Initialize- then nothing happens
I just upgraded from OS 9.2.2 to OSX Tiger, thinking this would improve my recording life, but now nothing works! I have the minimum requirements for GB2, and have cleaned almost everything else out of my hard drive and reinstalled ILife, as suggested by a genius at the Apple Store near me. Still, GB refuses to launch, hovers at the "Initializing" window, and then quits. What can I do? I refuse to think that my computer is now obsolete (I was running and recording with Logic Platinum 5.5 in OS9 and in recorded fine- little latency or other problems).
I'm frustrated that I bought ILife only for this GB program, and now it doesn't even launch. Can somebody help me, please?

What is the processor speed of your Powerbook G4?
How much RAM does it have?
Unfortunately GarageBand on Mac OS X is going to require a great deal more computer horsepower than Logic Platinum 5.5 on Mac OS 9.2.2.
Don't panic; there are ways to maximize the use of the hardware you have. Just report back here with some details and we'll see if we can help you out.
Don't forget--if your PowerBook G4 could boot into Mac OS 9.2.2 before you upgraded, then you can still choose to boot into Mac OS 9.2.2 instead of Mac OS X and work with Logic Platinum 5 like you did before.
Even if Mac OS X is only useful to you for web surfing and email on your older G4, you're going to like it a lot.

My iTunes won't update on my computer. I have windows vista. I can open up itunes and when I click on "check for updates" it asks if I want to download iTunes version 11.1.5 and I click "Download iTunes" but then nothing happens. Sometimes uptop the loading bar will appear but for only a split second. I have tried restarting, shutting down, I cannot figure out why it won't download. What's happening and how do I fix it?

Same thing here. I'm getting very frustrated. When I swipe phone to open, and hit the phone icon, then make a call, most times it says "calling mobile" but then nothing happens. Then I try to end the call and hit the END button. Sure, it looks like the call disconnected, but as soon as I try to make another call, I see the same screen (the first called) and the words "calling mobile". The only way I can rememdy this, naturally, is powering off and restarting. But, c'mon...$300 for a phone that you have to power down between calls???
I've got the latest OS update, no jailbreak, or anything exotic on my 4s. What's more, when I try to make a call 2 out of 3 times, the dumb SIRI opens up and stops me from making the call. (and, yes, I have very carefully checked my process that I am not intentionally activating SIRI with my cheek.)
Again, $300 for all this in just trying to make a call?reset your phonr by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

While updating my apps, I lost my wi-fi connection. I have since tried to update the apps several times...but none of them are updating. Each time I try to update the apps, I enter my password, but then nothing happens. Thank you - Chris
Hold the power button and the home button down until the screen goes black and the apple logo appears. This will do a reset and you should be able to update your apps then.

I am unable to install itunes. I get the pop-up asking if I want to save or cancel the iTunes64 file. I click save... and then nothing happens. Help!
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -
i am trying to update my ipod touch to 4.3.3. Itunes says it needs to be updated to 10.3.1 to do this, so i click update and then nothing happens.

Hello. When I connect my imac Start, as usual, comes the start signal and then the white screen with the load signal then nothing happens. What could be the problem?
Presuming you get the chime, most of your Mac hardware is working and has passed the first part of the power-on self-test.
If the screen comes on, basic graphics is working.
The dark gray Apple is not present inside the Mac -- it must be loaded from a boot device. If the dark gray Apple appears, at least one of your boot devices has some capabilities. The flower petal/gear moves while Darwin is initializing and loading. If it stops immediately, something is terribly wrong.
When the screen turns blue, Mac OS X has loaded and your graphics card transitions to Interrupt-driven operation. LoginWindow task draws the login screen, and Mac OS X is ready for login.
What could be the problem depends on where in the process it stops, and whether the power light is blinking. -

Issue updating to CS6. Extracts files and then nothing happens.
I went on the Adobe site, selected to update to CS6, downloaded the Akamai Downloader as requested, clicked download the bundle, the files extract, the window closes and then nothing happens.
As a work around please use a direct download link instead of the download manager by using the links on this page: Download CS6 products (you might have to change the language at the bottom depending on your country)

When I try to install Mavericks from the App Store, the timer moves and then nothing happens. When I first attempted to download Mavericks onto my 2009 15" macpro the program started to download and then seemingly froze up- my partners started after mine and then finished on her 2010 13" macpro... I have gone back several times to the store, restarted my system and am getting nothing... Perhaps Ill try again tomorrow?
If you have an iPod with iOS 3.1.3 then it is due to an Apple problem.

My iTunes is not able to sync the iPhone 4. I'm using windows 7 32bit. At the first step it gets stuck refelcting backing up the phone then nothing happens for ages. I'm using the latest iTUnes version, does anyone have similar prob??? There are no error codes which appear and the iTUNES just gets hanged, is there a solution?
Remove the song in question from the sync list and see if the rectifies the problem.
If it does, then iTunes believes the song no longer exists on your drive and that will need to be corrected. -

I did it and it works for me So, I think I should share this so people who have faced the same issue as I can give it a try.
Basically, Just uninstall the Photoshop and Creative Cloud, then rename the folder SLCache to SLCache_old. Restart your computer once and then re-install everything again. (CC and PS)
