Input Method Limitation on BB10 (only 3)

Hello, I love the physical keyboard and the OS of my Q10 but it has a huge problem (as least for me): it won't let me select more than 3 input languages (such as French, English, Chinese...). I need to select to select at least five. Android, IOS or WP don't have that limitation (the last time i used a phone with a similar limitation it was a Symbian^3). I was wondering if this will be modify in a future version of the OS? Do you guys have some information about that? Thanks, Pierre

The default setting is that only Tabs that contain information are shown, maybe your recording was too short to produce any method samples?
You can force the JRMC GUI to display all tabs through Window->Preferences->JRockit Mission Control->JRockit Runtime Analyzer and select the "Show every tab..." checkbox.
If that doesn't work, send a copy of the recording to jrockit-improve AT bea and we'll take a look. Or better yet, submit a bug report to bugzilla.bea.com.
And if you haven't done so already, take a look at the new JRMC update site for JRMC Eclipse Plug-Ins: https://dev2devclub.bea.com/updates/eclipse-3.3/jrmc/.

  • Incompatible Changjie Input Method for Macbook Pro Office for Mac

I have Chinese word input problems when I use my Macbook Pro 13" Retina OS X  and Microsoft Office for Mac Standard 2011 with Service Pack 2.
When I use Changjie input method to input some Chinese words like "面", "屬", "應", these words cannot be shown with correct input methods. They can only be shown by Quick input method. It is very strange. No such problems exist when I use my iPod, iPad or iPhone 5. Please advise. Thank you!
For your reference, Changjie input method of the above words are:
    面 = 一田卜中
    屬 = 尸卜卜戈
    應 = 戈土心
These words cannot be shown by the above methods.

PS OS X Cangjie does seem to use different codes for those characters:

  • Using Direct input method(LSMW)Can I upload only 3 fields for MM01

Using Direct input method(LSMW)Can I upload only Matnr, mbrsh, mtart fields for MM01.Otherwise I have to give all the mandatory fields.?

    Hello TJK,
LSMW will work in the same way as you create normal material master with the transactions, here you are giving the value through flat file and creating material master with program.
You can create only one view with LSMW but you need to give all mandatory field on that particular view, so if you have only these three field as mandatory then yes it is possible, if you have any more field mandatory addition to these fields then it will not work out, during the last step it will throw error saying "maintain the value for field XXX"
    Hope this helps.

  • PO creation using LSMW through batch input method

Hi, I am new to working with LSMW and i have completed a project for creating purchase orders using the direct data input method. I need to do the same using batch input method, however in the maintain structure relationship step, it is only allowing me to assign one structure to the recording that i have done, however in po creation we need separate (nested) structure for header and line item, could anybody help me past this please?

    Hi Rudra!
OK, now you just know, why you have only one line, not multiple PO item lines. To get a dynamic number of items, you need a complex program - just like standard direct input.
If you need a field, which is not part of this program, don't try to write your own program for batch input - it's just to much work before you have a good result.
You can use Bapi method instead with BAPI_PO_CREATE1. This can handle a lot of fields and there is some documentation available how to fill the Bapi.
If this looks to complicated in the first moment, think about creation of POs via direct input and a small batch recording to change your additional field(s) afterwards. (You can select EKPO table to generate list of 'wrong' migrated orders for input in LSMW.) Use field 'Item' in the bottom of ME22 to position your desired line in first screen line, just change one PO-line after one other (every time a 'save' -> no problem with different number of lines / PO).

  • Bootcamp, Windows 7: EN option not showing up in input method selector

    Hi,
I added a Japanese and a German input method on my Bootcamp Windows 7 install.
For some reason only JP (Japanese) and DE (German) are shown as options in the input method selector - but no EN, which should be the default...
In the settings the EN entry is shown however:
      EN English (United States)
        +-+ Keyboard
            + United States (Apple)
      JP Japanese
        +-+ Keyboard
            + Microsoft IME
      German (Germany)
        +-+ Keyboard
            + German (Apple)
When starting up, the German keyboard is activated and there is no way to switch back to the English one.
When adding another English keyboard, US for example, an EN option is shown - but it selects the normal US keyboard and not the "United States (Apple)" one...
Any idea how to solve the problem?
    Thanks, Dietrich

  • How to STOP OS X from automatically changing between language input methods

I want to know if there is a way in OS X Leopard to stop the system from automatically changing the language input method. I use English and Japanese on my computer, but this would apply to anyone using more than one input method.
For example, when I click on a Japanese-language file, the system automatically changes input to Kotoeri (the Japanese-language input method). When I then click on an English-language file it usually, but not always, changes back to English input. But I almost never want to TYPE in Japanese. I just need to be able to read Japanese and to cut and paste from Japanese language files. It is very annoying when I start typing in an English-language file and find the input method has been changed to kotoeri without me realizing it—everything comes out in meaningless Japanese. When I want to type in Japanese, I want to manually change to the Japanese input system. That is, I want English to always be the default input method even if I am manipulating Japanese-language files.
So, I’m wondering if there’s a way to set the computer so that it never AUTOMATICALLY switches between the input methods. I want to be able to switch only manually. In the old days of System 7, 8, and 9, there was a third-party control panel you could get that would do this (I think it was called Stay There!) and I don't remember this being a problem in Tiger or earlier versions of OS X. Is anyone aware of any way to do this in Leopard?
    Thank you!
    Colin

Well, I do have it set that way, and I can look up there to see where I am, but in the work I do time is critical and I move back and forth between the two languages frequently. It is really a pain and a waste of time to have to look and make a change that should be unnecessary. The problem is not so much that I don't know where I am. It's that I don't want to ever have to think I MIGHT be in anything but English input unless I specifically want to be. In other words, I need to be able to forget about this problem even being a possibility.

  • Problem in batch input method

    Hi wizards,
please help me for the following problem:
I have created a parent recording for MATERIAL MASTER in LSMW batch input method by selecting all of the fields that may be required for different material types.  Now I want to edit the recording and create new recordings from the parent one for specific material types.  For this, i have made a copy of the same recording with a different name in the same project.  In the copied recording, i have kept only the screen fields which i require for a particular material type and deleted the rest. I have created new structure relationships and field mapping rules for the new recording. Now when i upload the data, system is behaving normally upto the DISPLAY READ DATA stage, but gives a short dump on CONVERT DATA. On inspection i have found that during FIELD MAPPING, the _source field mapping is still showing mapping with the source structure of the parent recording for fields which have mapping rule as "Transfer" but it is picking up the new source structure for those source fields for which mapping rule is "Constant"_.
Kindly help me solve this problem as i do not want to create a separate recording for each material type. Can creating a new subproject help in this regard?
    Thanks and regards
    Abhik

    Hi Harris,
could you please let me know how to use the two methods you have mentioned? If you have any docs regarding the same then could you please mail it to me at [email protected]? Or else if you have any link for the same then please do send it to me.
However, I would like to know that if separate recording is required for every material type, then why the "COPY RECORDING" and "DELETE SCREENFIELD" utilities have been provided.
    Thanks and regards

  • Should Arch have a common input method ?

Should Arch have a common input method ?
Arch is a really great distro,so I think there are a lots of arch users all over the world.
And I believe that more and more people will know Arch, use Arch,Love to use Arch
But I am curious about that : everyone use english only? Just input English only?
For me I need a input method to input Chinese in gedit,gnome-terminal,openoffice and so on.
I guess some users( in particular for non-English users) also need it for their own language.
So I eager hope Arch will  official have common method support.
And SCIM is a good choice--Smart Common Input Method.

    And http://sourceforge.net/projects/scim/

Tt also is the defauls input moethod for CJK(Chinese/Korea/Japanese) users,SCIM  supports a large
number of input methods in a bunch of languages, and trying to enumerate all the input method
    engines and their corresponding languages.

cactus wrote:@dibble: in fact, I would. Then i would set out to make the packages myself so I could use them, or try to form a group of like minded individuals to create a language specific port.
i don't want to start a massive fight about this cactus because you know I respect your views but i wonder how a group of people that require internationalization support can collaborate on a project without a common language?
We can already see that miracle is doing his best to get his point across with varying sucess, i can't imagine trying to achieve many harder things in the internet environment, never mind establishing a project.  Of course this is well within the users power but i really think that in this instance non-enlgish speaking users would greatly benefit from the support of experience Arch Users who have english as first langauge.
miracle - if the PKGs are in the AUR you need to contact other arch users, possibly on the other languages forums, and tell them to vote for the scim pkgs

  • Input Methods changing without permission

    Hi everybody.
I use a personalized keyboard mapping. I've created it with Ukelele, put it into ~/Library/Keyboard Layouts and selected it in the System Preferences (so only my account can use this layout). Perfect.
    Now, the issues:
If I use the “fast user switching” in the menu bar, my own Input Method is reverted to the default French input method. I think that is normal for this window, but if I cancel the user switching, the default French input method remains and I have to manually switch back to my personalized keyboard layout.
The same thing happens when I play “Warcraft III”: the input method is changed to the default French layout as soon as the game is launched. How can I change this behavior ?

  • Follow Up Post - Input Methods Win2K

Just a quick note - I discovered that Windows 2000 (English version) does support input methods in Chinese AND it works with Swing. :)
There was some talk of using third-party software like njstar, but I guess it seems to be only needed in NON-Windows 2000 environments.
To activate Chinese Input methods on a pure English Windows 2000 -
Go to Regional Settings - Input Locales
    Add: Input Language: Chinese (PRC)
    with Keyboard/layout: Simplified@Chinese - ZhengMa
Now, your ready to type Chinese in Swing Windows too ...
    I have'nt discovered 2 things yet -
---- Why should the keyboard/layout be set to:
Chinese (PRC) - Simplified Chinese Zhengma?
    Why does'nt
Chinese (PRC) - Chinese (Simplified) US Keyboard work??
Because the fact is I am using a US keyboard.
----- What the encoding of the text generated by Windows 2000 is and how do I read it?
When I go to IME Setting for: Chinese (PRC) - Simplified Chinese Zhengma it pops a Chinese window with GB2312 and GBK ... are these encoding methods? I thought Win2000 used only Unicode?
Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks Martin for some of your previous posts - they were helpful.
    TIA,
    Carlos

    Hi Carlos,
Correct, NJStar is extremely useful if you aren't in Windows 2000.
I'm pretty sure Win2K's support of Unicode is bog standard at best. It certainly isn't up to Java's standard where everything being stored internally is in Unicode. As far as I'm aware that statement of MS's only covers flat files and databases at this point in time, and will take another two OS releases before it occurs across the board as it does in Java. But don't quote me on that! :)
GB2312 is a Chinese encoding. Java will be able to read in this form of encoding, and then convert it to Unicode once it's being stored internally. Hope that doesn't sound too confusing! The important point here is that GB and Unicode are two entirely separate encodings. You may need to convert between the two in places, especially if you're dealing with HTML and/or JSP.
As for the keyboard, no idea. I can only assume that:
    1) The US version is laid out differently
    2) There's a bug in the JDK for this keyboard layout
    3) It refers to a keyboard that lets Chinese people type in English characters (though I'd doubt it!)
    Hope that helps!

  • Error Log in Direct Input Method of LSMW

    Hello!
We are developing an upload through LSMW using its direct input method for material master. This method is better than the Recording method but the only problem we are having is maintaining the error log. Unlike the recording method, in direct input the system gives an error log but it cant me maintained in a permanent file i.e when we go back to the upload for specifying a new file, the error log of the previous file is gone.
Is there any way that we can maintain the error log in a permanent file? Help needed ASAP!
    Thank You!

  • LSMW -  Standard Batch/Direct Input Method.

    Hi all,
I was trying to create the LSMW for MM01 using standard Batch/Direct Input Method. While I selected object as "0020- Material Master"  I am not able to get the Method for Batch Input. Is there any we can create method for batch input or we have to use only direct input?

You have to use direct input method RMDATIND object 0020 to create materials. You may find batch input very complicated to create materials.

  • Why do I get "Select Input Method" dialog when trying to open tabs on some sites?

This is what I'm experiencing with Firefox mobile on an Android tablet.
On some sites, when I click a button which should open a new tab, I get the "Select Input Method" dialog box. First, I don't know why this dialog is popping up. Second, it is an empty dialog; there is nothing to select, only a heading that says "Select Input Method". When I touch the heading, I get another "Select Input Method" dialog, this time with "Android Keyboard" as the sole item to be selected. It is already selected. Touching it or backing up to dismiss it leaves me on the page I started on. Touching the original button which should open a new tab simply repeats the entire dialog sequence. Backing up from the original, empty dialog, does the same thing.
Once or twice, by magic or something, I was able to get the page to open the new tab. But I cannot confirm what sequence of selecting or backing up out of the dialogs may have led to the correct behavior.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    kbrosnan,
Thanks for the reply. Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
My wife is working on a project so I'm a little light on details. Apparently she figured out that her Javascript is calling ShowModalDialog and this was what was causing the Select Input Method dialog to open. I don't fully understand the details but she's looking for a different way to do this. I believe she said she subsequently found out that the Firefiox mobile browser doesn't support ShowModalDialog.
She's new to mobile web development (and I know nothing about it) so she's kind of feeling her way. If you have a good resource for how the FF Android mobile browser differs from the normal desktop browser, that wouldbe a big help, I think. Otherwise, thanks for you reply and she'll keep plugging away discovering what she needs to change in her program to make it work for mobile.
    Thanks.

  • Uim won't switch input methods[SOLVED]

I'm probably just making a simple mistake but I'm having trouble with uim. I followed the instructions on the wiki about inputting Japanese with uim and I set mozc as the default input method. Yet when I use the keyboard shortcuts to try to switch.... Well that was weird. As I was typing this message I was suddenly given a list of Kanji to select. When I hit backspace it was gone and is now apparently not coming back. Well what I was going to say before that strange event was: I use the keyboard shortcuts but input doesn't change. Anyone have any ideas on what might be going on, what mistake I may have made?
EDIT: You know what? Now it's working. ほらほら! Unfortunately it doesn't work in anything but my browser. Pidgin, Libre-Office, Skype... none of them want to work with it.
EDIT 2: And now, for no reason at all, it ONLY works in Pidgin, not in anything else! Or it did until I typed this line, then I randomly started typing in 日本語 again. Then, when I closed out the preference panel, it stopped working entirely. I've got the preferences open again and it STILL won't work.
EDIT 3: I'm just marking this as solved, I gave up and switched to ibus, it seems to work.

Exactly which troubleshooting steps have you tried?
Does the machine get stuck at that point or does it power off?
Do you have the original install discs?
