Initial entries for table USR40

Hello,
i'm trying to find out if exists a download list for initial filling of table USR40. Does anybody know a download list and can help me? Thanks.

Things to be kept in considered while populating this table are : -
1. Insert your company brand name/product name.
2. Insert SAP standard keywords.(abap, replace)
3. Insert SAP components name (portal etc)
4. Insert the hardware components name seen around your system.
5. Insert popular movie titles, book titles, actors, actress names etc.
6. Insert car names.
7. Insert word initial
8. Insert word sap123 and such other general words.
and any other which you think one can easily guess and get access to the system.

Logical system entry for table entry

Hi,
After system copy from one system name to another , I am facing some inconsistenices in various tables.
The table entry can be seen in se16.But when I try to select entries from the same table using SELECT statement, table are not getting populated.
I ran the BDLS also . How do I check the logical system entried for table where I have inconsistent entries?

what are you trying to populate?
If your question is, its not showing anything... what error message you're getting? are you trying to run in the DB level?
If you're getting error, that this object doesn't exist in the database then you might not be logging with correct user. its an SAP table, then its owner is the SAP schema user. If you login with the schema user, it should show in a normal select statement. But if you login with <sid>adm then you have to give the correct schema id before tablename.
select * from <SchemaID>.<tablename>
SchemaID may be sapr3, sapsr3, or sap<SID> depending on your release.

Initial Entry for Exciseable Material

Dear Experts ,
I want to make an initial stock upload for the excisable material throuch 561 mvt type.
WHAT SHOULD I PUT IN EXCISE TAB AT HEADER LEVEL ??
As there is no excise invoice for the initial stock & there is no Capturing of the Excise duty , CAN I USE NO EXCISE ENRTY FOR IT ??

The material is excisable , FERT / ROH / ERSA etc . the tab appears owing to J1Id details that are bieing maintained .
Suppose I do a GR with 561 for an ROH which is excisable (RG23A) , what shud i select in the Excise Tab at header??
1. Caprure & Post Excise
2. Captute only
3. Part 1 Entries Only
4. No excise entry.
Pls not i am loading lumpsum stock of the material as initial entry . There is no specifuc excise invoice associated with it . Further there is no duty that we take credit on ( RG23A part 2 is updated separately thro table entry ) .
So . Should I use NO EXCISE ENTRY???
OR
SHOULD I USE PART 1 ENTRIES ONLY ??
PLEASE NOTE : In any case ( part 1 only / No excise ) the RG23A part 1 register gets updated .

Hi,
I want to create physical file path for my logical file in table FILENAMECI.
The problem is this table allows maintenance with restriction the I cannot maintain through SE16 or SM30 (for V_FileName).
Please let me know how can I create new entry for this table.

Friends - Can anyone help me to understand what could be possible problem if i maintain PAY GRADE & PAY GRADE LEVEL entries through table. I have 57000 thousand entries for different countries so i am using BDC recroding to upload these values.
Please help me find out dependent tables on PAY GRADE & PAY GRADE LEVEL.

Lock entries for table SWWWIHEAD in SM12 Urgent

HI
From last few days, In SM12 there are lock entries coming for workitems of table SWWWIHEAD even though workitem is completed successfully. Time of lock entry shows it is time when approver started taking action on it.
Please let me know is there any impact of this on system and how it is happening and what we should do with these lock entries.

Actually we faced an issue related to this like the approver took action on it. after that the item got locked. the basis is telling there could be the RFC session from SAP Portal inbox which is not closed somehow. may be session is exited without properly logging out. in this case the item was still in his inbox and when the approver tries to open it, the error message says workitem is locked bye the same user id. The basis is telling the lock will be removed after the default stipulated time (in my case, its 8 Hrs ! ).

My requirment is to enable the multple user can loginto the same table for making there entry simultaneosuly .
i have created the table and table maintance as well. and i have created the new lock object and added the code accrdingly and i have used the custom fm which is generated in the tablemainta function group.
forex: table xyz
user 1 , 2, 3, 4, 5,so on..
table should allow all user tomake there entry at time and the entry edited one user should be disabled to other user.
I have gone the forum i didnt found the correct one ..plz guide me ..plz find the attached code .i got this code and referredthe samein my prog ..any suggestions on the below.
1.       Create table ZTEST_SHUKS3.
2.       Create table maintenance generator for the table.

Hi,
I think you are looking for the report which will allow only for entries not for change. In this case, at PBO you write the code to make all the rows in display mode which have records using LOOP at SCREEN .....ENDLOOP. When you click on on NEW ENTRY button, add blank rows and put user entries. When you save,check for existing entries in the table because many users are entering the data at the same time, so check for duplicates KEY entries and UPDATE the table on SAVE button. If you will go in this way, I don't think you have to go for LOCK object. It's required only if you are going for EDIT mode.

ABAP lowercase entries in tables

When we make entries for tables through se11 or se16 in lowercase but DB is taking in uppercase how is it?
Is there any option(menu) available in standard sap?

Transport request prompted when insert new entries for ADCOMP via SM30?

When I insert new entries for table ADCOMP via SM30, the system prompts me for a transport request number when I save the entries. It never asks me the transport no. for any other tables via SM30 edit. Is it something specific to table ADCOMP?
The Table Maintenace Generator is delived by SAP with Authorization group assign to VC (SD User Control), will this cause the issue I have here?
The user is responsible for updating the entries in Production, I had created a Z tcode to run SM30 on this table, at the end, it stills ask for a transport request no.
Can someone help me out on this?

I had searched OSS notes before I posted my question here. Note# 726769 mentioned the maintenance view on ADCOMP. As I mentioned in my last reply, I am NOT going to change anything on ADCOMP, I just create a custom view ZV_ADCOMP on top of it and change the attributes on the custom view.
I tried and it seems working. I can enter data via SM30 on ZV_ADCOMP, it allows me to save the data without a transport request.
I think my problem has been solved. Thanks for Rob and Suhas 's reply. Points has been rewarded for both.

Checking the initiality of the fields while creating entries for a table

While creating entries using table maintenance generator(TMG) i need to check the initiality of the fields.Are there any such events?
I know i can go and change in the screen by making it mandatory or by writing a module in the PAI of the screen of table maintenance generator. Both of cases i have to change the TMG which is generated by SAP system. I want to know is there a way to achieve this with out changing the TMG possible events?

hi rahul,
as far as i know, you have to do your initial valifdation in TMG and you have to change your TMG. However, if you have checked the initial flag while defining the field, you will not have initial value for that particular field.... (if the field is key field, by default it is not initial)

the procedure is as follows
To create your check table:
Begin at the Dictionary: Initial Screen.
Type the table name in the Object Name field.
Choose the Tables radio button.
Press the Create button. The Dictionary: Table/Structure: Change Fields screen is displayed.
Type a short text, choose delivery class A, and tickmark Tab. Maint. Allowed.
Type the field and data element names at the bottom of the screen.
Tickmark both fields to indicate that they both form the primary key
Press the Save button on the Standard toolbar. The Create Object Catalog Entry screen appears.
Press the Local Object button. You are returned to the Dictionary: Table/Structure: Change Fields screen
Press the Technical Settings button on the Application toolbar. The ABAP/4 Dictionary: Maintain Technical Settings screen is displayed.
In the Data Class field, enter APPL0 (APPL0 with a zero, not APPLO with an alphabetic O).
Enter 0 (zero) in the Size Category field.
Press the Save button.
Press the Back button. You are returned to the Dictionary: Table/Structure: Change Fields screen.
Press the Activate button on the Application toolbar. The message "was activated" appears in the status
bar and the Status field contains the value Act..
Choose the menu path Utilities->Create Entries to enter data into your newly created check table. Enter six rows with land1 values of US, CA, DE, IT, JP, and AU.
Foreign Key Creation Procedure
To create a foreign key:

In the Object Name field, type the name of the table that is to contain the foreign key .

Position your cursor on the field that is to become the foreign key
Press the Foreign Keys button on the Application toolbar. The Create Foreign Key screen will be displayed

Type the name of the check table (-t005) in the Check Table field, or click on the down-arrow and choose it from the list.
The Change Foreign Key pop-up appears. It states Check table name was created or changed. Generate a proposal for field assignment? Press the Yes button.
You are returned to the Create Foreign Key screen. The check table field names and the foreign key field names are displayed. (The check table field names are -t005-mandt and -t005-land1. The foreign key field names are -lfa1-mandt and -lfa1-land1).
Press the Copy button. You are returned to the Dictionary: Table/Structure: Change Fields screen and the message "Foreign key was transferred" appears in the status bar. The Status fields contain the values Revised and Not saved.

Hi Nishant!
When you use 'for all entries' SAP (or database?) does a 'delete adjacent duplicates' on the result. This is necessary because of the special selection technique in this case.
You need to select enough columns from /sapsll/prt, so that your two entries will differ in the result.

System error -no entry in table T093 for the chart of depreciation or ccode

When checking Depreciation Areas of Company Codes in overview for experts (transaction SPRO) I first get a warning message inconsistent rounding entries were corrected.
After saving once in the maintenance transaction (as recommended in the help text) I get the following system error: there is no entry in table T093 for the chart of depreciation or company code. I checked table T093 and all entries are in there!
What else I have to correct?

yours is customizing problem only, check all steps once again in customizing. T093 is initial customizing for asset accounting. just go through below things and check based on this order all customizing.
1.     Copy Reference Chart of Accounts Depreciation / Depreciation Areas.
2.     Specify Description of Chart of Depreciation (COD).
3.     Copy / Delete Depreciation Areas.
4.     Creation of 0 Tax Codes for Non-Taxable Transaction.
5.     Assign Tax Codes for Non-Taxable Transactions.
6.     Assign COD to Company Code.
7.     Specify Account Determination.
8.     Create Screen Layout Rules.
9.     Define Number Intervals.
check one by one and if you find anything missedout do it, i think max you prblm solve, if not give some more details about your problem.
