Initial password change requested with SSO

Hi all,
we have well working SSO with EP6 SP2 and standalone ITS. SSO is based on SAP logon ticket. Only one annoying thing appears.
If a new user is created in SAP R/3, ITS asks for changing of password.
Does it mean that the user must initially (and later again according to password policy) change the password although we do not use direct access to R/3? If no password change should be required with SSO, how to solve this issue?

Hello,
We are on a very similar setup as above:
EP 6.0 SP12 with ITS.
What we are seeing is that the initial password dialog comes up but there is only the input fields but no "Submit" or "Change" buttons. In summary, new users are not able to change their password through the Portal.
Any ideas why this might be happening?

No , its not out of box functionality in MDG. Reason being, MDG framework provided some standard API's with the help of which we can do our development with ease.

InfoCube Error Message: Choose a change request with target system BWQ

Hi experts,
I have a problem when I want to edit an InfoCube created by other developer. The error message received is as follow:
"<b>Choose a change request with target system BWQ</b>".
When I click on the Documentation (F9) button, the detailed message is:
"Message no. TK511
Diagnosis
The selected change request BWDK901086 has target system .
However, the objects you edit can only be recorded in change requests with the target system BWQ.
The correct target system is determined from the package and transport layer to which the object concerned belongs.
System response
The selected change request BWDK901086 is not used to record the objects.
Procedure
Either choose a different change request or change the target system of the change request BWDK901086.
From the prompt window for change requests, you can display all requests you can use by choosing Own requests.
Alternatively, you can create a new request by choosing Create request.
For more information, see the SAP Library under BC - Basis Components -> Change and Transport System ."

hi Fullham,
try se09/10 and find request BWDK901086 (use binocular icon) or se03. then double click that request, go to tab 'properties', hope you will see 'Target System' system there, click 'edit'/pencil icon and change it to BWQ.
you may need to change the owner (which may not authorized), ask basis help if necessary.

Generate change request with preset of attributes

Hi experts!
We are launching ChaRM in our company.
Before using ChaRM we have handled change requests with a paper-form. Now we think about using Interactive Forms for normal corrections to keep the users look-and-feel like the old paper form, without manual typing the data into the ticket.
My question is: Is there any way to create a change-request in the solution manager from an abap-program?
I found a function module to create a CR-ticket, its called "SOCM_CHANGE_REQU_CREATE".
It works fine, but I'm able to pass only the ticket-type and the short-discription.
The requirement is to pass other data to the ticket, according to data of the pdf-form,
for example texts and business partners (requestor, reason of the change, and so on...)
Is there any programming interface to realize this?

You cannot cancel a change request with status New.

We're just starting to dive into SCSM. We created a test Change Request and now want to delete / cancel it. When we try, we get a message
"You cannot cancel a change request with status New."
Is there an easy way to remove this?

Hi, a Little late but..
This is a problema from your 3 scsm services, maybe in your principal or secundary server. You must to restart services in an special order and delete application cache.

I think this problem is for bad performance in databases and application, so review your hardware design, and logical, so review workflow performance too.

SAP ABAP/BOBJ Infoview initial password change

Hi all,
We are using BOBJ Crystal Repors and BI for reporting. All authentication and data security is working great including user/role sync from ABAP stack.
My problem is as follows - Say I reset the initial password in the ABAP side for a user id. I log into BOBJ Infoview and the new inital password syncs as expected. However.....the infoview does not promt for the user to change the initial password as the ABAP side or portal would. Now the user maintains the initial password the admin set. Again, our portal or ABAP system forces the user to change the initial password but I can't seem to have the infoview do the same.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Initial password change.. Urgent Please?

Hi All,
    We have an Ep6.0 SP12 installation and CUA as user base for the portal. In the CUA, I added the role SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNIATION for user sapjsf and the xml file used is dataSourceConfiguration_r3_rw.xml.
   now i create a user using portal, i.e. UserAdmin -> create user and am logging in with this userid and password. In the next screen it asks for new password. IT works as expected and thats fine.
but, if I create a user in CUA and when I login into portal with this userid and password. It doesnt ask for password change. Y is it so?

Still some more input, i just went and checked the account history in portal of the two users, created through portal and also in CUA

Not able to assign Project to the Urgent Change Request with Developer Id with the existing Authorizations. With SAP_ALL authorization, everything works fine.

The Urgent Change request is in created status and I am not able to assign project to it. Also I am not able to change the status of the change request to In developement with developer's Id. Everything works fine if i assign SAP_ALL authorization to the developer.

Out of the blue, my apple TV request I input my password, then when I did, it said I input it too many times and to change it (after 1 try) eventually I got on my computer and changed my password, but now my Apple TV still wont let me view anything, even after restarting it, and now I cant see any items in my icloud on my computer either.

Is your phone signed into an old iCloud ID ("email address") and you need to change it to your current ID? Is so, there is a way around this.
Otherwise, you can either try resetting your password at https://iforgot.apple.com or by contacting Apple for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password, or you can back up your phone to your computer instead. To do this, connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes and go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. Then go to File>Devices>Back Up.

Password change from SSH in Cisco Secure ACS 4.1

I am using cisco ACS for windows Release 4.1(1) Build 23 Patch 5.
I have enable password aging for 30 days. after 30 days it is prompting me to change the password while i telnet to any client. it is working fine.\
Recently we have disabled telnet in all network devices and using ssh instead of telnet.
Am not able to change the password from putty. same if i connect through the telnet it is prompting to change the password.
Because of this i am not able to access any network devices after 30 days.
Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Went through this painful exercise a couple
weeks ago. You need to use the IOS 12.4
K9 image on the routers because password change
only supports on ssh version 2. See example

User Password change fails in OWA 2013

User Password change fails in OWA with this error: Your password couldn't be changed. Make sure the old password you typed is correct and that the new password meets the minimum security requirements.
We are migrating from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. Have mailboxes in both environments. OWA 2007 password changes succeed (user mailbox is still in Exchange 2007). When the user mailbox is moved to Exchange 2013, password changes fail
with the above error.
We have the Exch 2013 servers are on Windows 2012 and we are running Exch 2013 CU3. We have made changes to the Default Role Assignment Policy to prevent users from changing Contact information and setting user photos, etc. We are not exactly
sure when user password changes stopped working, or even if they ever did work, although we recently installed our Prod Exch 2013 servers alongside our 2007 servers without any RBAC delegation implemented and a quick test of a user password change was successful.
I reversed all the changes to the Default Role Assignment Policy but the password change still fails.

Please try the following steps in your CAS server:
1. Click Start > Run and type regedit and click OK.
2. Navigate to the "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchange OWA" key.
3. Set the ChangeExpiredPasswordEnabled value from 1 to 0.
4. Close regedit and re-open it.
5. Set the ChangeExpiredPasswordEnabled value from 0 to 1.
6. Close regedit.
7. After you configure this DWORD value, please reset IIS. The recommended method to reset IIS is to use IISReset /noforce from a command prompt.

Better use AT NEW statement
It will do the same function.

All this AT NEW, AT FIRST, AT END OF and AT LAST are called control break statements of Internal tables and are used to calculate the TOTALS based on sertain key fields in that internal table
FIrst to use these statements the ITAB has to be sorted by the key fields on whcih you need the SUM of the fields.
Some time you will get * when mopving data from this int table to other table using these commands

Change Request Management without Transport Management

Hello Change Request Management Experts!
I have understood that It is possible to take change request managment in use without transport management. So I could handle Change Request with different statuses without automatic funtions behind these statuies. We like to see how to handle changes between different roles of people and implement the functions after that.
I suppose that I should take only Change Request (approvals) and not Change Documents (execution) from Change Request Management.
Have any of you tried to do that?

Thank you for your answer. I have tried to do that also but I where is still some configuration missing because I get error message in: No maintenance cycle is open for the current system. I have also tried to to that maintenance cycle but I thought that it needs CTS activation in some project.
I also like to know what is minimun configuration for change management that I could use SDAD with Service Desk.
