Infospoke or openhub

Hi,
We need to create a Infospoke on a Master Data attributes and also include extract date& time in one field and userid in another field.
How can I achieve this using Infospoke including  2 separate fields???
Can this be achieved using openhub???
Please let me know.
Thanks in advance!

Hi...
As of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SPS 6, the new Open Hub Destinationobject replaces the InfoSpoke that was previously used for the open hub service.....

  • Save query in CSV?

    hi,
i want save query in CSV, i have seen option, i am able save in CSV,  i dont want any other information all  details when i save in CSV , , i dont want dellete manually information, when i save i need only data like infospoke or openhub?
    is it possible?
    regards
    ss

    Hello Suneel,
Your question is a bit unclear. It might help if you rephrase it.
In any case, you can use transaction RSCRM_BAPI to run a BeX query and then save the results to a file.
If you use an InfoSpoke (or open hub destination in 7.0), the contents of target CSV file will be overwritten each time you run the InfoSpoke (or the DTP in 7.0).
    Hope this helps.

  • What is the limitations of an Openhub

    Hi
When we use openhub what is the limitations.
Is there any limitations of an Openhib
    shankar

    Hi BI,
The Open Hub service enables you to distribute data from an SAP BW system into external data marts, analytical applications, and other applications. With this, you can ensure controlled distribution using several systems. The central object for the export of data is the InfoSpoke. Using this, you can define the object from which the data comes and into which target it is transferred.
No real technical limitation if you are looking for bulk transfers
You may have to manipulate a datamodel to suit the scenario as the OLAP processor is not used
SO if you have complex requirements you may have to create a query to APD into a DSO then open hib from there
And naturally if APD starts to have memory problems then you use the infoprovider read function module to do have an ABAP to read data then into a DSO and open hub out
I dont really use open hub off standard cubes as there is always a OLAP requirement in the extraction fo data
Naturally if you require just to dump raw data out then you could open hub of the cubes - but in that instance your global IT architects may ask why you are dumping data to a third party tool where they could come in on OLAP BAPIs etc at run time to access BW ie extra front ends
The functionality will work with extraction to a database table.
    In BW 3.5:
The assignment of Open Hub Destination and InfoSpoke is an one to one relationship. One InfoSpoke
should not be used in more then one process chain. For the extraction, the database table must
contain the technical key. This option must be set.
An InfoSpoke should be a used at most in one process chain.
    In NW2004s:
It is possible to assign one Open Hub Destionation to more then one DTP.
One DTP can be a process step of more then one process chain.
In the runtime only one request can be loaded into the Open Hub Destination. The next load can
started, if the status of this request is set to u2018Greenu2019.by the 3rd party application.

    Hi,
Infospoke ie., open hub service means you are sending data from BW to other systems. Transaction Code : RSBO.
Using info spoke we can put our BW Server as source system and any other database system is target system.

Transaction code RSBMO2 is for Openhub(Infospoke ) monitor.
    Analysis Process Designer
    Use
The Analysis Process Designer is a workbench with an intuitive graphical user interface for creating, executing, and monitoring analysis processes. The analysis process is primarily based on data that was consolidated in the Data Warehouse and that exists in InfoProviders.
The data can be merged from a number of sources, changed step-by-step using different transformation methods, and displayed in new views. The results of the analysis are then stored, for example in an InfoProvider or in a CRM system. It is then available for all decision and application processes. The Analysis Process Designer is used especially in closed-loop scenarios.
The transformation methods offer, for example, basic operations such as filter, join or formulas, as well as advanced methods for data mining. The data mining methods support you when you explore and identify meaningful relationships in your data.
    More information: Data Mining
Examples of analysis processes include calculating ABC classes and determining frequency distribution or scoring information.
You can use queries, database tables, and files as well as InfoProviders as data sources in the analysis process to perform ad hoc analyses. You can also store the results of the analysis directly in a file. Note the data quality of the sources you use, since they normally will not have been included in the ETL process of the Data Warehouse.
    Features
Analysis processes can be created on a graphical user interface using drag and drop. Data from different data sources in the BI system can be combined, transformed, and prepared for analysis in several individual steps. This allows it to be resaved in data targets in the BI system (DataStore objects for direct update or InfoObjects with attributes) or in a CRM system. Various
    ● Data sources
    ● Transformations
    ● Data targets
    are available.
Various additional functions support you in modeling and executing an analysis process, as well as in interpreting the analysis results. More information: Checking Data
The following figure shows the various steps in the Analysis Process Designer:
First select a data target that contains the required data. This data is then prepared and transformed. The transformed data is saved in a BI object or in another system. For analysis, you can display the data in a query in the Business Explorer.
More information: Modeling an Analysis Process
    Use in Process Chains
You can integrate an analysis process into a process chain using the process type ABAP Program. To do this, choose the ABAP report RSAN_PROCESS_EXECUTE.
    Versioning
Analysis processes are integrated into the versioning concept (active, inactive version, content version, and content delivery).
    Transport Connection
Analysis processes are connected to the BI transport system as TLOGO objects. More information: Transport System
    Hope this helps u..

    APD
    Infospoke and
    Infohub
    Thanks

    Hi,
Analysis Process Designer (APD) makes it possible to find and identify these hidden or complex relationships between data in a simple way. Various data transformations are provided for this purpose, such as statistical and mathematical calculations, and data cleansing or structuring processes
OPenhubservice enables you to distribute data into external systems.
Infospoke is a component of OPENHUB service

what are the major differences between openhub destination & Infospoke
    Thanks

There is no difference in both of them
both are used to transfer data to Non-application systems.
the thing is info spoke is the concept used in prior to BI 7.0 versions.

  • Openhub

    Hi,
I need to extract data from SAP BW to external systems. Datasources includes two ods's and two infoobjects. I knew we can do this by open hub extraction. can we create one output file from all the datasources combined (.csv or a db file). can some one please explain the way to do it. I know we can create infospokes for each datasource.
    Thanks.
    Ravi

    Hi,
To create Openhub use RSBO tcode and create, else, you create Multiprovider and then on the top od MP, you create Report and then Dump the result into application server..and then using RSCRM_BAPI you can schedule the report to dump the result.

    Hi Gurus,
I am getting an error while transporting the open hub. In the dev system it worked perfectly but when i transport it to quality, it is showing the following error.
"Unable to activate table /BIC/OHZxxxxxx ."
When i checked the table in quality it says that /BIC?OHZxxxxx-0UNIT ( Reference field ) does not exists. But 0UNIT is there in the DSO on which i developed the openhub and the infoobject 0unit is also active in quality system.
    Why this error is happening?
    Regards,

    Hi Raghavendra,
There are chances of missing some objects in transport request wile assigning objects to request...please check the objects list and open hub structure.
and also plsease check the 0Unit field status in Quality system.if it is in modified status means make it it active ststus.

  • InfoSpoke fails with message "Could not open file on application server"

    BW Experts,
I created an InfoSpoke that is configured to extract to a flat file. The name of the file is specified using a logical filename. During extraction, the infospoke reports the error message "Could not open file on application server" adnd  marks the extraction process as red(failed). I have tried to run the InfoSpoke in background mode and in dialog mode and the same error appears. After i run in dialog mode, i checked SU53 for authorization errors and did not find any. I also tried changing the Logical filename setup in transaction FILE to a more "friendly" directory in which i'm sure i have authorizations (e.g. my UNIX home directory) and im still getting errors.
Can you please share your thoughts on this? Any help will greatly appreciated. I also promise to award points.

    Hi Nagesh,
    Thanks for helping out.
If i configure the InfoSpoke to download to a file using "File Name" option and also check the "Application server" checkbox, the extract works correctly (extraction to the defualt SAP path and filename=infospoke name). If i configure the InfoSpoke to download to the local workstation, the InfoSpoke also works correctly. It's only when i configure it to download to the application server and use the "Logical filename" option, that i encounter a failed extract.
Here are the messages is the Open Hub Monitor:
    (red icon) Request No.147515

Could not open file on application server RSBO 214
Request 147515 was terminated before extraction RSBO 326

If i clink on the error message, no messages nor clues are displayed. Note, this is a new InfoSpoke that is currently in the dev system.

  • InfoSpoke Flat File Extract to Logical Filename

I'm trying to extract data from an ODS to a flat file. So far, I've found that the InfoSpoke must write to the application server for large data volume. Also, in order for the InfoSpoke to transport properly, I must use logical filenames. I've attempted to implement the custom class and append structure as defined in the SAP document "How To... Extract Data with OPEN HUB to a Customer Defined Logical Filename". I'm getting an error when attempting to import the included transports (custom class code). It appears to be a syntax error. Has anyone encountered this, and, if so, how did you fix it?

    Hello.
I'm getting a syntax error also.  I did not import the transport, but applied the notes thru the appendix.  When I modified the method "GET_OBJECT_REF_INT" in class CL_RSB_DEST as below, I get a syntax error on the "create object" statement.
        when rsbo_c_desttype_int-file_applsrv.
    *{   REPLACE        &$&$&$&$                                          1
    *\      data: l_r_file_applsrv type ref to cl_rsb_file_applsrv.
data: l_r_file_applsrv type ref to zcl_rsb_file_logical.
    *}   REPLACE
          create object l_r_file_applsrv
            exporting i_dest    = n_dest
                      i_objvers = i_objvers
    Class CL_RSB_DEST,Method GET_OBJECT_REF_INT
The obligatory parameter "I_S_VDEST" had no value assigned to it.

  • Infospoke - How to single Logical Filename for all infospokes

    Hello all,
I want to only have one logical path and logical filename for all of my infospokes.
For example if I have infospokes ZAAA, ZBBB, ZCCC, I want to have only one common setting in the destination properties of TC:RSBO but three different distinguishable files on my OS.
I think with the standard settings, I have to make one logical file for every infospoke I have.
I am aware that I can put <DATE> or <TIME> etc in the logical file settings but that will not distinguish which infospoke the file came from.
I want my file to look more like <INFOSPOKE>_<DATE><TIME>.csv
I've already seen the document "How to Extract Data with OPEN HUB to a Logical Filename"  and this is not it because I have BW3.5 and 3.5 already does what this article says.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just in case, I am on BW3.5 SP17 on Windows/SQL.

    Jasprit,
    Thanks for your input.
The functionality of the FM you said is similar to the InfoSpoke functionality...
    Is it the same thing?
I wonder if I use this it means it is not part of the InfoSpoke license...
I will have our programer look at it and see what he thinks but in the mean time any other information is greatly appreciated.  Especially if I can stick with using the standard InfoSpoke functionality...
Isn't this kind of functionality something that everyone wants?
I wonder why SAP didn't make it like this?
