Ink new, message says empty on Photosmart D7160

Photosmart D7160  I have changed to new ink twice, cleaned print heads, printed test patterns and alignment pages. 
I have unplugged the power, turned off the printer, no help.  Message still says change cartridge. 
Printer will finally print a page at a time if I click “continue” on the computer screen and click “ok” on the printer. The only ink used in this machine has been HP, bought fresh - not old ink.  Please help, I cannot print pictures at all.

I just have the same problem:
New HP original ink cartridges, with expiration date in June 2012, installed when getting the "cannot print", empty cartridge...blabla.
And the "cannot print" error still remains!
And, even if Black ink is not empty, no way to print in Black&White mode! (was possible before when a color was empty...but now impossible!)
I saw that the same error exists on various Photosmart models and looks like a microcode bug as some key stroke sequences are possible on some models to reset the wrong status register of the printer... but it seems that for D7160, no solution exists...
I'm now waiting for a call back of HP support. Let's see what's the official report stays: I hope that answer is not "purchase a new printer !". If this is the case, I'll move to another manufacturer, as this kind of problem is just coming from HP idea to to implement complex systems to ensure that end-user purchases new HP ink cartridges, even if not empty...
(But all manufacturer are doing the same, so in fact, no way to escape!)

    I am having the same problem with my DeskJet F4135. I've used and loved this printer for 2 years now. I've changed print cartridges before with no problem. Now the print queue says the cartridge is empty but there is a new 3rd party one in. The color and black lights are flashing and there is a steady E showing. I am using Win98 Media. The printer is hooked up correctly. I can't scan to try to align the print head....pushing the button accomplishes nothing and the lights still flash. I've turned the printer off and on. Reconnected the cords. Re-seated the cartridges.
    My software has never worked correctly so I can't go in to it and check properties. I also can't find anywhere on the HP site where I can download new software except for diagnostic software which says the printer is fine. And that my drivers and software are up to date.

    Changed the ink cartridges and got Ink system failure.  Unable to print.  Error: Oxc18a0101 Printer not that old and not used that much.  Turned power off then on again did not help.  Unplugged power and USB also did not help. Looking for help!!!

    1- Turn off power and unplug from power source.
    2- Open right side of printer (looking at the front).
    3- Disconnect,by pulling gently, both white flat ribbon cables off the main circuit board.
    4- Plug in power source and turn printer on. Wait till you get a error message and push "Ok".
    5- Unplug power source.
    6- Reconnect the flat ribbon cables by aligning and carefully pushing into the conectors on the main circuit board.
    7- Plug in power source and turn printer on (Printer preparing occurred).

  • Computer authorized but message says it is not

    Trying to burn playlist to disk, get message that 2 songs are not authorized.  When I attempte to authorize, new message says "already authorized.

    Is it possible that those two songs were purchased using a different iTunes Store account (Apple ID), not the one you are currently using to log in to the iTunes Store?  If so, even if your computer is authorized for the current Apple ID, it may not authorized for the other one.
    You can check the songs.  Select the song in a list (in iTunes) and do a Get Info (from a right-click).  In the Info window, go to the Summary tab.  The purchase information should be there, including name and Apple ID used.
    NOTE:  This should only be a problem with older iTunes Store purchases, because they had DRM (copy protection).

    downloaded the latest itunes now when i try to open itunes just get error message saying "new itunes library"

    Try this approach:
    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
    Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
    See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
    When you get it all working make a backup!
    If that doesn't work go into the Control Panel for progams and try to repair the iTunes installation, or remove it and then reinstall.

  • Firefox will download some of the new messages. Hang and eventualy say no new messages. Run again and several messages will download and mess up again.

    This happened some time after I cleaned up and deleted many old emails. The reason I did this is the system was really slow downloading messages.
    Shortly after that it would say I had 300 messages download a random number. 1,50,200 etc then stop. Saying no new messages.
    My server provider is ATT Uverse. I checked the mail server changing to the latest recommeded settings for the sbcglobal.net domain. Problem is still there.
    I configured Outlook on my computer for the first time. Outlook works perfectly. Thunderbird does not.
    I first noticed the problems a couple of weeks ago. Got worse after cleaning up old emails late last week.
    I have compacted all the folders and rebuilt the index. Tried safe mode worked once second try same problem.
    Stopping MCaFee did not help ether

    Turning off Real Time Email Attachment scanning fixed the problem.
    I turned the Mcafee Fire wall back on and the plugin . Will experiment to see what if it is just the Attachment Scanning or if the other parts need to be disabled also.

    Apps menu of creative cloud is empty. Just has a message saying download error. It gives me a button for downloading creative cloud (which I already have installed!). If I try and install any app, I get the same error.
    I initially installed creative cloud on a different machine that subsequently crashed and I migrated over to a new Mac. I had trouble getting creative cloud to work, initially, but I can't download any apps (as I had done on the previous machine before it crashed).
    Any ideas?

    Where is it you're checking the ink levels?
    What operating system is on your computer?
    Are you still able to print or is it giving an error related to the ink?
    Once I have this information I can look further into things for you!

  • Upgraded to Firefox 4 now can not access my inbox in email. Error message say I have undefined new mails in the inbox

    Downloaded update toi mFirewfox 4. ISP is Talktalk. Can open My mail and get to screen with inbox but page seems to stopp loading then as it doesa not show amount of space being used etc which it normally does. Instead message says 'You have undefined new mails in your inbox' Nothing then happens and the button to open the inbox does not work. Can however access my email and inbox through Outlook express.
