Information broadcasting - precalculation error for BEx workbooks

Hi,
i have problem with Information broadcasting for BEx workbooks 7.0. At the log display of transaction RSRD_ADMIN i get a red status message with " Cannot precalculate workbook XYZ" -> connection transfer did not succeeded.
At the transaction RSPRECADMIN -> show queue (program: RS_PREC_SHOW_QUEUE) , i see that the request is listed as "successful precalculations" (?!)
Some hints:
-Further tests (2 days ago) were successful for workbooks and query email-bursting
-Precalculation server is switching between green and yellow status every refresh
Do you have any ideas or hints?

Hello,
I would like to suggest you something:
Go to Windows -> Services (Start -> RUN -> Services.msc)
Stop the SAP Precalc. Server
Start the SAP Precal. Server Multi-instance.
ON THE PRECALCULATION SERVER, access your system via SAPGUI and go to RSPRECADMIN.
Then, there is the tip, register 10 times the Precalculation Server with different names.
E.g.
Precalc1
Precalc2
Precalc3
Precalc4
Precalc10
Then, test again.

Information Broadcasting - precalculated workbook is empty

Hi,
we are facing the issue, that workbooks which are being distributed via Information Bradcasting (Business Explorer -> Tools -> Distribute Workbook) are being distributed, but without any results (so only the workbook template) even we have maintained the input values variant. we do also have a running Precalculation Server (checked via transaction RSPRECADMIN).
Can somebody help?

Make sure you've downloaded and installed latest version of Precalculation Service (BWAPSERV12_0-10002960). When installing, make sure you have full admin rights.

After implementing Note 992032 getting errors in Bex workbook

Hi All,
After Implementing the note 992032 (You must first implement Notes 932065, 935140, 948389, 964580 and 969846, which provide information about using transaction SNOTE. Otherwise, problems and syntax errors may occur when you deimplement some notes) getting error messages in BEx workbook when try to filter on any InfoObject but when I run query I'm getting data but not able to filter, we are using BI 7 on patch 11. When implementing the note number 964580 it's giving error and this particular note number is not yet implemented.
Getting error messages like:
1. Error reading the data of InfoProvider 0FIAR_O03
2. An error occurred in the program:
3. ORA-20000: Insufficient privileges ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS", line 2150 ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS", line 14112 ORA-06512: at line 1
4. System error in program CL_RSR_WWW_RENDERER and form GET_FILTER_VALUES_CHA:03 (see long text)
Before implementing 992032 everything worked well.
Could anyone please help!

We are getting similar errors after applying BW SP11 yesterday on our dev BW system. I've opened a message with SAP support . If anyone gets a solution for this please post it.

Information Broadcasting - Precalculation of Web Template

Hi Gurus,
BW has Reporting Agent where we have the precalculation of which Web Template ,which stores the HTML template in the server and renders the same at run time .
how does the Information Broadcasting address this particular issue ,

According to documentation there is the distribution type "Precalculation Store" in Information Broadcasting. Up to now I never managed to see that entry in the system.
What are the pre-requisities to get that entry?

Information broadcasting in 2004s for pdf and HTML format throws error

hi experts,
I am broadcasting via e-mail, when i use output format as MHTML or XML it works fine, when i change the output format to pdf or html (as zip file) i get the following errors
For PDF

We are not using the new authorizations we are still on 3.5 authorization and we tried for an user with SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW authorization , so i am not sure if this is an authorization problem.
We have a new issue on hand, initially i was able to broadcast thru xml,mhtml, xml formats, yesterday our portal was down, when the portal was brought up, i found that even the ones that were working were now throwing an error.
I spoke with the basis person, and he told me user mappings were lost, but even after restoring the user mapping were restored we still have the problem.
If this error is caused by lack of new authorization, atleast we know what we are dealing with, but for now iam not sure if this error is due to authorization or some settings on the web server side.

Hello,
who can explain to me, what is the task of the precalculation software which is installed locally on my PC/laptop?
Can afterwards precalculation started only locally from that Hardware? What about precalculation in the background?

Precalculation service installed on the client PC is used for creating precalculated Excel workbook via BEx broadcaster. it work locally from BI server but background. This software is from BW 3.5.

I'm trying to create a Broadcasting for a query with HTML format. All the steps, including the scheduling, were succesfully. But when I click on Execute button, I got the following error message:

Information Broadcasting Zip Error

Hello Forum.
We are facing a problem for broadcasting a query with the dispatch type HTML in the Zip format with the error message "Error When Creating ZIP file (return value 1 when IGS was called ) "
Unable to find the reason and the soultion of the problem.

Transport Error For Bex Query to BW Production

Dear Experts,
We are facing an issue during transport of a Bex report.
The RC 16 error has taken place. After I did google; I found this as below, but not the exact steps to solve this:
Return code (16) indicates import is cancelled.
Ex: RC 16 error
1. Import cancelled due to system down while importing.
2. Import cancelled due to user expires whileimporting
3. Import cancelled due to insufficient roles.
Would you please suggest me how to encounter this error, solve the error and successfully transport the Bex Query?

I'd remove the Tascam driver and retry. If this doesn't help, remove the IPtouch and retry,
If it crashes, let the crash reporter send the log to Apple.
If not, report back here. ;-)
Instead of the IPtouch you might try Apple's own Logic remote app. Has a lot functionality beyond the usual remoting, like documentation, that follow your work, like QuickHelp.

i'm trying to send the workbooks by Information Broadcasting but getting the error mentioned below
E BExExcelPrecDLL.StartCalc: Connection was not passed to Excel
excel security is set to "low".

Kindly carry out precalculation server set up with the help of basis team.
Prerequisites for setup:
     Install Microsoft .Net Framework (installed with SAP Frontend)
     Install SAP GUI 6.40
     SAP Netweaver 7.0 BI Frontend (BI Add-On).
     Install Microsoft Excel 2000 or higher
Main steps for setup:
     Install the pre-calculation software that is part of BI Add On.
     After Finishing the installation go to the Services Window of your operating system
     Search for Service called SAP BW PRECALCULATION SERVICE 7.0. Double click on the service.
     Enable Automatic as Startup type
     In the logon tab, mark the checkbox u201CAllow service to interact with desktopu201D.
     Log on to the BW system from the PC where you created the settings above and enter transaction RSPRECADMIN in order to Create Precalculation Server.
     Enter the technical name of the server (max. 10 characters) and a description. The description is language dependent and appears in the BEx Broadcaster during selection of a special precalculation server. The precalculation server, which from a technical viewpoint is an RFC server, appears in the list.
     Start the Windows service SAP BW Precalculation Service. The precalculation server is ready and the status display of the precalculation server shows a green light. You can now see the server in the Broadcaster setting dialog for a workbook precalculation distribution type.
     There is a log available to do trouble shooting. From Customizing (transaction SPRO): SAP Reference IMG SAP NetWeaver SAP Business Information Warehouse Reporting-relevant Settings General Reporting Settings in Business Explorer  Administer Precalculation Server Select the u2018Documentation for the Serveru2019 icon Display the Front End Log.

Can BEx Automatically execute a report and e-mail it. The requirement is to Execute a Report periodically and send the report in EXCEL SHEET format to the given e-mail ID.
I have tried configuring it in HTML format.... but I need it EXCEL format.

You can send the workbook automatically when you schedule thru information broadcaster.
But you have to install precalculation server for distributing workbook..
Have a look at OSS note 760775 ..

Hi,
We have Bex workbooks created as planning applications in IP.
Could anyone suggest how these workbooks can be called from STS? For web applications we can provide the link to planning application directly in the STS customizing but not sure how we can achieve the same for BEx workbooks.

Hi Guys,
You can broadcast the workbook with <PR_ONLINE_LINK> in the broadcast message get the URL. When you launch the URL later, it will trigger your Bex Analyzer to launch the workbook.

Deleting Information Broadcasting Scheduled Jobs

Does anyone know how to delete an Information Broadcasting setting after the associated workbook has been deleted? The IB job runs when the data provider is updated and just hangs because it can not find the workbook. In IB distribution you can view the scheduled settings, but it does not let you delete.

I am encoutering the same problem from last one month, There was a scheduled job created for Workbook as daily frequency.
The workbook now has been deleted but the scheduled job created for that workbook is triggering everyday.I am unable to delete the setting now.Can you please help me out for deleting this background job!!!!
I deleted the job in SM37 with the option 'delete the job from database'(delete icon)also, but again it is scheduling next day.
Transaction RSRD_ADMIN is not working for me.
Please let me the procedure to delete this background job..answers will be awarded with maximum points
