  • I-phone device not recognised in i-tunes, but is on windows. All Apple support advice does not resolve problem

My i-phone 3GS with latest operating system is not recognised in i-tunes, howver windows XP does see the device. I have tried all Apple support reccomendations to no avail. There was an error message when last syncing the device with i-tunes, I have uninstalled / re-installed etc and the device is recognised on other PC's i-tunes?

I have the same problem too. My phone wont show on my pc that's why I can't move my photos. But it does show on itunes.
Then I went to device manager and this is what I found. I dont know what to do though.

    Hi,
I am interested to use Thuraya Vehicle Docking Kit (By SatCom) in my project. My hardware contains a PIC microcontroller (Having host USB support). I want to interface this Thuraya Set to the PIC controller using USB and want to develop an embedded application which will configure the Thuraya Set and will make me able to use Thuraya Set as phone. But the problem is that I could not get any technical low level details or commands as you shown in your question. Could you please help me in getting this USB Interface details. I am anxiously waiting for your reply. If you are not the concerned one just let me know about the persons dealing for this.

  • Phone not recognised following iOS 5 upgrade

Following iOS5 upgrade to iPhone 4, iTunes (Win7 x64) will l not recognise the Phone. It displays
"The software required for this iPhone is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes to install the required software".
I have redownloaded and completely re-installed iTunes and Recovered the phone but the message persists.
    What should I do?

Unfortunately, it's up to the app writer to make his/her app iOS5 compliant. I'd suggest finding the app's troubleshooting or contact info and letting them know there's an issue. If they're non-responsive, then you can look for another one. It's entirely possible that they don't even know there's an issue.

  • New replacement phone not recognising simcard

  • Lost account information - phone not recognised

My PC recently crashed resulting in me having to reinstall Windows XP.
Since doing this, I am unable to sign into my iTunes account - I enter my login name and password but get a message saying that it has not been possible to connect me.
My iTunes library is stored to an external hard drive. Also my iPhone is not showing up on iTunes and I am unsure of how to resolve these issues.
Can anyone help please? My phone is unusable until I get this sorted.
    Many thanks,
    John

That's normal. The music on the iPhone cannot be played on your computer, and the iPhone content always shows up as 'grayed out' when viewed in iTunes. This is different from the way iPods behave - you can play an iPod's music on the computer, just not the iPhone's.

  • PLEASE HELP ME!! Ipod not recognised in i-tunes or by computer

My pod used to be recognised!! No probs, but now for some reason there is no "device" tab at the side and no recognition of it anywhere. But it still charges when plugged in?! I have tried the 5 Rs (as much as I can- can't do the last one because there is no device tab). I have tried to change the letter after reading someone else's Q, but the i-pod wasn't even located there. What is happening??? Any help is very much appreciated!
P.S- I am using a lap-top- but have tried the steps contained in support but that also didn't work.
    HELP PLEASE!!

Try to change the drive letter again, as describe here *[Change Drive Letter|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1493]* but, before you connect the ipod, try this to make it show in Disk Management:
    Open iTunes
Select Edit-Preferences - leave the preference window open in iTunes
Then connect the ipod and follow the steps to change the drive letter.
