Infosource is not defined in source system.

Hello Expert,
We have problem on data upload. The Infosource is ODS object generated. Now through RSMO, message is:
Infosource 8* is not defined in source system.
How to re-define/active this type infosource? Is there any impacts?
BTW, days ago, it ran very well.

Hi,
I am also facing the similar error, whne uploading data from an ODS to further data targets.
I did follow th instructions advised, and I tried searching in the Service Market Place with the term,
" " Infosource is not defined in source system " " but couldnot find any correction notes.
Could you let me know the notes, you followed up to resolve this issue,

You can do this 2 ways. Right click on the ODS and say generate export datasource. The datasource will start with 8... and you can find that under Datamarts in RSA1-> Infosource. You can then create an infopackage and load from ODS through the update rules. You have the option of full load or delta load.
The other way you can go about this is again right click on the ODS and say update to data targets and just follow from there.
Did you follow the above steps? Where exactly is your problem?

Error Infosource is not defined in the source system

I am extracting data into ODS. It was running perfectly till now. But today i am getting this error.and for all packages i run. whether it is transaction data or master data.
I replicated the DataSource and activated all the objects and transfer structure.but still getting the same error.
I even created a new DataSource and infosource but still the error persists. please help me in this matter.

the data is extracted from BW system itself (Self System).
there are three tables linked to each other.I have created an infoset query and creted datasource on that infoset query.
the source system is the same bw system.
The detailed error report is -
InfoSource is not defined in the source system.
Message no. R3005
Diagnosis
The InfoSource specified in the data request, is not defined in the source system.
System response
The data transfer is terminated.
Procedure
In the Administrator Workbench of the Business Information Warehouse, update the metadata for this source system, and delete the InfoPackages belonging to InfoSources that no longer existing .

We are getting error 'InfoSource is not defined in the source system' while extracting data from Planning book to Cube in APO.
Data is coming up to Extrack checker ( RSA3 ) but not comming to PSA.

Hello Subba,
Have you replicated the datasource on the BW side? If you use the 3.x data flow then you also need to assign the datasource to and infosource.

Transport Error - DS does not exist in Source system

Dear All,
I am getting below Error while transporting the DSO from DEV to Quality.
DataSource 8ZM_ALT does not exist in source system DCQCLI041 of version A.
I have checked the dataosource is active and available in Development system. But Its giving error while importing.
As per the dataflow the data of this DSO is updated to Cube.
Has anyone solved this issue, because i have checked in SDN but there are no suitable answers.

Hello Henry,
If it is a One Client Scenario the BBPGETVD transaction will not work. You will require to use MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT for vendor replication for the same.

DataSource 2LIS_11_VAHDR does not exist in source system ECDCLNT100 of vers

Hi iam working on BI 7 and ECC 6 system. When i try to install the transfer rules for 2 lis_11_vahdr in BI7 business content, it gave a message that "<b>DataSource 2LIS_11_VAHDR does not exist in source system ECDCLNT100 of version A".</b> i have done an enhancement for this.I activated them from rsa5, activated both in LBWE as well as activated thier structures too after enhancing. I replicated and did all possible steps still iam unable to find.
Can anybody help me who has faced similar issue.

Datasource: Rsa5->RSA6
BI Side:
Rsa1->BI Content->Select Datasource->Installation->Replicating/Activating the DS
And same procedure for Infoprovider too.
Please analyze closely about the procedure, some where you are missing something.

dear masters,
i m new to BI i m creating one report in BI. for that i m taking the data from Excel file. for that i have created the source system
and data source i saved and activated the data source. in data source preview i checked the data its coming properly as i given in
excel sheet. after that i m creating the infopackage while creating it i m getting the error DataSource ***** does not exist in source system ***** of version A. i checked data source in RSA2 but in this it is showing The DataSource DS_PO85 does not exist in version A also i checked in RSA3 its showing The DataSource DS_PO85 does not exist in version A.
pls help me how to overcome this problem.... where i m missing which setttings...

Hi Vicky,
Go to RSA1--> Data Source --> Find the data source (for which the load is getting failed)
Now Change and activate the data source again.
Both the status and version should be activated green.
Also you can use the check button to check the DS.

Debliery Units : VENDOR IS NOT DEFINED FOR THIS SYSTEM

Dear Experts,
In prespective modeler , tried creating 'DELIVERY UNITS'. However get error message
"CANNOT CREATE DELIVERY UNIT AS CONTENT VENDOR IS NOT DEFINED FOR THIS SYSTEM" ?
How can we maintain CONTENT VENDOR ? we are using in-house HANA installation.

Data source 80BP_ID does not exists in source system

Hi All,
I have just started with standard content for SD module.
I activated my datasources 2lis_11_vaitm and 2lis_12_vcitm in my R3 system.
After replicating these data sources in my BI system i went to BI Content to activate my Info sources.
While installing info sources 2lis_11_vaitm and 2lis_12_vcitm i got errors namely
Data source 80BP_ID does not exists in source system
Datasource 80BP_REL not maintained.
Can somebody pls suggest a way out.

Hi Rohit,
When ever you try to install the SD related Standard business content then it will automatically pick up the CRM related data. the 0BP_ID, these are related to the CRM.
Please uncheck the unrelated objects while installing the STD content.
you can select the option in the grouping as ONLY NECESSARY OBJECTS.

Dear Support,
While activating business content for example 0CRM_COMP,
I get the following error:
Field TYPE not delivered by source system -> Deleted from rule
Field CAMP_TYPE not delivered by source system -> Deleted from rule
Field CAMP_TYPETX not delivered by source system -> Deleted from rule
Similar errors for different fields appear.
My system config is
BI 7.0, SP14
BI Cont 703 Sp6
Any fix or solution will be suitable awarded.

HI Raj,
The business Content is not always consistent.
If you get messages like that, the best way to deal with them is to manually adjust the objects.
In this case it means that you will have to check the datasource. It may be that in R/3 you will have to "unhide" or add some fields to the datasource. (I cannot be sure as I cannot go into details).

BDLS is not converting DataSource source systems

After running BDLS on our BW system to convert from logical system DV1220 to ED2CLNT220 we found that the source system assignments for our datasources are not getting converted. Specifically table RSISOSMAP which holds the mapping between the infosource and the OLTP system. We did check several of our ODS's and Info-cubes and the logical system were changed from DV1220 to ED2CLNT220.
Any help would be appreciated.

After running BDLS, you need to replicate the source system in BW, change the contents of the target host and fields for all R/3 and Data Mart(note 184754). Update the target BW system name in table T000 using SM30. Change logical system name in all BW tables using BDLS (note 325525)

Ctbw data source not found in source system

hi,
by reading and posting couple of threads i was finally able to create a data source in ctbw
0MATERIAL_ATTR 800 001 MARA ATTR 1CL_OMAT002
so i went to rsa3 and tried to test this data source 1CL_OMAT002
i am getting error in this way
<b>DataSource 1CL_OMAT002 is not defined in the source system</b>
can anyone suggest me how to proceed further
and also if the above problem is resolved what should i do in bw side
should i replicate 0MATERIAL_ATTR or 1CL_OMAT002 or both?

Hi,
Have you generated the data source after creation.
in CTBW you will have to click on "generate data source" after you have created and saved the data source.It will activate all the classes used in that data sources.
Once done go to RSO2 and give your data source name there and see if this data source appears there with it's field or not...if not then your data source is not getting generated properly.
Try this and once successful then go to RSA3 and try to extarct data.

Job is not running in Source system.

One issue I have because of this I am not able to load data into Data sources.
I am in BI 7.0 environment.
when I execute infopackage, total and techinical status are in yellow.
I found in R/3 Job is not running, based on this statement in SM37. from the fallowing.

These messages are sent by IDoc from the source system. Both the extractor itself as well as the service API can send messages. When errors occur, several messages are usually sent together.
From the source system, there are several types of messages that can be differentiated by the so-called Info-IDoc-Status. The IDoc with status 2 plays a particular role here; it describes the number of records that have been extracted in a source system and sent to BI. The number of the records received in BI is checked against this information.
