  • Photosmart C5180 all in one not copying and or printing

My Photosmart C5180 all in one-- will not print material from my computer. It will not copy either.
I did a print test from my computer's solution software and a nice picture of 2 pears came out fine
in living color. I did an extended self test diagnostic - 2 pages--and the headings (product information, etc)
printed out fine in black and blue ink---but the info under each heading printed really really light - not readable.
When I try to print from my computer I get a blank page. When I try to copy something it sounds like it
is printing, but the paper is blank.  Thanks for the help.

  • After installing Snow Leopard I can no longer "save photos on computer" after inserting a memory stick to an HP Photosmart C5180 All in 1                                                                                           Photosmart C5180 All in one

    Hello,
When I insert a memory stick into my HP Photosmart C5180 All in one and I try to "save photos on computer" the printer reads: "You need to install device software". This all started happening after I installed Snow Leopard on my Mac 10.6.8. Can someone please advise on what I need to do?

Typically it's a good idea to uninstall any devices attached to the Mac before doing an upgrade.  This prevents problems that can be caused by the upgrade.  Below are the instructions for uinstalling and reinstalling the printer.  I'm also going to include a link to the full feature software and drivers for the printer.  Let me know what happens.

  • Ink System Failed error on Photosmart All in One C7180

I have a Photosmart All in One C7180.  I am getting the Ink System has failed....Error: 0xc05d0281 message.  I have tried all of the suggested solutions to make this go away but it seems to be a hardware failure.  Is this something that can be fixed/replaced or is the printer history?  I don't want to pay for an HP service call if this is not something that can be fixed/replaced.  Thank you for any help

  • Wireless radio is not functioning fails diagnostics HP Photosmart 309a All In One

    Can't find printer on network.
was set up and working fine previously. Have run diagnostics and rebooted systems following HP manual.
Diagnostic test shows wireless radio fail and show critical : Action required. Contact HP support.
    Warrantee is expired on printer

I have exactly the same problem. I just spoke with HP Tech Support. It sounds like we are out of luck.
Our machines have evidently conked out as far as the wireless radio is concerned. She offered me
a trade in swap for a 410 for about $179.00 with a free set of ink worth $53. I am still thinking about it.
It may be worth buying a new one and keep this one for a back up. Everything else still works including the Fax
    features.
    good luck !

  • Photosmart C5810 all-in-one

I received an email from HP about downloading the Print & Scan Doctor. I tried downloading it & received message: download failed. I tried 3 times both with firewall enabled and without firewall enabled. I still haven't been able to download any updates to my printer drivers. The printer has been working just fine. I haven't done any updates that I know of so I thought it was about time to see if there were any updates. I get a message that says there's a later version which is what initiatd my attempt to download. My computer is a HP Pavillion P6000 Series. Thank you for any help you can offer.

    Hello @vreynolds,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I would like to assist you today with the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool update notification that you received on your Windows 7 computer for your HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-One Printer. The HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool is used as a diagnostics tool only. If you have issues Printing or Scanning from your HP Photosmart than you can run the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. The Tool will look for any driver, software, or connection conflicts and resolve such conflicts for you.
To manually download the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool please click here.
In regards to any programming Firmware Updates for your HP Photosmart, there are none available. Due to the age of your machine you will likely not see any new Updates available for your printer as it is obsolete. If you would like to look at all the drivers that are available for your machine please click here. The only Updates I can find for your printer are software patches. These are only required if you're experiencing issues with printing or scanning on your computer. Because you are not experiencing issues I wouldn't recommend running any patches at this time. No sense in fixing something that isn't broken.
Please let me know if manually downloading the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool works for you. I look forward to hearing from you!

  • HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-one problem printing. Ink System Failure has failed unable to copy--

I'm having a problem printing on my HP Photosmart C7280 All-In-One. The following message is what came up on the printer screen: Ink System Failure has failed unable to copy, receive faxes or print. Refer to printer documentation Error O.cl9a0007.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    This question was solved.

Hey Spider! First off welcome to the forum.
I would recommend removing all the ink cartridges, unplugging the USB cable from the computer that connects to the printer, and then shutting the printer off completely by removing the power cord. Then restart your computer. Turn the printer back on but leave it disconnected from the computer. After it has finished its power on cycle go ahead and insert the ink cartridges back into the printer and be sure to seat them properly.
After you have all the cartridges back in the printer properly then connect it to the computer. See if this resolves the issue. If not post back with any findings.
    Thanks,
    SeanS

  • B8850's new ink system fails to print bold blacks!

I just came from the three ink system of the 8750 Photosmart Printer using Matte HP Premium Plus Photo Papers and my blacks were deep and bold. Using the same paper and trying numerous variations of print settings, I simply can not attain the same blacks!
I haven't found any reviews which point this unnaceptability out so I hoped to be the first to warn potential buyers that the B8850 is a second rate product.
If someone has a secret formula, perhaps, for obtaining the exact results gotten with the 8750 and it's ink system, I would love to become enlightened!
    Best.

I can't help with your ink problems, but
I have a Photosmart 335 Photo Printer and live in NZ.  I want to buy some Premium Plus Photo Paper 6x4, and I haven't found anyone in this "neck of the woods" who supplies this paper.  Can anyone help?  Pat
