INMA Advertising Format Specification

I  absolutely love Adobe products. AdobeCC is excellent for my business.
I'm a designer and make my living as such and Adobe takes the hassle out of making web content.
....until a few days ago. Used a number of hours to create a nice responsive web banner with Adobe Edge Animate.
Shipped it of for rotation on the preferred website and received a cold response a few days later.
"We notice this banner is made with Adobe Edge! Please refer to our spec (link) and make sure that html5-banners in the future is hard coded with text edit.
Any deviation from this, will make our website explode, and tablets within 5ft of your ridiculous make believe java script, melt."
AAARRGG!!!
As much as I would like to be able to hard code anything using any given programing language, I don't have the TIME!
My clients don't give a crap about how their web banner came to be, and frankly, neither do I. I'm here to finish the task, make the money and move on!
Give me a ******* brake!
.....I'm sorry.... I just had to blow off some steam.
Are Adobe Edge generated html5 and INMA-compliant ads really that far apart?
Have any of you guys experienced something similar?

Why Acrobat x professional is changing the text formatting specifically the font family  and the font size of the text in my pdf on exporting it to Microsoft word file format ?How should i stop Acrobat x professional from doing that so that i get an exactly same word file on exporting it from its pdf counterpart?

I was testing the preciseness & efficiency of Adobe acrobat x professional's doc conversion capabilities. As i have to take a document editing project in future which is going to need lot of pdf to word and vice versa conversions . What I did was I created a test word document converted into a pdf using a pdf maker in my word 2007 , Acrobat did convert the document from word to pdf keeping everything in the source file intact , However when i tried the other way round and attempted to convert the same pdf to word 2007 file format I lost my formatting ?So the font that I used to create the pdf are the ones taken from word 2007 which i believe is using the fonts that are installed in my computer. Any suggestions on how to preserve the formatting of the document after converting it from pdf to word file format?

  • Illustrator file format specifications

Where I can found the illustrator file format specifications?

Monika is right. There is no public documentation on the file format. It's proprietary and only AI itself can read and write it 100% correctly. Corel claim to have reverse-engineered the CS3 AI format, but I can't tell you how well it works, if at all. You can of course still find enough info on the legacy AI 88 format, which was the last time the format spec was publicly available, but it's a completely different thing from today's AI files....

  • Where to find .abr (brushes) file format specification

    Hi there,
I've found the "Adobe Photoshop File Formats Specification" in the documentation (http://www.adobe.com/devnet-apps/photoshop/fileformatashtml/).
But unfortunately it does not contain the spec for .abr brush file format.
Any ideas where to find this?
    Thanks
    Mirko

I don’t believe the current format is documented. It has a bunch of serialized ActionDescriptors inside, so documenting it fully and explicitly would probably be pretty difficult. If you use Photoshop’s code for parsing the ActionDescriptors though, you should be able to reverse engineer the format without impossible levels of effort – might take a couple days or something.

  • Psd file format specification how get the pixel values

    Hello
I'm trying to convert psd to xml and get all information from layers
I already got all necessary  info  but for example  the radius  in rounded rectangle is in math double format but I need to have it in pixels.
I'm using Adope photoshop file format specification but  there is no information how to convert double values to pixels,
The same is with colors that also given in double.
I need to know how to convert these values to actual values
    Thanks

    Hi,
You can't do that. You have to format the numbers before you print them. Take a look at the decimal format class:

  • BGP Advertisement to Specific AS Number

HOw to setup BGP so it will not get advertised to specific AS.
    Example:
My BGP AS 1000 and i peer with AS 2000 and 3000. I want to tell BGP AS 2000 not to advertise to AS 100, and 200.
Or i want to advertise my blocks to all internet but i want to make sure AS 100 and 200 wont have my prefix in the BGP table.
    thanks

    Hello,
Create a "peer-group" where you will add those two AS to the peer-group. And apply "mhnedirli" solution above...
    and use :
    neighbor <peer-group-name> route-map BLOCK out

  • 4F4 File Format Specification

Is there a file format specification document available for the 4F4 file format? The HTTP Dynamic Streaming product page has a link titled "Learn about the F4F file format specification" but the link leads to the FLV/F4V file format specification document.

It looks like F4M is a XML-based metadata protocol for video. I'm looking for F4F, which is a encapsulating protocol to divide FLV/F4V containers into fragments and segments.
Check out this packet dump from Limelight's demo site. This is a response with content type video/f4f, which seems to wrap a f4v file (moof/mfhd/traf keywords are visible, are these related to moov/mvhd/trak?).

  • PRC Format specification

    Dear All,
can anybody tell me what happens to PRC specification?
Some format specification used to be online at Adobe and more was promised,
    but instead everything disappeared :(
Did it move somewhere, were any explanations given
(like it was decided not to open the format /
it will not be published until documentation/SDK is better then the one of semi-failed U3D /
it is now buried in an undisclosed location in SDK)?
Any general info is also welcome - does adoption of PRC mean that Adobe is not going to support U3D edition 4?
That last version of U3D standard made some steps in PRC direction (like NURBS support).
    Sincerely, Michail

There is an answer here about PRC specification: http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b4a5f1

I just wanted to know what your thoughts are on the following issue that I have. I have an internal Router that receives various subnets of the 10.0.0.0/8 from internal core routers via an IGP. I have an IPBGP peering with a WAN router which has a static route 10.0.0.0/8 pointing back.
I need to advertise a specific subnet say 10.64.0.0/10. from the internal router to the WAN router who will then advertise to an EBGP peer.
However, when I do this I lose connectivity to the WAN router because it seems it ignores the 10.0.0.0/8 in favor of 10.64.0.0/10 because it is more specific.
I have added 10.0.0.0/10, 10.64.0.0/10 & 10.128.0.0/10 as static routes to the WAN router and I no longer lose connectivity. Any ideas of a better
    solution ?

Yes but the original problem was that without the additional subnets you had static entries for you lost connectivity.
And you said it was because 10.64.0.0/10 was more specific.
But that is irrelevant because a static route will always be in the routing table unless you are modifying the AD.
Which means regardless of whether you are advertising a more specific subnet with BGP it makes no difference from the WAN routers perspective unless the subnet you are advertising via BGP is using a different next hop IP.
What is the next hop IP for the 10.0.0.0/8 static route on the WAN router ?
And what is the next hop IP for the 10.64.0.0/10 BGP route on the WAN router ?
Note not the static route you added but the BGP route.

  • AI files format specification

    Hello!
I am looking for modern AI file format specification. In some old topics I saw that all specifications later than this one http://http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/illustrator/sdk/AI7FileFormat.pdf are proprietary. Are they still being in secret? If so, are there any tools from Adobe that can be used in my application to parse AI files?
    Thanks in advise,
    Stas.

None I'm afraid I know there's a library out there for reading PDF files (super expensive to license!) because we were considering that at one point. I seem to recall that we were directed to it when we asked Adobe about it, so maybe they have some help from Adobe, or at least their blessing. Maybe there's someone out there doing an AI library as well (if not the same people).

  • Freehand File Format Specifications

    Hi,
Trying to locate file format specifications for Freehand 9,
10 and MX files. From what I've seen on the 'net, they weren't made
availabe to the public by Macromedia.
With Freehand considered "dead" by Adobe, why couldn't Adobe
release the format specs? Surely this can't be a big deal to the
    Macromedia people at Adobe anymore.
    Thanks, wbjethro2

WOW! I'm an old school Freehand user ( since V2.0) and just
discovered this Forum and that FH is now in the clutches of Adobe.
So they are gonna kill it this time huh? As some of you may know,
this is an old saga for sure. Yes. Adobe has been trying to kill FH
for years and now they get to do it. I just hope Illfrustrator has
evolved in the past few years. Anyway, I concur with the theory of
paranoia at Adobe. They don't want to face a Ghost of Freehand past
that they will have to buy out again. I just can't believe thier
Illustrator developers couldn't just improve Freehand, rather than
improving Illustrator with Freehand code ;) Hey has Photoshop
evolved into something better since 6 or is it BloatWear by now?

  • Plist strings to UILabel: formatting specific words in the text?

    Developers,
I have a UILable populated by a plist string. I would like the UILabel to display text, with specific words in bold format.
I have looked around for a solution to this problem, but I haven't found anything useful on the net.
    Is this possible?
I have been thinking that this could be done by using a key (e.g. stars around a word *word1*) that identifies particular words within the plist string to be formatted. An if statement could then be used to filter through which words should be formatted, within each string. I'm not sure if this would work or how i would implement it, which is why i turn to you for your experience and advice.

Any single instance of UILabel can only have one font, one text color, etc. There's no way to draw one letter or word differently from any other.

As always, you're on the right track, James. In fact if you extend your idea to include syntax for italics, underlines, superscripts, etc., then add font family, point size and text color, then add various paragraph styles, you'll be well on your way to inventing what's known as "rich text".
So the web search keys you needed were "UILabel UITextView rich text". I think the two most common solutions to your requirement are: (1) If the text is static, put the words in separate labels; (2) The recommended, and most general solution: Use UIWebView in place of UILabel.
No. 2 isn't as kinky as it might seem, even if you've never used HTML (the most widely known example of rich text). Here's a short blog that's probably enough to get you going: [Display Rich Text Using a UIWebView|http://iphoneincubator.com/blog/windows-views/display-rich-text-using -a-uiwebview]. The responses on that page include some good tips too.

  • TIFF Format Specification Question

This isn't a Java-specific quesiton, but I was hoping someone here would be able to help as I have tried numerous other avenues already.
Im working with (TIFF) images that have multiple layers, and each layer can have different min/max values. I want to store these min/max values for each layer in the .tiff file, in the SMinSampleValue and SMaxSampleValue tags. So if I have 3 layers I need to write 3 mins and 3 maxes down.
    The documentation for SMinSampleValue/SMaxSampleValue says:
Note that a value should be given for each data sample. That is, if the image has 3 SamplesPerPixel, 3 values must be specified.
However when I use libtiff (haven't tried this in Java yet but it would be similar I guess):
    TIFFSetField( newTIFF, TIFFTAG_SMINSAMPLEVALUE, min1, min2, min3 );
    OR
    ===
    TIFFSetField( newTIFF, TIFFTAG_SMINSAMPLEVALUE, min1);
What gets written is min1 three times, so if min1 is 40, then 40 40 40 is written, due to a variable "count", I dont understand where the count for the tags gets set, I shall look into that further.
But my main question is how do I write multiple different values for SMinSampleValue and SMaxSampleValue using tifflib? How do other TIFF readers/writers do this (format question), since I want to be compatible with them.
    Thanks,
    HappyDeveloper

    Hi,
I am seeing the similar post in SDN and some replies state the following. Have a look into this
Often this error occurs because the TIFF file you have has been saved with some form of compression. You need to open in a picture edit program and save as TIFF making sure options are set so there is no compression.

  • Brush Preset File (ABR file) format specification

    Hi,
For previous version up to photoshop CS, adobe has released a specification of its files formats, including the brush preset format.
Were can I get the specifications for CS3 & CS4 file formats? I need them so that I am able to import the newer versions (7) of abr brush preset files into my application.
    Thanks,
    Mario

I just download his presets using your posted link. He has five Chalk brush presets some have texture some do not. None of the five have the settings or the preview your brush palette shows.  Also there are  Additional icon in the tools option bar that can change the way some of the setting function namely Shape dynamics size, Transfer opacity and airbrush mode.
