Input settings on a DVR670KU

Is it possible to set the DVR so that it will not automatically start playing either a DVD or a Video when it is turned on?
I have a Roku which I have input into the DVR through the L1 input on the back of the DVR.  When I turn the DVR power on it starts playing the Video if one is in place or a DVD if one is there, depending on how the DVD/VCR is set.  If I stop whatever is playing, the L1 works just fine.

I don't believe there's a way to change this.

  • Invalid input settings

I'm recording multiple tracks of drums going into an Alesis XT20. Out of that I'm digitally into bank B of a MOTU 2408 audio interface. That is going firewire into the pci-424e card and into my G5Quad. I'm also monitoring thru the 2408 via a small mixer. After recording 8tracks of drums, I go back to the head of the song with the tracks still in record mode. When I press play, I get the error message "invalid input settings 10021" After pressing enter, one of the tracks pops out of record and the tracks play. THEN when I press stop, the same message arises. ?????????? Very annoying to have to pop out of record mode on my Mackie Universal Control just to monitor tracks. I've got the clock source set to Adat bank B?????

Part of my setup is identical to what you describe.
    I've not seen that error
If you disarm recording on all tracks of the Alesis do you still get the warning?
Are you controlling the Alesis from inside Logic using MMC?
If so does disarming record in Logic stop the error.
I have always switch record arm off whenevre I playback, so if that is relevant I don't know.

ps technically spaking, to be pedantic, the connection is MOTU AUdio wire, not Firewire. The pdi card keeps the firewire bus free.

FMLE 3.2 crashes on certain input settings like 640x480 while is OK on others like 544x288 or 1920x1080. Windows 7. All drivers updated.
I've googled for an answer to this question and no one knows why. Thought I'd try ONE more time in this forum. Anyone?

  • S/pdif input settings?

I can't find any information in the Logic 8 manual to change my input settings to s/pdif.
I am using an MBox2Pro with a Grace Design Lunatec V3 which offers s/pdif as the highest quality route for A/D conversion.
    Help!

    Thanks for the reply.
I found it in "i/o labels" on the mixer page - chose s/pdif for inputs 5 and 6. Working fine now.
I was having some clock issues as well and thought I had to change the MIDI sync but that wasn't the case, it was a matter of having the Grace at 48 kHz and Logic at 44.1. They didn't like each other at all with those settings...

  • How do I input settings?

I have been given a blackberry settings without instructions on where to input them. I need to input the gateway IP address, port number and session type, I have managed to find the place to input the APN. Also is there anywhere I can get a user manual instead of that cheap 'getting started guide?

All these ways are undocumented/hidden. Mostly these settings should be added by Service Plans that we need to pay for. So having GPS and WI-Fi means almost nothing, because you can't use all the app and open all web sites that you want.

  • Keyboard Input Settings do not save

Have a recurring issue of my settings in System Preferences->International-> Input Menu not saving.
Normally I have set English and then 2 Japanese input methods. Work fine and I am able to scroll through them with input switcher app. However whenever I restart computer the two Japanese input methods disappear and I have to manually turn them on again. Any help on getting them to stay permanently?

Did the same problem exist before you had installed inputswitcher.app?

  • No audio input settings

I've been trying to record my DJ sets with my Mac Mini (OSX 10.4.11). I'm running an 1/8" jack to the audio in/out port on my mini and I get no response.
I originally had Soundflower as an option in my Sound preferences. That wasn't working so I reinstalled the Soundflower software. Now I'm getting no options at all in my Sound Input panel.
I'm not set on using any specific software, I just want to be able to make the input work.
    Thank you!

jt, there's no "audio in/out" port on recent minis: there's _one in_ and _one out_. The IN port is furthest from the edge. Is that the one you're trying?

  • Audio input settings help

I am using a Canon XL-1, and recorded in 4 channel audio with the built in stereo mic on the camera, (channel 1 & 2, it is a stereo mic), and a wireless mic on the subject (channel 3). I know that FireWire can not support more than two audio tracks, but is there a way that I can tell FCE to capture from channel 3 & 4 instead of channels 1 & 2.
I can not find a place anywhere to change the audio input setting in the capture presets or easy setup presets.
Sorry I have to vent a little bit. Feel free to skip the next paragraph since it is irrelevant to the question.
So far I have not been impressed with the intuitiveness of this software. It seems like setting windows are spread out all over the place, sometimes even in different applications (QuickTime?). Also the user manual has all of these parts about standard practices, but very little useful information about the technical functions of the software. I am not afraid of Pro Software but I feel like am using Aldus Freehand again.

    The short answer is No.
FCE only allows capture of the first stereo pair.
You could try an analogue dub to another camera to grab the second stereo pair then import to FCE.
I do know that third party applications can do it. I can't recall the names.
Last time I fiddled with iMovie I could hear the four channels. As iMovie uses a muxed format I'm not sure if you can split the audio successfully. IMO, best to leave iMovie alone and capture and work in FCE.

  • I clicked on digital input settings and i do not have sound and cannot uncheck the settings.

How to I reset the original settings? Thanks.

Think of your PC and the 'temporary internet folder' where it keeps cached copies of web pages or elements off a web page for 'quicker display the next time you visit'. That's pretty much what that folder is. 1.5K is tiny. Probably just a basic page with some text on it. (you might be confusing 1.5K with 1.5 megabyte....megabyte is large...it's roughly 1000 kilobytes, so the 1.5K is a tiny file)
As far as I know, the only way info gets into that folder is if the browser has been to that site.
if you have a concern there are browsers out there, McGruff is one i've seen recommended, that allow some degree of parental control and supervision. That or you could passcode lock the iPad or enable the restrictions to turn off some parts of the device to have some control.

  • Line input settings

I have selected line input in my audio preferences and set the recording level and at that stage I can see that the internal mic has been by passed. However when I go to garage band only the internal mic is active. What am I doing wrong or do I need some kind of interface? I realise that this question is very basic! Thanks to anyone who can help.

  • Input and Publish settings for 8mm film using PreRes422.mov

I'm using Premiere 12 on Windows 8.  I just got a sample from the company that converted 8mm film to 720HD ProRes422.mov onto a DVD.
I loaded into Premiere 12 without problem and can see, edit and publish.
However, what would be the best Input settings?
Also, I plan to burn to play on a BluRay player for my HDTV.  What would be the best Publish settings?
Any other settings or adjustment I should use to improve the image?

    AlanKL
Good news. That footage is not AVCHD.avi. What you have is MotionJPEG.avi which is usually not good news for Premiere Elements. But, if you can import it in the first place, let us give it a go.
The video is 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 frames per second. The GSpot codec program does not tell us if interlaced or progressive. The way to determine that for sure is with the MediaInfo readout.  But, let us try to avoid that with a "try and see" approach.
    1. Open Premiere Elements 12 to its Expert workspace, and import your video into the project with Premiere Elements' Add Media/Files and Folders/Project Assets. From Project
Assets, drag the video to the Timeline. Does it have an orange line over its content? If no, then our project preset stays at
    NTSC
    AVCHD
    Full HD 1080i30
And, we have the correct project preset. What does the playback in the Edit area monitor look like?
If there is an orange line over the Timeline content, we don't have the right project preset. So, close that project, and open a new one.
    2. In the new Premiere Elements 12 project to its Expert workspace, with the File Menu/New/Project route, manually set the project preset for
    NTSC
    DSLR
    1080p
    DSLR 1080p30@ 29.97
Then import the video into the project with Premiere Elements' Add Media/Files and Folders/Project Assets. From Project Assets, drag the video to the Timeline. Does it
have an orange line over its content? If no, then our project preset stays at
    NTSC
    DSLR
    1080p
    DSLR 1080p30@ 29.97
There will be no colored line over the Timeline content if we have the right project preset. What does the playback in the Edit area monitor look like?
At this point, please let us know the results, and we will decide what next.
    Thanks.

  • Unable to Give Input for my Program in JDEV 11g(11.1.1.3.0)

I'm using Windows 7_Ultimate -32 Bit OS with Administrator Priviliges

    package appln;

    System.out.println("Enter a value into variableID");
    int id = so.nextInt();
    System.out.println("Variable ="+id);
I'm getting the following errors in "Extensions" Sub window of Output window

The MAIN purpose of the program is to Accept input into variable named id and display to output.
Program Compiled Successfully but while the program is running,
Out put is "Enter a value into variableID"
And i'm unable to give input i.e unable to place cursor to give input
Also i've configured the Input Settings as Mentioned in the BLOG at "http://blogs.oracle.com/shay/2008/02/enabling_user_input_when_runni.html"
Even though the same thing thing is being repeated
But when i've run the program in NET BEANS IDE 6.9.1, the program is compiled and runned well.

John Stegeman WROTE: " Any way to avoid what, exactly?"
I mean that every time we need to insert the cursor into INPUT field using mouse then input the value and press enter.
But for large input's it becomes tedious to each time place the cursor in Input field.
SO i meant to avoid this.
    How can i avoid this.
Also you've mentioned me to run program's out of JDEV, if i do so i will be mising the Beauty and Advanced Capabilities of "ORACLE JDEV 11G".
So i can't use any other IDE Than JDEV.
Also can we Modify the way JDEV prompts for input's rather than this INPUT Field i.e by enabling the user input field for every program.
    If there any, please mention.
Thanks for help in advance :)

  • Problems recording external inputs

My setup: Mac Pro dual 2.66 GHz, 5G Ram, OS 10.5.5, LogicPro 7.2.3; Yamaha 01x interface conn. to Mac w/ mLan Firewire; Yamaha Motif Classic conn. to 01x w/ line inputs; Fantom XR Rack conn. to Mac w/Digital Coaxial; 2 Event TR8 Monitors conn. w/ unbalanced RCA from 01x monitor outs. I store all my Logic files on an external Firewire hard drive which has at least 2 Gigs of space remaining. Neither the Motif or Phantom are connected to the 01x w/ MIDI.
I was previously running Logic 7.2.3 w/ my 01x, Motif and Fantom w/ a Mac G5 Dual running OS 10.4. I just bought a brand new Mac Pro preloaded w/ OS 10.5.5. I migrated LogicPro from my old hard drive to the new one and downloaded the latest mLan AutoConnector driver from Yamaha.
PROBLEM: When I arm my Motif or Fantom to record (each 1 at a time), and play notes, a popping sound occurs every 20 seconds or so. When I record the signal, the popping noise can be heard on playback. I am sure my patch input settings are correct. I have tried using both mLan ports on the 01x, switched out monitor cables, as well as my motif input cables - same problem. When I monitor the 01x, the motif input comes through as normal w/ no popping, so I know my cables and physical mixer inputs are good. When I play previously recorded files, everything comes through fine as well.
What could possibly be the problem?

My problem appears to have been solved. When I was hearing the clicks and pops, the mLan cable from my 01x was connected to the Firewire 400 port on the FRONT of my MacPro. I connected it to the Firewire 400 port on the back of the MacPro, and no more pops.
I thought I had tried this before and it didn't work, but it seems to be working fine now.
