Hi Experts,
I'd like to know wich is the concrete "functionality multi-GDS" of SAP TM.
The expression "multi-GDS" refers to the capability of using differents GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo..), one by time (and selecting every time wich to use), or it is always possible to use more than one GDS simultaneously, searching for the best fare in different GDS at the same time (I mean, Is SAP capable to provide me the best best fare between the best fares suggested in a first step by every GDS used (used simultaneously by SAP for the searching required?).
Otherwise, if SAP use more than one GDS for one search, how provide the results, all mixed and togehter?

Online Hotel Booking System

Hi All,
I used to hang out here quite often a while back (normally in the Java Programming section) and would pay quite a lot of attention to threads, maps and data structures.
I want to put together a simple online hotel booking system as my own pet project to get a bit of expereince in JSP and web technologies -
I ve picked up an Oreily book on this toic but does anyone know where I can find an example online hotel booking system which I can use to learn from? I m pretty sure these types of apps have been written in the past but there was not much on Sourceforge

The server doesn't know what a booking is - how could it do anything for you? Your problem is also not about code synchronization - it is perfectly valid for two people to process a booking at the same time, it is only not valid to process the exact same booking at the same time.
Me - I'd pretend that there is no such thing as two people booking the same slot at the same time - until the very last moment where you actually commit the booking to a particular person. One of them is going to be first and that's the winner, in the other's case before saving you'd check the database if it is already taken and then inform the user that he/she's out of luck. The stupid and easy solution that is also quite safe.

Downloaded 4.0, now some websites (online flight checkin in particular) won't work cos the drop-down windows have no info in them (ok on other hotel booking sites and works in explorer) !

Went to check-in on Virgin Blue (Australia) website and couldn't because, to access my booking/check-in, I had to select my departure city from their list, but there was no info in the boxes - had to go to explorer to check-in. Tried other sites with similar "click lists" like hotel booking sites and they were fine. have tried deleting history and clearing cookies and cache, but still no luck. Can I get 3.6 back - most of my add-ons have disappeared too!

Does the ext directory have the php_oci8.dll? In the original steps the PHP dir is renamed. In the given php.in the extension_dir looks like it has been updated correctly. Since PHP distributes php_oci8.dll by default I reckon there would be a very good chance that the problem was somewhere else. Since this is an old thread I don't think we'll get much value from speculation.

Online mac books and instore mac books??

hi i have family in usa who are coming over next week and they have offerd to bring me over a mac book as its cheaper.i was lookin the 2.16ghh, 120gb hard drive and was goin to upgrade the memory to 2gb. they say they can get this instore. is that possible or do you need to order it online to customize it? and also will there be any problems with bringing the note book into the uk?

They can buy the MacBook in store with the 2GB. Ordering it online would require it being shipped to a US address. Alternatively they could buy the base model and you could easily upgrade the RAM yourself to 2GB. In terms of bringing it into the UK, there shouldn't be an issue if they stick it in luggage or even carry on. If they wish to avoid possible customs tax just tell them (customs) the truth; it's a gift. Personally I'd go through the nothing to declare line, unless they have other items that need to be declared.
Further, Apple Warranty is worldwide, so if you have issues here in the UK the Apple stores or authorised service providers can work on the machine without issue.

Can I put my iphoto book in a gallery online for friends and family to see? It's large: 100 pages, zillions of photos, and a running narrative. I bought a hard copy for us, but it is too expensive to buy it for people from Virginia to California to the Netherlands. I hate to have to start all over again and create a narrative for all those photos. Any suggestions?

In a way you can. This iWeb page has an iPhoto book that was converted to a JPEG file for each page and then used in a iWeb photo/slideshow page - iPhoto Book as an iWeb Slideshow.
The same principle applies but instead of exporting out of iPhoto to iWeb you would create a MobileGallery out of the jpeg images.

Resolution & "save as" ? for online photo book

I am making an online photo book through Snapfish. When I am done editing my images using Elements, I go to resize and make it about a 4X6 size with a dpi of 200 or so and "save as" a Jpeg. When I go to Snapfish to put my album together, I sometimes get an error messages as I try to place an image into one of the slots in the photobook. It cautions that the image has low resolution and will not produce a good image when printed. Should I avoid making the image smaller, or should I leave it as is? Should I be saving to Jpeg format? What process do you use when resizing and saving for this situation or any print you're having made? Thanks.

Snapfish recommends a minimum of 1639 X 1233 pixels. I think I've made the mistake of downsizing my images to 4X6 instead of leaving them the original size. I know if I email I have to make the image smaller and also lower the ppi to 72. When you are editing an image to print to a standard 4X6, do you change the size of the image or leave it as is with a high resolution of 250 or more? Can I go back once an image has been reduced and try to make it larger? Or, will the image never return to the quality it once was?

Demo booking single flight error

The first scenario check flight seat availability is OK.
but when I execute the booking sigle flight scenario, I get the order status :Flight booking order sent. Awaiting confirmation. Nothing happened when I refresh this page.
I checked the SXI_MONI, I found the error message 'No receiver could be determined'.

check the following points:
1) Go to System Landscape Directory: Open the technical system that
   represents the sender. Navigate to Installed Software Components
   and check whether the list includes SAP Basis 6.40. If not,the
   system is not correctly defined. You should include product SAP
   Exchange Infrastructure into list of installed products.
2) Navigate from technical system to the business system that represents
   the sender. Check whether SAP Exchange Infrastructure is explicitly
   chosen and check if SAP Basis 6.40 belongs to the list of installed
   software component. If so, please check all other business systems
   for the same problem. (Please refer to demo configuration guide,
   chapter 4.3.2 Business system description, step 10. There is
    specified that all products need to be selected.)
3) In Integration Directory: Choose Environment   > Clear SLD Cache
    Data to make the changes of SLD data visible in Integration
    Directory.

Why is kindle books cheaper than buying on Apple iPad,I've just checked it out and it's a £1.00 difference it may not seem a lot but if your buying all the time like I do it could work out deer.

I seriously doubt that seeing as how this is a user to users forum that is not frequented by either Apple or Kindle.

Online reservations/booking industry

Hi All,
What could be the possible scenarios in a Online hotel reservations, Online airticket reservations and online tour set up industry. Orders come through EDI, Online, Via phone etc.
The company keeps the commission from the customer/agent and from the Hotel/Airline. What should be the general SD process flow and what special scenerios should be there?
If SAP is already implemented there then where can we think of possible enhancement in the system?

Thanks. I've tried this and apparently the template I'm using is one of those where it doesn't work. I've tried dragging it as well as cutting a pasting but it always travels back to the end of the book. Maybe I can try changing the template temporarily, move the preface page, and then convert back to the original template. I'll experiment a little.

Address Book - Name Completion Search Order missing books

We have Groupwise 8.0.2 running on Netware 6.5 SP8
Problem: in the Address Book, the Name Completion Search Order shows different Available Books depending on the computer, but no computer has all the available books.
Computer 1: (the user's pc): Windows 7. The Available Books has only the Groupwise Address Book and the Frequent Contacts. It does not show the user's personal address book as being available, it is not even listed in the box.
Computer 2: Windows 7. The available books box is empty.
Computer 3: (my pc) Windows XP. Logging into Groupwise with the user's account, the available books box is empty (same as Computer 2), but when I go into my account, all 3 books are showing (Groupwise, Personal, and Frequent Contacts)

Do they correct anything if you run them
1. against the caching mailbox (if used)
2. against the online box?
IMHO there should be a "how to" when the users personal address book is missing/deleted and not just closed...
Just google a bit ;)
