Inprocess inspection & 04 Inspection

Gurus,
When i am working with both 03 & 04,can i make GR for production order and take the material stock skipping 04 inspection?

When i am working with both 03 & 04,can i make GR for production order and take the material stock skipping 04 inspection?
Yes you can skip 04 inspection also. Also you can deactivate post to inspection for 04 inspection type.
But this is strange that you have activated 03 & 04 but still you want to skip the same.
Also remember you can use DMR in 04 also & skip the lot.
You can take mass UD in QA10.
Also you can use QA41 for scheduling.

  • Inspect and Inspected field in Record Results:Characteristic overview

    hi,
Can any one explain me the Inspect and Inspected field in Record Results:Characteristic overview screen. How the sample size is determined in Inspected field during lot creation.
    Muthamil

    Dear Muthamil
This fully depends on the sampling procedure you choose. for eg if you choose 100% sampling procedure and you have lot quantity of 10 items
Then inspect will be 10 and inspected will be 10.
SAP gives the definition for INSPECT as  - Predefined sample size that has to be inspected for an inspection characteristic or a partial sample.
For each inspection plan characteristic you define the amount by which the inspected sample size in the 'Insp.ed' field can deviate from the to-be-inspected sample size in the 'Inspect' field. If a characteristic (partial sample ) is closed the system checks whether the required sample size is adhered to. The characteristic (partial sample) can only be closed if this is the case.
But for Scope not fixed, larger , smaller scope the inspected field chages based on the result recording
SAP gives the definition for INSPECTED as   - Number of sample units that have been inspected for a characteristic or a partial sample.
    Hope this explains

  • Inprocess inspection reassigning inspection plan

    Hi,
I generated an inprocess inspection through 03 inspection type. But inspection characteristics where not there in the routing. Later I created inspection characteristics in routing.
When I tried to assign this task list by resetting sample calculation T Code- QAC3, it is saying confirmation already done.
Could anyone tell me how can I reset sample calculation and re assign my newly created routing.
I want to create an inspection lot with MIC's which I updated later or after confirmation.
I request anyone to help me.

    Hi,
Follow the below any case for soln.
    Case 1:
Go to CO02 (Production order change mode) enter order number
In order over view screen go to Function -> Inspection lot -> Delete and create and save the order. Now system will create the new inspection lot with new spec.
    Case 2:
Go to Result screen for existing inspection lot click add characteristics icon add character one by one and do the result recording .
    check and revert back.

  • Raw material issue for inspection from inspection lot

    Hello friends,
My sample size is fixed i.e.75 gm for all  raw material quality testing. I have defined sampling procedure with sampling type "fixed sample". I want that this amount should be decreased from total lot quantity when i am posting it to unrestricted use. i.e. for 10 kg inspection lot quantity, 9.925 kg quantity should be posted .Now, system propose whole quantity for stock transfer from quality to unrestricted after usage decision.
    Waiting for reply!
    Thanks in advance!!

    Dear Kiran
    1)  System doesnot take decimal in samples. if your basic unit is KG and you procure 10kg material system will consider sample amount as 1 kg. it will not take 0.075kg as the sample.
    2) Other option is make the procurement in GMs but that  will be difficult for purchaser to handle
    3) or esle make use of this exit and do the posting based on that
QEVA0009 - UD: Predefinition of quantity to be posted to sample stock
    This will help

  • QM : First inspection lot - inspection plan, other inspection lot another insp. plan

    Hello.
Is it possible with standard SAP  when it is create the first inspectio lot for material/vendor  ( origin 01) that it takes an inspection plan, and for the next inspection lot that will be created for the same material/vendor ( origin 01) that system takes from another inspection plan ????
Or have i to user a badi/user-exit?? which?
    Regards.
    Antonio

    Dear Antonio,
    Try this
    1. In material master do not set the auto release indicator for 01 inspection type
    2. Make inspection plant for material with group counter 2
    3. Now you have two different inspection plans with group counter1 &2
    4. Do the GR for same material for two times
    5. Two inspection lots will be generated
    6. Assign inspection plan manually for first inspection lot with first group counter
    7. Assign inspection plan manually for first inspection lot with second group counter
Please let me know is it working or not

  • GR durng final inspection - single inspection lot

    Hello Friends,
In material master there is a key that control inspection lot creation during GR from purchasing is there any similar key for production too
    Like below
For each purchase order item, batch and storage location
    Thanks & Regards
    Raj

    Dear raju
Yes, You can use for 04 inspection ,
'X' An inspection lot for each  order ,batch & storage location- An inspection lot is only created during the first goods receipt for each PO item or production order.

  • Set up Calibration Inspection in Inspection Interface

    Hello,
I’m currently designing an inspection interface “front panel” for a program that detects faults in caps. I’ve been having a look at some of the features that are offered in the interface and I was wondering if there is a way I can perform an edit calibration in the inspection interface. Thanks for any response.

Actually, the Calibration step in VBAI allows you to dynamically relearn calibrations based on previous points. The simple calibration and point distance calibrations allow you to use previous points to update the calibration. On the second tab of the calibration step, check the relearn option. All calibration types allow you to dynamically adjust the calibration origin/angle based on previous points using the same relearn flag in the calibration step.
If you want to permantely update the calibration, you can check the "Save Image Calibration to File" option on the first tab of the calibration step.
    Hope this helps,
    Brad

  • Inprocess inspection of Byproduct

    Hi All,
Is it possible to perform inprocess "03" type inspection for byproduct?
If yes, then please let me have brief idea.
    Regards
    -Prasad-

    Hi,
You can not do in-process inspection for Byproduct as inprocess inspection lot can be create only for main material.
you can have a work around create manual inspection lot for 89 origin and do your inspection. You can also define a new operation in routing for by product inspection though you will not get full functionality of inspection lot but inspection result can recorded.

  • Creating inspection lot  in REM

    Hi
    In REM(Repetitive Manufactruing) Scenario:
Is their any possibility to create an inspection lot.
    1) At the first GR and no more at subsequent GR or;
      2) at each GR?
    Thanks in advance
    Saravana

    Hi kumar
if you want to create inspection lot for REM then following are the settings
    1. inspection type 13 for inprocess check for repetative with task list selection
    2.  maintained inspection characteristics in rate routing for which you want to maintained inspection.like inspection point
    3. Inspection creation by tcode MFPR which creates inpsction lot for your production version. manually,

  • In-process inspection and confirmation

Hi, i have used 03 insp type in material master. for each operation, some characterstics were assigned. after prod order confirmation with co11n t-code, i have done results recording thru qa32 t-code. even without confirmation (co11n) also, system allows to record the results thru qa32. please advise how can we restrict this? is there any link or relation in between confirmation and results recording?

    Dear Yadav
Let me explain to you in detail the business process and the relevance of 03 inspection .
1)Suppose you have a product A and routing of this product A be like this.
    0010 Forming > 0020 u2013 Winding > 0030 Testing > 0040 Assembling > 0050 Final Finishing.
    2) In a normal production process suppose you have a production order of 100 for product A
    3) Now during the production process you need to confirm each operation through CO11N what was the yield, rework, scrap, activity time taken etc.
    4) Once all the operation are confirmed the production order is GRu2019ed and this product A goes to quality stock for 04 inspections. 04 inspections is always considered as Final inspection.
    5) 0030 operation being a inprocess inspection , 03 inspection type gives the Quality personal a control over the confirmation process.
    6) Quality personnel can do not only result recording but also confirmation of the quantity thereby giving him the control over the production quantity.
    7) Quality personal can also do the testing partially and record result multiple times and confirm partially
8 ) To bring the confirmation pop up in QA32 you will have to do
    a) In Routing at header kindly maintain inspection point as 150
    b) At Operation level maintain a QM work center ( testing ) with Control key QM04
    b) double click on the control key and go to Quality Management : Inspection points
    c) Maintain Inspection point completion : Quantity , Valuation and confirmation
10 ) For a better control over the 03 inspection these setting have to be defined in PP configuration for production order Type in Tcode OPK4 in config
SPRO > Production> Shop floor control> confirmation> define confirmation parameters
    Maintain
1)Operation sequence u2013 error when order sequence is not adhered to
    2) Overdeilvery u2013 Error when over delivery tolerance is exceeded
    3) Results Rec. (QM)- Error message if no Insp results exist

  • Sample in IN PROCESS inspection

    Gurus,
I need to do sample inspection for INPROCESS inspection.I need to do inspection with inspection point 150.What are the steps?

    Hi,
In process with inspection point can be used regular interval of time or regular interval of qty.
You have mentioned 150 insp point in recipe its ok but still you need to do setting in recipe .Go to operation in recipe Now select your phase line item where you have given regular qty inspction .at bottom their is 0ne icon QM data Operation QM (This icon is exatly right side of MIC icon ),click their put their qty related radio button on ,give qty ,Unit of material .say for  scenario 50 kg .If process order is of 500 Kg then system will allow you take result every 50 kg QTY i.e you can take here 10 results Give valuation as per your reqmnt in same screen then save the recipe & cheke

  • Goods receipt with inspection points

    hi
my business process study reveels the following scenario
i need to do goods receipt inspection with inspection points
means the finish product say rice
i given paddy to the miller as a subcontarcting
iam getting rice as out put
i need to record inspction results on inprocess as well as at  finish product
ie while processing from paddy to rice i will made timely inspection points and want to capture the result
and for final rice also i need to do inspection
    how to achive this
if i chhose inspection type 04 and freeinspection points
    system not accepting
    plz suggest
    sasikanth

For my proposal you use 04 inspection lot with early creation of the inspection lot.
Create an inspection plan with the proper usage for inspection type 04.
Select free inspection points in the header of the inspection plan.
Assign your characteristics.  Release the plan.
Create and release your order.  You should find an 04 inspection lot for it.
Select the lot, most work list will give a pop-up showing the two operations.  Double click on the first one.  Then you should get a pop-up asking for the inspection point identification.  Enter in what ever you've set it up to require.
Record the results.  Repeat previous step as often as you need to.

  • Inspection method

    Dear experts,
    I am new to QM.
What is the effect of inspection method in QM. Can you pls give some inspection methods which probably used for incoming, inprocess and final inspection methods.
I have gone through F1 help doc. I did not clear.
    Pls help me
    Thanks in advance
    R.D.I

As said above, You use inspection methods to describe how to carry out an inspection for an inspection characteristic.
for example: there can be various methods to carry out inspection for a particular characteristics like check resistance. u can check resistance with various methods various equipments. each method will be inspection method master.
inspection mathods can be used in MIC or directly in insp.plan but single insp. method can be used for single char.
Using the Inspection Methods, you can:
Specify how an inspection characteristic should be inspected
Define the qualifications for inspectors. The specifications in the inspection method take precedence over the specifications in the inspection characteristics.
Create different versions of an inspection method (for example, with different validity periods)
Find the desired version of an inspection method with different validity periods by specifying the key date
Make changes to inspection methods with or without history. You specify the required plant-specific default value for this function in the Customizing application. However, you can also create a new version for a validity period manually. A version management function ensures that all changes are documented.
Create a where-used list to determine the master inspection characteristics and inspection plans in which an inspection method is used

  • Inspection lot not getting generated for schedule in stability study

    Dear All,
Need your urgent help to solve a issue. I need to perform inspection of material after specified interval of time for which i am using stability study process. Following are the steps which i have followed :
    1) Create initial sample (physical sample created)
    2) Confirm initial sample
    3) Initial test inspection lot( Inspection lot created )
    4) Complete initial test
    5) Specify storage conditions (Physical sample created with CRTD status)
    6) Create testing schedule( Maintenance schedule is created )
    7) I have scheduled maintenance plan through IP10 tcode. All the calls are getting generated.
Now i have given manual call in IP10, but inspection lot is not generating.
Please help to solve this issue ASAP.

    Dear Craig,
Yes i have activated inspection type 16 to material master.
Actually issue is solved now, I have missed one step " Store stability Sample".
Now the lots are getting generated.
i am closing this thread now.

  • Table to see Inspection result recording

    Mentors
We have material where in there are intermittenat 60 operations to be recorded based on 3 stages of the meterial .All the operations have single characteristic value .Results are recored for the lots whcih are created based on the stage
    1) For stage new arrival result recodering is done for 10-25 operations
    2) Dispute stage result recodering is done for 31-46 operations
    3) Recycle stage result recodering is done for 50-66 operations
now i want to know How to check in which of the operation , results are recorded in table ? ( Table sequence to derive values stored for the results for the operations )

    Hi,
    Check in the following tables.
    QAES  :                        Sample unit table
QASR  :                        Sample results for inspection characteristic
QAMV :                        Characteristic specifications for inspectic
    QAPP  :                          Inspection point.
