Information only on the first page
Hi,
How do I print a portion of the xml only on the first page of the invoice. I am assuming this portion that need to appear on the first page should be put into the footer. But how can I exit out of a loop that is populating the body of the first page and put that portion to the footer. In which case where would the end of the loop reside.

Hi there,
You could try creating sub-templates within your .rtf layout template. Create 2 sub-templates somewhere within yout .rtf and call them <?template:FirstPageFooter?> and <?template:OtherPagesFooter?>, or whatever names you want.
In the first page MS Word footer, call FirstPageFooter (<?call:FirstPageFooter?>) then insert a page break even if you have no fields to display on page 2 and put <?call:OtherPagesFooter?> in the page 2 footer.
Now I have done this in the header before, but not the footer. If this doesn't work the same in the footer you could always just call the sub-templates in the body at the end of page 1 and page2 and not use the MS Word Footer.

Firefox only prints the first page of several multi-page URL's.
When I try to print a multi page URL, it only prints the first page and identifies it as Page 1 of 1, instead of Page 1 of x.
But, IE-8 prints ALL x pages of the same URL perfectly.
I've noticed this exact same FF problem with certain other URL's.
This problem is on the current version 14, and dates back to version 9 or before! Any suggestions?

When I copy/paste text to an ipages empty document can does it only show the first page of what I copied?
You want to use word processing mode. I suggest you ask your question in the Pages forum and include information about what you are copying. Off the top of my head I can't come up with any reason you'd see this in WP mode. https://discussions.apple.com/community/iwork/pages

How do I display text only in the first page inXML Publisher
Hi everybody,
I've been reading so much, on the last two days, on this issue at this forum but I didn't get an answer. My problem is: In an invoices report some text and fields from the invoice header, (such as payment terms, bank details etc.), should be printed only in the first page of the invoice, (If the invoice has more than one page). These elements are not in the document header/footer but in the document body. That's why I think the different fist page of MS Word will not work. I tried also <? start@first-page:body ?>, with no success. Any idea, someone?

Report from SQL Query -Excel format only show the first page

I have some Reports from SQL Query. In the display options, I choose Excel as default format. The Excel documents only show the first page. If I choose HTML as default format, it shows every rows.
Please advise on how to have a complete Excel document as HTML format does.

Lina HanI beleive when you export Oracle reports to Excel it is the Data that is transferred along with Column Names.
You cannot export the variables defined on the report.
Hence you will not be able to export the Footer to excel. (Still looking into it will let you know if i find anything interesting)

Anytime I print any Microsoft KB article, I only get the first page worth of text. This is very troubling because the articles are typically long, and I only get 1 page. The second page always comes out blank (even though in IE it will print out multiple pages with all the text).
My specific example today is listed in the URL below. This example will only print to the "DIR" command, I don't get the full page printed out.
Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have a resolution? I hate having to hit up IE just to print a single article.
I updated to FF 8.01 just to make sure, and I have tried different printers and even computers, to no avail. Even the print preview has the issue, only the first page worth of text is printed and the second page is always blank (even if there are 3, 4, 5, etc pages of data to be printed).
I have also tried the Firefox Menu -> Print command, and the "on-page" print command. I have seen moderate success with highlighting all the text that I want to print and going to "Print-Selection" but it is ugly.

You can not attach a multi-page .pdf document to Pages.
Just create a folder in which you enclose both your Pages letter and the .pdf.

What type of document is the file? (ie. what is the file extension for tie file?)

Why do I only get the first page of a 5-page pdf when I attach it in Pages?
I'm trying to add a multi-page pdf to the end of a Pages document so that I can see what hard copy I sent in the post with the letter. However, I can only attach the first page of the pdf and the other pages don't show. I have tried selecting all the pages and choosing Print Selected Page when creating the pdf, (which was suggested in the Snow Leopard help pages) but the same thing still happens. Just the first page appears. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I'm not sure if this should be posted in Snow Leopard or Pages so I'll try here! Thank you.

Master Page: Alternatives (Subform Set) works only for the first page
Hi everybody!
I have bumped into a very weird problem with ADOBE Forms:
When I create an 'Alternative' in a Context area and then place it on a Master Page, it works only for the first page. On the rest of pages it always show the 'TRUE' subform, regardless of the condition (which is not changed, of course). Absolutely the same Alternative works perfectly in a Content area for all pages.
Has anybody seen something like this? Any ideas why?

Support for viewing PDFs in emails and web-pages is built in to the iPad. You need not have bought an app for that.

Pages will only display the first page of text.
Pages will only display the first page of text. New pages are created as usual but blank and pages are visible through quick views. Reinstalling does not fix the problem, I don't know if it is an issue with settings. Pages v 4.1 on OS 10.7.4. Running on new macbook with retina.
This is apparently a retina issue. Update hopefully soonYou have not said but it sounds like you are using a Macbook pro with retina display.
Pages is exhibiting all sorts of problems with the Retina display which Apple is supposedly working on.

My MacBook pro mid 2012 doesn't seem to have a "save as" function, so I can't seem to save multiple page pdf's together after moving thumbnails into the sidebar. It only saves the first page.
I do have a 2008 version of Microsoft Office installed to save money, but that shouldn't affect things. I can't figure out the "rename" function either. Help?Oh, and I also reset my NVRAM, my computer hasn't frozen again yet, so I'm not sure if it has made a difference.
