I want to insert a new field in SRM portal . When weclick Order status --> we will get ssome fields......
i want to insert a field called name on whose behalf the SC is creted if they select BOBO option.

SNOTE is a transaction to implement OSS SAP notes on SAP system.
Nevertheless, for two notes indicated, they are how-to: you don't have to implement them but you have to read them on the SAP marketplace.
User and login are mandatory: ask them to your team leader.
But i am not sure those notes are relevant for Enterprise Portal.

Field Authorization on SRM Portal

Hi Experts,
There is field on SRM Portal in Shopping Cart Screen. We need to restrict access for this field. For this we need to create an authorization object so that it can be used in a role. Later that role will be used in UI_CONTROL_BADI to enable / disable access of that field.
Can anybody guide me how this can be achieved?

SRM Portal - Search help for a custom field

Hi,
I have added a custom field to the SRM Portal (5.0) shopping cart, by adding the field to structures INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_SC.
However, I need to filter the search help for that custom field, based on values & relationships stored in a Z table.
Is this possible? How? Please help.

Currently, my idea would be to create a search help for the custom field & filter the values in a search help exit. However, would I be able to get other field values (standard) from SRM into my search help exit?

Custom field not appearing in Japanese language in some pages of SRM portal

Hi,
We have a requirement to add a customer field(a check box) to the shopping cart. To do this we have enhanced a Webdynpro component along with the desired changes in the shopping cart header table.
The problem that we are facing is that, this custom field appears perfectly fine in the SRM portal in English language. However, in Japanese language(By changing the language settings in the browser), we find that the check box label is not displayed in certain views, and is displayed in some other views (Note that the check box is visible in both views). I believe that this problem is not related to translation.
Kindly help us if you are aware of a solution to this problem.

Although this note is for SRM 6.0,you can check the required settings.
Also as mentioned in note Note 672960 - User-defined fields 2,please carry the foll steps:
If you define fields for the first time, the system generates a screen for the display. If you create or delete fields, the screen must be regenerated. To do this, start report BBP_DYNPROS_GENERATE, change the proposed program to SAPLBBP_PDH_CUF and execute the report. Select the checkbox for the screens with the descriptions BBP_PDS_HCF for the table-like fields at the header and/or with the description BBP_PDS_ICF for the table-like fields at the item. You can use the 'Copy' button to enforce a regeneration of the screens.

Data entered in the custom field in the SRM portal not getting saved..

Hi Experts,
I have added a custom field in Contract Screen of the SRM portal by adding the field as an append structutre in structure INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_CTR.
The custom field now appears in the header (basic data ) of the 'Process contract' screen.
NOw It allows me to enter data in the custom field .
The problem is ..
When I 'CHECK' or "RELEASE' the contract, the value entered in the custom field disappears..
How do i capture the data entered in the custom field ...please HElp!!!

We have upgraded our SRM system from 3.0 to 5.5
I have added the custom field in structures INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_CTR and
INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF as the field has to appear in the basic data tab of 'Process Contract'.
Regarding debugging:
1. I tried to debug in BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI by calling the FM BBP_PD_CTR_GETDETAIL. inside the badi and the parameter e_header of the function module contained the custom field but had no value...!!
2. I tried to debug the badi BBP_CUF_BADI_2 method MODIFY_INPUT..
The import variable iv_fieldname contains the field name amd the variable iv_value has the value entered in the custom field .........but another import structure ls_header also contains the custom field but no value....
Method MODIFY_INPUT has only one export parameter ev_value,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!!!!!!!!!!!!

Custom screen field in the SRM portal screen for Business Partner Bidder

I need to add a custom screen field in the SRM portal screen for Business Partner. I have added this custom field in the include structure: CI_EEW_BUT000 and activated it.
I was expecting to see the enhanced field available in the SRM portal screen when I create the bidder. But is not available.
The new field are available if I edit an Business partner only.

No F1 help option like that available ..you may need to go back to the BADI and depending on which structure it is which you can see in DOC_CHANGE Badi you will see the description ..of those fields
which can help you to udnerstand a bit more on what the field is about ..
Since the fields are generally self explanatory and intuitive SAP has probably not provided an option of F1` help like that in MM .

Calendar help for Date i/p field in SRM 5.0 shopping cart

I am working on SRM 5.0..I have a requirement for the addition of custom field ie. lease termination date field on SRM shopping cart screen and having a calendar help for this date input field.

Disable custom field in SRM SUS in PO / POR item level

HI all,
We are using SRM 5.0, ECC6.0 and ECS scenario.
We have a requirement where a custom field in SUS portal has to be disabled for a certain condition.
I have checked for BADIs which could help me achieve this but none are available.
BADIs such as CUF BADI are not getting called while navigating through SUS PO and POR.
Please let us know if there are other ways through which we can achieve this.

I use SRM 7.0 i don't know if in 5.0 is equal, but what i would do in 7.0 is;
Add the custom fields in the view /SAPSRM/V_MDF_IC for itmes or /SAPSRM/V_MDF_HC for header.
In this view you can inform a dynamic class and method for do it.
In this method you have a parameter named CS_METADATA you have the following field for do it;
VISIBLE
ENABLED
REQUIRED

RZ20 error message to be displayed on SRM Portal

Hello Gurus,
Can you someone provide me the idea of , how to display the error message of RZ20 on SRM Portal. We want to display the error message BP603 PO *** Item 001 Order **** budget exceeded.
I want this message to be displayed on the SRM portal . Basically I want to do the validation for both SC as well as PO. I checked the DOC_CHECK_BADI and its already Z implemented . Please do find the attached screenshot.

Hi Gautham,
If you can replicate the issue, please put an external break point in the following functiona module.
FM: BBP_PD_MSG_ADD
Line in FM: IF <bypass_log> IS ASSIGNED.
This FM would be triggered for all the errors which are populated in SRM.
When the break-point is triggered look for values in the fields: I_MSGID, I_MSGNO and I_MSGV*.
In this way you can identify the message application and number after which we can backtrack the code which is doing this budget check in the transaction SE91 and same logic can be implemented in BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI to display the error in a purchasing document.
Let me know your findings.

Hide COPY icon on SRM portal

Hi Forum,
After adding items from OCI BSP application , when the catalog is displayed in SRM portal , there is one Copy icon inder Action column at item level on the portal.
How to hide this?
I tried by making
BTN_ITMOVR_ITM_COPY
BTN_ITMOVR_ROW_ADD
buttons invisible in BBP_SC_UI_CTRL but it dosent seems to work..am I hiding the wrong field name in BADI?

Buttons mentioned belong to SRM portal or to Catalog ?
If they make part of your catalog interface, you can not manage them in SRM.

SRM Portal - Hover descriptions for the text and buttons

Hi,
In the SRM Portal (5.0), the standard hover description for text and text fields is "Area for Input Fields".
Hover descriptions are those little boxes that appear when you mouse over fields, offering additional info about the fields.
In the HTML templates, there is no perceivable way to edit these fields. I have tried to edit the tooltip for these fields in the screen painter for these screens (SE51 Layout), but that doesn't work.
Has anyone been able to accomplish this? Can anyone offer any advice?

The function 'BBPSC_TD_FIELD' gives no parameters for changes to the hover descriptions:

Like you said, I might need to create my own function here. I can't change the standard function, since it's called from almost every template, so creating my own would be best.
It's hard to understand what to change exactly. From where are the input parameter (FieldName_p, maxLength_p) values pulled/callled? Hmm. How do I name mine and what else ...

Company code name is not getting displayed properly in SRM portal

Hi Experts,
I have an strange issue. In the ECC (Backend) system, my company code name is getting displayed correctly. But in the SRM portal, it is showing the old name.
I have tried to run the report BBP_ATTR_TEXT_REFRESH. But the BUK attribute is not coming in the F4 help. I am using SRM 5.0
Please suggest me any other way where i can refresh the company code name.
