Input help selection problem in SAP GUI screen
Hi All,
We are using a SAP GUI based transaction for one ESS service. In this service, we have a input field. This field is defined as dictionary field And its picking F4 values from dictionary.
Now we have a problem here.
We have to set this field as mandatory(set in fields property using screen painter). Everything was fine, just before we did testing
When user host this service, for above mentioned field user get to see one "?" mark. When user does not select any of the entry provided by F4. user gets a message "please fill mandatory field" and input field contains first entry from F4 help.
Now this is very confusing, so we want to avoid selection of this entry.
if any of you have faced similar problem ??
any suggestions here.
Yes Sudir ,
We also stopped a bit at this point.
Wht we did is impemented all the mandatory checks at module pool itself and throwed status msg by using Message class.
Now if a user leaves any mandatory field , the status msg will point the filed he left blank ..
But Cursor won't point to that field .

In ESS we are getting SAP GUI screens instead of web screens??
Hi,
How the problem has come up---
We have transferred the production data and OS into test server and changed the test server IP address to production IP address after shutting down the production server.
Which means that now ITS/ESS will be pointing to the new copied server. After this when this new server was shutdown and old production was started the ESS/ITS points back to the original production server.
Now the problem is that When we execute any transaction from ESS we are getting SAP GUI screen instead of Web screen.
Can somebody tell me why this is happening.
Any pointers to this will be highly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
VarunFirst off...what version are you on (backend)? Also, how did you "switch" your ITS instance?A little more info and we will solve this for ya. =)

Hi SDN
I am creating a SAP transaction iView with SAP GUI for HTML. I have give the Transaction code VA01 but when i execute the the iView it is displaying the SAP Easy Access screen in html. Can any one suggest me how to rectify this error and display the required transaction in html.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
BashaHi Basha,
Try this in the browser:
http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/va01?sap-client=100(XXX)
1) It will ask for the username and password
2) Enter the credentials and it should directly take you to the VA01 transaction
If it fails again, try this:
http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/vl31w?sap-client=100(XXX)
This should display the "Create Inbound Delivery NotificationTitle Create Inbound Delivery Notification " sreen."
If it faisl again, there is some problem with the way the ITS has set up. Check with your basis.
Thanks,
Sathya -

If I clear the cache(By pressing Ctrl+F5) the same iview get loaded.

Regards
SivaprasathHi Shiva,
For SAP transaction iViews better to use SAP GUi for Windows option instead of SAP GUI for HTML.
Hope it helps for you..

Query designer problem with SAP GUI 7.10
I recently installed the SAP GUI 7.10 and when I'm going to apply or remove a filter in any characteristic, this error is shown :
<b>----
BEx Query Designer
Run-time error '-2147417848 (80010108)':
Automation error
The object invoked has disconnected from its clients.
OK
</b>
Anybody knows what to do?
Tnks in advance.I had a similar problem after "upgrading" to SAPGUI 7.10, except my failure was in the BEx Analyzer. (We are still using BW 3.5 SP 18.)
The solution I found was in SAP Note 1039191 which addresses this problem for both the Analyzer and the Query Designer, and includes a revised "wdbsPres.dll" file as a workaround. After downloading and installing this file, the problem was resolved.
BTW, I have asked SAP when this will be fixed in a future FEP, but they have so far only given me a very ambiguous reply suggesting that I try it on another PC.
Hope this helps...

Performance problems with SAP GUI 7.10 and BEx 3.5 Patch 400?
Hi everybody,
we installed SAP GUI 7.10 and BEx 3.5 Patch 400 and detected hugh performance problems with this version in comparison to the SAP GUI 6.40 and BEx 3.5 or BEx 7.0 Patch 800.
Does anybody detect the same problems?
Best regards,
UlliMost important question when you are talking about performance-issues:
which OC are you working on and which excel version?

In need of help going from Windows SAP GUI to Mac/Java SAP GUI 7.20
Hi Everyone, first post...I want to thank you in advance for any assistance you are able to provide.
I got everything working except for 1 out of 6 servers I need to connect to - of course this is the most important one.
It all comes down to the conversion of saplogon.ini to the new file format, instead of using the GUI to make a list I have created 6 individual .sapc files that I run directly. I found some converters but only had so much success with them, nothing solid and 100% full proof.
I'm going to post my windows config files and maybe you can tell me why logging into this system GP8 doesn't work from my mac?
saplogon.ini (I believe it's item 4 that is the full config for the server I'm trying to connect to)

Please tell me from all the info you have here what needs to take place for me to be able to connect to GP8. Can I do it from an sapc file? Do I have to configure other core files and go to my preferences and tell SAP to look at certain configs? I'm sure someone here can help me.
Thanks so much for your time

Edited by: nstabl on Feb 27, 2012 10:07 PMHello John,
please try the "SAP GUI for Java Configuration Generator Scripts" available at http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-25456#section9 .
For using the message server to connect to GP8, the information of the port number of the message server for GP8 is missing. For direct connection to GP8, it might work to use the connection string "conn=/H/gp8001.trans.de/S/3288" .

VivekHi,
i know that the problem is data size but you can solve that easily way:
1-First create container
create object cf_cl_custom_container
exporting
repid = sy-repid
dynnr = sy-dynnr
container_name = 'NAME'.
2-Here is the problem and the solution, query parameter is the problem,I had the same problem and i solved it this way
create object cf_cl_gui_html_viewer
exporting
parent = cf_cl_custom_container
query_table_disabled = 'X'."<-the mother of the lamb

SAP GUI screens in Web dynpro ABAP
Is there an easy way to convert SAPU GUI screns like VA01 into webdynpro screens like the old way of doing with ITS?
I don't want to use the SAP portal. I just want to use Webdynpro ABAP only. Please share your thoughts.
ThanksITS is the only tool with automatic translation of SAPGUI screens. Even if we autoconverted to Web Dynpro, you would end up with a Web Dynpro Screen that pretty much looks and feels like the old SAPGUI screen. There is a screen conversion wizard in Web Dynpro, but it isn't really recommended. It only does partial conversion, the screen designs aren't optimal (hence the WDA that looks like a dynpro) and the code of the component is messy. You really need to redesign from scratch to take advantage of the features of Web Dynpro.

from OINV T0
where T0.DocDate >= '[%0]'
and T0.DocDate <= '[%1]'
When I run this query in SBO query maanger, it gives error for the selection criterias.
1). [Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]Must specify table to select from. 2). [Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]Statement 'User-Defined Values' (CSHS) (s) could not be prepared.

So I had the negative screen issue with a 737 model of the Touch. I just exchanged it and they gave me a 736 one. Should I just not even open it and wait until i can get a 738? Has anyone got a 736 without an issue? Thanks in advanced.
