Infospoke Extraction Failing

HI all,
Good Day.
I am trying to execute an infospoke build on an ODS. WHen i execute it, it is failing and the message i get is
Editing or Reading of Data Packet 000001 Cancelled
System error: RSDRC / FORM AUTHORITY_CHECK RSDRC / FORM AUTHORITY_CHECK R
Extraction Cube : Error in Data Manager API
I did checked the authorization and i thnk it should be fine. but not sure...

We checked on the DB and the Oracle session that was doing the insert was open even after the extract failed with the above error.
Any idea what could be causing this??

I was able to fix this issue.
From the trace file identified the related objects and validated them.

"Extraction Failed: Cannot Open Output File" error message when installing new drivers

Hello, I'm trying to install new drivers for my HP Photosmart C4385 Printer. I downloaded the full feature drivers for Windows XP 32-bit, and when I start to install (extract), I get the error message:
Extraction Failed
Cannot Open Output File
And the process closes. It happens at about 85% extraction every time.
Any idea why? I called HP but since it is out of warranty they wanted money, which I think as absolutely ridiculous - won't even give me basic support?? Poor, poor customer service.

Hi,
If you haven't still got the Full Feature software installer, download it from the link below and save it to your Desktop. If you already have it, place it on your Desktop.

Make sure the Printer is disconnected from your PC.
Download and install 7-ZIP. Once installed, right click on the software installer for your printer, select 7-Zip and choose extract files, then click Ok.
Open the newly extracted folder and double click the setup application to start the installation ( the setup application will probably have the same icon as the original software installer you downloaded ). Connect the printer to your PC when the software asks.

Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Try to disable your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes it work.
You may need to delete the temp folder (%TEMP%) to remove the old files.

InfoSpoke Extraction Mode change from Delta to Full?

Hi,
I am having one InfoSpoke having Extraction Mode: Delta.
I am having one requirement from client that they need data from Same InfoSpoke with Extraction Mode: FULL from the period: 01.2007 to 04.2009.
Can i change InfoSpoke Extraction Mode from Delta to Full directly in the existing InfoSpoke? Will it impact any thing?

Hi Venkat,
It's better to create one more infospoke rather than changing the present Delta one.
As you see it may remove the Delta marker and further it may cause problem in delta extraction from infospoke.

Downloaded FF4, ran setup, told "extraction failed, file is corrupt" how fix?

I asked this question on 4/28 but no answer and can't find my question on this damned board! Well, we have 2 Antivirus that is separately installed on 2 units. On my notebook, it's symantec, on our desktop, it's mcafee, is it possible to have the same symptoms on different computers? :0

What might be the issue here?

Mdex installation - extraction failed

Hi All,
I am trying to install mdex 6.2.1 on linux machine.
so, I ran ./mdex_621_x86_64pc-linux.sh silent target /usr/local on the directory, /usr/local/endeca/downloads/x86_64pc-linux.
And get an error message saying "*Uncompressing MDEX 6.2.1 for x86_64pc-linux..............................
gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--format violated
Extraction failed.
Terminated*"
and then i can see only one directory, _/usr/local/endeca/MDEX/6.2.1/lib is extracted_.
So, i tried to transfer mdex.tar.gz file from one of our linux server to new server using sftp simply.
However, it happens again.
Does anyone have idea or tip on this matter?

This usually indicates that the download itself is corrupt, especially since the same thing is happening on multiple machines. Usually it can be solved by downloading the package again.
As a side note, MDEX 6.2.1 is part of the Guided Search package, not Information Discovery (just for future reference) so you might get more responses for this version by posting on the other forum.

Qosmio G20 - Error extraction failed THotkey

Error code 0X00031402, 0x00000002
I click OK, the window disappears
I read the topics for this pb
I ran the antivirus
I ran Spybot
I created a shortcut in start THotkey.ex: negative
I did find msconfig nothing works
I did 2 system restores to 2 different dates: nothing works
in addition to what this THotkey??

Hello
It is not easy to say what is wrong there. On old Qosmios there are preinstalled hotkey utilities for display devices and also Wireless hotkey. So I dont know which one is troublemaker.
Try to install both of them again but before you do this try to install Common modules.
If this will not help Im afraid there is some problem in registry entries.
BTW: check also if some of these tools are listed in software list. If yes, you can try to remove it from the system and after restart install all three tools.

Infospoke data extraction fail

Hello Experts,
I created an infopoke for my cube and extracting the data into a DBtable. I get this error:
'Unable to activate the table /BIC/OHZISPKA1'
Where ZISPKA1 is the infospoke created.
Any suggestions appreciated.

You can check for the following:
1.Check whether you selected the Infoobjects
2.If infoobjects are selected then check if you have placed the key fields at the begining of the table.
3.In case if you have checked the Technical key then you need not select the key fields at the begining of the table.
While activating it gives an error message along iwth long text ..click on the long text help button..and see the description of the error.

Extraction failing after source system and client copy

Hi all,
We refreshed our source QA system with a copy of production. And basically tried to "restore" the connection from our BW QA system. Some of the datasources can be extracted from BW, others fail with an error of "No transfer structure is available for InfoSource 0COSTCENTER_ATTR in the source system".
Trying to do the same thing with RSA3 in the source system, works fine.
The strange thing is it works for some objects but not others.
here's what we did:
1. System copy from R3 Prod to R3 QA
2. Client copy with R3 QA client 300 -> 200
3. Restore connectivity in BW QA to the R3 QA system (Using RSA1 -> Source System -> Restore)
4. Now some objects can be extracted in BW, others fail as I mentioned above.
I have regenerated the transfer structures in BW and R3.
All of these objects that don't work seem to work in RSA3 on the R3 system but not in RSA1 on BW.
All the SAP documentation is geared to copying the R3 source system and then restoring connectivity between BW and R3. I don't think any of it involves copying the client in the R3 source system - which might be causing our problems.
We are using an SAP delivered PDF and note 886102 mainly for direction.
SAP PDF is "How to... System Copy in SAP Business Intelligence System Landscapes".
Does anyone have any ideas?

can you isolate somehow the kind of DataSource which works and those who don't?
Master data / transactional or client dependent and not, delta or full....
To which R/3 client is your BW connected? when you succeed loading the data, is it coming from the right client?
RSA3: do you run it specifying your BW client in the target sys field? does it make a difference if yes or if not?
Are your RFC connections and partner profiles all right?
Check some IDOCs sent by BW received in R/3 and vice-versa (RSSEND, RSINFO, RSRQST..). Load a hierarchy (via IDOC)... verify that your IDOC have the correct partner settings....

R/3 extraction failed - recovery procedure?

R/3 extraction is running from past 2 years.
Suddenly it failed since 5 days and again today it is running fine.
But how i do get data loaded to cube for failed loads?
what is the exact process that should be normally followed?

Hi,
In case you are doing full loads, there is no problem since the last request went fine.
In case of delta loads, there is the option to repeat the last delta. Every time a delta request fails, you can do a Repeat delta, which will load again the last delta.
If you have already load another delta request and didn't repeat the failed delta, you may have missing records in BW system. In this case, a full repair extraction is need.
