Infotype menus
Hi,
i want Selection of infotype menus, n i have chosen menu type as 'S' in table V_T588C but how can i view my menu, i read in F1 documentation tht i need to choose 'other function' where is this and how can i set my menu and not the HR Master Data menu?
Also can anyone tell what is refernce group 00
Kavita
let me explain you what i understand with infotype menus.......u define your own menu( menu name) make it user dependent, then select the intotypes( define infogruop) in your menu now you slect the menu with its infotypes with menu type ' S' to appear when a transaction say PA30 is called.
now in the step Personnel Management --> Personnel Administration --> Customising Procedures --> Info Menus --> Determine choice of menus > 1st option ( deternmine user gruop dependencies on menus and infogruop> there are many entries in my IDES system like
01 HR master data
32 payroll info etc.
BP benefits profile
EP employee profile
here i have 2 Quest.
1. why is there 32, or BP or EP
if i include my infotype menu in 01 it appears with its infogroup, but when i include in the others say BP, EP i cannot see my menu.
.Navaneethan said...Enter 01 in the menu box if you want to make changes to PA30...........is it always we have to include in 01, can it be 00 also, since 00 is also a refence grp.....when i try 00 in choice of infotype menus system doen not accept 00
2 .what should i do that i can see the other menus say BP EP or 32 i have tries ugr but vry confused

Hi..
Im still new in this.
I would like to know how do i actually hide certain infotypes menus instead of deleting it?
Currently, there are a few infotype menus such as Contract data, Planning Data, Personal Data and etc. However, I would like to hide Contract Data and Planning Data Infotype menus.
What are the steps that i should follow?
Thanks.

Hi All,
I am configuring infotype menus for PA30, I made changes in the following tables
V_T588C, V_T588B, V_T588C (Determine choice of infotype menus), V_588B_S (with Reference user group-98).
As this menu is user dependent I have checked all user dep. boxes. After this with SU3 - I have changed UGR to 98.
I found no changes in PA30, Please let me know what am I missing here,
Thanks,
JitendThanks alot Thomaselsy, It worked for me.

Add infotype in dropdown in PA20
Hi,
User is missing an infotype from dropdown list in PA20. The infotype definitely exists. I checked the table V_T588B but was unable to check if this infotype was available for the particular user group. But I am pretty sure that this IT is available for this UG.
My question is: how do you add an infotype to the dropdown list?
Will appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Monika.Hi,
Please check SU3 T.Code in your user's ID. In this T.code there is one tab called parameters under this you should maintain your UGR (User Group), MOL (Country Grouping). After you maintain this values check in PA20/PA30.
Based on the UGR, infotypes will maintain under Infotype menus.
Thanks & Regards

Can any one tell me ..

Regards
Surendar THi Surendar,
Go to SPRO : Personnel Management - Customizing Procedures - Infotype Menus - Infotype Menu - Double click INFOTYPE Menu.
There from the Menu F4 help select "Employee Info" and click Continue.
First note the last number for your user group.
Click "New entries".
Write user group - last number+1, infotype number (9XXX) and save.
Good luck,

Hi Experts,
In the Expert Mode (PO13),
What is the use of tabs Like (Active, Planned, Submitted ,Approved, Rejected). How & in which condition we use.
we also maintain OM infotypes here.
I would like to know this the only place we maintain the OM infotypes or any possibility in (Infogroups & Infotype menus).
Appreciate your early response.
Regards
RajeshHi,
Any object created in the Organisation goes through the planning cycle during wich they will be approved or rejected.
A planned status is assigned to each Infotype record .Following are the different status of planning cycle.
Planned , Submitted , Approved , Active ,Rejected
In your case PO13 is used to maintain positions.Positions are created in the planned status and then sent for approval.Depending on approval they can either become active or rejected. The status can be manually changed via menu option - Edit->status change.
If the client wants to save the approval cycle in SAP you use the various status and change the status manually or via workflows.
For example - first craeted position in planned status, once it is submitted for approval change the status to submit via Edit menu option .
If the client doesnt want to capture status then obejcts are created directly in active status in SAP.
PO13 is for position maintenance
P010 for org unit maintenance.
PP01, PP02 - object maintenance.

Some infotypes in PA30/PB30
Hi all
I observe the following:
In PB30/PA30 when I want to check infotype 0105, I put it in direct selection where we input the infotypes. Does anyone know why it doesnot appear in the list of infotypes which is shown above in the same screen!
Regards,
BharatThe menu path for this is
PM>>PA>>Customising procedures>>Infotype menus. The two steps are:
First determining which infotypes the tab strip will consist of and secondly assigning the tab strip to appear for the user group you want to avail it for. You can take a tab strip that is already available for your user group and add IT0105 in there. (as in step 1) The infotype should then appear in the tab. To see under which user group to add the infotype in the tabstrip check the UGR setting off the menu bar of the SAP screen you are at (System>>User profile>>Own data>>Parameters.

How to change the entry screen for Fast entry
Hi,
My scenario is that I want to allow my user to enter the cost assignment as well for infotype 14, 15 and 2010 in the fast entry. I noticed that there is actually a screen in the module pool mp001400, mp001500 and mp200000 which include those 'cost assignment' fields.
For example, in mp001500, screen 2000 is the standard one while screen 5100 is the one with the 'cost assignment' fields. So I created an entry for mp001500 screen 5100 in table T588M and saved it. However, when I try to use the transaction PA70 to create it0015 records again, it still use the standard screen 2000.
What else I have to do so that when I use PA70, screen 5100 will be called up.
Thanks,
FrancisHi there. Go into the IMG through transaction SPRO and follow this path:
Personnel management -> Personnel administration -> Customizing procedures -> Infotype Menus -> Set up infotype menu for fast data entry. Then select "screen types for fast data entry" and click the "choose" button. You can now see each infotype that is included in fast entry, the default screen, and the fast data entry screen. We use screen 5100 in certain cases for infotypes 0014 and 0015, so we have two entries in this table for each of those infotypes. Here are the values we have:
infotype, screen control, default value, fast data entry, selection report
0014 (blank) 4000 5000 RPLFST00
0014 01 4100 5100 RPLFST00
0015 (blank) 4000 5000 RPLFST00
0015 01 4100 5100 RPLFST00
We are on ERP2005. I hope this helps.

SAP HCM Implementation: Best Practice for configuring
Hi,
This is my first independent project of HCM implementation. I have just started the system configuration. Done with setting up the PA, PSA, EG and ESG. Assigned to CC. At this stage, I have a very basic question which is, what is the best practice for the next steps of configuration. What do I go to next, step up the OM in the SAP EasyAccess Menu? How should I go from here?
Would really appreciate some explanatory assistance.
Thanks in advance.

Hi all,
i'm looking for a way to enter a lot of entries for a lot of EE.
PA71 don't permit to do this for IT2012, and 41.
-> Does anybody have an idea?
ThanxHi Fafa,
If you can assign the infotype 2012 to Inftotype menu 09-Fast Entry for Time you can do fast entry using PA71. Like wise if you assign the infotype 41 to infotype menu 07-Fast entry for Master Data, you can do fast entry using PA70.
U can assign the infotypes to infomenu following path:
Personnel Management -- Personnel Administration -- Customizing Procedures -- Infotype Menus
Under that you need to perform Infotype Menus, and probably setup infotype menus for fast entry
Hope this will help you to resolve your issue.
Thanks
