I was reading the document for infotype 0009(Bank Details).
In one of the line, it specified that "Infotype cannot be changed retroactively".
What they mean by it...in terms of SAP...

Hi Deepan,
You can not change IT 0009 retroactively for an EE as payroll for the previous periods in already run and employee has already received the payment.
You can only change IT0009 going forward.

How i need to write a logic to generate idoc for some of infotypes, when i change the single infotype

Hi experts,
I have an requirement , when I change any infotype record from pa30 or pa40, i.e
suppose I am changing the infotype 0002 in pa30 , the idoc only generated for that changed infotype only,
but I need it to generate the idoc for some other infotypes also I.e(0000,0002,t528t, 0016).
So please give me some help to generate idoc when I run a rbdmidoc(bd21).

yes, visible bounds is reading the non-visible masked objects too.
you're going to have to do it the hard way, loop through all your objects to get your bounds manually, and while you're at it, test for clipping masks and use the masking path instead.

E-Recruitment - Requisition - Infotype Field Level Change Log

Hi Experts,
We are implementing SAP E-Recruitment, and would like to know how to capture the changes made in Requisition at infotype field level.
For example: If a support team member is added/delete in the Requisition (Tab - Support Team), then these changes (NEW/DELETE) at the infotype field level are required.
I have tried to maintain the infotype and the required fields in V_T582A, V_T585A, V_T585B and V_T585C. But didnt get any result when I executed the report RPUAUD00. Is there any additional configuration required for this?

You can just to that with the infotype table log. Support team is stored in table HRP5131.

There is a requirement to track the changes made to an infotype record. Before I set up the Change Documents (T585A, T585B, T585C), I would like to know if there would be a performance impact because of the logging being turned on.

Yes; there should be performance impact if you are tracking the log for big population company.
When you choose field group definition node, try to choose only key field in which you want to track changes instead of all fields(*).

Update an infotype depending uponthe changes in another infotype

I have a requirement in which i have to do the following:
On Updation of BEGDA, ENDDA and ZSALOP IT9051 for a pernr, a new record is to be created in IT2001 of home country with the same BEGDA, ENDDA and AWART for the same pernr.
I am writing the code in transaction PM01, screen module of IT9051 (PAI).
As i am new to ABAP so can anyone tell me the statements which i can write for the above requirement.

I think you should use dynamic actions (t588z).
It will be simpler and easier to modify in the future (what if the requirements change? somebody will go "inside" infotype an will have to modify the code?).
Read help about dynamic actions if you didnt use it yet.

Infotype Screen control - change field from display to change

Hello,
I have a field in a custom infotype, which is showing up as only display. I want to change it so that values can be input. I checked the screen layout in se51 and found that the field is checked as input possible field. There is no entry for this infotype in T588M. I am not sure, where else should I look so that i can change to field to take the input. Please suggest.

I checked in Module pool Program. The program is written to check the field for some personnel areas. Now, when i did debug, I found that PSYST-werks is not read correctly. Suppose if there are 3 records in infotype 0001, its getting the first record value, not the recent record value. Any suggestions how to change the code, so that the PSYST get the recent record value?

Needs to update Infotype using ALE-Change Pointers-ECC 6.0

HR Experts,
We are using ECC 6.0. There are two SAP-HR systems.. for e.g system A and B.
We would like to send data from system A to B.
If there are any changes in system A for Infotype-0, 1, 2, 6, 8, the IDOC should be generated and it should deliver and update the infotypes in system B.
What message type I have to use?
Do I have to use change pointers?
If there is only change in any one of the above infotypes then it will generate IDOC for all above infotypes or just the changed one?

Retiree Employees, Payroll Infotype Ear.MD change

Dear Team:
Usually, when any change in the master data is done for an employee, the date is updated in the Infotype 0003 in the field Ear. MD Change.
In our scenario, while running payroll it always start from 01.05.2006 even if we change the master data on some other date.
Note: All retiree employees have a Leaving Action record with the date after 10 years from the date of retirement.

Current Scenario
When the payroll administrator runs the payroll for retiree employees, it starts calculting from 05.2006 every month the payroll is run. Even when the infotype 0008 master data is changed, the payroll status infotype 0003 is updating the field of Eearliest Master Data Bonus and not the Ear. MD change field. But after this when payroll is run again, it starts from 05.2006. As there are many retiree employees in the organization, during this payroll run, it is taking too much time to process the same.

I have activated badi:HR_IN_LOANS_VALIDATE implementation: ZHR_VALIDATE and its is working fine for creating Infotype 45 (INS) but when i change(MOD) it is not called. ie it does not enter the badi implementation code.

Change infotype 2003 when changing infotype 2001

Hi,
When changing some infotype 2001, I need to make a change for the same date in infotype 2003. So, I'm using BADI HRPAD00INFTY, method BEFORE_OUTPUT so I can change infotype 2003.
I already can change the infotype in that BADI, but after changing infotype 2001, which means on PAI, it seems that the old value of infotype 2003 is saved in memory, so it does not assume the new value there, and it gives me a warning message that I want to avoid with this development.
When I leave the transaction, infotype 2003 is updated, so that is working.
Do you have any idea how can I save the change in infotype 2003 in memory, so when changing 2001 it will recognize it?

PU12: all master data (+history) exported when 1 infotype is changed

Hi,
The problem we are facing is the following...
We run report RPTUPD00 for an employee. This report updates all absences of an employee, which could be of several years ago.
The next time we run the export, all master data of this employee is in the export file, not just the changed absences. And not only master data of the current payroll period, also all records of before. As a result, we end up with a temse file of a few 100MB, while otherwise it's never more than a few MB.
I don't understand why this is happening. The records of the other infotypes have not changed since the previous export, yet they are again included, despite having change validation activated.
I'm thinking it might be because report RPTUPD00 sets the earliest master data change date in IT0003 to the oldest absence (which is logical).
In the documentation, there is the following:
"During the first export after a change covering several periods, the changes are sent for every payroll period affected by the change."
But in our case, there are no changes (except to IT2001 of course), yet all other infotypes are also completely exported again.
So I don't know how this can be solved, anyone has an idea?

I understand that after change credit limit in FD32 you musn't run it, because as note says:
The RFDKLI20 report recreates the SD and FI credit data after
organizational changes
and I understand that change the credit limit (for instance, an insurancer set the credit limit to zero) isn't an organizational change. Think that if you do a SO in a moment when you have an insurance for nonpayment, the withdrawal of it isn't retroactive. I think that you know SAP Note 408596 - RFDKLI20: Recreating credit data - new documentation. Other useful note is SAP Note 396338 - Problems in credit management - analysis help
The second. Avoid it in business hours. It's related with locks. You can lock to other users or other users can lock you (a SO, a FI document, and so on) and as these notes says, you must to re-run it.
Finally, if you read the documentation of F.28, info icon, it suggests us: to run it in non-business hours and run it in background.
Other suggestion, take into account the question related with documents that end-users changed their credit status, it's possible that these documents return to values before to change them with tools as VKM4 (but perhaps it happens with RVKRED77, sorry but it's been a long time since I did it last time).

Change infotypes end date when delete leaving action for employee

I created new infotype and when employee leaves its end date is changed for leaving date.
When leaving action is deleted ther is some least of infotypes that user can sign so the end date of selected infotypes will be changed to 31.12.9999. How can i add my infotipe to this list?

Hi,
Maintain IT 0041 where in that table maintain employee start date of hiring and leaving date of employee bze in IT 0000 the dates will change as per action lets say if employee hire that date will be in IT 0000 action and if employee gets promotion date or leaving date that will store in IT 0000 by delimiting other actions
So maintain IT 0041 where you can pull dates from there if you maintain
End date will always be 31.12.9999 so check action start date you will get in sequence

Change Pointers not being created for HR-PA Custom Infotype

Problem Description:
We have a custom Infotype in SAP to store the data for contingent employee - Infotype 9001. Change pointers is
turned on. We are running the program RBDMIDOC to send changes to Oracle IDM using message HRMD_A. The change
detected for all infotypes except 9001. For 9001, the change pointer is not created.
The following are the current configuration details:
IDOC Extension Created to Idoc type HRMD_A07 (ZHR_EXT)
custom segment zhr_seg
Change pointers are switched on.
Change pointers switched on for message Type HRMD_A.
IDOC configuration created for Port / Process code etc.
Maintenance of view T777D - Added ZHR_SEG.
If I add the segment ZHR_SEG as a 2nd segment to Infotype 0000, I dont get a syntax error. But the changes for Infotype 9001 are not picked up.
If I add the segment ZHR_SEG as a segment to Infotype 9001, I get a syntax error - check EDI: Syntax error in IDoc (mandatory segment missing) below.

Diagnosis
The segment ZHR9001 has the attribute 'Mandatory' in the syntax description of the basic type HRMD_A07 (customer enhancement ZHR_EXT). However, the segment is missing in the IDoc. The segment number logged in the status record identifies the item before which the segment is missing.
This error may have been triggered by an unidentifiable segment before the expected mandatory segment.
Procedure
Please check the IDoc or the syntax description of the basic type HRMD_A07 (customer enhancement ZHR_EXT).

Here, you can define the object types for which you want to monitor the changes
Position Budgeting and Control ->Automatic Commitment/Budget Creation ->Basic Settings ->Activate Recording of Financing Relevant Infotype Changes ->Define Infotypes Relevant for Change Log
Here, you can define the infotypes that you want to monitor.
Finally, make sure the change log is activated at the below step
Position Budgeting and Control ->Automatic Commitment/Budget Creation ->Basic Settings ->Activate Recording of Financing Relevant Infotype Changes ->Activate Change Log for Infotypes
