  • Ink System Failed error on Photosmart All in One C7180

I have a Photosmart All in One C7180.  I am getting the Ink System has failed....Error: 0xc05d0281 message.  I have tried all of the suggested solutions to make this go away but it seems to be a hardware failure.  Is this something that can be fixed/replaced or is the printer history?  I don't want to pay for an HP service call if this is not something that can be fixed/replaced.  Thank you for any help

  • Ink system failed D7360 18a0207

I am getting the Oxc18a0207  ink system error on my printer.  I have changed all of the ink and unplugged it and tried a few things but it will not fix.  Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?  I keep getting conflicting ideas and am very frusterated.  Any help would be great!  Thank you!

    Hey @brendab1!
Thanks for chatting on the HP forums!
Sorry to hear about the frustrations regarding the Photosmart D7360 and the ink system failure issue.  There are not very many steps to try  regarding this error message.
The first thing I suggest is to plug the printer into the wall outlet directly if it is currently in a power surge protector or extension cord. This may sound silly but this will ensure the printer is getting full power and may eliminate any unnecessary troubleshooting. If the printer is no longer getting full power from the power surge or extension cord it may give false errors, have poor connection, paper feed issues and quality issues.
You can also try removing the cartridges and manually cleaning their copper electrical contacts.  To clean the contacts you will want to use a lint free cloth that is slightly dampened with distilled or bottled water.  Once the cartridges are removed, unplug the power to the printer wile the cartridge door is open.  With the power removed, clean the copper contacts in the printer. Once everything is cleaned install the cartridges, close the cartridge door and plug the power back in.  The printer should turn back on.  Check to see if you still get the error.
If you're still experiencing the issue you may want to contact our phone support regarding warranty or possible repalcement options.  Please call our technical support at 1-800-474-6836. • Error: 0xc05d0281 ink system failed

    Hi,
I have an HP 3310 all-in-one which until last weekend performed flawlessly. I then received the above error message.
I have tried pulling out the ink cartridges, per other post suggestions without any success. I am running it on a wireless network at my home using windows 7. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend using the following document to troubleshoot your issue.
An Alphanumeric Code (Example: '0x...' or 'C2...') or 'Ink System Failure' Error Message Displays on...
Try those steps and report back to me if they help to resolve your issue or not.

  • B8850's new ink system fails to print bold blacks!

I just came from the three ink system of the 8750 Photosmart Printer using Matte HP Premium Plus Photo Papers and my blacks were deep and bold. Using the same paper and trying numerous variations of print settings, I simply can not attain the same blacks!
I haven't found any reviews which point this unnaceptability out so I hoped to be the first to warn potential buyers that the B8850 is a second rate product.
If someone has a secret formula, perhaps, for obtaining the exact results gotten with the 8750 and it's ink system, I would love to become enlightened!
    Best.

I can't help with your ink problems, but
I have a Photosmart 335 Photo Printer and live in NZ.  I want to buy some Premium Plus Photo Paper 6x4, and I haven't found anyone in this "neck of the woods" who supplies this paper.  Can anyone help?  Pat

☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

  • HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-one problem printing. Ink System Failure has failed unable to copy--

I'm having a problem printing on my HP Photosmart C7280 All-In-One. The following message is what came up on the printer screen: Ink System Failure has failed unable to copy, receive faxes or print. Refer to printer documentation Error O.cl9a0007.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    This question was solved.

Hey Spider! First off welcome to the forum.
I would recommend removing all the ink cartridges, unplugging the USB cable from the computer that connects to the printer, and then shutting the printer off completely by removing the power cord. Then restart your computer. Turn the printer back on but leave it disconnected from the computer. After it has finished its power on cycle go ahead and insert the ink cartridges back into the printer and be sure to seat them properly.
After you have all the cartridges back in the printer properly then connect it to the computer. See if this resolves the issue. If not post back with any findings.
    Thanks,
    SeanS

  • Photosmart 6180 all-in-one printer with error meesage "Ink System has failed"

The printer is 3 years old and has been working fine until this week.  I now receive a 0xc1820206 error code after the "Ink System has failed" message appeared.  I tried unplugging the power cord and removing all the cartridges.  Unfortunately, after completing the instructions from the troubleshooting section and turning the printer back on, I immediately receive the error message again before I submit any print job.  Does anyone know what specifically the error code means or have anything else I can try like cleaning printheads or something? The printer is attached to an Apple Imac with the snow leopard operating system MAC 10.6
    Thank you for any suggestions.

The likely issue is the "plumbing" rather than the electronics.  There are various pumps and tubing that make up the ink delivery system.  Performing a reset as shown here may resolve the issue.
