Inoperatable favorites page

When trying to add contacts to the favorites --- there is np + button in the upper right corner. also there is no add to favorites button in the info page.

Try restarting the iPhone and test again.
If that does not work then try restoring the iPhone. When presented with choice of restore from backup or as new disconnect the iPhone and test. If it works then there may be other app interfering with this on your iPhone.

I want to double my toolbar because I want to see all my icons from favorite pages.

I figured it out myself. Right click on the icon in the bookmarks toolbar and go down to properties. Where it says name you can leave blank or put what you want. Works just the way I want.

White triangles appear in Favorites page

Hi all,
I am having some trouble with Safari's favorites page: when the bookmarks bar is open, white triangles appear on the page. Furthermore, when a webpage is open, one appears at the bottom of the bookmarks bar (beside the Edit button). They tend to move around arbitrarily, and it is difficult to get a screenshot as they have a habit of hiding. I did manage to grab one, however. Any ideas what this is or how to fix it?
I'm running 10.10.1 on a mid-2010 MBP, 2.66GHz, Nvidia GeForce GT 330M 512MB.

Might be a cookies, cache, extensions, or plug-ins issue.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Can I have more than 9 favorite pages displayed in FF13's "new tab" feature?

I love the tiled window displaying my favorite pages when i open up a new tab in firefox 13 update. Is there a way that i can have more than the 9 displayed at a time? Maybe have 12 or 15?

There is no built-in way to change the number of page thumbnails on the tab. However, someone might develop an add-on to tweak the new tab page if there's a lot of interest.

White stars in blue corner on favorites page?

QUICK Q: Just what does it mean when a white star on a blue "peeled back" corner appears on one of your favorite thumbnail screens when you view your 'favorites' page? I feel super dumb but it doesn't seem to make any consistent sense.

It means that page has been updated since your last visit.
Information for Safari 4 for this article but pretty much the same for TopSites in Safari 5.

How do I get to favorites page

With maverick I had a favorites toolbar at the top. Now I have a favorites page of tiles with Yosemite. How do I get to it? I can't find anything to click on when I am viewing a web page to return me to this favorites page that has all the tiles of my old bookmarks.

Oh it works as is plainly demonstrated in several threads. The quote below is by aspergerguy . It may not be a good idea but on the several occasions the phone has bricked it's the only thing that worked. A hard reset wasn't possible as pressing the buttons did absolutely nothing. Heating it may well damage it.Lumia is relegated to spare phone, but since unlike my other spare phones, including an E72 ,which happily recharge from dead, the option is warm it or keep it as a brick.

Link to an article in another folio and favoriting pages

Is it possible to create a hyperlink to another folio in the same app? The navto:// command links to another article but only in the same folio, or any article in the app?
Also, i`ve been told that it would be possible to favorite a page in the folio, but I`ve never seen that, does anyone know about this?
I heard that these would be new features it would be possible but I didn`t find anywhere how to do this.

It seems there's a text discrepancy in the Advanced Linking article of the Advanced Overlays folio. The first button in the upper left says "Page 4 of Hyperlinks Article in Basic Overlays", however the name of the issue/folio in the library is "Overlay Basics". The text below the button reads, "Jump to page 4 of an article in the Advanced Overlays folio.", however it should say "Basic Overlays" or "Overlay Basics" shouldn't it? I'm not trying to be a nitpicker, but it could be confusing for newer folks.

Firefox is blocking one of my facebook favorite pages due to false certificate so what can I do?

When I try to look at the "Celebrity Cruises" Facebook page a Firefox yellow box is there and says it is an invalid certificate and to "get me out of here". Celebrity has not blocked me because I can see the page on my mobile devices. I can also see the page if I open it up from google without logging into Facebook.
How can I get rid of this so I can see the page when logged in? Facebook's security and help is too confusing. I tried to report it to them.

Try to open the page via the HTTP protocol instead.
If you can't do that then make sure that you do not have an extension that forces the HTTPS protocol.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Does anyone have an idea? Doesn't look like it is the same thing as the apple-touch-icon.png thing, but definitely not a favicon.ico either.
Note that the YouTube icon is rounded... Looks like it seems to not react the same way when the image is not totally filled with opaque pixels (= rounded square here).

I guess I should have tried your suggestion before responding. I cannot locating anything remotely similar to an image in the path you described. First of all, when I go to my 'applications' folder I hit a dead end at 'Pages08'. There is no pages 'folder' that contains these shared resources. I've searched 10 different ways, including a spotlight search on the file name in the original response. Can anyone give me another path or a suggestion for a spotlight search that would turn up this 'content' folder of shared resources?

HT204053 Since I completed the last iPad update I no longer have access to history. That tab in favorites shows a blank page.

That tab on favorites page opens a blank page. Does have anything to do with private browsing?

If you are using private browsing then yes, your browsing history will not be stored or accessible - you will need to exit private browsing. From the iPad manual :
Visit sites without making history. Tap Private while viewing your open pages or bookmarks. Sites you visit will no longer be added to History on your iPad.

How to I get new tabs to open to the correct home page?

When I open new tabs they just go to a Google Search page, which is very frustrating, especially when I open a new tab and try to type in the URL bar but as soon as it finishes loading Google it blanks out what I typed in and goes to the Google site. In other words, "blank" new tabs do not open to the Favorites page or even my home page. They open to Google. How do I change that? In other words, how do I get new tabs to stop opening to Google and start opening to either my home page or the Favorites screen? Thanks!

You can modify the browser.newtab.url pref on the about:config page and set it to the desired page to open.

Firefox allows me to add some pages as bookmarks and not others. For pages that don't work: when I click the star, it turns blue when I click, then goes back to being empty.

Last night I finally sat down to learn how to use Bookmarks. I had no problem creating and organizing bookmarks, but there are some pages that I cannot bookmark. One, for example, is the Gmail log-in page, which I use multiple times a day. I type in www.gmail.com, which routes me to a longer URL and the log-in page. When I click the star to make this page a bookmark, it won't work. I've also tried using the menu option "Bookmark This Page," which also doesn't work for this website. It's seems to be hit and miss as to when Firefox will allow me to bookmark a page and when it won't. I've had no problem adding many other pages; it just seems that with a handful of them I run into this issue.
I've tried closing Firefox and re-opening, which doesn't help, but that is about the extent of my troubleshooting attempts. This problem has been an issue for me for a couple of years and through several versions of Firefox. (I think I am currently running the most recent version.) It actually led me to believe early on that either Firefox Bookmarks didn't work or I just didn't have the time to figure it out. So since I've been using Firefox I have been repeatedly typing the names of my most frequented sites. I finally took time to sit down with it again last night and have found that Bookmarks will be a huge help. If I could only get ALL of my favorite pages to work...

None of the stuff in " http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locked_or_damaged_places.sqlite " helps. I have tried and tried and I have even wipe the computer clean still didn't help. I got the same problem as he/she has got in the first posted. Can add some web pages but not all the web pages I want.. I should have never updated to 3.6.13... That's when it all started for me, from that version..... Now Version 3.6.14 is out, I was hoping the version 3.6.14 might would fix the problem wrong again....
Funny thing is i can not even Bookmark Firefox.com!!!!!...lol
So any ideas on how to fix it other than the link giving would help.

When I turn on Safari, it pulls up 'favorites' I can't go to the internet. I can't get'favorites' off screen!!! can't use my computer. Help?

Force Quit .
Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time.
Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select Safari, if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window.
Wait.
Application will quit.
If this does not help, press the power button for 7 or more seconds.
Computer will shut down.
Restart.
Hold the shift key down and launch Safari.
