Initialization failed!! need help

I have just had to change my network provider after I took my sim card out, I put a new one in but the phone could not read it. I have tried 5 or 6 different Sims and networks but the phone will not read any of them, the fone has been unlocked and is open to any network so can anyone please help me in trying to fix it. All it says when turned on is initialization failed, I have tried resetting it and everything but can't figure it out, plz help me

Initialization failed usually means a problem with the sim card. I know you've tried a few but it's usually a sim card issue, not a device issue.

Hard Drive Failed Need Help!

Hey guys, heres my story. My hard drive failed last week (wouldnt go past white screen), took it to genius bar, they ran Disk Warrior and it seemed to fix it. As a precautionary measure I bought a 1tb external drive and backep up my system via time machine. Today my imac froze and I am having the same problem, wont boot past white screen. I am 2 months out of my warranty and need to know what is the easiest fastest and cheapest fix since I am a college student. Also are any of these options possible?
1) Install OS X as a clean system and use my external HD to load my system.
2) Buy another external HD and boot up from that?
3) Buy another internal HD and have someone install it (not sure how much this would cost though)
If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it.

All 3 of those are possible however #1 and 2 are not favorable. I would suggest to first run a few tests to make sure that your hard drive is actually bad.
1) The first test like Larry suggested is to boot up to your Mac OS install disk, but do not go through the installation process. Instead go to the Utilities Menu at the top and open Disk Utility. If your drive does not show up in the left hand column then the drive is likely bad.
2) Insert the original iMac install disk like in step 1 but this time when you startup hold down the "d" key. This will load up the Apple Hardware Test. Run the Extended test. If it passes everything then this means your computer is ok just the hard drive is bad.
3) However if in step 1 Disk Utility does see the hard drive first try Repairing the Disk. If this fails you might try reformatting the drive and reinstalling Mac OS X as the problem could be an issue with the system software.
4) Which should actually be step 1 is to disconnect all of your external devices like hard drives and see if you still cannot boot. Keep everything disconnected during testing.
The problem is hard drive failures can be intermittent. One minute it works the next minute it doesn't even see a hard drive. Good luck though and let us know how it goes.

Export keeps failing - Need help

Alright, this is the second video in a row that this has happened to me. My computer isnt the fastest so it takes 40 minutes each time I export my 4 min video. Asides from that, whenever I export my videos, the export fails and this is what it says overall.
File importer detected an inconsistency in the file structure of Sequence 01.mp4. Reading and writing this file's metadata (XMP) has been disabled.
Any ideas on what to do? I really need to export this video as soon as possible.

Uncheck the Import Into Project box in the Export Settings dialog. You'll find it directly above the Queue button.
That error message doesn't mean the export failed, though.

C440 Hard drive failed NEED HELP ASAP PLEASE!

SO my c440 lenovo all-in-one Desktop Has had a Hard drive failure i get the error "Error 1962: No operating system found. Press any key to repeat boot sequence." I've had the hard drive looked at and it wont power on or anything. I can buy a new HHD same model ect But how can i get my operating System of Windows 8 back on the New HHD( hard drive)??? i only have the Lenovo drivers Disk

If you didn't make recovery media prior to the HDD failure, which sounds catastrophic, you'll need to contact Support (info below) to discuss obtaining the proper media. There may be an associated cost.

Adobe Media Encoder Fail - need help please

I keep getting a failed error when trying to use Adobe Media Encoder.
I open up my premiere project and select the comp I want. I switch the format to Quicktime, select h.264 from preset. Hit the start button and I get the failed sound/icon.
2 questions:
1. My comp is 1920x1080 but when I go in it automatically has it as 720... why is it not recognizing the comp size?
2. Is there a way to fix this error? It seems to export occassionally to my C drive (which is not raid) but it fails to my F drive (Raid 10). But usually if I export as a wmv or something smaller it exports fine to F.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you I had to go out of town. Error message doesn't say anything to me... maybe to you. I'm not really sure what to set for "Field Type" so I just leave it at Lower. Not sure if I should set it to higher or progressive instead.

i created another infopackage and run manual.

When ever you load master data attributes and hierarchies, before you load the transaction data you would have to run the attribute change run. So if there are any modification in the master data will take effect as well as the cubes, hierarchies and aggregates will be synchronized with the changes happend in the master data.

Freezing at the apple logo; 5 R's failed; need help...

4th gen ipod with color, only 7 mos old, used mostly in the car, been working fine until now abruptly :
1) playing different songs simultaneously (that is, you hear multiple songs overlayed on top of each other; the display showing only a single song playing fine)
2) playing a different song from another playlist - same result
3) trying #2 again - same result
4) holding the ipod in my hand, i can feel the whirring of the hard drive
5) putting the ipod next to my ear, heard a very familiar sound, the sound of a dying hard drive - sound like a disk read error and the hard drive just keep trying infinitely (those with failed external hard drives may know what i'm talking about)
6) tried to reset (i.e the first R) - got to the apple logo and froze
7) tried #6 again - same result
8) tried #6 again - a small folder with an exclamation point (not the big one, the small one) with www.apple.com/support/ipod beneath it flashed briefly (about 1 second) then the apple logo shows and it froze there
9) tried #6 again - same result as #8
10) plugged into the computer and reset ipod (i.e the second R) - same result as #8
11) at this point i gave up on the 5 R's as obviously the rest of the R's won't work
12) i scourged the discussions forum and googled the web but it seems like this is a rare problem and i turned up nothing
i'm considering sending it in for repair. if anyone thinks otherwise or have any tips for this particular problem, please speak up now. thanks in advance.

You gave up after 2 of the 5 Rs? If I did just 40% of everything, I would be in big trouble. Next year, I will only do 40% of my taxes and see what the government thinks. You missed the most important step after trying all other 4. It is restoring the iPod. You may want to look at Knowledge Base Document #60983 on Restoring iPod to factory settings and Knowledge Base Document #61003 on iPod shows a folder icon with exclamation point when you turn it on. I highly suggest going though every method; read it all, implement it all. Do you want to pay a fee if Apple doesn't find anything wrong with it? If they don't find anything wrong with it (and you ship it out) then they will most likely charge you a fee for something you could have done. Restoring your iPod to factory settings will erase all of the data on your iPod, but don't worry! As long as you have all of your media files on your computer; you shouldn't have a problem at all. If you want to just send in your iPod you may want to look at iPod - Service FAQ. You can also bring it to your local Apple Store.

Upgrade from iPhoto 9 to 11 failed, need help

Contrary to my untimely discovery of the  advisory to
not Force Quit if & when the process stalled, I did. Now I'm
advised to upgrade 9, (now gone) to 9.1 before proceeding.
Should I reinstall 9 from the DVD? Will it even install alongside
11 or should I delete 11? Fortunately I have a recent backup of
the iPhoto Library on a separate disk. Please advise the steps

NSS Initialization Failed

I recently installed a fresh copy of Sun Webserver 6.1 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5. After successfully completing the install, I tried to start the administrative server and got the following errors in the log:

failure ( 2980): CORE1227: NSS initialization failed: unknown error -8038: Certificate database: /opt/SUNWwbsvr/alias/https-admserv-hostname-cert8.db

Does anyone have any ideas about what might be the problem? I noticed that the /opt/SunWwbsvr/alias folder was empty. Is that normal? I then tried copying the contents of the alias folder from another server to the machine with the empty alias folder. The problem persisted.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Note: Upgrading to WebServer 7 is not currently an option due to some ancient webapps.

I am having the same issue as well. The admin we had before has left and has not passed on the iPlanet 6.1 webserver Admin console username and password and the Trust Store username and password as well.
How do we reset the Trust Store password and launch the console?

I could find the answer after searching previous posts about this language problem.
Had to change my language in AAM profile and then download PS CS6 again ( english version ).
Then open the actual Photoshop and in preferences > interface you can besides the Dutch also option for English.
restart application and Voila.

Need help iNSTALLING cr2008..GET "FAILED TO REGISTER" ERRORS

I need help regarding installing CR2008/Visual Advantage. I had the evaluation copy of cr2008. My compnay purchased the CR2008 Visual Advantage. Upon calling your customer service, I was told that I had to UN-install the CR2008 evaluation copy then install the CR2008. I did the unstall HOWEVER, when I try to install the CR2008 that we purchased, i get the following error..HR
HR -2147024770-"c:\program files\business objects enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\REPORTCONVTOOL.DLL FAILED TO REGISTER"..
I get more that just that one...I have received this before and based upon this formum, i have delted the regristry in the following using regedit.exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BUSINESS OBJECT ;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\BUSINESS OBJECTS..
Afeter i deleted the keys, I re-boot my pc and try to install the coftware again...BUT I GET THE SAME ERRORS...I have tryied this several times....what am i missing/not doing correctly

I would suggest making sure your machine is clean. Contact support for the steps to fully uninstall CR. For example, here are notes to uninstall previous versions of CR:

Initialization failed.... pls help

first thing this morning, my fone was fine and i sent a message and then after that initialization failed came up, i took out battery and sim, put them back in and rebooted, (a few times), rang vodafone and they said to call to shop with it, went shop and they rang vodafone, no one knows what this means.... vodaone rang me this eve and logged into my computer and updated software for device and computer and said that when it installs it will be fine.... and they will ring me in the morning and if it does not work to bring it into shop again..... dont think i can take much more of this.... all i want to know is what """""" INITIALIZATION FAILED"""""""" mean? Can anyone help pls????
