INS0034 when installing the runtime
Hello
We are working with OWB and we have the following problem. We have one database where we have installed the repository and the runtime. In there we have four users (rep,runt,acc,target). We have some projects in this database and now we want to migrate some of them to another database instance on the same server.
1. What is the best way to do it? We have installed a new repository in this database and created a new repository user (starep). But when I tried to create the runtime repository an INS0034 error appears.
2. Is it possible to have only one design repository and several target users? If this is the case, how can I do it? (We have two database instances on the same machine. On one of the database instances we installed the Design repository and the runtime).
Not sure what version of OWB/DB you are using and what is your configuration (do you have everything on thr same machine or you have the client on one machine, while the server (target) is on another). Could you please specify?
Usually this message appears if you try to install the runtime repository on a server side environment where the server side install has not been performed yet.
With the current OWB production version (10.1.0.x), it is in theory possible to have one design repository and multiple target schemas, but it is not recommended, as this version does not have the multi configuration feature (design once - deploy many in target environments with different physical configurations). The next major release (first semester of 2005) will have this feature.
Currently, for situations where you have to manage 'cloned' environments (dev-test-prod) the recommended approach is to have one design repository per target and keep the design repositories in sync with mdl export/imports.

When installing the latest version of our software, which has the CrRuntTime_12_1.msm integrated into the installation, onto an XP sp2 machine, many of the DLL's failed to install with:

and many more
We had to download the runtime installer and run that for it to work (suppose we could have manually regsvr32'd many of them)
Is this going to keep happening with our other clients ?

It's something Dave Hilton found with the XI 3.1 runtimes, caused by a change in a Microsoft process that prevents us from including components from those msm's.

I receive a massage that a new version of ITunes was available (11.1.4). I proceeded to update, the download went ok but when installing the Message “Service ’Apple Mobile Device’ failed to start, verify that you have sufficient Privileges to start system Services”
On pressing retry I got the same message.
On pressing Ignore, I got the message “ITunes was not installed correctly, please reinstall ITunes – Error 7 – (windows error 126)
I reinstalled with the same error messages and the same results.
I uninstalled existing and reinstalled from scratch and the same error messages again.
I try to repair and at the end it said it had installed correctly – but when it tried to start I got the message “This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem” I now get the same message when I first start the computer but when I press ok I receive ““ITunes was not installed correctly; please reinstall ITunes – Error 7 – (windows error 126)” again.
It appears the update has not only corrupted the operating system (Xp Pro SP3) of my computer but I have no backups to my IPhone, my wife’s IPhone or the three others phones that use my computer.

Yours sincerely! I just bought a Sony DCR-SD1000 camera only when installing the cd drivers not supported by the operating system Machintosh. I've contacted the seller said the store did not provide for the apple os. How can I move all the files on the camera the port out is to use a USB data cable to a laptop for my macbookpro can not read the contents of the file and the camera. I also want to use the lens on the camera as a substitute for the embedded camera on my macbookpro, what should I do to replace the embedded camera on macbookpro with sony camera so that the camera could be more variety and can I record when I turned macbookpro . "Error when interpreting the runtime repository" BSP Component workbench
Hello,
I have enhance the Component BP_HEAD_SEARCH under some enhancement set in my development system. After transporting all my changes to Quality system, when checking the same development in BSP_WD_CMPWB it is showing an error -- "Error when interpreting the runtime repository" for the same component and enhancement set.
I have copied the repository.xml file from the development and again transported it to Quality system, even then the same error is coming.
Could anyone please suggest how to remove it Quality system, the error is not coming in Development system.

find the enhancement Z_* bsp application ,compare it with SAP bsp application.
if the XML file lost,
add the xml file toZ_* BSP application..
If it doesnt work leave it as it is.It will not affect your system.In our system also there is a same error .

Hi All,
I have created an enhancement for ICWC component ICCMP_BP_DETAIL.
While trying to diplay this using trn BSP_WD_CMPWB , I am getting the message

What is the reason behind this? Also while testing this application the web page that
opens up remains blank...

"Error when interpreting the runtime repository" for IUICOBJD component
Hello experts,
I create an enhancement set for IUICOBJD component, and the systems return my the error:
"Error when interpreting the runtime repository"
Then in ICWEB, this enhancement affect to the view connectionObject. And this view doesn't appear.
Someone had some problems to create an enhancement set for IUICOBJD component ??
Is necesary to make somenthing with IUICOBJ component before to create the enhancement for IUICOBJD.
Could you tell me the steps to solve this??

Do you know if is necesary to make something special to create an enhancement for IUICOBJD component ?? make something first with IUICOBJ and then with IUICOBJD???
I haven't any problems with other components for example with IUICMD the enhancement run ok.

Error when installing the Integration Kit for SAP

When installing the integration Kit I get the following error:
The installation of BO XI Integration for SAP Solutions cannot continue because WACS has been installed with BO Enterprise.
i have seen in BO-SAp Integration Kit Installation Error that I have to had selected the point Install Tomcat application server option, but I was not asked to.
I'm following the blog BusinessObjects and SAP - Part 1 of 4, and my installation screens are similar but not equal. for example, I fon't have the installation type new, but the quickk type. And I cannot select the database, too.
Of course the screen asking about the Web Application server with the option of installing the tomcat application server doesn't appear.
What have I done wrong?
What is the solution? Reinstalling everything but doing what?

Yes, it is BO Edge.
I have deinstalled the BO Edge sw and now I have installed it again. This time I have selected the export installation type and I have select the TOMCAT. The installation has finished successfully, but when installing the SAP integration Kit, I have the same problem. The message about the WACS already installed appears again.
What else can I do?

I have the Oracle Database 11g installed, but when I try to istall the developer, it gives me this error: "Oracle Developer Suite 10g cannot be installed into an existing Oracle9i 9.2.0.1.0 oe higher Oracle Home", Although I have installed the same thing twice before and it was working.

If you are linux-unix level you are making installation wiht same user of Oracle Db11g? Did you try to create new Oracle_home and set it before start installation?

We need to run the OWB Runtime Assistant Tool from the database server where we are to install the Runtime Repository and also the user with which it needs to be created should have the SYSDBA privileges. We run the OWB Runtime Assistant tool and then follow the subsequent instructions.

I am not understand the fact that the runtime repository should 'own' the target schema ?? what does this mean ???

When installing the new iTunes software, the message : "the older version of apple software update cannot be removed." What should I do? I tried deleting files related through control panel or the manual way, but it doesn't work. Am I missing something?
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) downloaded from the Apple Website:
