Input related random inputs and out of order events

Hi My wife has a Mac Air 4,2
It has been flawless and in good working order, with minimal applications.
All was well until 20th Sept. Immediatly after a system update to 10.7.4 the trackpad began to show strange drag and click problems .. as if the touch pad had become hypersensitive.
This resulted in unable to click, unable to move , drag select always activated.
I managed with alot of patience to disable all the optional trackpad settings for point & click, Scroll & zoom and More Gestures.... but where did more gestures come from ... is that new?
anyway ... the problem was partially solved, the track pad is now usable but still has issues.
so i moved on to physical and noticed that the edges were dirty and the surface i cleaned with a screen wipe and clicked and blew on the trackpad to free any scum trapped on the edges.
I noticed that some of the surface is very polished and, those areas are marginly more senitive than the rougher areas.
a week on I just logged in to another profile and got hit with the same issues ... and a new one ... keyboard input after rebooting: where is it! i had to wait 5 mins for input to come online.
This got me thinking. The problem is not 100% the trackpad, its the signal processing for realtime inputs from the keyboard and trackpad. either there has been a kernal tweak or the driver for the devices is sending too much data resulting in buffering issues. or more likly some kind of out of order buffer processing that is FUBAR'd.
SO i check for an update: 10.7.5 securty update ... installed ... reboot ... at least I get keyboard input this time ... but the trackpad is still misbehaving... what should i do next:
a) Is there a frimware update for the trackpad?
b) Can I disable the new trackpad functionality completely... I dont actually want or need it
c) Wait for the apple team to make further fixes to the kernel and drivers for touch input.
d) go get an apple engineer to do something with the trackpad.... I have 2 weeks left of warrenty.

Thanks for your help. The out of numerical order comes before the actual import begins. It happens when first uploaded to Lightroom and prior selection of of photos to imported to the catalog.

Photos not synced correctly to iphone... Unorganized and out of order

After syncing my Iphone 4s with my macbook pro, all of my "Event" photos are out of order. If I open a specific event there will be photos that do not belong there and have no relation to that event... Same with the "faces" feature... I will specifically look for all pictures with "Mary's" face and majority of the pictures are other people with "Mary" not even in those pictures...
I have looked at my macbook and all of the photos seem to be correct on that and in the right locations... Not sure how to fix this problem or what to do :-/
This is a feature that I use constantly and would appreciate if someone could help guide me to correcting it....

If you are having issues with unusual or incorrect data after a recent sync with iTunes, you may want to turn off the sync options for Photos, click Apply (this should clear that data off the iPhone), then turn Photo syncing back on and Apply again (which should resync all the data back). You may find the Resolution section of the following article helpful (the article primarily concerns a slightly different issue, but the steps are the same):

Problems ungrouping/ images move together and out of order

Using Pages version 5.2. I am currently working on a document with many objects per page. When I am finished with a page I will group all the objects on the page together and it will look just the way I want it. However, if I need to make a corrections, when I click on the page (say page 5) and choose ungroup, all of the images will jump together and some will disappear. Also if there is another page further in the document (say page 10) that I have not grouped the items together on, those items jump up a page and clump together as well. This has been happening to me about 50% of the time on the last two documents that I have been working on.

I noticed the very same thing. I am still collecting data on the phenomenon (to post to Duncan). "Normally" I don't use iTunes U as a tool to change my site (preferring the web service instead)…but I was stuck doing it through iTunes for a specific case (I was uploading content to another school's site…I have permission to upload, but I don't know the site's shared secret, so I have to use iTunes ).
The problem appears to happen any time you use iTunes to re-order tracks. Content is not actually duplicated, rather the description of content might show duplicate entries, or entries that are out of order.

7.3.2 and out of order music CD burning

New with 7.3.2 you cannot burn a music CD in any order other than alphabetical by album name then song name....no matter what the burner says it is doing...IT IS NOT..
no matter how burn controls are set or what order you drag songs to playlist or what column you sort...
eg supposedly if you sort by number the list should play by the way you dragged them. NOT HAPPENING!!
Please fix....I'm not even going to try to use for new DVD music, just use my copied CD's those work...don't know what I'll do when I need other music.

OOPS sorry now I see that alpha list was the way it read into the readers.
Clicking on numerica does get them in 'play' order and it is ok.
Why isn't is read in in play order?.. oh well that is not a biggy at least it will sound right.
Don't know how to delete..so will mark solved..if I can.

Duplicate and out of order photos

I was wondering if anyone knows why my photos in my iphone 4 library when I open them in aperture are in a different order than my library on the phone itself. For some reason when I have synced my phone to my computer in the past it has duplicaed the photos. So I haven't synced in awhile because I have the same photos in my library about 5 or 6 times. I want to delete these duplicate photos and I am trying to find the quickest and easiest way to do that because I have a lot of pics in my library. Thank you for any suggestions!

I now downloaded the latest iphone software update, and the photos are appearing in order, but still as one huge event, with no recognition by iphoto that 99% of these are duplicates.

Music without name and out of order

when i import the cds to itunes, the songs appear without the name ou artist, and they are not together (all tracks 01 from all album are together). does anybody knows how to fix it? when i import the cds to my other computer (with old itunes) the songs from the same album are together and appears the name of the song and artist.

but when i imported with the new software, i got no info.
For clarification, is "the new software" a new version of iTunes or a different program you've started using?
The reason I ask is that, although this hasn't come up for a while, as I recall iTunes only gets information from the CDDB for tracks that have been imported with iTunes.
So if you're using a different application that doesn't tag the files, iTunes would not know or be able to find out what they are.
If you are using iTunes though, here's something for you to try.
Ctrl-click the tracks from one album so that they're all highlighted.
Then go to the iTunes Advanced menu > Get CD Track Names.
What happens?

Too many files in sidebar and out of order

Somehow I've ended up with the entire contents of one of my folders – 200+ files – in my sidebar. What did I press to do that?
The problem is – how do I get rid of them? There does not appear any way to select them all at once. Doing it one at a time will be awfully slow.
Also, they are in reverse alphabetical order and I can't find any way to change that.
Any suggestions?

You could delete the com.apple.sidebarlists.plist file, located in your user's Library/Preferences folder.

ITunes U courses listings out of order? Hegarty - Coding Together

Paul Hegarty's iTunes U course named "Coding Together - Apps for iPhone and iPad" lists its courses in a confusing order, it seems. (See image below). The number system is inconsistently applied and out of order, the dates are jumbled, etc.
How can I know what order to take the courses? (Believe me, I've tried to find the answer before posting this).

B10 build TableView row selection causes columns to stretch out of order

When running the following css on a tableRow to change the selected highlight colour. If you have 50 of more rows and need to use the arrow keys to scroll the columns become stretched and out of order

Could you please post a bug in the JavaFX Jira at http://javafx-jira.kenai.com. If you file it under the 'runtime' section against the 'controls' component, it will be looked at as soon as possible. Ideally you'd include a small test application as an attachment.

Any quick way of deleting the "sticky" I and O points in Events?

The sticky In and Out points in Events can be useful but there are times I would lke to remove them.
Is there a quick way other than by grabbing each point and dragging it to the start or end of the clip?

He com-ple-te-ly misses the advantages of that new, different GUI!
(e.g. he's still thinking in/using 'tracks', and is shy off secondary storyline. compound clips, multicam etc)
I well remember when being confronted with the new paradigms 5y ago (iMovie08) - it was in my opinion a complete weird interface.
meanwhile, although just hobby usage, I'm 'flying' thru projects
and the new vers.06, allowing to set multiple selections in a clip, will optimize my editing-process again by factor 500% (I just have to teach me the new keyboard shortcuts).

This is fundamental, I know, but nevertheless I can't find my way around it. I get this error message when trying to recor:

I have defined the sample rate to 44.1/16 bit in accordance with my inbuild soundcardt.
I am trying to record from LineIn.
When running on a M-Audio sound card I don't face any problems.

You're sure you have set BOTH the input and output settings to 44.1 16 bit?
Which version of Windows are you running? There are a number of posts on this forum about how to fully access both the Windows Mixer and the Mixer for your soundcard. Especially, you need to ensure that all "Windows Sounds" are turned OFF.

In our organisation we have DC running on Windows 2008 R2 server along with more than 1000 clients.
We recently procured around 600 new desktop, which are shipped with Windows 8.1 OS.
Now the issue is
Hence we can't create GPP for IE 10, we have created a GPP for IE 10 from a Windows 8.1 client, but that policy wasn't get pushed to the all other client machine.
We have tried replacing the ADMX & ADML template in our server to push the GPP, still it doesn't worked.
When we expand the GPP we get the following error message.
"An invalid or out of place input element was detected and will be ignored."
Due to this we are unable to push the GPP for around 600 machines, need your assistance.

As like the blog page you have shared; I am trying to imply proxy settings for the client machines running with IE11, Hence I have created GPP in one of a Windows 8.1 client machine and noticed it wasn't working (as they are not compatible with the
IE 10 and above) in windows 2008 server to push the GPP.
Based on the Microsoft forums I to replaced the ADMX and ADML files in my Windows Server 2008, for getting the GPP created for IE 10.
Answering your question, I get that error messages only in my Windows 2008R2, as they dont aware about those settings.
The WindowsServer OS version is irrelevant for applying/pushing GPP.
We use WS2003 DC's with GPP (GPP settings for IE11 created with Win8.1 RSAT/GPMC) and it all works perfectly.
Check your GPP settings with Win8.1 - have you correctly set the "enabled/disabled" by using F5/F6/F7/F8 ?
