclusive operating mode. You need to set it to Normal before creating the Integration Service. If this is documented anywhere, I haven't found it.

Error when running P6 web services Demo

I am trying to run P6 web services demo application, p6 web services server is running, however I get this error when running the demo application:

If you are getting this error, then you are most likely compiling your code with a different JVM than what is shipped with the application server. Oracle9iAS Release 2 (9.0.2) uses the JDK1.3.1. I got this error when I compiled the code with JDK1.4.0_01.

"Missing Class" error when running web service

Hi,
I am getting an "Missing Class" error when running a web service. The web service was generated from a Java class via the "create J2EE web service" option.
The web service has a JAX-RPC handler class added, which belongs to the same package as a logging class. The logging class is used to write to a file for debug purposes. A "missing class" error is being generated whenever I attempt to invoke the web service (via the enterprise manager test util), the error refers to the logging class which is used by the main handler class. The JAX-RPC handler works fine by itself, the error is only seen when I attempt to use the logging class.
I have re-built, re-deployed from scratch again, but still get the same error! Am I missing something simple here?

Getting an Error When Running Server 2012 R2 adprep /forest prep on a 2012 DC

I am getting an error when running adprep /forest prep on a Server 2012 domain controller. The main parts of my domain are as follows:

did you check which servers has FSMO roles?
You can do that via command prompt: netdom query fsmo
For forestprep you must do that on DC which have Schema Operations marter role.
Command

Number of times to run the command
adprep /forestprep
Must be run on the schema operations master for the forest.
Once for the entire forest
adprep /domainprep
Must be run on the infrastructure operations master for the domain.
Once in each domain where you plan to install an additional domain controller that runs a later version of Windows Server than the latest version that is running in the domain.
Note
Domains where you will not add a new domain controller will be affected by adprep /forestprep, but they do not require you to run adprep /domainprep.

Getting error when running process flows in oem

I'm trying to run a process flow in oem (using oem_exec_template.sql script), but it keeps failing with error "nms-1013: sqlplus does not exist". I tried running a map too and it failed with same message.

Error when running smart issue

Hello,
We are experiencing an error when running most any smart issues in our system. The smart issue 'executes', and then fails, with the following stack trace:
This smart issue request has failed due to the following exception: Error processing Spec Drew Formulation Specification Test 20130322a(5084230-001). Reason: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Stacktrace: at Xeno.Prodika.GSMLib.Security.SpecPermissionManagerFactory.SpecPermissionManager.UserIsGlobalAdmin(IUserService usrService) at Xeno.Prodika.GSMLib.Security.SpecPermissionManagerFactory.SpecPermissionManager.HasPermission(IPermissionArgs args) at Xeno.Prodika.GSMLib.Security.SpecificationBasedPermissions.HasPermission(String type, EnumPermissions permission, IBaseSpec spec) at Xeno.Prodika.Services.Specification.SpecificationService.HasReadPermission(IBaseSpec spec) at Xeno.P. Please correct the problem and re-issue this request. Smart issue will begin re-issuing where it stopped.
The user performing the smart issue has read permissions on the specifications, and is also in all 3 of the smart issue groups. This happens with multiple users when issuing multiple different specifications. Any thoughts?

Smart Issue Requests are executed by the remoting container. It sounds like the remoting container user doesn't have access to the specifications.
I believe this user is set in environment settings with the Prodika.RemotingContainer.SysUser node.

Tomcat 5.5 is using Servlet 2.4 & JSP 2.0.
Have you compiled the taglib using the correct version of servlet.jar ?

Hi Simon,
Looking at the exception, it seems the machine is so slow that it could not give enough time for the report engines to start up can also result in this exception.
Please try the following :
Increase the callbacktimeout parameter for the report server. In server conf file that increase the callbacktimeout parameter for the report server from 1 minute (60000 milliseconds) to 3 minutes(180000 milliseconds)

HotSpot JVM InternaL Error when running on Mac OS X

I am getting the following error when running a Java process on Mac OS X 10.1.3. This
occurs after runing the process for a few hours. What could be the probable causes for

I am getting the same error, while trying to debug on Windows XP.
I can reproduce it every time, but can't find much info about it.

Critical error when running BEX

Hi,
My students are getting a critical error when running BEX analyser (excel shuts down). I understand there is a patch for BEX .... where can I find it?

The reason for the Critical Error could be the usage of older Patch.
The Latest BEx Client can be found in the SMP at following location :

Error when running a report in BPC NW

I am getting the following error when running a report for my application in BPC NW.
EVDRE encountered an error retrieving data from the Web Server (retrying in (X) seconds).
This error comes with this dialog option box to either continue or cancel retrying retrieving data. Retrying doesn't help either.
Any report I run (on any of my appsets), I get this error. I used the EVDRE function and also tried running a report using the template as the basis. But I get the error either way.
Does anyone know why this error is occurs or how to debug this issue. I saw some information about this in earlier threads but could not make much out of it.
Appreciate any assistance.

This is a very generic error...Couple of places to look for....
1)Reprocess the application (Modify application + Reassign SQL Index + Process Application)
2)optimizing the application sometimes helps (Full Optimize + Compress Database + Index defragmentation).
3)Create a "evdataserver_debug.txt" in user's private publication folder on server side to populate very detail level logging and check the log on client side EVDRE_LOG.txt for further peek into where things are getting messed up.
if evdataserver_debug.txt does not get populated on BPC 5.x...it is an issue with IIS authetication on Application server.
4)You have to check the event viewer into .NET server and also the BPC logs which can be found into
BPC\Logging for further details ..
