By using the SE12 you can download itfotype template in excel sheet. For example if you want to download for IT 0001 enter PA0001 in the first filed and display the table. Then use CtrlshiftF10 then execute. Here you can get the infotype template, For Om IT use HRP1000 in the same process

Appraisal template is not allowing to enter values in 25 infotype
Dear consultants,
I have created an appraisal status and released it .and its showing in 25 infotype .
when i click the execute button it should allow me to enter the ratings but its not happening when i execute
all fields are grayed out and i cant enter any ratings there.in status flow tab of template i have checked In preperation,in process and comleted statuses.
please help me out.

In the criterion where you define the columns and the scales there is a column called as value. check the value there. IF it is no entry then all the rating fields normally are greyed out. Change it to either optional or mandatory according to the requirement.

Predefined PMS Templates Infotypes or Table
Hi,
We are in the process of implementing talent management. We are also using predefined performance management for appraisals.
Even after the appraisal is completed (SAP status is closed approved), the appraisal rating is not getting saved in IT 7409.
Since its predefined PMS, the appraisal template is created via wizard and it is working fine according to the standard process. Is there something else which needs to be done/activated to save the appraisal rating in IT 7409?
Please tell me some one where this predefined templates will store with all status, i mean infotye number or table name.

The pre-defined is using the infrastructure of the appraisal engine and as such all data is stores in objects va, vb, vc. And although they have infotypes assigned you cannot / should not look at them directly but us transaction phap_catalog instead.
The pre-defined templates cannot be changed in this transaction but displayed, go to the VA level, Processing tab, and then at the bottom you find follow processes. Make sure Performance / performance and potential update in TMC is ticked.
When this is not the case you have missed a setting in the template configuration. When it is set, just place a break point in the badi to see where it goes wrong. According to the coding in the implemetation there is no special setting needed (but i just skimmed it quickly over)

DIF Time infotypes: Availability of time infotypes in the decoupled infotype framework
Hi (fellow) experts,
My primary and most wondered question:
Does anyone out there has an idea on SAP schedule to release compatibility fix for time infotype (constraint Z) in the decoupled infotype framework?
Many of us lately talk about and use the decoupled infotype framework; I see many clients interested in HR-Renewal PAOM attractive interface but when question turns around time data I tend to change subjects)... HR Renewal 2.0 has awesome new features such as the Payroll Control Center and the possibility for dynamic action but still no access to time infotypes... Tricky to manipulate infotype 2010, 0416 data without accessing the backend system to correct payroll data... I don't even start on 2001 absence infotype..., etc...
I also have some question on the SAP official working model for certain PA infotype that update in background time data (e.g. 0080 for instance).
There are some country specific infotypes that bothers me a little bit because I don't understand the SAP working model behind it; it's about french infotype Work stopped (0424) which is a data entry screen for work incapacity derived from illness or accident at work that update infotype 2001 in the background.
Now if I take a detailed look at the decoupled class CL_HRPA_INFOTYPE_0424 method SPECIFIC_INSERT_COMPUTATIONS for instance I can see how the specific logic to create infotype 2001 is nicely commented out in the code while in the backend both those infotype are completely integrated.
So what am I to understand: class is actively decoupled and I can use it but I will never have the same functionality that I have in the backend system? or is something else? same question apply to infotype 0080 under not only the french template, but UK, Spain... etc... , in the french version it updates both infotype 0424 and 2001 in the backend but I don't see nothing of the sort in the DIF even though there is an active specif FR convertion class (does not seems to be in working order and no infotype 0424 update anywhere nor of course 2001)...
Let me be clear: I think the DIF initiative is a great innovation from SAP; very easy to understand, manipulate and so much more versatile. It would be awesome if everything would be ready to use ... very powerful tool.

Well well sounds like some effort in decoupling time infotype development has been released into EHP8.
At least I am able to see development class and FPM configurations for infotypes 2001, 2006, 3355... so even if not everything is ready I can now see things are well on the way!

Letters to be auto generated via Word templates
Hi Experts,
We are trying to auotmate the letter generation through dynamic actions in PA30. e.g. We want to generate the appointment letter in word document after completion of the hiring action. We have customised a new infotype and the sub type under the same. We have uploaded the word template in OAER also. But we are not able to generate the letter after completion of the action. Can someone let us know where we are going wrong. It would be of great help if someone can give the list of the steps to be followed.

Transport an Appraisal and Objective Setting Template
Note the following advice pertaining to transporting an appraisals and objective setting template (I have not found documentation about this anywhere else, so hopefully some of you find this useful):
Scenario:
You have maintained your templates in PHAP_CATALOG_PA in the main config client, and you have transported all other configurations (basic settings, etc.) to your unit test/integration test environment.
However, although you have right-clicked the category groups and templates to be transported and included them in a transport request, you find that only some of your configuration (or perhaps none at all!) is arriving in the target client when the transport is performed.
You may initially be able to work around this by downloading/uploading your config, but once your templates contain more complex configuration (such as using dynamic element references, etc.) you will find that this is no longer a feasible approach.
Cause & Resolution:
The problem is caused by outdated information in the workflow definition environment (transaction SWU3), and specifically the section labeled "Check Entries from HR Control Tables".
Run transaction SWU3, expand tree node "Maintain Definition Environment" (which should be marked with a red cross at this stage) and click on "Check Entries from HR Control Tables". The information presented in the right-hand pane indicates that:
If there are errors regarding the transport objects PDST or PDWS, the relevant entries are not maintained in table SOBJ. You can use the report RHSOBJCH to rectify this later.
Proceed as suggested and run report RHSOBJCH (through SE38 or SA38) in the config client (i.e. where the templates are to be transported from). This has no side-effects I am aware of other than updating the reference information required.
If you now run SWU3 again you should find that the "Check Entries from HR Control Tables" node is marked with a green tick.
Simply go back to the catalog, include your cat.groups & templates in a transport again, and Voila! Our work here is done.

Side-note: You may ask (as I did) what transporting of appraisal templates has to do with workflow, but it just so happens that the PD objects and infotypes associated with appraisals (VA, VB, VC, etc.) are transported through the same mechanism as workflow templates (which are also PD objects). if you peek inside the transport you will note that everything to do with the template and category group configuration is bundled inside PDWS and PDST transport objects...

Hi Abe,
what is the appraisal process you are talking about? The new stuff in ep4 where you define the process and steps which create the roadmap at the top of the document? if so SAP does not have a great straightforward solution, but they did provide us some options.

I am unable to build a custom extractor from view in hcm to extract the infotype 0102.
could you please help me out in understanding hcm custom extractions?
The error message was: Invalid extract structure template PA0102.
Can I not create a custom extractor over any infotype? what about the custom infotypes?
Please help me in understanding this: If we create a custom infotype in R3, will all the data related to that reside in one underlying table or not?
Can I create a custom extractor to extract from the custom infotype without ABAP?

I guess your is related to some of the amount or quantity fields included in pa0102. Check it out. They must point to unit fields also included in pa0102. In case they do not, it is not possible to use that table for extraction. You need to create a view on it as well as on the unit tables and include the unit fields into your view. Then it will work.

I have a problem with the customizing in order to recognize the changes in infotype 0000 + infotype 0001 for employees.
What do I want?
If there is a new hire, a rehire, a retire or a company-left action, I want to start ONE workflow in order to dispatch the employee data to several satellite systems considering the new validity dates.
What happens currently?
I maintain a rehire action through transaction PA40 and the system raises several events so that the workflow start multiply, meaning raises event hired, rehired, companyleft, ...

Iam not sure about what you have done in the customizing but, the above settings represents that the same workflow is set as receiver for different events.
Now As per my understanding what ever you have posted, I feel like you want to restrict the workflow intiiation only for some of the events. and for the remaining events you do not want to start the workflow.
If this is the case then I would suggest that to over come any kind of issues, I suggest you take a copy of the workflow WS9100000070 and assign the new workflow template to each different event, in this way you can differentiate which workflow is acting as a receiver for the event.
and accordingly you activate the Event Linkages in SWE2 txn too.

Performance Management - Appraisal Template is not getting transported
Hello All,
Every year we create a new Appraisal template, where in we use to transport the appraisal template by right clicking on it, change status to Release first and then right click again and transport appraisal document.
But this year transporting the document is not working out. It's not showing that template in target source.

It shows infotype tables with inconsistencies like IT5025 & IT5026. Adjust/fixe these inconsistencies, with this the system automatically transport the contents in those infotypes. -
Problem with Appraisal Template transports
Hi
I am on ECC 6.0 EHP4 and am trying to transport the appraisal transports. I am able to transport the template (VA), criteria group (VB) and Criteria (VC). But the relationship 605 - Includes Element is not getting transported. This is the only relationship which is not getting transported. The other relationship 606 is getting transported.
Also, the following infotypes are not getting transported:
5020, 5021, 5022, 5023, 5024, 5025 and 5026.
Anyone faced such a problem?
Response will be truly appreciated.

has anyone used the transport option within phap_catalog for appraisal templates yet?
When I try to transport it writes an customizing request but just with entries for Infotypes 1000 1001 and 1002. But the template is not visible within the receiving system. Up- and download works fine, but not the transport option.
Transporting categories and category groups seems to work fine.

There is an inconsistency in your transport tables.
The report RHSOBJCH corrects the missing HR entries in the OBJS table.
This step you need to perform only once. For OSA you need to overtake *5020 up to *5026, also PAD605,606 and 607 references.
After this put the template on a new transport and everything will be transported.

Make a template for the same and uplaod.

If you dealing with india payroll definately Yes subject to you business process again.
Even though it is indian payroll some item may not applicable
For exmple other income resourece will be if you go to manufaturing industries you may face problem even though they got some they don't want reveal it to the employee.
in such that infotype is not required as per your business process.
Some states like UP there is no profession tax. Genrally we say profession tax need to be configure you need that master data.
If such case that might be wrong for that you need to give all the info
use PA30 t code go in side check what are the mandatory fields and take them as master data fields and put it in template.
If your client is able to give other field you can very well add them no harm in it.
But make sure you filled mandatory fields
That is the reason i was asking you to tell which coutry payroll you using

Can anybody tell me the steps involved in creating, editing employee;'s own infotype records through WD ABAP view.
I have infotype (IT0057) record which need to be displayed, create, edit. We are also supposed to attach a custom workflow template with this application so that whenever employee updates, creates his own record - a workflow item will be triggered and sent to concern person for approval.
We have designed the customer workflow template for the same. Please tell me the steps to display, create, update infotype record through WD View.

If you want to perform some additional logic on these buttons then the standard buttons on the ALV cannot be used.
You need to have your own buttons and provide coding or you can also use the Normal TABLE UI element.
At first i'm explaining the process for TABLE UI element.
First,
Design the context node in the component controller for that table of contents with the apt columns.
Map this node to the view1.
Now, In the view1,
Create the TABLE UI element and using CREATE BINDING option bind it to this node, while doing this
select the apt type of UI element for each column( I mean if there are any columns for Inputfield/drodpdown etc).
and also you can design the buttons ADD, EDIT,DELETE and implement the actions.
After designing this, try to display the data by reading that infottype and fill the context node by using
the BIND_TABLE of if_wd_context_node.
By default for the table, one row is selected(lead selection). If you want mutltiple ones then use the option
Leadselection(Multi).
The BAPI you specified is for the save/update the infotype.
Now you can start of with this information...Once this is done I can help you out..for further process.
