Information Unavailable
More and more frequently I am watching a show in HD on FIOS and have a black screen with the message of Information Unavailable (or something similar) pop up. The only way to clear it is to go to another channel and then back to the one I was watching. I worry this will happen during my recordings when I am not there to switch channels quickly. Does anyone else have this issue and/or know what it could be?
Thank you
If you have a 7xxx series box it is a known issue that is supposed to be resolved in the next release of the software - currently in testing with an unknown distribution date.

Free/busy information unavailable in Outlook 2013 on Windows 8.1 on Exchange 2010
Hi,
This has been discussed a lot inf forums but unfortunately having followed all the guides I have found, I can't resolve it. I am the only user with the issue.
I have primarily followed https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/ee9e1b89-bea1-48aa-9008-cae205c5e816/forum-faq-why-cant-i-retrieve-freebusy-information?forum=outlook
including recreating my profile, installing http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2850061/en-us via
Ofifce 2013 SP1, verifiying the funtion works through OWA etc etc.
I have the full version of Office 2013 Pro not the Click to Run version. It seems to be the Outlook client itself not the Exchange server. I am at a loss what to do next... please help! :)Hi,
Please also enable Automatic Replies in Outlook, check if this feature works well.
Since the issue only occurs to one client and it works on OWA, I suggest you try these steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Start Outlook in Safe Mode. It is always a helpful method to troubleshoot Outlook client issues, when in Safe Mode, Outlook doesn't load with add-ins, we can check if this issue persists when add-ins are disabled:
Press Win + R, type "outlook.exe /safe" in the blank box, press Enter.
If there's no issue in Safe Mode that you can find free/busy information again, disable the suspicious add-ins to verify which one caused the problem.
2. Perform a clean boot. This helps determine whether the issue is related to some background programs, any 3rd-party programs will be disabled. If the issue doesn't occur in Clean Boot, then we may suspect it's related to some 3rd-party programs, the detailed
steps can be found in this link below:

It's recommended to download and install
Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office
programs. -
Acpi says "battery rate information unavailable"
acpi reports the battery percentage, but it can't estimate the time. Is there a way to tell if this is acpi's fault or my hardware's fault?

We discourage responding to old threads because things in Linux change so fast and we do not want to create confusion between old problems and their solutions and the new. In this case, it is of no matter, there was no real meat in the thread to begin with. Carry on...

I nearly made a comment about how the plan doesn't show Bloom filter pruning either - and then I realised why not. The plan you've shown us comes from Explain Plan with literal values present; the trace file shows bind variables with names that are generated when cursor_sharing is set to force or similar - so the run-time plan and the plan from explain plan are almost guaranteed to be different.
Oracle support will need you to supply the plan you get from trying to run the query and then making a call to dbms_xplan.display_cursor() - dbms_xplan in 10g | Oracle Scratchpad If you do this I think you'll find that the pstart/pstop columns contain entries like :BF0000, and you may even find operations link PX JOIN FILTER CREATE / PX JOIN FILTER USE
A couple of generic notes:
if a query does sufficient work to merit parallel execution, then it's usually better to supply the best possible information to the optimizer, which means using literals rather than bind variables - you could try executing the query with the hint /*+ cursor_sharing_exact */ to stop Oracle from turning your literals into binds; it might be the presence of bind variables that's making the optimizer choose a path that has to include bloom filter pruning in your case.
Where you have the to_date() call you've used a four-digit year - which is a very good thing and helps the optimizer - but it's also a good idea to include an explicit format string as well: with a four-digit year this probably won't make any difference, but it avoids any risk of ambiguity for the optimizer.
I made a comment about the P->S stage and bottlenecks - I spent a couple more minutes looking at the plan, and I see the optimizer has used concatentation: in effect it has run three query blocks one after the other and fed the results to the query co-ordinator - in this case the P->S would make no difference to the end-user response time there's always a final P->S to the coordinator, you just happen to have three of them.

Can't start database 8.1.7.1 on Mandrake 8.0
Hi all,
I had some trouble getting the installer to work, but applied
the patches listed on the Mandrake site (glibc 2.2). The
installer worked fine until it tried to create the starter
database. It got to 80% and hung.
Trying to start the database manually now produces the following:

----------------------------------------Oracle handles dead lock by its own. but to resolve the issue u can try following things.
1. take explain for UPDATE MGMT_OMS_PARAMETERS SET VALUE=TO_CHAR(SYSDATE, 'DD-Mon-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') WHERE HOST_URL=:B1 AND NAME='TIMESTAMP';
2. analyze above explain plan and try to tune it.
i think, its because of missing indexes. -
Following is getting created in D:\Oracle\Ora81\DATABASE folder once or twice a month. I do not see any error entries in db1alrt.log. Please help to find out the problem.
Thanks,
Anil

JConsole not picking up local Java processes
Hi,
Using JDK 1.5.0_06 JConsole is not picking up my local Java processes. I have set the -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote as an arg to the JVM startup. My Windows username does not have an underscore in it and my default temporary directory is on NTFS. When I run the jps command I see my java processes but I get process information unavailable for each one except the jps command.
Anybody have any ideas as to what else I should look at.Found the answer I was looking for - What a pain - http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=730397&messageID=4308804

The host is not authorized to connect to this Backup Server
Hi experts,
I'm trying to connect to a remote backup server S2_BS running on VM2 from a data server S1 running on VM1. When I issued following command in isql
1> SYB_BACKUP...sp_who
2> go
Msg 7221, Level 14, State 2:
Server 'S1', Line 1:
Login to site 'SYB_BACKUP' failed.
It failed to connect to its SYB_BACKUP (i.e. S2_BS is configured for SYB_BACKUP in this case).
And I got following error in the error log of S2_BS:
Jun 23 14:48:53 2014: Backup Server: 2.24.2.1: The host '10.43.13.204' is not authorized to connect to this Backup Server.
Jun 23 14:48:53 2014: Backup Server: 2.6.2.10: Login information unavailable.
I can ping VM2 from VM1 without any issue:
$ ping 10.43.13.204
PING 10.43.13.204 (10.43.13.204) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 10.43.13.204: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.035 ms
And have entry for S2_BS in /opt/sybase/interfaces on VM1:
S2_BS
master tcp ether 10.43.11.19 5002
query tcp ether 10.43.11.19 5002
And S2_BS is running correctly on VM2.
I'm running ASE 15.7 SP110 on both VM1 and VM2.
Could someone please let me know how to fix this? The message is due to a new security feature. See Remote Dump Host Control
for details on how to register your host with the remote backupserver.

z*OBSOLETE: Microsoft Windows XP
z*OBSOLETE: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-bit)
z*OBSOLETE: Microsoft Windows Vista (32-bit)
Symptoms
No new connections are allowed to the database.
Database appears to be in a hang state with following errors in the alert log:
ORA-27300: OS system dependent operation:spcdr:9261:4200 failed with status: 997
ORA-27301: OS failure message: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.
ORA-27302: failure occurred at: skgpspawn
Changes
The '/3GB' switch was added to the 'boot.ini' file at the OS level, but the errors are eventually encountered when the database is under heavy load.
Cause
OS resource issue.
The maximum amount of addressable memory by a process ('oracle.exe' for example) running in a
32-Bit Windows environment has been reached.
In a 32-Bit Windows environment, the total addressable memory by a single process is a 4GB. On
Windows, the OS reserves half of this memory by default for kernel memory, leaving 2GB of
addressable memory for a user process. By placing the '/3GB' switch in the 'boot.ini' file, this
changes the ratio of kernel memory and user memory. When the '/3GB' switch is in place, processes (such as 'oracle.exe’) can address 3GB of virtual memory out of the total 4GB of addressable memory. However, once the 3GB of virtual memory is depleted, the process will fail.
Solution
To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:
Tune the application running on the 32-bit environment so that it will not consume greater than
2.7GB of virtual memory when the '/3GB' switch is set in the 'boot.ini' file.
In the case of Oracle encountering the OS resource issue, the options are the following:
1) Reduce the amount of SGA needed to be allocated for the database.
2) Limit the number of dedicated connections to the database and the amount of memory each user
process will consume.
3) Change from dedicated connections to multi-threaded server (MTS) connections, as MTS only
uses a fraction of the amount of memory allocated to each user process when initial connection to
the database is established.
See following note for an in depth discussion regarding memory usage in a 32-bit Windows environment:

Problem Printing Wirelessly from MacBook to Epson Stylus NX530
I have been using an Epson Stylus NX530 wireless printer for 8 months or so without issue. However, over the last couple of weeks, I can't print as usual. I can print things from my iPhone, but nothing from my MacBook. When I go to the printer queue for the print job, it says there is a connection error. I used to be able to check the ink levels, but now it says that "information unavailable".
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer in the system preferences, including "printer reset" (control + click printer list) multiple times to no avail. I have tried checking network connections on the printer and everything seems to work (hence, the abilitiy to print from my iPhone). I have gone to Safari and tried to connect via bonjour (it "sees" the printer, but is unable to connect).
I've even tried to use the network utility program (using a Time Capsule as my router) to ping the printer, but was unsuccessful. I have a felling that there is some type of network issue. I am not a network person, so I'm a little apprehensive of messing around with any settings.
Please help! My wife is a teacher and really needs to get our printer running again.
Thanks in advance.Well, after the Apple Store genius said the time capsule works fine in the store (of course), I got an Airport Express "just in case". After have same issues with the TC when I got home, I installed the AE as the main wifi router which has reestablished the lost internet and wireless printing to ALL devices/computers (yeah!).
I'm now trying to hookup the Time Capsule to the AE to be able to use our Time Machine backups again.
I have configured the connection as follows: wall > modem > IN: WAN connection on Airport Extreme > OUT: LAN connection on Airport Extreme > IN: "To Internet" conncetion on Ooma (VOIP phone box) > OUT: "Home Network" on Ooma > IN: WAN connection on Time Capsule.
All devices have solid green "all is good" lights on. Wi-fi internet is working on all 3 MacBooks, 2 iPhones and 1 iPad. All 6 can print wirelessly again.
Any tips for configuring the TC to access the TM backups I have already?
Thanks again. -
Dear All,
We have installed & configured Hyperion System 9.3.1 on IBM AIX 5.3 ML-6, 6 dual core CPU & 24GB RAM. Repository database is Oracle 10gR2.
We have scheduled approx 300 Interactive Reporting Jobs in Workspace which has been associated with external trigger events. Once these jobs get executed their output has been imported in the various folders on Workspace.
We are getting following errors in <HYPERION_HOME>/log/BIPLUS/ server_messages_IRJobService.log file when these jobs get executed:
<message><![CDATA[Out of Memory. Advice: Close other applications or windows and try again.]]></message>
And
In <HYPERION_HOME>/BIPLUS/logs/ 0_bijobs_stderr.txt getting bellow error:

After this Hyperion Services are getting hang. In Workspace - View Job Status – showing that Jobs are executing.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Manmohan SharmaThe reason they run quicker the subsequent times, is because the data has already been cached in the system.
You could try the usual tricks to speed the report up:
- move items into POV
- have children and parent in the same row
- arrange dimensions in inverse outline order
- remove excessive formatting
- push report calculations back to the data source
We have found that using lots of dynamically calculated members also slows down reports, so try and limit the number of these.
Hope this helps. If not maybe give us an idea of how the report is created to see if other changes could be made. -

Weblogic Server: HTTP Referer is empty
When you connect to the webserver - the Referer in the request header is always blank and doesn't provide the link/URL that sent you there. Only after logging onto a Peoplesoft app (after the default sign-ing page) using java servlets - does the Referer start to have a value in it. Does Weblogic have any settings that is keeping this information unavailable by default until something is seen in the code? Any idea's would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

J2EE Engine is not comming up.
Dear All,
I was trying to run BSP applications on BW to accomplish this I change WORKGROUP to domain to create FQDN.(NW04 is running on Windows 2003 server). My system is dual stack system.
After restart I can login to the ABAP system but & JAVA Engine is down. I can see the message in MMC "J2ee information unavailable". I go through the trace files below are the some part of traces.

Can't initialize JControl Administration
-> Unknown error code (rc = 2)
From above I am getting the error is because of Shared memory. My system is of 4 GB & 40 GB of Virtual memory. This problem occurs after changing from WORKGROUP to DOMAIN. I have given all the rights of local administrator to <SID>adm & SAPService<SID> user.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
