InfoSet in DEV system returns data, in other systems not

Hello
I created the InfoSet containing two ODSes and three Characteristics. The InfoSet returns data in Development System correctly. I transported the solution (ODSes, Characteristics and InfoSet) to other systems (Test and QA BW Systems). Data has been loaded to ODSes and activated as well as to Characteristics, but the Info Set returns no data there.
Kindly please, let me know your hints on this.

Hi:
I defined a RFC function and execute against a different system, the data returned is from the local system. The rfc_destination in SM59 works fine. The function works fine in the target system. No errors appear, just the data is not from the remote system.
Any input will be appreciated.

Hi,
For now, it seems u haven't specified the destination properly. the call function statement must be suffixed with the 'destination' addition to make sure that the function call is an RFC and the particular function be executed at the desired destination.

I am facing an issue while loading fresh data into SQL server database.
we are able to load data into staging area, but while processing stored procedures system face bellow error message :

we use windows 2008 R2 with SQL server managment studio 2008.

Based on my research, this issue can be occurred in the following scenarios:
You are running a DBCC command on a large database. For example, you are running the DBCC CHECKDB statement on the database. At the same time, you run many DML statements on the database.
You create a database snapshot for a large database. At the same time, you are running many DML statements on the database.
In these scenarios, the SQL Server service stops responding. The DBCC CHECK statement is never completed, and you receive the error message repeatedly.
This issue occurs because the sparse file for a database snapshot file has exceeded the file size limitation in NTFS file system. When the operating system error 1450 occurs, SQL Server enters an infinite retry loop.
To fix this issue, please download and install Cumulative update package 1 for SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1. Besides, because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous
SQL Server 2008 fix release. We recommend that you consider applying the most recent fix release that contains this hotfix.

Posting of Trip Document from HR(in one system) to FI(in other system).

Hello Experts,
I have a question how to Post Trip Document from HR(in one system) to FI(in other system)? This is to be done via ALE/IDOC , i.e when creating posting run in HR, an IDOC should be triggered which will post trip document in FI in other system...
How is it possible?? is their another alternative?? I am a SAP ABAP guy is it my whole responsibility to handle this required,

Hi Yogesh,
I'm not sure about tr of data from FICA to FI-GL corporate. But in one of my earlier project we have tr data from FICA to FI-GL and then from FI-GL to Corp GL using customized iDoc structure ACC_DOCUMENT01.
You can look into WE30 for standard iDoc structures that would suit your requirement.

Import Chart of Account Data from other system

Hi FICO Gurus,
I am a new student in FICO, here i have a question as following, ask for help,
In my new rollout system, i need a chart of account. these data is existing in the other system, i want to import it from there, other then input one by one manually. can anyone tell me how can i do that?

Use T Code FS15 in the old client/company code and give a file ex 1234.
Note the file and path generated from the message.
Advise your basis team to copy the file in the same path of the required client.
After copying use t code fs16 and generate the GL accounts through Batch input session.
All the GL accounts will be copied in your new server.

Save Data from other system

We have one dot net system and one java system doing our core business.
I want to save data(which is updated daily) from these systems and save into SAP. Not flat files. I want live data sync.
How is this possible.

I don't understand your question. If you want real-time integration then you would more than likely be using webservice communication between these systems.
Do you have something specific that you want to understand?

By using HTTPService class (see
http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/201/langref/mx/rpc/http/mxml/HTTPService.html)
you can execute a db query script which will send the data to flex.
The data can be any of object|array|xml|e4x|flashvars|text formats.
You can them handle it however you want to populate whatever
flex objet.

EH&S: To import specification, phrase and releated data from other system

In our project there are two separate R/3 systems. On one product safety module of EH&S (version 4.6C) is present and on other SAP R/3 (version4.7) is present). Now we want to consolidate the data on 4.7 R/3 instance.
For this activity, one idea is to replicate all the customizing form the EH&S system to R/3 system and transfer the master data like specification master, phrases and reports to R/3.
Now, as the volume of specifications, phrases and all is huge wanted to know if some one has any idea on how it can be transferred.
Can it be done like sending the data form EH&S system using IDOCS (for example message type SUBMAS for specifications) and then posting this specification data in R/3 using inbound IDOC.
Please validate / correct the approach which I am thinking of. If approach is good, want to know how to send the data from the EH&S system.
Request your guidance on this.

We also have a customer wich get's every day a few .csv files by email. iBOLT does get the .csv from the mailbox, does some preperation and imports the data into SBO. No user interaction required.

Accessing data from other SAP system

Hi experts
I need to access data from one SAP system from other. My requirement is , perform applications (programs) in some SAP system, but using/accessing data from other SAP system .
For example, when we press F4 we get the match code (search help) for the field ; that window is alredy created by SAP and it shows the data for that field . Of course the application (ike any other program/application) read the data from the SAP system is being executing ; well i need execute that match code but show (taking) the data from other SAP system; i not refer to other MANDT in same system but other SAP system.
The communication between SAP1 system and SAP2 system is already created from BASIS.
My doubt is how can i execute that standard application (search help) but 'invoke' to standard application this take data from other system ?
I guess i can create Z search help wich call a Z Function (RFC) to get the data required from the other system ;
or maybe enhance the standar search help to call that Z RFC ; but standard application search help is already created and this access the data in several ways or places of code , and this has severals sub-windows and search features ; and i just need execute exactly same search help but accesing data from the other SAP system ; so my doubt is, is there some way to indicate to SAP the applications always (wherever) these applications acces the data do it but from other SAP system,
like if we 'redirect' the Data Base to other SAP system.
SAP1 applications are being executing -
> but all data (records) are taking from SAP2
Maybe the first suggestion is simply why do not we execute applications in SAP2 instead SAP1 , that's because the version package in SAP2 system (where we have the data) does not support some (non SAP) applications we need to use.
Excuse the long thread. Does somebody can help, any idea ?

Below are my thoughts, these are only conceptual and haven't had an opportunity to try these possibilities, also not sure if this is the right thing.
1) Create an entry in DBCON using TCode: DBCO for the Database of system SAP2. Now in the application of SAP1 use the "SET CONNECTION" construct as the very first statement, so that consecutive SQL statements will point at the DB of SAP2.
2) I have read somewhere that the Work Processes are connected to the Default database and i am not sure if you can change this setting, but if you can and provided you have have multiple application servers in your SAP1 landscape, then pick one of the application servers and change the settings on the WP to point at the DB of SAP2, you have the end users login to this particualr app server.
3) If there are multiple app servers in SAP1 landscape, then choose one of the app servers and change the default database setting to point at DB of SAP2.

Firefox 13 linux checks for updates and says it is up to date even though my other systems have auto-updated a week or two ago.

My firefox auto-updated to 10.0, 10.0.1, 11, and 12. but would not auto-update to 13.0 so I manually downloaded and updated. now that 14 is out it still won't auto-update. by which I mean when I go to HELP, ABOUT, it says it is fire fox 13.0, says it's checking for updates (very very briefly) then says "firefox is up to date". several other systems have auto-updated from 13 to 14, a couple of weeks ago but this one refuses. what's wrong here?

You will be slightly behind if you use Linux and their own version of Firefox instead of the Mozilla standard version. (Not of course standard in some Linux distros)
I use Ubuntu, and their Canonical Firefox Aurora just updated I think yesterday from fx15 to fx16. <br/>{''Mozilla/5.0 (X11;''' Ubuntu'''; Linux x86_64; rv:16.0) Gecko/16.0 Firefox/16.0'' ]

Not sure why fx13 is not updating for you.
Maybe something to do with your distro IF it is their version. IIRC some early Ubuntu LTS versions probably did not update Firefox. But you may have the Mozilla version as your system info aside shows <br/>''User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (X11; '''Linux '''i686; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0''
You could just download the latest version from

Just take care not to delete the existing firefox profile, preferably back it up first just in case.

My requirement is that I have such kind of query in which system first check the DETAIL_LINE_TYPE in table MASTER_DTL and if that specific DETAIL_LINE_TYPE is exist then return it and if not exist in table MASTER_DTL then go to PARENT_MST and check with PARENT_MST.DETAIL_LINE_TYPE and if match then return its PARENT_LINE_TYPE but cannot repeat PARENT_LINE_TYPE .
For example:
in case for 'EH' system return 'HEALTH' because 'EH' is not exist in MASTER_DTL.DETAIL_LINE_TYPE.
in case 'DRG' system return DRG because DRG is exist in MASTER_DTL table
in case 'HOSE' system does not return 'HEALTH' because HEALTH already exist so query does not return any thing
in case 'VIS' system does not return 'HEALTH' because HEALTH already exist so query does not return any thing
My desire output is something like this:

by using the provided list that is ('EH', 'DRG', 'HOSE', 'VIS' ) and if value not find in table MASTER_DTL.DETAIL_LINE_TYPE then system check that value in other table that is PARENT_MST.DETAIL_LINE_TYPE and if system find the value then instead of returning PARENT_MST.DETAIL_LINE_TYPE value, system return corresponding PARENT_LINE_TYPE value but if the PARENT_LINE_TYPE already return then system does not return anything.
For example:
I have to process 4 DETAIL_LINE_TYPE ('EH', 'DRG', 'HOSE', 'VIS' ) .
First system try to search 'EH' in table MASTER_DTL.DETAIL_LINE_TYPE and if not found then try to search it in table PARENT_MST.DETAIL_LINE_TYPE and if found then return its corresponding PARENT_MST.PARENT_LINE_TYPE.
Same steps involved in 'HOSE', 'VIS' but in case of 'DRG' the query found DRG in table MASTER_DTL.DETAIL_LINE_TYPE and no need to check the value in PARENT_MST table. I think if I use distinct then I will not get duplicate records so for the time being ignore checking of duplication.
