How do I get information about items in a collection via REST API?

Hi There -
I am trying to get information, specifically the last comment date, for each item in a collection. I am trying to do this with the REST API. I have tried the following approaches:
/v1/activities/{activity id}/items - This API does not appear to return the items in the colleciton. I get the collection item in the returned XML, but not the items in the collection.
/v1/items/{item id} - I tried using this API with the collection item id, but it does not provide details for the items contained in the collection.
I would ideally like to be able to use an API to get a list of all of the items in a collection, then go over that list to get the most recent comment and comment date in the item.
Any help is appreciated. Code examples are API descriptions would be great.

Hi Robert,
/v1/items/{item-id}/item_data with {item-id} being the ID of the collection item should return an XML containing the item IDs of the items in the collection.
In a second step you can call /v1/items/ with the items IDs of the items in the collection. This should get you the meta data.

Order - create with reference - more information in Item selection ??

Hi all:
We are using "Copy control " from Quotation to Sales order..., it works OK.
But we are facing a problem now... The user used to copy all Quotation as 1 SO and now they need to choose the specific items.
So, they using VA01 -> Create with reference -> Item selection -> "Then Choose items"
But the screen only has information about "Item/Material No./Material description and Open quantiry"... not enought for user, they need more info like Plant, batch ... to choose the item.... any setting can make it??
I have tried "Table setting" and IMG but found nothing !!
I know we can copy all first and remove it, but is there any way we can choose them from "Item selection"...

Information about the deleted sales order line item in idoc.

I am new to IDOC.We have the following idoc requirement,
When a line item is deleted from the sales order(VA02) ,
the outbound idoc getting triggered for the sales order has the information about the rest all line items other than the deleted line item.We now want the information about the deleted line item in the Idoc .

I am using ORDRSP message type , where in E1EDP01- ACTION contains value "000" .
And the Deletion line item is not been captured, is there any configuration setting required to
capture the deleted line item in Idoc.
Based on the posting in this thread i understand that there is an indicator which has to be set .

Apc asset, information about payments and debts to a vendor

Dear sap colleages
I need to know these information about an ASSET:
Purchased orders,
Items from purchase orders,
which of these items i've received, i've paid (also date), i've not paid ( amount of debt related to asset)
payments in advanced (date),
wich of these payments have been cleared (clearing date) and wich not,
who is the vendor,
other expenses (such as delivery)
the amount of taxes,
invoices related and NOT RELATED TO purchase order
payments without invoice
Which transactions do i need to follow?
or
Which document flow?
or
Which tables? Wich keys?
or
Is there a standard report that can give me such information?
Any documentation and/or code will be appreciated.
I need to program a report to integrate all these information.

Regarding payments to vendors,refer to FBL1N - Display/Change Line Items .
Select the company code and then open items radio button and today date.It will show what are payments still to be paid to the vendor.If you select cleared items, it will show the payments paid to the vendor.If you select all items radio button, it will show all paid and unpaid payments to the vendor.
Check this report whether it fills your requirment.
When the user posts the business transaction, he has to input all the details, otherwise some of the information may be missing.
Please let me know if you need more information.

How to get information about PowerPivot options

I was going through the Custom Xml structure present after unzipping a PowerPivot enabled excel file.
My main motive is to extract information pertaining to PowerPivot options present in the Excel File.
It had around 16- 19 Custom Xmls, I had a little confusion and it would be great if you could help me on this :
1. In the workbook.xml.rels file, there is entry for each Cutomxml file. For ex. –
But according to my interpretation, each of these entries must be referenced also. What i mean is that the specific Rel ID i.e. rId30 (for the above entry) must be referred somewhere in the package that is why it is mentioned in the Workbook.xml.rels.
But i couldn’t find it anywhere. So how does Excel does all the mapping that which Custom XML is referred to?
2. I found out that for each table in the PowerPivot window, there is a Custom XML present in the Custom XML’s folder.
But, there are other field also present such as ‘ColumnFormat’, ‘ColumnNegativePattern’, but these are not getting updated whenever I am changing these for any table.
I can get the Column names of the table but how can i find out what Format has been applied to the Column of the tables.
3. Moreover, I found a bunch of Custom XML’s but couldn’t really make sense out of them that what they were pointing to.
For ex. – CustomXml with namespace – Gemini xmlns=”http://gemini/pivotcustomization/a1265ca3-5c9c-4281-be48-a1a026385b0a”
or “Gemini xmlns=”http://gemini/pivotcustomization/IsSandboxEmbedded””
It would be highly beneficial if you can help with these namespaces and their interpretation.
4. I understand that majority information is present in the database i.e. Item.data file and also in the Temp folders when the file is opened.
I got through some files present in the Temp Folder and could get my hands on information about Column Format, Formula in case of Calculated Columns. But how do I find out the exact path for the Temp folder every time I open the file.
I could find some paths in the Item.data file in the BackUpFile nodes but those didn’t exist.
So is there is any way by which I can get those paths.
Sorry if the query is a little long, but I am actually stuck with the above questions acting as bottleneck.

[CS3 JS] Getting information about Photoshop images in InDesign

Hello,
Through an InDesign script I can get many pieces of information about an image such as the file name, resolution in PPI, dimension in inches, color mode, etc.
What I am wondering is if it is possible to find out how many layers a Photoshop image may have. I would like a quick way to know if an image has been flattened (one layer) without having to open up the image in Photoshop.

Thanks very much for your reply. I looked over the article you mentioned, but I have tried all of these methods, but only get the response "The item “29394D00” can’t be moved to the Trash because it can’t be deleted." Similarly, I cannot Get Info on the file. This is why I'm so concerned, it just appeared on my desktop, but I cannot touch it, or open it or delete it...
If you have any more tricks up your sleeve, I'd love to hear about them...

The pricing technique used by most retailers is cost-plus pricing. This involves adding a markup amount (or percentage) to the retailers cost. Another common technique is suggested retail pricing. This simply involves charging the amount suggested by the manufacturer and usually printed on the product bize the manufacturer.
In Western countries, retail prices are often so-called psychological prices or odd prices: a little less than a round number, e.g. $6.95. In Chinese societies, prices are generally either a round number or sometimes a lucky number. This creates price points.
Often prices are fixed and displayed on signs or labels. Alternatively, there can be price discrimination for a variety of reasons, where the retailer charges higher prices to some customers and lower prices to others. For example, a customer may have to pay more if the seller determines that he or she is willing to. The retailer may conclude this due to the customer's wealth, carelessness, lack of knowledge, or eagerness to buy. Another example is the practice of discounting for youths or students. Price discrimination can lead to a bargaining situation often called haggling, in which the parties negotiate about the price. Economists see this as determining how the transaction's total surplus will be divided into consumer and producer surplus. Neither party has a clear advantage, because of the threat of no sale, in which case the surplus vanishes for both.

In the present world most of the developed economies are using the Retail Industry as their vital growth instrument. In fact, the strength of the Retail Industry lies in its ability to generate large volume of employment.

Emergence of a strong Retail Sector can contribute immensely to the economic development of any country. With a dominant retail sector, the farmers and other suppliers can sell their produce directly to the major retail companies and can ensure stable profit. On the other hand, to ensure steady supply of goods, the Retail Companies can inject cash into the production system. This whole process can result into a more efficient production and distribution system for the economy as a whole.

It first was recorded as a noun with the meaning of a "sale in small quantities" in 1433 (French). Its literal meaning for retail was to "cut off, shred, paring". According to Jim there are three major types of retailing. The first is the market, a physical location where buyers and sellers converge. Usually this is done in town squares, sidewalks or designated streets and may involve the construction of temporary structures (market stalls). The second form is shop or store trading. This type of retail is common for small expensive items (e.g. jewelry) and controlled items like medicine and liquor. Buildings for retail have changed considerably over time. Market halls were constructed in the Middle Ages, which were essentially just covered marketplaces. The first shops in the modern sense used to deal with just one type of article, and usually adjoined the producer (baker, tailor, cobbler). In the nineteenth century, in France, arcades were invented, which were a street of several different shops, roofed over. counters, each dealing with a different kind of article was invented; it was called a department store. One of the novelties of the department store was the introduction of fixed prices, making haggling unnecessary, and browsing more enjoyable. This is commonly considered the birth of consumerism [3]. In cities, these were multi-story buildings which pioneered the escalator.
In the 1920s the first supermarket opened in the United States, heralding in a new era of retail: self-service. Around the same time the first shopping mall was constructed [4] which incorporated elements from both the arcade and the department store. A mall consists of several department stores linked by arcades (many of whose shops are owned by the same firm under different names). The design was perfected by the Austrian architecht Victor Gruen[5]. All the stores rent their space from the mall owner. By mid-century, most of these were being developed as single enclosed, climate-controlled, projects in suburban areas. The mall has had a considerable impact on the retail structure and urban development in the United States. [6]
In addition to the enclosed malls, there are also strip malls which are 'outside' malls (in Britain they are called retail parks. These are often comprised of one or more big box stores or superstores.
Non-traditional exterior of a SuperTarget, JacksonvilleLocal shops can be known as brick and mortar stores in the United States. Many shops are part of a chain: a number of similar shops with the same name selling the same products in different locations. The shops may be owned by one company, or there may be a franchising company that has franchising agreements with the shop owners (see also restaurant chain).
Some shops sell second-hand goods. Often the public can also sell goods to such shops, sometimes called 'pawn' shops. In other cases, especially in the case of a nonprofit shop, the public donates goods to the shop to be sold (see also thrift store). In give-away shops goods can be taken for free.
There are also 'consignment' shops, which is where a person can place an item in a store, and if it sells the person gives the shop owner a percentage of the sale price. The advantage of selling an item this way is that the established shop give the item exposure to more potential buyers.
The term retailer is also applied where a service provider services the needs of a large number of individuals, such as with telephone or electric power.
IS Retail was original develop to meet specific needs of Retail industry where standard SD/MM cannot.

Release code is a two-character identifier with which a person responsible for processing a document can release/ approve an item of a purchase requisition, a complete purchase requisition, or a complete external purchasing document, or cancel a release.
If a link to SAP Business Workflow has been defined for the release code, the person can refuse to effect release (withhold approval), thus rejecting the item or document.
You can find the relelase codes Using the following path :
Go to Transaction : SPRO and click on SAP Reference IMG and follow the menu :
-> Material Management ->Purchasing->Purchase Requisition->Release Procedure ->Procedure with classification -> Setup procedure with classification

Information about outbound delivery and its handling units

Hi All experts,
I am working on a requirement where I have to display information about the following :
1. Outbound delivery number.
2. related Handling units( 1 or 2 ) indentification number.
3. Transport number.
4. Shipping to party.
5. Line items of handling units like material inside the handling unit.
6. Material quantity.
In the selection criteria user is given the choice of entering
1.Outbound delivery number.
2.Transport number.
3. Handling unit identification 1 or 2
4. Shipping to party
Based on this information on selection screen ouput needs to come out.
Could you people let me know about the tables and function modules which gives the informaiton back based on these details.

Hi,
Purpose
You can use Handling Unit Management (HUM) to reflect packing-based logistics structures in the SAP System. Using this method, you track the movements of entire handling units and the materials they contain rather than tracking each material individually.
When you base logistics processes on handling units, goods movements processing is made easier, which in turn optimizes all logistics operations. This simplified processing includes the existing packing function in shipping and warehouse processing in the Warehouse Management system, which is expanded here.
Features
In the system, the handling unit (HU) expands on the shipping unit. Handling units can be nested, which means that you can create new handling units from several handling units as often as you like. At the material item level, HUs contain the complete material identification, the quantity, and, in the case of serial numbers, the respective object list. Handling units have unique, scannable identification numbers that can be developed according to standards such as EAN 128 or SSCC.
Handling units contain all inventory management information of the materials they contain that are maintained in Inventory Management. There are also status messages that you can call up at any time that indicate whether a handling unit is only planned or if the ship-to party has been notified of the arrival of this handling unit, or whether it is in the warehouse or has already been posted to goods issue. The integrated history function also records each business process in the life cycle of each handling unit, meaning that you can track the handling units path and development at any time.
In HU-managed storage locations, all goods movements are executed through the specification of the respective HUs, and Inventory Management is performed through the handling units. If you are not working with HU-managed storage locations, you can use handling units (without stock information) as before in the delivery and in the shipment.
In HU-managed storage locations, materials can be managed in HUs only. Mixed stock (stock made up of packed and non-packed materials within the same storage location) is not supported. HUs can also be managed in interim storage types. Unpacking a material from an HU means that the stock of the material is posted to a storage location that is not HU-managed.
If you call up normal material movements in connection with an HU-managed storage location, a delivery is created, rather than a direct material posting, which has been the procedure up to this point.
Handling units are unique at client level in at least one system. Using an indicator at client level (see Unique Identification of Handling Units), you can control whether you are going to work with the HU functions. Since the handling unit is a physical unit, the central logistics processes are controlled through the input of the handling unit identification. These processes include putaway, picking, and stock transfers, as well as goods receipts and goods issues.
A handling units mobility can be limited if quality checks are active. Changes in the stock category caused by a quality inspection are made using a posting change in the handling unit.
There is also a report available that you can use to find and display handling units using different selection criteria such as material, packing instruction, or storage location.
Although the handling unit is basically a unit that remains constant in the system, you can change it by repacking the materials it contains. All the packing functions, such as packing, repacking, and unpacking, are completely supported by the handling unit function. In this way, handling units can be created in production, during goods receipt, or in the packing areas of the warehouse. If you have automatic packing, the handling unit is created from the packing proposals defined in the system (from the packing instructions, for example).

- To see how many scheduling agreement is created for a given period, use VA05, click on [Further sel criteria] and tick the box against [Sales Document type] Now input the scheduling agreement type and execute. You will get list of all scheduling agreements created within the specified period.
- You can see how many line items are created in a sale order for a given period via VA05.

Reporting Current FIFO Layer Cost

Besides the Inventory Revaluation transaction, is there anywhere in the system that I can report the current FIFO layer cost? My client has a multi-step manufacturing process and they'd like to know the current cost of their BOMs at any one time. Is there a table where the FIFO layer info is stored?

To my knowledge the only place from where SBO calculates the FIFO cost is based on quantity movements which it keeps track in the OINM table (Warehouse Journal).
It does not seem to store the information anywhere else. To know the FIFO layer info use the following SQL. You can enter your ItemCode and Warehouse Code in place of 'xx' and 'yy'.
SELECT transNum, openQty, CalcPrice from OINM
where openQty > 0 and itemCode = 'xx' and Warehouse = 'yy'
ORDER BY transNum
