Insert blank CD-R, nothing happens, can't burn
I pulled a blank CD-R off of the spindle and stuck it into the superdrive. Like what happened when I inserted a DVD-R, I expected that the disc would be recognized, and I would be asked to open, among other things, the Disk Utility do I could burn to it. Instead, nothing happened.
So I located the Disk Utility and ran it manually. When I tell it to burn, it now tells me that the device is busy. Of course, Finder doesn't see anything, because the disc is blank.
I tried a different brand of CD-R. No change.
Why can't I burn a CD-R?
What are you trying to burn on the CD-R?
If you want to burn a music cd, use iTunes and create a new playlist by going to File > Create New Playlist. Drag the songs from your library into the new playlist. You can burn the cd from there.
If you want to burn a data cd, follow these steps. From Finder, choose File > New Burn Folder, then drag all the files that you want to burn into that folder. Make sure the cd is in the drive, then select Burn from the upper right corner of the New Burn Folder.
You can also choose what action you want to do when you insert a blank cd. You do this by going to System Preferences > CD's & DVD's > and then select what you want to happen when you insert a blank cd or dvd.

You need to import the photos into iPhoto before you can edit them. In iPhoto select File->import to library and navigate to your images. Press choose and they will be imported into iPhoto where you can edit them. The next step is getting iPhoto to automatically open when you insert a card.

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace -
My ipod 60gb classic is showing as fully charged until I connect it to my pc when it comes up with the error message, 'please wait very low battery' and the little wheel goes round and nothing happens, can anyone explain why this is and what i can do?
I have worked my way through the assistant and nothing works. I have tried connecting in disc mode but although the screen on the ipod is showing that the device is charged and that it is in disc mode as soon as I connect it to the computer it comes up with the error message 'please wait very low battery' and stays like that until I disconnect when it appears to be OK again. I have tried on both pc and mac.
BTW the ipod is an ipod video not classic if that makes any difference.

I'm trying to install software from Yamaha keyboards to connect my keyboard to my computer. I insert the CD and nothing happens. Yamaha told me to "find your CD drive" and open the software. How do I find the CD drive?
When you insert a CD/DVD in the optical drive, does an icon appear on the desktop? If not open Finder Preferences and check the appropriate box(s).

Problems similar to the one that you described are relatively frequent in old PSE Versions ( I was suffering a lot from them)..... and there are quite seldom in newer PSE versions. Unfortunately, I do not remember which PSE Version became much better in this area (was it V5? or V6?)
If using an older PSE version and encoutering often the problem: consider to migrate to a newer PSE Version.. -
my business partner signed up for the acrobat xl pro, and added me to the account. it send me an email to download and install, but after it downloads, nothing happens, can't double click on it to open, it just does nothing on the double click. My iCloud account is set up with my Apple ID as one email account (for example [email protected]) which is the email account I use to sign up for internet sites like Amazon, Apple,etc, so that I can differentiate vendors/mass emails. But my default calendar on my iPhone is in a different email name (ie [email protected]) which I use for most communications to friends, relatives, etc. and it is this account that holds most of my appointments. To further complicate things I have other email accounts that I use for business/professional and community work. If I want all my calendars to show on my iPhone AND sync to my iCloud, do I set this at the phone level or the iCloud level? or both?
Let me clarify....It looks like if I go into appointments that I previously set up through my personal account (ie above [email protected]) and edit the entry on my iPhone, selecting the iCloud "home" calendar within the entry, it will then sync to my iCloud account, no problem....do I have to do this to EVERY entry I have? or is there a way to name my personal account as one to sync to iCloud? -

Bought a new printer. Inserted my cd and nothing happens?
I just bought a new printer. When I insert the CD that came with the printer into my Mac, nothing happens. Still not too familiar with my Mac, but there has to be a way to manually open and start the install process.
Normally, there is no need to use an installation disc, if the printer's driver is available online.
Connect the printer to USB and turn it ON. Go to System Preferences Print & Scan pane. There is a sidebar where your current printers are listed. Click the plus sign at the bottom of the sidebar. The Add Printer window opens. If your printer is recognized, it should be listed in that window. Select it. If the default settings below are OK, click Add.
If the printer's driver is not on your Mac (and it should not be if this is the first time adding), it gets downloaded and installed. Your printer should appear in the sidebar of the Print & Scan pane.
If you have more than one printer (including share printers on the local network), they are all available from the print dialog in apps. You can set one printer as the default in the Print & Scan pane. -

I did the iTunes update some time ago to the latest version 7.0.2 I have had no trouble using my 5th gen ipod until today. I connect as I always have to transfer my latest iTunes purchases to my ipod and nothing happens. I tried resetting the ipod and rebooted my macbookpro. Tried again, still nothing. The ipod still has 22GB of space left on it so its not full. Can anyone help me figure out what has happened? On iTunes, the File-Sync Ipod is grayed out as well. Not sure what else to try.
No, I cannot see ipod in itunes. When I connect it via the USB cable provided, nothing happens now, I have been seeing hundreds of similar posts and everyone seems to be having this same issue no matter what kind of system they have or ipod. It's all after the iTunes update to 7.0.2 that it all quit working. It all worked fine until then. You would think with all the complaints that apple would put in a fix?

Thank you inadvance.This problem has been fixed. I rebooted my laptop after clearing my Firefox cache and deleting all cookies. Once my laptop was rebooted, I opened Firefox and now I can access the regular YouTube site, not the mobile site.

what version of iWeb are you using?
what system version are you running?
what exactly happens when you click on the iWeb icon in the Dock? Does the icon move at all or do you get a warning message?
have you tried clicking on the iWeb application in the Applications folder?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
