Inquiry End Point for UDDI Connection

Hello --
Does anyone know if there is a default UDDI Inquiry Endpoint URL that can be invoked when using Oracle Application Server/Portal?
I've been unable to get in touch with our administrator, and am trying to set up a test web service.

The main problem I have is trying to use a UDDI server with BPEL to browse available web services.
I am also experiencing general integration problems with JDeveloper. I can create a connection to the UDDI registry, and find web services, but attempting to create java stubs from the web service results in errors.

Custom text component with different start and end points for each line

I'm trying to create a custom component extending textArea in which each individual line in the textArea would have different start and end points. For example, the start/end points for line 1 might be 20 pixels in the front and 35 pixels at the end but start/end points for line 2 might be 25 pixels in front and 20 pixels at the end, etc. These boundary values would be passed in. The width of the entire textArea component would be a fixed size. The result would be something like this:
Jack and Jill
ran up the hill
to fetch a pail of water
depending on the boundary values of each individual line of course. The custom component would take a string and render it in the text component with the appropriate individual line start and end points. I'm trying to do this by adding the text component to the display with the passed in string and then adding in spaces in the beginning of each line and adding a "/n" at the end of the line wherever appropriate based on the start and end values for that line.
Just wondering if I'm on the right track and if anyone has any advice on this.

What do you have selected when you assign the marker? It
shouldn't apply to all the markers on the whole graph unless you have all the existing markers selected when you apply the new one.
Assigning marker designs is exactly analogous to assigning bar graph designs.
If you have a single marker selected when you assign the new design, it will apply to only that graph data point.
If you use the group select tool (or option-click with the direct select tool) to reclick on an already-selected marker until all the markers for the same line are selected, and then assign a design, the new design will apply only to the selected line. (You can extend the graph by adding more rows, and the new data points will inherit the marker for the line they are on.)

End point for Effects

Is there a way to get the exact X and Y coordinates for an objects's location at the end of an effect? Also, is it possible to somehow see the animation happening in the main timeline without having to preview it? With the way the effects seem to work, it's very difficult to place things on screen when you don't know their exact end location point.

Nope. No math needed. If you want to know exactly where the shape is going to end up (again ±1 pixel since you can't snap the motion path end points) and what it's going to look like in terms of spacing around other objects then using a same sized smart shape with a crosshair image works pretty well. I personally like this method because you can also see the starting point or any in-between points if you'd like. You can also change the smart shape to whichever shape you'd like and the crosshairs will still aim at the center.
As for rotating objects I've never done it either but that doesn't mean someone else might not have a reason to. But here's a couple screenshots showing an animation of an arrow flying in hitting a surface and bouncing back off. Since you can use the actual shape to visually see where the object will begin and end you do not need math. Aewu, this is just a very crude example I just made up when I got in this morning but hopefully you can see a few more possibilities.

High End camera for Adobe Connect??

I use a small 3 CCD Sony DCR-HC1000 miniDV camcorder on a 7" tabletop tripod (with tilt arm) so I can get good views of everyone around the conference table. It's nice to be able to easily adjust exposure, since I use rooms with windows and have a wide variety of skin tones among my participants. I use firewire to a laptop for video and Universal Voice with a Polycom SoundStation 1000 for audio.

Configure End Point for Guided Procedures

Hello experts,
I am creating a Guided Procedure that needs to retrieve data from the Backend system (ECC 6.0). The portal is installed as a JAVA plugin on the same machine (7.0).
When I choose <i>Connection Defined by System Landscape Directory (SLD)</i>, the <b>SLD Connection Name</b> is asked for. Where can I find this property?
The SLD is not setup on the portal but is centralized on the SAP Solution Manager machine.

Do you have an SLD configured? If not you need to do this in Visual Administrator first.
But you can also specify an endpoint without an SLD, you can select Connection Defined by User, and enter the details of the backend system, which I assume you know.

Transitions - setting start/end points for a Title

Hello,
just started using iMovie & I have 2 clips that I want to super a title over through the edit. Clip one fades to black, while clip 2 fades up from black. I would like to have a title appear as clip 1 is starting its fade, continue while clip 2 is fading up to full picture.
When I attempt this, the title starts where I place the play head at the end of clip 1, but clip 2 does not start until the title ends. The title ends up completely over black (NOT selected)... Is the program capable of this effect?

Glad to hear its a supported function. I have a hard cut between clip 1 & 2. The clips have fades out/in built in already & there is audio as well. I am trying to place the title over the fade out of clip 1 through the fade up in clip 2.
And you say "Over black" is not checked when you add
your title?
YES! over black is unchecked.
I did NOT use Edit>Split Video Clip at Playhead. however, after deleting the no-working effect... I see the clip was split.

End point configuration

Hi Experts,
I am facing a situation in which i have a WSDL from a non sap system with server(from which this wsdl is coming) host name say "xyz". I am trying to consume this service in WD JAVA.
Now this server host name("xyz") is a part of URL of the WSDL. Is there any way i can configure the end points for this service so that in case if we change the server name or server ip, say from "xyz" to "abc", we dont have to made any changes in our coding. May be some configuration some where.
It will be really helpful if anyone can provide me with a optimum solution.

I see. OK, then here it is in short how it would work with Service Groups.
At design-time:
1. When you import the service in order to create the Adaptive WD Web Service Model (doesn't matter from where, e.g. you can also use WSDL URL), on one of the steps of the wizard, you have to choose a service group - let's say you create a new service group "NonSAPServices"
2. You develop your application, build and deploy it
At configuration-time in NWA:
1. First you have to create a provider system connection - here you specify the concrete WSDL URL that is to be used at runtime. If your host changes, the only thing you have to do is to change the URL here. You might also need to specify here a user/pass for the WSDL if it is protected.
2. In case you want to authenticate to the non-SAP service with a technical service user, i.e. all calls will be made on behalf of that user, you have to create a User Account and assign it to the provider you have created in step1
3. Assign the provider system to the service group in Application Communication.

Watch Folder End Point Problem

I'm currently evaluating LiveCycle ES and having problems with watched folder end point.
I use the Sample - Barcoded Forms: RouteOnDataEntry process and have added and configured the watched folder end point for the process.
When I copy the RouteOnDataEntry PDF form to input folder, it manage to pick up the file, but the PDF is moved to failure folder. Here is the information I get from the failure.log:

Playing Quicktime with Multiple Start End Points

Hello
I posted a message a few days which I received help on
regarding starting and ending a Quicktime movie from various points
in the movie. Now I have a new problem which I cannot fix at all..
Here is the problem:
I have a Quicktime movie on stage and 10 various buttons that
contain a generic script which allows input of start and end points
for each button to trigger the movie. Initially just doing this
with one button is successful.
However, multiple buttons all with the same generic code make
the movie freeze up completely. My guess is that they are all
fighting each other for control. Maybe I need something in the code
which allows the button that is being used to play the movie to
keep control.

Defining End point

Hi all,
I have a standalone XI 2.0 and my scenario is
file - XI - idoc (R/3)
i have the flat file in my XI box and im using inbound file adapter.
but i have a problem in defining the end point .
im getting an error message like
end point not defined for the sender system
my sender system is XI and my receiver system is R/3
im using file inbound adapter and idoc outbound adapter.
i have defined the end point for the receiver system as idoc.
wht will be my sender system endpoint .
if any has any idea pls help me.

Hi Shree,
Yes, it's true that in your case the flat file my in fact reside on the XI machine. However, from an XI point of view, you must still register the file adapter first within the SLD and then do the appropriate configuration within XI as Bjorn mentioned. Consider a situation where you may have a file to file scenario with XI performing transformation in the middle...in this case you need two "logical" systems here even though they are installed on the same physical box. One for the first file adapter instance and another for the second file adapter instance.

I have issues with opening end point port 2121 for FTP?
This is steps what I did:
1. create end point for 2121 port in azure public/private add ACL 0.0.0.0/0
2.in windows 2012 firewall create rule to allow 2121 port
3.test local port (working)
4. test public port not working
Please help, how can I open public 2121 port. so I can access to FTP server on 2121 port ?

It pretty much looks like you are following the correct steps. Also I have reproduced the same scenario in my lab and it very much works.
However I suggest you to try the following :
Disable the firewall and check if you are able to access
Delete and Recreate the Endpoints

Support for TLS-DSK Authentication in UCMA End Point connections?

The Lync servers support NTLM, Kerberos, TLS-DSK as supported Authentication Protocols.
However, it appears that UCMA API when used in the End Point connection mode does not provide an option to use TLS-DSK as an authentication scheme. Is there any way to connect to a Lync server that only supports TLS-DSK as an authentication protocol?

No, UCMA only supports NTLM/Kerberos. TLS-DSK requires HTTP requests which UCMA can not currently handle.

We are using Systinet as our UDDI product and trying to use UDDI lookup in our BPEL process as well. I have completed the below tasks
1) Configured the Systinet UDDI Inquiry URL and the development soap endpoint in the SOA Infrastructure Common properties in soa server 11g. Did not provide the user-id and
password.
2) Restarted the servers so that the changes are effective.
3) In Jdeveloper 11g, Created a connection with UDDI Registry.
4) Created a sample BPEL process using Jdeveloper 11g that calls an already registered webservice in UDDI. This lookup web service has 3 different end
points (Dev, QA and Prod) and a binding of wsdlDeployment use type. The binding points to the actual wsdl Physical location.

2)     Not able to determine the root cause for the SRHttpAccessPointNotFoundException error observed. Please refer the above log for details.

What is Oracle’s recommendation for a services invocation framework between BPEL, JEE and ESB containers? From a quick read of Oracle Technet website, WSIF seem to be the preferred framework for this purpose. However, from an equally quick survey of such frameworks in use today outside of Oracle, WSIF does not seem to enjoy any widespread developer community support anymore and all talk in public forum seem to point to newer Apache Frameworks such as CXF which support emerging standards such as JAX-WS 2.0 What is the current stand of Oracle with respect to this matter?

Issue with variable while in a PSSession connected to an end point

Ok so Ive put together a simple script that will allow our helpdesk to look at permissions on a specified folder or share adn display in a nice html page. I need it to run under different credentials so I set up an endpoint which I can connect to remotely
and run the script. The issue is in the variable that needs to get set. It prompts for the folder location and once you put it in, it just freezes up. If I run the script locally its fine and works perfectly. but running it in the remote
session connected to an end point, it just doesnt do anything once you put in the information after it prompts you. For testing also I set the $folderpath to a specific path and it does run fine through a remote session so its just an issue passing
that input back to the variable while in the remote session. Any idea?

Change the end point URL in WSDL for web-service

Morning , could someone please help us with this question, we are stuck with this currently.
In SOA Suite 10g as well 11g we have a jsimple Java class whose one of the methods is exposed as a web service.
In the project it has created the WSDL as well and have deployed the .ear file to the servers from EM console successfully.
Now we need to migrate this web service to testing & production environments.
1. Could someone please let us know the steps as to how do we change the end point url in the WSDL for this web service (present in web content --> WEB-INF/wsdl path in the j-developer project) for migration in case of both 10g (OC4J) as well 11g (WLS) servers.
2. Also could this change/update be done prior to deployment as well as post deployment as well.
Looking forward to inputs regards this...as we are stuck with this ..would be very helpful

As Vijay mentioned, you develop a WebService in JDeveloper and test in JDeveloper integrated Weblogic Server say at http://localhost:7101/MyWebService/MyPort?wsdl. Thats it. Once it is working. Export it into a .WAR file. If you have any other supporting EJB JARs etc, put all these into a full blown .EAR at application level. NOW deploy this .EAR or .WAR into any Domain on any host and any port. DOES not matter. That server's host and port will be taken. Infact even if this other domain is Clustered domain, still it will work by giving webserver host and webserver port that sits in front of the cluster.
I develop my webservices in JDeveloper and test at 7101 port. This .WAR gets deployed in QC Env at qchost:qcport. Same .WAR deployed to UAT at uathost:uatport and finally to prod also at prodhost:prodport.
Its just the Client (WebService Proxy) that is calling this WebService need to use appropriate host and port based on which Env it is connecting to. For this, simply do not hard code WSDL URL in the java code or anywhere. Simply get it from a .properties file using a key value pair like this.
WSDL_URL=http://host:port/MyWebService/MyPort?WSDL.
Now have Environment specific values for above key and put that properties file in that domain root folder. And in your code always refer this key.
You can use many approaches along the above lines.
If your WebServies proxy is a webservice adapter say within bpel, still you can modify the value using deployment plan .xml file file while deploying.
I would not absolutely prefer opening war file from ear and modifying war and updating ear file etc etc. Also do not have multiple EARs for Environment specific. Just have only one single EAR or WAR file that can be deployed to any environment.
