InfoView needs login information when dynamic parameters are included

Hi,
we've got a Crystal Reports Server 2008 and everything worked fine in the past, but then we had to reinstall the server and now we've got the following problem:
Although we saved the Login information of the report on the server, InfoView asks the user again when you he wants to open the report. But this only happens when the report has a dynamical parameter.
We really tried alot of things but we didn't find a solution and i'm very sure every setting is the same like before the new installation.
Do you have any idea how we can fix this problem?
Database connection is ODBC, but the settings of the connection wasn't changed and the reports are still the same, too. I think it has to be a problem of the server. When we create a new report everything works fine and the login informations are saved but as soon as we include a dynamical parameter, infoview wants the login information again. Btw: We're using Tomcat.

I'm sorry, but yes, parameter means prompt.
When I try Infoview I'm using the same login information as in CR, but we also tried different.
The User has definitely the right to open the report, because he can type in the information when he opens the report in InfoView, and the report and prompt works. The strange thing is, that the login information are already saved in the properties of the report and should'nt be asked again.
Still no solution for this problem... any other ideas?
Again, everything works fine before we made a new installation of the server and im very sure that every setting now is the same, but the port of the infoview has changed, is there a possibility that some ports need to be opened now or something like that?

Hello Veronica,
Negotiation Phase is only for Quotes - it does not apply to Sales orders. You need to create a Defaulting Condition template similar to that called 'In Fulfilment Phase' for Sales orders.
Here are the details:
(1) Navigate to Setup >> Rules >> Search for Application='Order Management' and Entity = 'Order Header' >> Once the rules appear click on 'Defaulting Condition template' >> Under 'In Negotiation Phase' create another Validaton template named 'In Fulfillment Phase' >> Enter any Group# >>Under Validation Rules, Select Attribute as 'Transaction Phase' >> Mark it '=' 'Fulfillment' >> Save
(2) Click Tools (top menu option) >> Generate Defaulting Handler package (you can also run the conc program)
(3) Go to the Ordered Date defaulting rule and do as I had mentioned below.

Eclipse java viewer has Adobe Flash reqrment when Dynamic parameters used

Hello,
I have developed a web application that ties in the crystal viewer for eclipse (java) and I use it on PC's and the Apple IPad.
When I use Crystal's "dynamic parameters" the report does not launch in the IPad. The crystal reports viewer launches with the error, "This content requires Adobe Flash Player 9 or higher". Of course, Apple does not support Adobe Flash.
So, there is code in crystal's dynamic parameters that is calling for Adobe Flash? Is there a way I can disable that?
Any help is much appreciated!

I will close and assume that the viewer uses flash. It would be good to be able to strip that out since the IPad is a fairly ubiquitous device.

Changing the value of the login URL when load balancers are used?

Howdy,
We are running Sun access manager 7 and web policy agent 2.2 on two Sun One web servers. Both of these servers sit behind a load-balancer, and the load-balancer is terminating SSL. The servers are named server1.domain and server2.domain, and the load-balancer FQDN customers access is vip.domain (the servers and the VIP are both in the same domain). Our configuration is currently not working, and it looks like the AMAgent.properties "com.sun.am.policy.am.login.url" value is to blame. When we set AMAgent.properties to the value of one of the hosts, the login redirect sent to clients contains the FQDN of one of the hosts. When we change the name of AMAgent.properties to the load-balancer VIP, the policy agent is no longer to talk to the access manager. After spending a ton of time reading through the forums and the available documentation, it looks like the property "com.sun.am.policy.am.library.loginURL" would fix our problem. Well, we set this value to the name of the server, but for some reason the policy agent is still trying to contact the load-balancer using the value that is listed in the com.sun.am.policy.am.login.url property (we verified this by setting the debug level to all:256). Given this information, is there a way to configure the policy agent use a URL that contains the name of the host it resides on, and have clients use a login URL that contains the FQDN of the VIP? I have looked everywhere for an answer to this, but cannot seem to locate one.

1. have you configured an Access Manager site?
2. The root CA cert should be imported in to the keystore in use wherever the agent has been installed.
3. on the AM servers, put in an fqdn map for the loadbalancer...
When installing an agent, have it point to the load balancer FQDN, along with https as a protocol.
Hope some of this helps.

Suppress login information when clicking on email link

Hi,
I have implemented the service desk functionality and also triggering an email to the message processor with a link to the notification message in Solman.
Everything's working great for me.
I am stuck at one last point.When the user clicks on the link in the email message i get a pop-up prompting the user to enter the SAP login name and password.
Since we are using single sign on, i want to suppress this pop-up always.
Any ideas on the same?

Generated file becomes empty when date parameters are used

Hi,
I have a concurrent program which when run should generate a file. The From and To date parameters make use of a value set (FND_STANDARD_DATE_REQUIRED) whose format type is the 'standard date' and maximum size is 11.
When I run the program in APPS, the format for the FROM and TO date parameters I use is 'DD-MON-YYYY'.
The package which is being called by this program has this in the select statement: and ct.trx_date BETWEEN p_begin_date AND p_end_date
ct.trx_date field type is DATE
Each time I comment out this part of the select statement then compile the package and run the program, I am able to generate the file with the expected records. But when I use this part of the select statement, the genereted file is empty.

Yes, I expect 12 records to be in the file.
Am just not sure if the problem has something to do with the data type being passed. In the package that is being called, the from and to date parameters in the procedure are 'VARCHAR2'. While in apps, the concurrent program's from and to date parameters were assigned a value set whose custom type is 'CURRENT DATE' with format 'DD-MON-YYYY'.

Is Adobe Air SDK needed GPU information, when the game want to load the ATF file ?

Actually I found texture load issue on a game(names samkukjangtu on korean) which is using Adobe gaming sdk.
the game uses the ATF file for the textures on the game(actually it's related in Air SDK, I think).
Of course, it is not problem for others GPU. but the newly launched IMG GPU( PowerVR rgx version ) makes this problem.
I guess the SDK is using GPU information for the control some configuration
is that right? please let me know about this issue ASAP.

Well. the issue is like texture loading problem as shown below.
<- this image is made from ATF files.
From checking original ATF file with ATF view program, the image was all right.
But the image is polluted like this after loaded on Texture memory.
So, I assume that Adobe Air SDK set some configurations for loading ATF files with GPU information.
Becasue this problem is not reproduced on the smartphone which uses the existing GPU(It means already launched GPU), but it is reproduced for the newly developed GPU(actually i'm developing with Imagination rgx version which is not really launched).
To sum up, Please confirm that Adobe Air SDK uses GPU information for loading texture from ATF file.

PL/SQL Web Service. Out Parameters are included in Request.

I am using JDEVELOPER 11.1.1.3.0. I generated a web service from PL/SQL successfully.
When the web service is generated and deployed (Deployed to the IntegratedWeblogicServer) it wants the output parameters to be included with the request.
Here is an example of my wsdl.

Parameters relate to procedures. Web Services require XML messages.
Where are the parameters coming from? You cannot pass a dynamic number of parameters into a procedure, but you can pass a structured type as a parameter which can contain multiple values, whether that is an array/collection type or an XML document itself.
Just package up the values into the XML and pass it to the web service.

Can't create pdf. from word doc when edited photos are included

Or for that matter, from any photo which has been imported from my camera through lightroon, which happens everytime I download shots to my harddrive. I create .pdf tutorials which include process shots and text; whnever I include shots which have come through lightroom, I get an error message telling me that the flies in question are in use with another application. There must be a workaround for this, right? Why can't an edited photo be included into a word doc and then converted to a pdf?

You must have a program open with the image file or you would not get this message.
I just did a test run. It works perfectly with my images. I tried it with a JPG and I tried it with a TIFF.
Word imported them into the document and exported the document to PDF.
The TIFFs were created in Lr by exporting, and they are in the Lr catalog. So Lr is not the culprit for you rproblem.
What I sometimes forget when I edit / change a Word document is that a PDF already created has to be closed. When I don't like my PDF and just go back to Word, do some changes and export again to the same PDF, i.e. overwriting the existing PDF, then the PDF cannot be created. The PDF that needs changing must be closed before another export can happen.

Illustrator CC 2014 file unable to save when live fonts are included.

Illustrator CC 2014 file will not save when there is any kind of font included that IS NOT outlined / converted to paths.
Does not matter what font. I have tried saving as .PDF / .EPS and I still experience the error ("An unknown error has occurred").
If I copy and paste that live font into another .AI file I have open, then that file will also not save and I get the exact same "unknown error" box when trying to do so.
I'm on an iMac and not using any font management software.
Anyone experience this issue yet?

I believe the first guess is corrupted font(s)/font caches, see Items 1) and 11) in Other options (follow the link with that name).
It could be any (number of) font(s) in the fonts folder, not just the one(s) in the document.

Firefox 4 does not validate REGEX in "pattern" attribute of INPUT (type = text) when diacritic characters are includes (Chrome does).

Prompting for password and username only when using dynamic parameters

How do I stop CR XI prompting for password and username only when using dynamic parameters. When no dynamic parameters are used CR XI isn't prompting for the DB user name and password. The report is run from an application which passes the user name and password. I am using Oracle and the problem is both with the native oracle driver and the ODBC RDO driver.

I didnt ask you to change it to static I said I took the parameters totally out of the report. Saved it. Then re-enter the dynamic parameters into the report and it worked for me. That might have worked for you, not sure why you changed it to static.
Ok I have just created a quick report using dynamic parameters, it didnt ask me for the username password.
Can you create a sample report - just to test the db? and see if it works? add only 1 or 2 fields in the report, create parameters (dynamic) and see if it works
why don't you embed the username and password in your application, it won't ask for username password then.

Now the SAP Source system is formatting and going to rebuild with Production COPY.
but the system information (IP,SYS NO, Client No) will remain same .
My Question is : Do we need to re-point Dynamic parameters in the Crystal reports again? or connection remain.

Hi Frischer,
If the copy is the exact same, meaning the query id, as well as the properties of the query are exactly the same, then it would work, as far as I know.
Even the prompts have id's and measures and dimensions too. If those are not the same, then I believe that you would need to remapp.
