Infotype 315

We are having the following issue:
In the company there are certain external employees that must register their working hours to two different projects. Is there a way they can register this through CATS Timesheet?We have filled de 0315 infotype with this information: Sender Information (Controlling Area, Sender Cost Center, Activity Type); Supplementary information (Plant); External Employee (Vendor Sending purch. order,Sending PO item)Through cutomizing, the time constaint has been set so that there can be two records. But in spite of this, if one of these records is limited to 30.01.2001, it is still possible to make the registration of hours to this proyect on a later date (eg: 02.01.2001)

Default values in CAT2

Hello All!
I'm configuring a data entry profile CATS for HR and CO. I'm using Infotype 315 for default values in CAT2 (activity type and cost centre), but when I enter the target hours in CAT2 the only field that get defaulted is A/A type. I have made the proper customization in tranzaction CAC1 (configuration of data entry profile) and I have entered data in 315.

SAP HR CAT2 transaction

Hello,
I am an ABAP consultant working with CAT2 transaction .
I wanted to know in which table is the work center and plant for an employee stored?I mean does HR use common work center & plant tables used by other modules like PP,MM or it uses a database of its own to store this.
Which are the tables from which I can retrieve the work center & plant for a specific personnel (corresponding to CAT2 transaction) & ,and what data we need to input to get this?
The reason for this requirement is that I am using bapi 'BAPI_CATIMESHEETMGR_INSERT' to insert records from incoming file and it throws the error while inserting that says 'Enter a work center and a plant',whereas if you enter the same in CAT2 transaction it has the inherent functionality to retrieve the work center & plant and updating CATSDB.
So I want to populate the internal table with work center&plant before passing it to the BAPI,so that it doesn't throw such an error.
Please let me know if you have any info pertaining to this.

Have a look on the employees infotype 315 (via transaction pa30), this stores the Plant and is a default to the CAT2 screen.
Another option is that you can turn these two fields off in the CATS profile (Transaction CAC1).

If you have defined activity types then you can define them with the right price in KP27 for each costcenter.
the costcenter is connected with the personelnumber.. in infotype 315 you can define which is the default activitytype for each person.
if you have only 1 activitytype you can also programm the user exit to fill it in by default
see EXIT_SAPLCATS_002 to implement a fixed activitytype for whole cats

Cost center on CAT2

Is there a way to default funds/cost center in CAT2 screen? Our requirement is to control the way the cost/funds center appear in the CAT2 screen based on the position the employee holds. If the position is XYZ, then the cost/funds center should either default to the home cost center of the employee and the time admin should have the flexibility to charge a portion of the hours to a different WBS element/Cost/Funds center. Also, the WBS elements should be available as a drop down list in the CAT2 screen.

Thank you so much for your inputs. I did read about the infotype 315 for defaulting cost center. Since this would require manual creation/mass upload of cost center to each of the employees, it would be easier to have this defaulted directly from the CAT2 screen with a drop down list to chose from. I guess we have to look at user exits to achieve this (?)
Would you be able to give me some help on how to activate the cost center, WBS elements on the CAT2 screen? I have tried to do this in the CAC1 where I saw two check boxes for master cost center and cost center. I didnt see any cost center fields in the cat2 screen after checking these boxes. Another question is, how do I get the WBS elements displayed as a drop down list. Please excuse me if I am repeating the questions that you think you have already answered. I am brand new to this.
What did you mean by planning? Did you mean OM? If it is OM, yes we do use it. How can we have the list displayed in this case? User exit?

HRMD_ABA change pointer trigger not work for info type changes

Hi,
In change pointer for message type HRMD_ABA Certain changes to HR records like adding activity types to infotype 315, changing dates to infotype 0001, 0105 and 315 and adding/changing/deleting are not woking through change pointers.
We are are replicating those changes through RHALEINI program, so can anyone let me know how to customize in case of adding this info types to trigger automatically through change pointers.

MSS different cost center by approved time sheet

In Table CATSDB seen we the results from time entry. The fields Send cost center and receiver cost center. An employee has an standard costcenter as masterdata. When this person works a couple of hours on a cost center that differs from his standard (master data), he giving in the cost center were he works on. Every thing is ok in ESS.
In MSS in the team viewer this person belongs to a team. Bij the approval of time sheets he displays standard (master data) and the u2018differentu2019 cost center. This situation we want to avoid. The u2018differentu2019 cost center is somebody else his responsilibility.
I try something with Cost center responsility. Can someone help me?

I have the same requirement where i have to default the Sending cost center and Actiivty type from infotype 315 in the CAT2 sending cost center and activity , but in the cats profile defaults section i have kept the Cost Center and acitivyt type checboxes being checked , still iam not getting the values of the 0315, please could you let me know how to default the values in cat2.

Record timesheet by CATS without Infotype 0007

Dear gurus,
I'm working for a support project which SAP system was implemented long time ago.
Users in this system enter time sheet by CAT2 everyday - book time against order, network, WBS, etc.. However, when I checked their personal master in PA30, there's no infotype 0007. They have only 0000, 0001, 0002, 03, 06, 09, 17 and 315. So I confuse - as I thought 0007 is required to enter timesheet, and can they generate WSR without 0007?
I also think about a possible reason - maybe I dont have autho to view IT 0007 - but SU53 shows nothing.
Do you have any idea about it?

Error in creation of custom PD infotype

Hi,
I have a task of creating a custom PD infotype(p9xxx). I created HRI9xxx structure with all the custom fields and when I try to create the infotype using tcode PPCI(selected 'field infotype' option and create button in the 'infotype' block was pressed), it gives an error message that p9xxx-begda is not in ABAP dictionary and then it gives me list of screens, module pools and tables created. This custom infotype entry does not exist in T777I. I have tried regenerating it and same problem persists. If anyone knows the solution, please do let me know.

While I am creating a query for it its giving an error
Message no. AQ_AD_HOC221 Error when generating the report(see long text )
I tried to execute the standard program RPUMS40CCI but still I am facing same error .
I have also maintained table T777i for my infotype but still problem exists.

Error while transporting modification in module pool of a specific infotype

While transporting some modifications that have be done on the PAI of a module pool of a specific infotype, we have an error with code return = 8, the error is --> Original object R3TRPROGMP900730 must not be changed!!!

Error while editing an automaticlly populated record of a custom infotype

hi,
a query in HR ABAP.
i have created a custom Infotype to store the CTC details of an employee. this custom IT needs to get the records auto populated, when they are created in Infotype 0008.
i have used the exit. EXIT_SAPFP50M_002 inside which an include program is written :ZXPADU02
using this, the records made to get create automatically in the custom IT.
but when we try to modify or delete those records thru the tcode PA30,
it does not allow to do so and throws a standard error message. as below.
Specified subtype is invalid
Message no. PG088
please help me out to fix this issue.

the exact point of the std error is,
i do the folowing steps.
1)_ for auto creating a record in custom IT Pa**** , i goto transaction, PA30, create record in IT 0008 with a basic Pay., click on save.
on saving , the EXIT_SAPFP50M_002 is called where i ve written a Z inlcude Program, which inserts the record in custom IT PA****. this is successful.
2) when i try to change or delete the same record which i ve created as above, through the Tcode PA30 for custom IT, PA
****, i get the error.

Problem in creation of infotype

Hi,
When i will try to create a custom infotype and am trying to save it ,it gives the following error "Package in non-original system only modifiable with Organizer Tools" and a default package came in the initial screen of PM01.So i cant understand it please help me to saolve this issue.

Ali,
Please check the package which you are saving. per my understanding, this is routed to non original system.
Use the valid package which is attached and routed to QAT and PRD box path, then it will resolve your issue.
