Initialize the filepath in FileUpload ?

Hello,
Is it possible to initialize the filepath in the inputfield of the FileUpload UIElement ?
I need to do that to upload the content stored at a fixed place on the client computer.
Note: If someone know how i can read the COM serial port on the client, i will appreciate any help.
Thanks

Hi Nguyen,
The Web Dynpro FileUpload element gets rendered to HTML as an INPUT element of form:
<input type="file" />
While the
<input>
element does have a value attribute which can be set to an initial value, this value is ignored by all browsers when the input type is of type file.  This is for security reasons to prevent "stealing" files from a client computer by a combination of HTML and client-side JavaScript.
For this reason, Web Dynpro has no function for setting a file path for the FileUpload element.

    thanks in advance,

    Gary,
    Open Registry Editor.
In Registry Editor, navigate to the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystem
Create the following value (REG_SZ): Working Directory and give it a value that points to the new database folder.
Make sure you back up the registry before you do any changes on it.

The exact error message is: "Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security features." I am on a MacBook and have been using Firefox for years without any problem until now.

Can you access other apps? Can you acess the internet? Can you access applications that use internet besides facebook?
If answer is yes to all of these; contact Facebook.

    Thank you for your reply!
The tutorial emphasizes that I need jdk 1.6 update 11 in order to setup.
The newer release of wl server comes with jsk 1.6 update 14.
    When I tried to run:
    setup -jreLoc C:\Oracle\Middleware\home_11gR1\jdk160_14
    no setup screen appeared.
Next, I setup stand alone jdk 1.6 update 11 and add it to path,
but setup -jreLoc C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_11 failed too, since no setup screen appeared
So I uninstalled version 10.3.2, installed 10.3.1 to follow exactly the tutorial specs.
Does one has to pay oracle consulting, in order to have an installation of soa suite up and running for development?

  • Failed to Initialize the application 'soa-infra'

    Hi,
During installation of SOA 11g, i am facing problem in starting the managed server.
Iam using the following components with versions:
*1. JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.2.0 (Base install)*
    *2. Weblogic Server 10.3.2.0*
    *3. SOA Suite 11.1.1.2.0*
Configured the weblogic sever and initialized successful. I can able to login with weblogic admin console http://localhost:7001/console
But unable to initialize the managed server.
I entered in the command prompt the following line to start the Managed server:
    cd C:\Oracle\Middleware\home_11gR1\user_projects\domains\domain1\bin+
    startManagedWebLogic.cmd soa_server1*
please find the error logs below:

    I had already configured the EM manager and other things while creating domain. I selected the option as follows;
    1. create a new weblogic domain.
    2. generate a domain configured automatically to support the following products.
    (selected the below items)
    oracle soa suite 11.1.1.0
    oracle enterprise manager 11.1.1.0
    oracle BAM 11.1.1.0
    oracle wsm....
    oracle JRF...
All the above steps were shown as successfull till the last.
But facing the problem while starting the severs (only weblogic server started successfully).
    Iam using versions :
    Weblogic Server 10.3.2.0
SOA Suite 11.1.1.2.0 (but the wizard is showing version as 11.1.1.0)
Is this problem is due to version difference?
    Thanx

  • Failed to initialize the network. Check if another instance of agent is

Out of the blue a small number of my Windows XP PCs get the following error
when logging in. Usually appears while login script page is on screen:-
Failed to initialize the network. Check if another instance of agent is
    running. Contact the system administrator
Once XP has loaded ok I can manually start the Remote Management service.
Some PCs are intermittent and don't seem to get it again but a couple get it
every login. I removed the client and reinstalled. I removed the Remote
Management service and re-installed. Re-registered the PC Workstation but no
change for those who get it every day.
    I did find this:-
Failed to initialize the network. Check if another instance of agent is
    running. Contact the system administrator
    Source: Remote Management Agent
    Severity: Critical
Possible Cause: The Remote Management Agent is unable to bind to the IPX or
IP port that is being used for Remote Management service, or the ports are
being used by some other application running on the managed workstation.
Action: Uninstall any third-party remote control agent or remote control
application using these ports from the managed workstation.
Possible Cause: The protocol stack is corrupted.
    Action: Reinstall the protocol stack.
Possible Cause: The managed workstation is not connected to the network, or
    the network is down.
Action: Connect the managed workstation to the network.
I don't have any third party remote control agent installed and I've tried
the refresh of the IP protocol stack. Surprised this has started as we have
not made any changes to the network or software. We run NW Client 4.83sp1
    and NW5.1 sp5.
Anybody else had this and cleared it completely?

    Further developments:
It looks like it's a fault in the nic. it's a Compaq NC3120 Fast Ethernet
card. It used to work, but since I've wiped out the card drivers that were
in use, I'm at HP's mercy. They are telling me that the card is no longer
under warranty and won't even tell me what driver to look for. Anything I've
managed to find has the exact same symptoms:
Client works, ping to IP addresses work, ping to www.yahoo.com (etc) doesn't
work, although winipcfg shows a DNS server the same as every other machine I
    have.
Internet explorer doesn't work, even with IP addresses to local servers.
    And of course, zenrc32 doesn't work, wsreg32 doesn't work.
Does anyone know of a way of making the NC3120 work on a win98 machine?
Shall I just go buy a couple dozen netcards from a more reputable company
    than compaq?

    Hi Krikar,
    Make sure -
    1. IP is correct.
    2. Specified port is not in use
For getting the ports-in-use list, follow below link -

If the port is already in use how to find which server is running on that port, how to find the process and kill it. I am using weblogic 8.1 sp4 in Solaris 8.

    Bruce:
It sounds like (as you already note) failed to shutdown WLS, that is why the
.loc file was held and why the port is in use, WLS process was still
running. To see why it failed to shut down, I would examine the
weblogic.log, aslo the servers std out and err. Additionally taking a
thread dump (if possible) on the "it wont shut down" wls java process should
show (maybe unless the VM is hosed), where/what is hanging on/around. Do
you happen to have native code running with wls, say a type 2 JDBC driver?
Otherwise it sounds like a VM bug. But more data is needed to be sure.
    Cheers

I was shutting down the WLS server using the console shutdown and itfailed to shutdown completely. I then attempted to use the kill command on
the process which usually works. This time I was unable to kill the process
without using the kill -9 command. When I attempted to bring the server
back up I got a failure to get a lock on the embedded ldap. I removed the
.loc file and came further up but was unable to get further than the
listener ports which were still locked to the old process. Do you know of
anything I can do the get the WLS server back up without rebooting my
    Solaris server????
netstat -an shows the port is in use but the only process that is alloweduse that port is WLS.

  • Unable to initialize the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service because the clocks on the client and on the server machine are skewed

Each time I restart this exchange server, the Information Store and System Attendant don't start. If It try to manually start the services, I get the follow errors:
    Event ID 5003:
Unable to initialize the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service because the clocks on the client and on the server machine are skewed. IPv6 had been disabled for months on my SBS 2008 Server running Exchange 2007 SP1.  I ran 40 or so Windows Updates; subsequently, the next morning Exchange was no longer running; topology issues, event ID 2604, 2114 and 2601 were all over my Application
Log.  After 12 hours of research I found this post; figured it was worth a shot and instantly all my services for Exchange fired up.  Thanks for the tip; I have no idea which update changed what in regards to needing IPv6 enabled, but that silly
    little check mark fixed it.
Thank you for sharing your solution!

Firefox will not open any site. I am using a MacBook. The hard drive is not full. I recently had to start using a vpn to get remote access to my desktop at work. Then it wouldn't load so I had to install something to trick it into accepting the vpn. I do not recall what this was as I got this from a person at our helpdesk at work. I hadn't had any trouble for several days, then all of a sudden, Firefox won't open anything, no websites, no email, etc. I have been using Safari as so far it seems to be working. I do not wish to continue to use Safari and for portions of my job, I need to download things and using Firefox is the only browser that works with the software program I am using.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
