INotes logoff causes portal logoff

Hi everybody,
I integrated iNotes into the portal. When I log out me from iNotes then the portal log outs me too.
How can I avoid this?
If I start iNotes from portal in an extra Browser then it works. But we prefer the integrated solution.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Susanne

Hello Susanne,
unfortunately, the iNotes logoff deletes all session cookies - including the SAP logon Ticket and the SAP J2EE cookies.
One option would be to use iNotes in descrete iViews (iNotes URL Parameter "ui=portal") and not in fullpage mode. In that rendering mode iNotes does not render the logoff button. The iViews then display a subset of iNotes (only INBOX, or Calendar or Contacts) and not the full application. However you may combine several iViews on one portal page so that the user has all important functionality on a single page.
Otherwise you have to modify the logoff button to delete the Domino session only and to keep the SAP session cookies.

Michael

  • Lotus Inotes SSO with Portal

    Hi all,
    We have implemented SSO for one lotus notes server with Portal. In our landscape, there are several servers physically locating in different locations( Lotus notes server). Instead of doing web mail redirect,,,our client is redirecting to respective server databases through smtp server.  i mean...if the lotus user types http://inotes which is redirecting to different servers using smtp server. and we have configured SSO( ticket verifyer) for LotusA1 server, and there are several servers which not configured LotusB1 and Lotus C1 etc..
    My question here is :  Inorder to do SSO for all servers, can we do it directly to SMTP redirect server through Portal.
    Pl note: Our portal is sitting on Apache reverse proxy
    How do we rewrite rules for these servers.? which Port needs to open?
    If we do SSO for SMTP, will it redirect to all servers automatically?
    Please suggest
    Thanks a lot

  • IAS 1.0.2.1 - 1.0.2.2 Upgrade causing Portal Page errors

    We had Portal working, and have just upgraded iAS from 1.0.2.1 to 1.0.2.2. After the upgrade we commented out the duplicates in jserv.properties and zone.properties.
    We followed the instructions to check that Portal still works before we upgrade 308-309 but the portal30.home page gives a file not found error. In jserv.log there is a ClassNotFoundException for ParallelServlet, but wwpage.jar is in the wrapper.classpath in jserv.properties.
    The jserv and servlet demos work fine, we can even login and see the gateway config screen (we have a custom login page), but as soon as we go to any portal page we get the error.
    Can anyone help? We are working on Solaris.
    Thanks
    Jenny

    I have the wwpage.jar referenced in zone.properties and no mention in jserv.properties, and it works fine. I think this is the way things are on a default 1.0.2.2 Solaris installation (I'm pretty sure I haven't changed the defaults).
    e.g.) in zone.properties
    repositories=/u09/app/oracle/product/ias1.0.2.2/Apache/Jserv/servlets/wwpage.jar
    Hope that helps,

  • Par deploy from IDE hangs and causes Portal to crash

    Using the Netweaver 2004s SP7 Preview, on a Windows XP Pro machine, when I use the IDE's Quick Deploy on a Par, most of the time all works fine. But occasionally the deploy hangs in the Deploying Par stage. I have waited as long as an hour to make sure that it is hung. The IDE has to be stoped from Task Manager.
    At this point the portal no longer responds. Restarting the system results in the server0 never getting beyond the Starting Framework status.
    I found no errors in any logs after the hang or from the attempted restart.
    The only way to restart was to restore the file systems from a backup.
    Needless to say a three hour restore once or twice a day is very frustrating.
    Has anyone seen this behavior?

    Hi Antonio,
    A couple basic questions that may help us troubleshoot:
    1.) What version of LabVIEW are you using?
    2.) Are you able to deploy any code to the sbRIO? i.e. something even simpler than what you are already doing.
    3.) Have you ever been able to deploy code to this particular sbRIO?
    4.) Have you tried formatting and reinstalling the software?
    5.) What other troubleshooting steps have you tried?

  • How to Display DMS document in Enterprise Portal

    Hi All,
    I have a scenario as described below.
    I have a workitem which goes to user in his/her UWL  for  execution. When  this  workitem gets  executed  it  displays an Adobe Interactive form.
    Iin this  Adobe form i am giving links to DMS(Document Management System)  documents. So  when this link is clicked the related DMS document files should  get  displayed.
    Thru BAPI i m able to get DMS document number its  Object Links and  details of the  files (PDF,DOC,XLS etc..) attached to it.
    But I am not able to display this attached files on my enterprise portal. I debugged in R/3 and found out standard Function Modules which are used to display this attached  documents of DMS and wrap them in RFC and called this RFC when user   clicks link on Adobe Form in EP.
    The problem I m facing is this RFC is not able to display the attached document files of DMS document on Portal front end. it gives error as u201CException condition "NOT_SUPPORTED_BY_GUI" raised., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE"
    The reason behind why it is running successfully in R/3 is, it gets  front end as SAPGUI but  while we execute it thru portal it does not get frontend type as SAPGUI cause  portal always runs in Browser not on SAPGUI.
    So, Is there any way to display this DMS document files on Enterprise Portal?? Or  is it  possible using Knowledge Management?? Or any other standard  BAPI or FMs which can be used for the same  purpose??
    Regards,
    Dhruv

    Hi Steelman,
    You have to create a new iview and include it in the page that youhave created.
    There are many types of iviews that you can create.

  • KMC_DBRM_CONTENT DB level locks observed in this table

    Hi ,
    Please let me know the purpose of the KMC_DBRM_CONTENT standart table in SAP Netweaver Portal Version 7.0 SP13.
    We are observing Locks in the table DB level eventually causing portal to go down.
    We are using very minimal KM functionality
    Regards
    Sudhir

    Hi Sudhir,
    Despite the DB is in the database of the Application Server. This specific table belongs and is controlled by the application KM. So I believe you will find a more suitable answer opening a thread, or moving this one to the Knowledge Management & Collaboration forum. There, many specialists of KM will be able to answer this question.
    I hope I could help you, because the KM experts don't monitor this AS forum. So, there you will find your answer more quickly.
    Thanks,

  • Customize date bug in Yosemite?

    I've customized my system default date under System Prefs/Language and Region/Advanced/Dates to military format (e.g., 2015.02.03). However, System Prefs/Date and Time continues to show the standard 2/ 3/2015. The problem affects my Microsoft Outlook Calendar which also shows 2/ 3/2015 instead of 2015.02.03.  What hasn't worked: deleting the System Preferences plist; repairing permissions; resetting the date back to default and re-entering the customized date.  Is this a bug? Any other suggestions?  Thanks.

    I have the same version of Portal and the same problem. I have found no resolution either. Also, avoid aliasing the field the same name as the field. Doing this causes portal to override your formatting and access the field as a date, and truncates the century information. Responses to my post on technet resulted in no solution.

  • Basic vs. basic authentication scheme

    Has anyone else run across this issue? Oracle IAM specifies this authentication scheme as "basic" when it should be "Basic." When connecting through a browser the browser understands this and transforms the authentication scheme. However, when connecting outside of a browser, I can't authenticate.

    Hello,
    I know this discussion is really old, but for documentation purposes I am updating it
    This issue with the authorization popup happens on older versions of Windows, like XP and Vista (though there are workarounds on Vista). Changing the authentication schema to uidpwdlogon may solve the popup issue, but this causes Portal Drive to not work!

  • Portal 7.3 masthead customization - How to remove Logoff dialog box "Are you sure you want to logoff?"

    Portal 7.3 masthead customization - How to remove Logoff dialog box "Are you sure you want to logoff?"
    I have recently upgraded our portal to 7.3 sps10 and we are using the Ajax framework
    I have a requirement to Remove the Logoff Dialog box "Are you sure you want to logoff?"
    I am able to Import masthead.war into NWDS and get the project ready for development with the appropriate jar and libraries.
    I am able to deploy the project also. I need help finding How to turn this dialog box off and just log the user off. I was able to accomplish this in Classic frame work page HeaderiView.jsp.
    I have looked at afpmasthead.org.sj and masthead.jsp. I am not a js/jsp developer.
    I can see the logoff dialog box being created but I am having trouble finding the logoff code.
    Please advise me on the code changes required to remove the  Logoff dialog box "Are you sure you want to logoff?" from the Ajax framework.
    Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    Thank you Troy for your Helpful Threads.
    Problem Solution:
    Followed the thread on How to download and change AFP Masthead on SAP Portal 7.3
    Located the file which contains the logoff code from thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/3265584
    The File with the Logoff coding in it is a Javascript file afpmasthead.js
    Identified logoff code without dialog box using this thread https://scn.sap.com/thread/3307601
    NovaDialogBox.performLogout();    (perform logoff)
    I was able to remove the Logoff dialog box Do you really want to logoff? And replace it with logging the user off.
    afpmasthead.js  All the code is on 1 line,  To fix this go to -->Source -->Format
    Comment out the following lines of code and replace with logoff code
    logoffLinkElement.onmouseup= function(aS) {
    logoffLinkElement.onmouseup= function(aS) {
    NovaDialogBox.performLogout();

    Hi Polaka,
    Could you please try the below two?
    Option1: please check, whether you are acutally logged off or not? Even if you are shown the logon page it could be possible that the URL redirected is not shown in the browser. To do this just replace '/irj/portal' with'/index.html' then som UME or NWA link. If you are in without proving uid/pswd then you are not logged off at all, else you are logged off but just not redirected to the URL you have mentioned. If in the second case(logged off but not redirected, kindly check the below property in visual admin- set it to false.
    (Did you happen to set the '"ume.logoff.redirect.silent=false" in the visual admin)?.
    Then restart server and clear your browser cache too.
    Option2: Repeat the above steps trhough config tool and restart server.
    (this must work). But if possible try the option1 and hopefully it should work.

  • Portal logoff not clearing business objects SSO connection

    Is there a way to clear the saved SSO information from the business objects session in the background?
    The scenerio;
    On a computer shared by multiple users
    UserA Logs on to the SAP Enterprise portal, navigates to an iview that uses OpenDocument to run an xcelsius dashboard.  Single signon works great and dashboard is displayed.  This dashboard resfreshes on open and data retrieved is correct based on this users autorizations in BW.  The user Clicks the logoff link in the masthead of the Enterprise portal, the portal session and its SAP logon ticket are closed and the Portal logon page is redisplayed.
    UserB logs on the the SAP Enterprise portal, navigates to the same iview, the dashboard runs and retireves the data, but the data displayed is based on the BW autorizations for UserA.
    I verified that the SSO connection that userB is using to retrieve data is left over from UserA.  (I did this by simply opening an InfoView window and it shows the userid of UserA in the Welcome message.
    Closing the Browser window between each user login takes care of the problem, but is not really something we can count on our users doing.

    Hi Gail,
    We are also facing same issue as you had, Integrated BI launchpad with Portal and SSO is working fine via portal. But issue is already opened reports or Business objects will not clearing as you had after log off and lo-gin back.
    Can i setup any property to clear the BOBJ cookies or Can i create sap note for logoff option button on BOBJ via portal.
    Can you please suggest me to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Naveen

  • How to use Portal Logoff even?

    Hello,
    i have a situation, where on click of a button in the webdynpro iView the user have to get logged off from the portal and and the portal default login page should appear.
    previously we had done this using exit plug..but after upgradation to 2004s its no more valid.
    so we tried with portal navigation using url iView.. I have created a url iView and inside that have given the url as "http://<<server>>/portglobal/web/logoff.jsp"
    and has used this code :
    String str = "ROLES://portal_content/<<remainging path>>;
    WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute(
    str, WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE, (String) null,  (String) null,  WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS, (String) null,
      (String) null,null);
    but its not navigating. its still in the same window.
    when i did show in different window its saying iView not found. but the path is correct.
    can you suggest me any thing on this?

    use below code:
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.um.api.WDClientUser.forceLogoffClientUser(null);

  • Regd Logoff URL (.html) - deployed into same portal server

    hi all,
    we've configured spnego. and i want to redirect the logoff url to another some url with logoff.html. i've done this using some other server and it works fine.
    now i want to redirect the logoff url which is deployed in same portal server itself! how do i do it?
    i want http://<portalserver>:<port>/logoff.html - is this possbile please let me kknow if yes!
    tnx, JB

    Have you tried using a URL alias in this case ?? Create a url alias with the name logoff (under web.xml) , create a desktop (in system admin) with a theme and framework page . Create a KM doc iview out of your html file and put it under the framework page  . Make only this iview visible . Configure main_rules file so that when you access http://portalserver.port/irj/portal/logoff it points to the desktop .
    Now in browser when you type http://portalserver.port/irj/portal/logoff you will get the HTML page . I am sure this will work as i have done this before . Try this much , If this works then try placing the link - http://portalserver.port/irj/portal/logoff in config tool and see if that works which i think it should . If your client is too particular about logoff.html then you can try creating an alias with the same name and see if its allowing you to do the same . I am not sure about logoff.html as an alias but as far as my experience goes logoff with the above steps should do the trick .
    Check this help link for more details - http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/6e/8590f1d6d349c9adc34c6a8085189b/frameset.htm .
