Inprocess check

Dear Gurus,
i have inprocess check at every stage of confirmation, while doing confirmation it is asking qm has not done, so it is not allowing to do confirmation. that is fine. we want same way.
now question is that in qc there is no control, like without doing confirmation of any stage, it is allowing to do qc check for all stages. please guide

    Dear Pranav,
    You have mixed up the thing little bit here. See One part is about QC operations
    Second one is Confirmation of quantity and third one you introduced is BOM.
    So pls have explanation over it.
    Above all one thing is sure that you need to create BOM for it and the BOM will be linked with routing via the Production Version. Use trx code C223
    1. Mixing - here 2 components with weight 100 (say 50 +50 kg) mixed -no qc inspection
    Don't assign any MICs to these phase / operation.
    There is a functionality called Component assignment, in routing, assign the relevant component to this operation. So system will ask to issue these only while you will be supposed to confirm this phase in CO11n
    2. Same heated (same qty inside reactor -100 kg) -no qc inspection
    Don't assign any MICs to these phase / operation.
    Here no any component assignment is required, as per your description.
    3. Colour check - here qc inspection needed (qty same=100 kg)
    Assign the relevant MICs to this operation.
    4.addition- new material extra 100 kg addition (total 200 kg) -no qc inspection
    Assign the material that is intended to add, in the component assignment for this phase / operation.
    5. ph check - ( final 200 kg inside reactor) here also qc check needed
    Assign the relevant MICs to this operation.
    Now what I would suggest is you keep one more phase like (additional Step 6) for keeping the final yield confirmation in PP control. Or if dont wish to do such them keep it be as it is. Put the control key that makes the auto Goods receipt against the order, to this operation.
    I think this will make your scenario bit more clear.

  • Copy of task TS50000075 and  EXTSRV - termination event not working

    Hi,
    We have done copy of TS50000075 and extended business object EXTSRV to ZEXTSRV
    this was done to call function module ISR_CALL_FOR_CHANGE to open up adobe form in edit mode
    it works well but the task is not terminated
    if termination event is put just like TS50000075 like WIOBJECT, ZEXTSRV COMPLETED then workitem never ends and always stays in inbox
    ZEXTSRV COMPLETED event is not triggered when the workitem is completed in the UWL
    even if we trigger this event programatically , it does not find receiver and the task stays in-process
    if termination event is put as _WORKITEM PROCESSED then it bahves like synchronous task ie even if the workitem is clicked and form is not completed, the workitem ends. so the user can click it only once
    also i've tried following
    1 - used the function module to complete the workitem in QISR BADI. but the workitem ID is not available inthe BADI. If I try to export it from business object method and import in BADI, it doesnt work
    2 - find active workflows and derive workitem id and complete workitem using FM SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE
         this FM doesnt work , step becomes logically deleted which is not desirable
    3 - find active workflows and derive workitem id and complete workitem using other FM SAP_WAPI_SET_WORKITEM_COMPLETD
         work item is complete but there is workflow error - cannot determine succesor node
    4 - find active workflows and derive workitem id and change a particular container element
        check this container element in complete workitem condition in activity step of dialog step of workflow of this task-
         workitem stays inprocess
        check this container element in parellel wait step to complete the workitem-
         parellel step executes but fork is not complete, workflow doesnt proceed
    kindly help in this matter. the workitem does not get completed at all even if we force complete, workflow goes in error of - cannot determine succesor node.
    is there anything specific to the EXTSRV-PROCESS method which makes the TS50000075 task to trigger EXTSRV-COMPLETED and end the workitem ?

    Hi,
    You need to see the event in SWEL, otherwise it will never work with workflow. Make sure that the event monitor is on (in transaction SWELS).
    I cant see the event in SWEL. The vent monitor is on because if I create event in SWUE, it shows up.
    How you actually create the event now?
    There is BADI QISR which is always called to handle user action of PDF form. I have written the function modue to create event in the user action

    You need the COMMIT WORK always if you trigger the event in any program&function or whatever.
    ok ill try doing commit work after the create event function module
    Test your event with transaction SWUE. Make a test case first in a way that the task is waiting in the inbox/UWL. Then create the event in SWUE. Now, if the task gets completed, you will know that that event itself is working and your terminating event configuration is done properly. If this works, your only problem is in the event creation itself. And for that you need to tell exactly how you create the event. If you do it with your own custom code, use SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT and don't forget to have COMMIT WORK after the function call.
    I am doing exactly like you said. but it doesnt work ie even if I create the event in SWUE, the workitem doesnt get completed.
    This event is seen in SWEL with no receivere found
    I am able to infact set the workitem to complete using WAPI funciton module to complete teh task in the BADI.
    but the workflow goes in to error saying , next node cannot be determined

    Is their any possibility to create an inspection lot.
    1) At the first GR and no more at subsequent GR or;
      2) at each GR?

    if you want to create inspection lot for REM then following are the settings
    1. inspection type 13 for inprocess check for repetative with task list selection
    2.  maintained inspection characteristics in rate routing for which you want to maintained inspection.like inspection point
    3. Inspection creation by tcode MFPR which creates inpsction lot for your production version. manually,

  • Inspection Lot number on Process Order

    Hi Experts,
    There's an Inspection Lot field in process order in Assignment Tab, but it doesnt reflect the number of the Inspection Lot of the Material.  What am i missing?

    that inspection lot no is assigned to process order when you have maintained inspection type 03 ie inprocess check in material master . when you release process order you can see inspection lot is generated and that inpsection lot no you can on that field.

  • Multiple inspection against Batch

    My client doing the inprocess quality checking of the same set of inprocess characteristics every hour for a particular bacth during production. They have both REM and PP-PI and we are using 03 and 13 inspection types for inprocess checking.Now how to handle multiple inspection of same set of characteristics for every hour?

    1.Select the "Inspection points based on time " in routing Header
    2.In Operation overview under Inspection points put time 60 min.
    3.check T code QE70
    This will create the Inspection point per Hr..........which will allow you to do the multiple RR on same set of chars

  • OLEDB provider issue

    Hi all,
    I'm setting up linked server from sql server to oracle. I installed Oracle client 10.2.0.1 on the server, configured ODBC to the Oracle database using OraOLEDB.Oracle provider. Created linked server on sql server, but getting the below error:
    SELECT * FROM
    testlink..user.table
    OLE DB provider "ORAOLEDB.ORACLE" for linked server "TestLink" returned message "ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified".
    Msg 7303, Level 16, State 1, Line 2
    Cannot initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "ORAOLEDB.ORACLE" for linked server "TestLink".
    tnsping to the oracle database works from the server and the ODBC connection testlink to the oracle database is successful. I tried checking Allow inprocess in the provider option by right clicking linked server properties on the management studio also.. Nothing seemed to work..

    Hi,
    TNS_ADMIN used in command prompt is somehow ignored (added comment afterwards: mapped drive used in TNS_ADMIN may not be accessable, use UNC path in TNS_ADMIN instead).
    Create TNSNAMES entry through Oracle Net Configuration Assistant.
    Test Connection on Linked server must work before any SELECT can work.
    To use insert from linked server data change provider options:
    Allow inprocess = checked
    Restart SQL server windows service and try again.

  • QM -INSPECTION TYPES 03 & 04

    Dear Friends
                      I want to inspect a semifinished product both in the inprocess stage & after the processing completion. Now in MMO1 I have to activate both 03 & 04 inspection types. Which inspection type I have to mark as preferred inspection type because during inprocess checking I have to mark 03 as the preferred inspection type and once inprocess checking is over I shall have to again go to MMO2 and change 04 as the preferred inspection type. Every now and then shall I have to frequently change the preferred inspection types between 03 & 04.Please guide.

    Let me explain to you in detail the business process and the relevance of 03 inspection 7 04 inspection
    1)Suppose you have a product A and routing of this product A be like this
    0010 Forming > 0020 u2013 Winding > 0030 Testing > 0040 Assembling > 0050 Final Finishing
    2) In a normal production process suppose you have a production order of 100 for product A
    3) Now during the production process you need to confirm each operation through CO11N what was the yield, rework, scrap, activity time taken etc.
    4) Once all the operation are confirmed the production order is GRu2019ed and this product A goes to quality stock for 04 inspections. 04 inspections is always considered as Final inspection. 04 inspection is triggeref when  GR of the production order is done
    5) 0030 operation being a inprocess inspection in the above production process quality personnel doesnu2019t have any control over anything. That is wherer 03 inspection type helps a lot in having control over the confirmation process.
    6) By activating 03 inspection as the Production order is released inspection lot is created. quality personnel can do not only result recording but also confirmation of the quantity thereby giving him the control over the production quantity.
    7) Also quality personal can do the testing partially and record result multiple times and confirm partially
    8) Please note the partial quantity pop up which you get while result recording is just an information purpose recording. By entering any values it is not at all related to any quantity confirmation
    9 ) To bring the confirmation pop up in QA32 you will have to do
    a) In Routing at Operation level maintain a QM work center ( testing ) with Control key QM04
    b) double click on the control key and go to Quality Management : Inspection points
    c) Maintain Inspection point completion : Quantity , Valuation and confirmation
    10 ) For a better control over the 03 inspection these setting have to be defined in PP configuration for production order Type in Tcode OPK4 in config
    SPRO > Production> Shop floor control> confirmation> define confirmation parameters
    Maintain
    1)Operation sequence u2013 error when order sequence is not adhered to
    2) Overdeilvery u2013 Error when over delivery tolerance is exceeded
    3) Results Rec. (QM)- Error message if no Insp results exist
    So what these setting helps is that
    1)All operation has to be confirmed operation wise means 0010 has to be confirmed for confirming 0020 operation. SO production guys can only confirm 0040 operation only after 0030 operation is confimed by quality personal.
    2)Overdeilvery is not allowed means of in 0030 operation if only 50 quantity is confirmed in 0040 operation only 50 can be confirmed. Production people cannot confirm more than 50 quantities
    3)Also PP personal cannot confirm operation 0030 through C011N till the result recording of that operation is done through QA32.
    Hope this gives a good idea of 03 inspection

    1) Inprocess check with different parameter
    2) Daily check with different parameter
    3) Weekly check with different parameter
    4) Monthly check with different parameter.
    so please suggest me which inspection types should i maintained ?
    and  how the inpection lot generated for this inspection type?
    points will be rewarded.......

    You can set up an 89 inspection type with the three operations and using inspection points as I described before.  This is not stock relevant but you not handling stock with this.  At any time the inspection lot can have a UD made and the lot closed out.  Inspection points are valuated within each operation and the results copied to the batch.  So the batch record will always have the most current results.
    I would use physical samples, store my initial sample as a reserve via the original 04 lot.  Then the 89 lot is created for the physical sample.  Using inspection points won't cue anyone to do the sample however.  You'd have to actually look at each lot into each operation to determine if I shold be doing a sample today.
    The best option however is to create a stability study.  This would easily be the most elegant and rigorous solution.  I would encourage you to look at that and it is really exactly what your doing.
    Recurring inspection as you see, only can handle one time point.  And if you don't make the UD on the right day, the number of days between testing can easily vary.

    dear all,
    we have the following scenario:
    our client wants to check inprocess and GR inspection.He wants that without inprocess checking system should not allow confirmation.so i did setting in IMG.
    now the problem is for example his Production order qty is 1000 nos.that he will confirm partially in each 100 lot .for that every time system should check whether for inprocess inspection. I have tried with insp.points but i did not get  exact results .plz give proper solution

    Hi Prasad,
    Goto spro ->Prodcution->spc>confirmation->define confirmation parameters---  select the order type and plant in  genterally valid setting enter in result recording (qm) select the error message if no insp result exit.
    During confirmation it give error message without RR

  • Workflow Step is "inprocess" not going further

    I have a workflow with 6 steps(activity) now it stops with 2nd step itself i dnt know how to find out . status "inprocess" there is no approval anything there.. simply it has execute BUsiness object method(customized one).

    Hi,
    There are some cases which you have to check
    1) Check if you method is executed successfully from Bus. object with same inputs
    2) If it is using any transactions inside, chk tht it is not locked by others
    3) You can also check the application log using tcode SLG1 to find if what has gone wrong in ur step
    4) If a infinite loop exists in the method code
    5) If a debugging code is included in the method code, you can check tht in SM50 tcode for debugging
    But if you can explain more abt the purpose of the of the background step, then it will be easy to track the problem.

  • Inprocess inspection mapping

    Hi,
    I am working on inprocess inspection. Requirement is like this.
    Material is having 6 operations. During the 3rd operation two inspection characteristics need to be checked at regular intervals. So I have activated inspection type 03 in the material master QM view and i have assigned these two inspection characteristics to 3rd operation in the routing of the material. Now these inspection characteristics need to be checked repeatedly after completion of production of 25 Units till the end.   so in the routing header i have assigned Insp. Points as 990 Test point: Container, date and in the routing in the 3rd opeartion details in the QM inspection points tab I have activated qty related and given qty interval as 25 units and Insp.pointCompletion as automatic valuation based on inspection point definition.
    Now I have created a production order for the material 150 units and released the order and inspection lot got generated.
    Now confirmed the first and second opeartions with full qty as 150 units with CO11N transaction. Now when I do the partial confirmation for 3rd operation for qty 25 untis system should Automatically generate inspection point and allow for results recording of the inspection lot and when i do again partial confirmation of 25 units next time it should create another inspection point and allow RR and this should go on till total confirmation of 150 untis ( total 6 inspection points 125/25=6 for the inspection lot). How to map this.. I am unable to proceed further. Actually how it is generally mapped in the system. Kindly guide me.

    Inspection points are never automatically generated unless you develop specific FM's and config them into the inspeciton point identifier configuration.  If you go to the FM area of the inspection point identifer you can get quite a bit of help on these and there is internal documentation on the SAP example FM's for this.  I think all the example FM's start with QAPP if I remember correctly.
    Typically you would manually create the inspection point in the 03 inspection lot and enter in the qty of the material being inspected.

  • Workitem stays in InProcess state

    Hi Everybody,
    I have created a custom workflow to send mail with PDF as attachment.I have an activity step which is creates calls the method of my custom BO and in the method I am calling a function module wherein I have all the code to Create a smartform and store it as an PDF in my C drive...
    When  I test the method in SWUD transaction it works fine but when I run the workflow the activity step stays in process and there is no error ...The required binding seems to be in place.
    I am absolutely clueless regarding how to solve the problem ...So any help on  this...

    But I am able to run the method without any problem in SWUD transaction...I tried the same thing in CRM 4.0 there also I am having the same problem.. workitem in inprocess state.
    I checked the ST22 transaction and I find a short dump stating 'Exception Condition CNTL_ERROR raised'.
    Could there be any problem is trying to call a function module from the method...

  • Inprocess inspection in process industry

    Hai Gurus,
    I have one scenario.
    My Final product is Rectified Spirit which follows the following sequence of operation.
    1) Milling - Corn is made powder and mixed with water to form slurry 1
    2) Cooking - Slurry is mixed with enzymes and sulfuric acid to form slurry 2
    3) Fermentation - The slurry 2 is Fermented by adding yeast/lime and kept for 48 hrs to under go
                              fermentation and form fermented slurry 3
    4) Distillation - The fermented slurry 3 is heated and liquefied to form Rectified spirit  
    The addition of enzymes/sulphuric acid/yeast/lime in various above stages is based on the % of sugar.
    drawn for every 2hrs in a shift .
    Also temperature and pressure is maintained at each stage .
    How to Map  sap for  production and QM factor.

    Here you can try inspection point 200 .In recipe header qm tab keep inspection point 200 .& then for inprocess keep sampling procedure with sample management radio button on .In this case when you create process order for inprocess inspection lot will get generated for that you can check as many physical inspection point .so in your case you can check the sample till you get suger % .
    Just cheke & get me back .if my understanding is correct or not .

    Dear Sachin,
    Meaning of INSP is  you have done result recording, tell me how system will remove it from system. The status will be INSP for that lot until you give UD. This is best SAP practice.
    The in-process insp  lot is generated once you release the prd. order, so pl check with your PP person whether it works  by technically closing that prd order.
    Other option is apply inspection point to that routing, so if needed you can enter other set of results for record.
