Insert new page at run time to pull in images

Hello ,
I'm using Adobe LC Designer 8.2, and wondering if there is a way to insert a new page - not in design view but at run time since I have a dynamic plot as image (jpg) to bring into a form (1 image per page). How would l load the image in & create those pages for these plots - it's going to be different amount of images/plot each time when the form run. I know that I have to use script some how, but I'm new at this. Greatly appreciate all the help!

One idea would be.....housing the image alone in a subform and set the subform to use "Top of the next Page" under "Object>>Pagination>>Place:". Also you may have to play with "Object>>Pagination>>After:" option to get things in your favor.

Crashes when inserting new pages into Templates from CS6

InDesign CS6 is crashing frequently when page numbers or blank pages are inserted into an InDesign Template file, The problem persists for many different users on several platforms and operating systems.

I have continued to have the same problems since I originally posted, including after the 7.0.2 update, though I have not tested EVERY scenario I did the first time after updating. Has anyone else seen improvement after the update? (I got the 7.0.2 update download via the built-in Adobe updater, not from the website, so I'm not sure where to locate it there).
I am sorry to hear others having similar or the same issue, but hopefully it is helpful to have a thread going where all those experiencing this can add to the list until it is recognized as a bug. And fixed! Though it does not resolve the actual problem, two work-arounds we are using to function in the meantime are to (1) always make a really long document to start with, with all the pages we think we'll need and more and (2) have a new, blank InDesign document with several pages open and drag pages from the blank document into your working document. This is a way to "add" blank pages when they are needed without inserting new pages in any of the traditional ways (which cause crashes). I also always send the crash report in to Adobe and encourage others to do the same.

You cannot create pages at run time, however you can decide based upon conditions and using commands in Smartforms, which page needs to be displayed next.
Those pages should be created beforehand.

I have recently download the new pages, but from time to time my computer will revert back to the previous page software what can I do to fix this problem

does anyone have a problem with the new page software? I am currrently running into the same problem with the old pages software re-appearing and any document that I had used with the new update, will not open. The system requires me to attempt to download a new version of page, when the newiest version has aleady been download and has been in operation.
What can I do to fix this problem? I desire to use the new version at all times.

You just have to be particular with which Pages version you are opening the document. use Right click on the document and choose the right version of Pages.

Adding new rows at run time in alv oops

HI ALL,
I have a created an editable alv report in oops. Now i have to add a new row having similar values as the previous row at run time when a custom button is clicked in the output and after entering some values in the new row and pressing the database must be updated and also the internal table at run time itself.
for example let us suppose i have the following row in the alv output.
MATNR                          DESCRIPTION                             NAME                             DATE
001                                 TEST                                        MATRIKS                      10092001
NOW if we click the custom button added on the alv toolbar, it should a new row at the run time similar to previous row as shown below

001                                 TEST                                        MATRIKS                      10092001 -> NEW ROW.
can we do it in alv oops? pls let me know the soln or any helpful links

   I dont think, you can find any method for that,
one way what I can suggest is
Get the selected row index.
Insert the blank row in your internal table at this index
Refresh the container.

New page opens each time I click on a link instead of staying imbedded on the current page

Each time I click on a link or delve further into a sight, instead of staying within that sight Firefox opens an entirely new page. At the end of just a few minutes of browsing, the page indicator along the bottom of my screen has dozens of open pages. I can't hit the 'back' button to go back in a sight because Firefox has already opened a new page instead.
What is up with this and how do I get it to stop?

InDesign crashes when inserting new page(s)

I have a landscape document with facing pages. The origin was an Indd CS3 document opend with CS 5 and saved. I can move pages from one location to another but the attemt to insert one or two new pages will cause indd to crash. This is not a general problem this seems only to happen with this particular doc.

Need help getting wmv file inserted on page to run on both mac and windows

I built my first webpage in iWeb, and when I tried to access the video page on my work pc running windows, it wanted to load in Quicktime (which is not configured to run wmv files on this machine). How do I set up the video on this page to run in Windows Media Player when loaded on a windows machine?

Invisibles are creating a new page when I try to move background image....

Hey Guys.
I am doing a resume for a friend of mine and its quite simple what Im trying to do;
-Background image
-Image
-Text
And I noticed when I try to put the background image to fit the background that it will create a new page... but I can't seem to find how to get around this problem... can anyone help?

Your image has word wrap on it that is squeezing out either text or a page break underneath.

Version 4.2/ can't insert new page!!

I"m using Pages 4.2 and it is very weird. I can't insert a new blank page within my document. When I do, the page appears at the very top of the entire document. Also, why can't I drag actual pages around where I want? This is easily done in Word. Even create new section breaks are page breaks put those functions not where I want them but at the top of the entire document. There is no flexibility here and nothing about this features is in the preferences. And duplication does the same. It puts the duplicate at the top, very beginning. I need it where I'm trying to work.

I think you only need to add: c:\j2sdk1.4.2_01
you have specified jre on the end of your path, it is not the jre that is required, but the jdk.
If you are using startup.bat and shutdown.bat (or .sh on Linux) you can amend the files with a text editor (open the startup.bat in notepad), like so:

I this will start Tomcat with the correct settings, regardless of your environment settings.

Hide a page at run time

Hello,
I'm new to LifeCycle Designer. I'm developing a form which is structured as follows-
Body page 1 -> Place: on Master Page 1, After : Continue Filling parent
Body Page 2 -> Place: on Master Page 2, After : Continue Filling parent
For a certain condition I don't want Body Page 1 to be displayed at all. But still the Body Page 2 should be on Master Page 2 (and should be the 1st page to be displayed).
I tried following in the form:ready event of Body page 1 (formcalc @ client) -
if (coverpage_type eq "without_coverpage")
then
$.presence = "hidden"
endif
But it shows up the 1st page as blank page (does not hide it completely).
Can you please suggest what should I do to make this happen? Please send me the script code snippet if possible.
Any help would be appreciated as I've already wasted 2 days trying to find a solution :-(.

An external page break can be triggered by using the Edit button in the Pagination Tab of the Object palette.
        Click on the Edit button, press the PLUS symbol to add the script.
    Below that select the Break radio button either before or after depending on the requirement and then in TO: select the Top of Next Page. If you want to display header and footer of the table in the next page s also select the Trailer and Leader sub forms.

To trigger External Page Break:
   Depending on some condition, if you want to trigger a Page break, add the below script to the table subform where the page break has to be trigger. If the hierarchy is as below, then add the below code on the table subform.

    if you are getting an empty page at the end, add the below script to the table subform.

          This will suppress the blank page, which is generating because of external page break coding.

i want to know about the oracle 9i jdeveloper, is there any way to run on oracle9i because when we are going to develop page he take path for DBC file which is not available in local 9i database i mean just we have installed oracle 9i database rather then oracle e-business application,

Hi,
Either you need to install EBS suite to your local drive or you need to have the DBC file of the server where EBS is installed. Without any of these you won't be able to run the pages from Jdeveloper.

How do I insert new pages into an existing pages document

I have been doing a newsletter for 18 months in pages. SInce the last update I have been unable to find a way to add a page to my document or change positions of pages. I have searched online for answers which did not help, and all the tutorials I found are not for the updates version. Help, this app is useless if I can't do this!

How could you not find the hundreds, if not thousands, of references here to the missing features in Pages 5?
Apple removed over 100 features from Pages 5 of which these are only a few:
