Initial sign on as Data Admin - or any other log on pass word

I am trying to log on as admin for 1st time. and get an invalid user name or password error. when i go to forum (here) these work fine. Any help you can give will be very much appreciated! thanks.

My Oracle Support (aka "MetaLink") is Oracle's support site - it is not intended for "trying to use as stand alone to create sql queries". If you mean you need to connect to a database to practice SQL, you will need to install database software and create a database. Pl identify which version of Vista.

Thanks for posting your issue, Just wanted to know have you changed server name using below mentioned command?
stsadm -o renameserver -oldservername oldservername -newservername newservername
I hope, you have not changed your SQL Server name/instance. If changed SQL too. Kindly re-run the configuration Wizard of SQL server to set up Alias.

Lightroom CC crashes on startup and "sign out, sign in" solution doesn't work, any other solutions?

I downloaded LR CC on myMacbookpro and iMac.
LR5 was installed on both of them previously.
After installing, LR CC works fine onM Pro, but keeps crashing on iMac.
I've tried the "sign out, sign in" solution, but never works for me.
Is there any other solution I can try?
Since the update, I've edited photos on my 13' M pro instead of 27' iMac and it is getting annoying...

You can only watch the movie on the device you rented it on. Here's a snippet from the Apple Support site (italics mine):
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.

Text is not copying from InDesign to any other application

Hi.
I'm not able to copy the content from inDesign CS2 to any other application (textEdit, MS-word etc) even I'm fail to import the doc file in to inDesign, while placing the document file in inDesign it keeps the document file inactive.
In past everything was going good but from last months onward I'm facing this problem. Could anybody please help me to resolve, I even re-install the application again.

Choose on Billing document - Header.
Click on Change button.
Select your text procedure.
You can know your procedure by clicking on the tab Text procedure assignment.
Click on Text ID's in Textprocedure.
Select your text id.Check the tick mark under "Refer/Duplicate" field.

I am modifying the Signature email body under workflow in Cutom Translations in Data Admin Tool Kit. When I am trying to write in new line, I am not able to write.
I used HTML tags like \n but then also it is not writing in to new line.It is coming as below.

What is the sql you are using? Is this Sql Server or Oracle?

If it is sql server Ive used the following in the past with SQL Server Studio, and just included the new line/Carriage return in the editor and it worked:

Hi Denise, It seems that your machine is not holding up the activation. Kindly try to following steps.

Now the problem is you have the date value (COL3) in various format. That's messed up. To convert a string into a date format the first thing you need to know is the format of the string. Basically how the string is represented as date. Without knowing that there is no way you can convert a string to date. Said that now you need to device a method to convert string input having various date formats into a date value.
Below is a function that does that. But the problem is that you need to define the possible date formats in that. I have defined 10 date formats (No magic there ).

I just checked your account, and see that it's active. Are you trying to sign in via Adobe Reader? If so, please choose Help > Check for Updates in Reader and make sure that it-s up-to-date. The most current version, 11.0.07, should alleviate that sign-in error.

i just bought a new imac and in the initial install, trying to import the data from older imac. i've tried both firewire and ethernet direct to the older imac (it says it has identified it) and to an external hard drive containing my time machine backups, but the new imac sticks on the "transfer your information" screen calculating both the data and time remaining.
it has been nearly an hour. am i not giving it long enough? any other advice?

Console login by any other user besides Admin

I noticed that if I try to login to the console display with another user besides admin the the login will hang. Also, any other type of login to the system will not work (ssh). I was going to do an oracle database install, which requires the oracle user to be logged in. Does anyone know if there is a way around this restriction?

This isn't a normal restriction - none of my servers prevent any user logging in on the console.
I suspect there's something amiss with your setup - probably in the directory where the OS is trying to load the account data (possibly the home directory data).
Sheck the server logs, especially /var/log/system.log for any directory-based errors.
