Infospokes -Data transfer to third party

Hello Folks,
Im now working on SAP BW 3.5 system. I need to transfer data from SAP BW DSO/ODS object to an Oracle Database. I am thinking of using Infospokes to achieve this requirement.
My findings: In the Destination tab of the Infospoke maintanence screen (RSBO), i see that there is an option to send data through "RFC destination". But, my understanding is that RFC destination could possibly be to an another SAP system and not an Oracle database which is through the DB connect.
My questions:
1) Can i transfer data from ODS to Oracle database through Infospokes?? If yes, how?
2)If not, is there an other way to transfer data to Oracle database directly?
Request the experts out there to help me with this.
Thank You
Prashant

I think Infospoke is the better option. You can download the data in file or in a table.
But I dont know how to upload the file in Oracle, dont have any experience

i have some data of PLC ,i have to post it in SAP plz explain me how to do this what are the various steps.....how will i integrate plc with the sap...

    Hi,
These are some of the ways you can transfer data to SAP
    1. File transfer. ( Flat file or XML or CSV, or XLS)
    2. RFC
    3. BAPI
    4. IDoc

  • Realtime data integration with Third party application

A customer wants to send data to a third party application when a user modifies some information on a business object (ie PO Amount, Employee Name etc). How can you trap this change as close to realtime as possible within SAP?

In addition to Senthil's reply, it may also be possible to hook into a workflow event, provided such an event is raised.  Whilst I prefer the change pointer approach outlined by Senthil, it does enforce a delay between the "application event" itself and change pointer processing.
To see if a workflow event is raised, in a non-production system, use transaction SWU8 to activate the workflow trace.  Next perform the update that you wish to trap.  Finally, use transaction SWU9 to display the workflow log.  Hopefully you'll see a workflow event raised for your update (for example a CHANGED event).
This will allow you to perform either synchronous or asynchronous processing immediately (the norm is for workflow processing to be triggered immediately but asychronously).
It would be great if all SAP objects supported a common event model, with BADI's for standardised events for create, change, etc.  Maybe one day, but not today...
    Cheers,
    Scott

  • Access data from a third party warehousing tools in BEx WAD

    Hi,
I would like to know whether it's possible to access data from a third party warehousing tools ( For eg: Cognos) in BEx Web Application designer. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
BEx Web Application designer is only integrated to BIW server. So We can not access data of other tools unless the data is stored in the BIW server as the data in any data target.

  • Data upload from third party system to GRT table.

    Hello,
Can you please let  me know how we can upload payroll data from a legacy system (to be more clear, how to upload data that we receive from a third party system) into GRT table.
Note:The file should be tab delimited text file.
As of now, i figured out 2 FMs which I thought can be used.....BAPI_EXTPAYROLL_INSERT_OUT and BAPI_EXTPAYROLL_INSERT_LEGACY.
Please let me know the steps to upload the same (start to end).  A code snippet will be of much help to me.
    Regards,
    RK

Are you looking for loading your legacy payroll data into SAP ?
SAP have a standard tables (T588B & T588C) that can be used along with standard schema (XLK0) for updating payroll results.
They also have a utility program to upload data into T588B & C.
Search for  Legacy Data Transfer in IMG and yo will find the relevant steps.

    Hello,
I am planning to create a data acquistion system using Labview+Third Party Data Acquistion Card(from Multi-Instruments Inc). I got the attached documentation from hardware producer which expain how to create VC++ application using provied DLLs.
It should also possible to create application on Labview by using the provided DLLs. But I failed to make the first step dut to limited programming experience.
Can anyone provide any examples on this field?
Or can anyone help to create a simple application(which could show the acqured signal) using attached DLL+Computer Sound Card+Labview? So that I could follow your example as reference. The attached DLL support Computer Sound Card.

  • Handling load of data in PI - third party systems to SAP R3(Idocs)

    Hi,
Request your help in addressing the below issue:
PI (PI 7.0) is receiving a huge load of messages from third party systems at one point of time and it is creating Idocs and dispatching the Idocs to SAP R3 system.
Since the load that is being received by R3 is more than the work processed available in R3 system, the Idoc processing is being set as a background job which inturn is creating spool requests in R3 system and this is leading to spool overflow issue.
Is there any possiblity to control the dispatch of Idocs from PI system, say, the Idocs should be queued up in tRFC of PI until the work process in R3 system would be available.
Please suggest any other possible resolutions to resolve this issue.
    Thank you.

  • Transfer of data from a third party application to SAP R/3 using PI

    Hi experts,
I have a scenario where am supposed to transfer data from an application already developed to SAP R/3
Just wanted to confirm if the following approach is right
    SOAP>PI>SAP R/3
we would have an RFC defined on SAP. this would be exposed as web service on PI which means i define the outbound interface to be exposed to as web service. Source system calls up the webservice.
    Issues
    1. Authentication mechanism to be used
    2. type of adapter to be used between source system and PI. Assume either of SOAP or WS adapters would work
    Valuable inputs are appreciated
    Regards,
    Kalyan

    1. Authentication mechanism to be used
Check this help section to know about the authentication mechanism:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/fc/5ad93f130f9215e10000000a155106/content.htm
Check the Inbound Security Checks and the Security Parameters section.
    2. type of adapter to be used between source system and PI. Assume either of SOAP or WS adapters would work
SOAP adapter should suffice...WS may not be needed.

  • Irec : Data migration from Third party tool to Oracle irec

Currently we are using 3rd party tool for the recruitment procee. Now ee are moving to Oracle Irec.
Already we have huge data in current system for the vacancy (around 500 vacanies) and corresponding applicant applied for the vacancy. How can we migrate the data from current Sql server to Oracle Irec. Any webadi available??
    Thanks,
    Siva

As my understanding there no seeded webadi is avaiable for same reference.
you can designed conversion program or custom webadi for this purpose. PER_VACANCY_API API will help for Migrating the Data in Oracle.

  • Data transfer ship-to party from ERP to CRM with role ship-to

We currently have an ERP system and we want to transfer the various customers to CRM but with different roles e.g. we want the ship-to accounts (account group 0002 in ERP) to be created with a role of ship-to in CRM. When we transfer the data at the moment, all accounts are being created in CRM with the role of sold-to.
Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how?

    Hi Johan,
Thank you for your helpful response. Once we have done the initial transfer of data from ERP to CRM, we want the CRM system to be the master system for creating customer records. However, we will create some customers with a role of ship-to in CRM and we want to these to be transferred to CRM with an account group for ship-to customers. Do you know if this is possible?
    Regards

  • Using Oracle BI Server as a Data Source for Third Party Tools

I have been researching how to use the Oracle BI Server as a data source for two days now. I have not yet found a solution to my problem.
We have a remote user who is pulling data from one of our Oracle databases using automated tools. This data base is essentially being replaced by Oracle Analytics. However, we do not want this user to get at the physical tables of Analytics, rather, we want the user to be able to connect to the Oracle BI Server itself, and issue Logical SQL to pull data.
Here are the requirements which I need to be fulfilled:
    1) The ability for a remote user to connect to the BI Server as a data source.
    2) The remote user must be able to do this on a Unix box.
    3) The remote user must be able to automate the process of issuing SQL to the BI Server. (Command line interface is preferable)
    4) The solution needs to be easily implementable, that is, this solution will be implemented many times over.
I found many articles explaining how to set up a Windows box to connect to the BI Server in this way. However, these articles outline how to use tools like Excel and Microsoft Query to pull data from the BI Server. Our current user is using SQLplus.
If possible, I would like the user to continue using SQLplus as the tool for connecting to and retriving information from our BI Server. I have tested using SQLplus many different ways to no avail. I have also tried using other tools, such as Oracle SQL Developer.
Is there a program out there that will fulfill the needs I have outlined above? Or, does someone know of a way to use SQLplus to connect to the Oracle BI Server as a data source? Or, is there a series of solutions which will fulfill the needs outlined above?

I agree it would be inefficient but only because you are using OBIEE for something it was not designed to do. You are basically asking for a "DB feed" and that should designed using PL/SQL, DB Links, Web Services or whatever is your entreprise standard to send data from one system to another. Using OBIEE for this seems a bad architecture decision to me.You are correct, the BI Server is not really intended to be queried like another Oracle Database remotely. However, the reason we are trying to do it this way is twofold:
    1) We want to enforce data level security.
    2) The BI Server has been fine tuned for high performance.
Forcing the end users to go through the BI Server rather than directly to the physical tables or other sorts of systems built on top solves both of these issues.
I think you are wrong. I don't see why SQLPlus should be able to query the BI Server. The BI Server can sit on top of many different DBs not just Oracle, even flat files etc. So you can't really expect the BI Server to able to translate all that into Oracle SQL output so you can query it using SQLPlus. The BI Server is not an Oracle RDBMS.You're right again. The BI Server isn't an Oracle RDBMS, and I have been wanting to treat it like one. From the data I have gathered SQLPlus can't query the BI Server.
However, my research has led me to realize that the BI Server supports the JDBC API. Therefore, (I should have went down this route in the first place) one can use the JDBC driver provided by Oracle (bijdbc14.jar) to interface with the BI Server. There are many programs and applications out there that support the JDBC API and let us connect to BI Server the way we want to. Furthermore, these programs are mostly platform independent, as they are mostly written in Java.
Lastly, from what I understand the NQCMD program can be installed on any platform as well (provided by Oracle). This is another option to connect to the BI Server as well.
Thanks for your help and your comments as I went through this process of discovery.
