Information on ThinkCentre M73

I'm looking at a ThinkCentre M73 SFF part number 10B7S09S00. It has a G3220 3.0 GHz processor and 2GB of RAM. I've been trying to find a specific manual for this product but all the models seem glommed together in one manual. If anyone has one of these, how do you like it? What op system did this originally come with? How many sata ports are there? Does it have USB 3.0? Does it have a HDMI port?

Update regarding Flash Player "kill-bit"
As of Flash Player version 10.3, the "kill-bit" is now automatically removed by the Flash Player installer.

ThinkCentre M73 Restarts When I Shut It Down

Here's a strange one. My ThinkCentre M73, Windows 8.1, just purchased last week, restarts after I shut windows down. And it's not because I click the "Restart" button. When I click Shut Down, it shuts down, and then in about 3 seconds it starts up again. Any ideas?

Thanks for the hint. I could not find any wake checkbox on the network adapter configuration, but I have a "Wake" set up in Windows Home Server 2011 when it tries to back it up. I will check that and let you know. Thanks.

Hola, tengo una duda, Si quisiera conectar dos monitores a mi thinkcentre m73 sff, ¿serviría comprar un adaptador display port > VGA y conectar un monitor a la entrada normal VGA y el otro al adaptador?,¿el pc va a enviar señal a los dos monitores? Saludos

Programar encendido y apagado de thinkCentre M73 y de ThinkCentre 108 A number 001MLS .

No se si a nivel de BIOS puedes configurar un horario de apagado y encendido.
Yo uso un programa para realiizar un apagado programado yo uso el programa "AMP WinOFF", tiene multitud de opciones y funciona perfectamente en Windows 7 y 8. Ademas es Freeware.

Thinkcentre M73 SFF graphics and ram

Is there any way to change the amount of ram from main memory that the onboard graphics uses?
if not will it increase if I increase the amount or ram?
in most cases with onboard graphics you can adjust the amount or ram used in the bios, but not with this thing.

ThinkCentre M73's Recovery

Hello,
We've just purchased 14 ThinkCentre M73's and want to know if we need to create recovery media for each PC or will one set of DVDs created on one of them be OK for recovering all the PCs if needed? This is in case the in-built recovery cannot be used or gets wiped.

Vista network driver (winpe 2) for thinkcentre m73? (intel I217-V)

Is there no Vista network driver for the Thinkcentre M73 (Intel I217-V lan network)? It's for Altiris 6.9 Winpe (2).

As far as i know, there is no Windows Vista Network driver for the Intel I217. I have tried to find the vista driver and even installed a WIN7 driver on Ghost Boot Wizard for WinPE 2.0 and i still cannot connect to any ghostcast sessions.

[M73-SFF] - multiple sleep mode problems

My new ThinkCentre M73-SFF will not enter into sleep mode. It also will not stay in sleep mode when I manually put it into sleep mode. It regularly would go into sleep mode when I first purchased it but not so now. I have searched on the net but cannot find any solutions. I have disables the screen saver thinking this was a problem but it did not solve the problem. Anyone know of a solution?

THANK YOU @someotherguy for explaining the problem. This solved all my issues, also for a newly bought laptop. The more recent Windows 7 updates solve the issue by subsuming the fingerprint manager update under the system updates. I know this because it's definitely a different version of fingerprint manager from when I first bought the device last week.
Nevertheless, this is far more useful and informative than the helpdesk chat support personnel I spoke to.
Internetz wins again.

Enable TPM on M73

We have just received some ThinkCentre M73's and need to enable TPM on the pc's as we will be encrypting them with bitlocker as part of an MDT process. On our Dell pc's there are options within the BIOS to enable and activate the chip but I am unable to find this on the M73's. Can anyone advise how I can do this please.

M73 Mini display port Audio

Does anybody know if the Thinkcentre M73 mini display port passes audio if I use a display port to HDMI cable?Thanks!Jasper

I have also have been trying to get audio to work via MDP to HDMI, and have been surfing groups to find out how but it seems that many people have had no luck.
But with a little trial and error, I found that the video sets itself up (plug and play) however the audio settings need selecting and hey presto the audio does work.

Network settings issue M73

We have a number of ThinkCentre M73 units and all of them reset their TCP/IP settings for the DNS server to 127.0.0.1, the loopback adapter. This happens whether the settings are DHCP or Static. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the network adapter driver which is for the Intel 1217-V adapter. Anyone else run into this issue?

We have about 20 units and I have checked 3 and they all have the same issue. IPCONFIG /all shows that the DNS server is 127.0.0.1. The thing is, I can surf the web and the network control panel shows internet connectivity. Did you check the settings once you got your friends machine up and running? We have had these since the first of the year and since we are using DHCP we didn't bother to look at the settings as things are working. We now have one machine we wanted to apply a static IP address to and noticed the problem. Even setting things as static, the DNS settings go back to 127.0.0.1.

I made a clone of Lenovo Think Centre M73 after I clone in Lenovo CPUs of the same type out the command "There has been a signature failure."

Dual monitor for M Series ThinkCentre with Intel hd graphics + i5 650 processor?

I have a M Series (My guess it is M90) ThinkCentre desktop with Intel hd graphics + i5 650 processor (detailed info in pictures below), one vga port on the central unit, I would like to upgrade dual monitors to extend desk.
I checked online, someone said a Intel hd graphics doesn't support dual monitor, but some said yes. My questions are:
1, could I upgrade to dual monitors with the Intel hd Graphics+i5 650 processor instead of upgrading a ATI video card?
2, if 1 is yes, can I attach a vga 15-pin splitter to connect dual monitors? Thanks.

That model does support 2 monitors, the 2nd using the DisplayPort (DP.) Not many monitors support DP as yet, if needed, a DP to DVI, HDMI or VGA can be bought.   Lenovo sells them, or I also recommend an AMD approved adapter :

you need a single-link (if DVI), passive adapter.   And not mini-DP.

ThinkCentre A70 (7099) case fan, what size?

Hi,
I need to get some more air flowing through my ThinkCentre A70 (7099).
There's a place for a fan in the rear of the case below the PSU. I've measured it and I think it's either a 92MM fan or a 100MM fan but I don't want to buy the wrong size fan.
I can't find any information about it on any document from Lenovo. There is no information what so ever about a rear case fan for the ThinkCentre A70 anywhere.
Which size is it?

You might want to use a 3-pin fan with speed adapters, so you can control the amount of air flow (rather than rely on what the BIOS thinks is correct.) I have the precurser to one of these installed with the medium speed adapter:
