Infrastructure Audit Level configuration

Hello,
I''ve searched in MDS tables to found where is stored the configuration value of the SOA Infrastructure Audit Level, but I couln't find it, Can anyone tell me where is persisted this configuration?
Thank in advance.

Yes, in this tables are stored the audit details/data generated by the executed instances, but I'm asking for the configuration of this audit details, I want to know where are persisted this possibles values for the SOA Infrastructure audit level configuration property:
Inherit     Inherits the audit level from infrastructure level.
Off     No audit events (activity execution information) are persisted and no logging is performed; this can result in a slight performance boost for processing instances.
Minimal     All events are logged; however, no audit details (variable content) are logged.
Error     Logs only serious problems that require immediate attention from the administrator and are not caused by a bug in the product. Using this level can help performance.
Production     All events are logged. The audit details for assign activities are not logged; the details for all other activities are logged.
Development:     All events are logged; all audit details for all activities are logged.
Thanks,

  • Setting the Audit Level to off

    Hi,
    I had configured the Audit level for a bpel composite to Off with the help of below property in composite.xml and deployed the same.
    <property name="bpel.config.auditLevel">Off</property>
    The Property also reflects in the SystemMBeanBrowser for the composite but the problem is though the Composite payload is not persisted anymore but the composite tracking instances are still persisted.
    As per the Oracle documentation : "Off": No logging is performed. Composite instance tracking and payload details are not collected.
    Can someone help or provide pointers why the logging is not off for composite tracking instances ?
    Do i need to add something else also in the composite.xml apart from this property ?

    Hi,
    <property name="bpel.config.inMemoryOptimization">true</property>
    <property name="bpel.config.completionPersistPolicy">faulted</property>
    are already set but it was not working though.
    However, i have found the problem finally :)
    The issue was that to prevent the persistence of composite tracking, the audite level has to be set at the composite level and not at the component level
    because setting it on component level will only prevent the dehydration of the component and not the references and the services.

  • Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off

    I am on Oracle 11.1.1.7 BPM suite on W8 64 bit. I can't launch the flow trace and get the error "Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off".  I have set the audit level to development at the soa-infra>SOA Administration> Common Properties > Audit level set to development and Capture Composite Instance State is Checked.
    Can somebody advice.
    Thanks

    Can you please confirm me the following steps...
    Log in to the EM console, Expand soa-infra (soa_server1) , go to the partition where your composite is been deployed, Click on your composite, On the right, click on the dropdown Settings and choose Composite Audit Level. you can choose to set the Audit Level for this composite. If you choose Inherit, it will take the settings to what the server is being set to. Otherwise, we can override it by choosing Off, Production, or Development.
    Make sure your setting for that composite is not Off, keep inherit or production or development.
    Thanks,

  • How to create a multi-level configuration sales order?

    Hi,
        My client use configurable material to sell computers. And the production mode is MTO. One sales order item correspond with a production order
        Now my client also sell array which consist of two computers, two storage, one UPS power etc. That means I must realize multi-level configuration. First, choose the computer type. Second, based on the choosed computer in first step, choose the cpu, disk and so on. And then based on the sales order item, there must be several production order related to the same sales order item.
        Now I have semi-finished product B1,B2--computer. Class type is 300. Many characteristics is allocated to the class. B type material has the BOM which consist of cpu,disk etc.
        Then I created the finished product A--array. Class type is 300. Allocated characteristics is the B1,B2. A has the BOM which consist of B1,B2 etc.
        When I create sales order, I can only config the first level,choose computers for A, can not choose cpu,disk for computers.
        So, how can I find a solution for this scenario?
        Thanks in advance.

    Thanks, Waza
    1.  Does the Sales order BOM explode in the sales order?
    No. Just one top item would be ok for my client.
    2. Why do thy want this in the sales order?  They can explode the BOM in the production order, do they then need pricing at the component level?
    They do not need pricing at the component level. Exploding the BOM in the production order is acceptable. But how can I config the configurable material in components of production order?
    I tried collective order, but the second level of configurable material can not generate production order. I just make use of special procurement 52 in MRP2 of top finished product. Is there something I missed?
    Thanks again.

  • RAID Level Configuration Best Practices

    Hi Guys ,
       We are building new Virtual environment for SQL Server and have to define RAID level configuration for SQL Server setup.
    Please share your thoughts for RAID configuration for SQL data, log , temppdb, Backup files .

    Hi,
    If you can shed some bucks you should go for RAID 10 for all files. Also as a best practice keeping database log and data files on different physical drive would give optimum performance. Tempdb can be placed with data file or on a different drive as per
    usage. Its always good to use dedicated drive for tempdb
    For memory setting.Please refer
    This link for setting max server memory
    You should monitor SQL server memory usage using below counters taken from
    this Link
    SQLServer:Buffer Manager--Buffer Cache hit ratio(BCHR): IIf your BCHR is high 90 to 100 Then it points to fact that You don't have memory pressure. Keep in mind that suppose somebody runs a query which request large amount of pages in that
    case momentarily BCHR might come down to 60 or 70 may be less but that does not means it is a memory pressure it means your query requires large memory and will take it. After that query completes you will see BCHR risiing again
    SQLServer:Buffer Manager--Page Life Expectancy(PLE): PLE shows for how long page remain in buffer pool. The longer it stays the better it is. Its common misconception to take 300 as a baseline for PLE.   But it is not,I read it from
    Jonathan Kehayias book( troubleshooting SQL Server) that this value was baseline when SQL Server was of 2000 version and max RAM one could see was from 4-6 G. Now with 200G or RAM coming into picture this value is not correct. He also gave the formula( tentative)
    how to calculate it. Take the base counter value of 300 presented by most resources, and then determine a multiple of this value based on the configured buffer cache size, which is the 'max server memory' sp_ configure option in SQL Server, divided by 4 GB.
      So, for a server with 32 GB allocated to the buffer pool, the PLE value should be at least (32/4)*300 = 2400. So far this has done good to me so I would recommend you to use it.
    SQLServer:Buffer Manager--CheckpointPages/sec: Checkpoint pages /sec counter is important to know about memory pressure because if buffer cache is low then lots of new pages needs to be brought into and flushed out from buffer pool,
    due to load checkpoint's work will increase and will start flushing out dirty pages very frequently. If this counter is high then your SQL Server buffer pool is not able to cope up with requests coming and we need to increase it by increasing buffer pool memory
    or by increasing physical RAM and then making adequate changes in Buffer pool size. Technically this value should be low if you are looking at line graph in perfmon this value should always touch base for stable system.
    SQLServer:Buffer Manager--Freepages: This value should not be less you always want to see high value for it.
    SQLServer:Memory Manager--Memory Grants Pending: If you see memory grants pending in buffer pool your server is facing SQL Server memory crunch and increasing memory would be a good idea. For memory grants please read this article:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlqueryprocessing/archive/2010/02/16/understanding-sql-server-memory-grant.aspx
    SQLServer:memory Manager--Target Server Memory: This is amount of memory SQL Server is trying to acquire.
    SQLServer:memory Manager--Total Server memory This is current memory SQL Server has acquired.
    For other settings I would like you to discuss with vendor. Storage questions IMO should be directed to Vendor.

  • Configured material(Material Variants) with VC multi-level configuration

    Hi experts,
    I have a question about VC, VC can be a multi-level configuration, and it can be configuration level by level in sales order, this configurable material replace by a configured material(Material Variants ) . however I can only config the first level in Material Variants(MM02 MRP3; the configrable material is a multi-level)! how to solve it?
    If we can not multi level config the VC materil in the configured material, how can it replace the configurable material in sales order?
    Thanks
    lance

    Hi Lance,
    You can do straight away also without user exit .
    There is feature called Variant Matching in Variant configuration. If you can go throgh this and do the step by step configuration and in configuration profile setting you have to set Variant matching Indicator , then Make the Exclusion characterstics ,
    With all the steps , Once the Configurable material is configured in Sales order if it finds the variant matched with the existing variant in the system , then Config Material will be replaced by Material Variant as a line item in the sales order.

  • Questions on XML Publisher/Site Level Configuration

    We are using BI Publisher 5.6.3 in EBS 11i. I am looking for guidance on setting the FO Processing properties.
    On the Administration/Configuration Tab there are no values visible for a number of the FO Processing properties including:
    Use XML Publisher's XSLT processor
    Enable Scalable feature of XSLT processor
    Enable XSLT runtime optimization
    Also, there are no entries in xdo_config_values table. Does this mean that site values are set to default? And if so, are these the correct values for the defaults?
    Use XML Publisher's XSLT processor - TRUE
    Enable Scalable feature of XSLT processor - FALSE
    Enable XSLT runtime optimization - TRUE
    If these are in fact the defaults, I have read in numerous threads that setting 'Enable Scalable feature of XSLT processor' to TRUE can help with performance. Does this only work if the XML is large, or will it also help if you have very complex .rtf templates (multiple levels of dynamic grouping, pagebreaks, nested tables, sums, etc.)? If the complexity is in the .rtf template itself, is it best to set this property 'Enable Scalable feature of XSLT processor' at the template level? When would it be best to set at the site level? At the data definition level?
    I've tried changing this property on a few templates and the outcome doesn't seem predictable. In some cases it seems to improve performance and in other cases there is a decrease in performance. I can't seem to pinpoint why it works in some cases and not others.
    Any additional information would be appreciated.
    Thank you for your help,
    Tam.

    Hi Nabendu.
    BI publisher does have the option of showing a running total in PDF format usign a RTF template. If you look up the advanced rtf samples provided with the BI publisher plugin there is one example to show running totals, with the previous page total at the top.
    you can find this located on your PC where the Word Plugin is installed. C:\Program Files (x86)\Oracle\BI Publisher\BI Publisher Desktop\samples\RTF templates
    replace C:\ with the drive leeter of the drive where your desktop plugin is installed
    Hope this Helps,

    Amshiva,
    I guess you must have overlooked the rules of engagement. It is customary in these forums for questioners to first perform basic research before posting any questions.
    First, search in the forums (search box in the upper right of this page).
    Next, check online help. This help is generic, and not generally specific to a particular industry:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/f4/7d256344af11d182b40000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
    Next, look for generic solutions solutions in Best Practices. This config doc for Production Planning
    http://help.sap.com/bp_bl604/BBLibrary/Documentation/142_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_IN.doc
    If you have already set up production planning in general, there is little else to do, other than select one of the reorder point MRP types for your material masters.
    You could also look for industry specific solutions in Best Practices:
    http://help.sap.com/content/bestpractices/industry/index.htm
    Next search in one of the standard online search engines (such as Google).
    If you have performed all of these tasks, and studied all of the online help that is supplied for free by SAP, then consider posting a question to these forums.
    If you are unwilling or unable to perform such research, then you could engage a consultant to assist you.

  • Isolation level configuration

    Hello there,
    I am converting our not-transaction based application to use transactions. As I want to reduce the performance impact I am configuring some transactions to some lesser isolation levels. As far as I understand from the docs, the general way to do it is to set proper isolation level in TransactionConfig when creating a transaction.
    But from what I see in the docs, it's possible to use PrimaryIndex.get() third parameter (lockMode) to specify isolation for the specific operation as well.
    So my question is: what are props and cons of per-operation isolation configuration compared to per-transaction isolation configuration?
    I.e. I'm considering which approach is better:
    1.
    TransactionConfig txnConfig = new TransactionConfig();
    txnConfig.setReadUncommitted(true);
    Transaction txn = myEnv.beginTransaction(null, txnConfig);
    for (id : idList)
    primaryIndex.get(txn, id, null);
    2.
    Transaction txn = myEnv.beginTransaction(null, null);
    for (id : idList)
    primaryIndex.get(txn, id, LockMode.READ_UNCOMMITTED);
    In general I understand that specifying isolation on per-operation basis probably was intended to be used as a tool for locally changing the general transaction setting like
    3.
    TransactionConfig txnConfig = new TransactionConfig();
    txnConfig.setReadUncommitted(true);
    Transaction txn = myEnv.beginTransaction(null, txnConfig);
    for (id : idList)
    primaryIndex.get(txn, id, id == 5? LockMode.READ_COMMITTED : null);
    but I want to know if the 2nd approach is legal and would not lead to some bad consequences.

    Hello Linda,
    Thanks for clarification!
    Still your last note makes me think that I'm doing something that I should not. When you say :
    it does seem unusual to have a transaction where you always choose to use READ_UNCOMMITTEDdo you mean that I don't have to use a transaction for a read-only operations sequence?
    Here's my use-case. In my application I have 2 types of threads:
    Threads of the 1st type would just update some record in the DB. I do it like this:
    Transaction txn = myEnv.beginTransaction(null, null);
    Record record = primaryIndex.get(txn, id, LockMode.RMW);
    record.update(...);
    primaryIndex.putNoReturn(txn, record);
    txn.commit();
    I'm using LockMode.RMW to prevent other threads from writing this record without reading it first.
    Threads of the 2nd type would perform reading of some set of records. I do it like this:
    Transaction txn = myEnv.beginTransaction(null, null);
    int result = 0;
    for (id : idList)
    Record record = primaryIndex.get(txn, id, LockMode.READ_UNCOMMITTED);
    result += record.getValue();
    txn.commit();
    or
    Transaction txn = myEnv.beginTransaction(null, null);
    int result = 0;
    EntityCursor<Record> cursor = primaryIndex.entities(txn, CursorConfig.READ_UNCOMMITTED);
    for (Record record : cursor)
    result += record.getValue();
    cursor.close()
    txn.commit();
    I am using READ_UNCOMMITTED there to reduce chances of locking, as I'm not really interested whether I get the value before it gets updated by some 1st type transaction or after.
    Can you give me any advice on how I should do it in more correct way?
    Should I just remove the transaction from the 2nd type of threads (so there would be no questions on what does the txn.commit() commits there)?
    Does the fact that I'm using LockMode.READ_UNCOMMITTED means that I can get the record in some internally-inconsistent state?
