Firefox (15) inserts a "Firefox HTML document" in Windows Explorer File New menu. It breaks my works patterns (Alt FWF stops working). Need to disable.

I often use the shortcut Alt FWF to create new directories on Windows.
When FF 15 is set as default it alters the File New menu from Windows Explorer.
It inserts a "Firefox HTML document" item.
This item seems to sabotage the above key combination. It intercepts the last F.
In addition I object to the naming which is plain wrong, for me.
I have deleted the registry key that inserts this thing. Unfortunately it re-appears.
I want to stop this behaviour.
How do I kill this. (Other than by making another browser the default.)

I'm not seeing that on Windows 7 (which I'm sure is no consolation to you).
Since Folder usually is the top item on the new items menu, can you use
<br>Alt+f w Enter
until someone comes up with <s>a better workaround</s> an actual solution?

Insert pdf into html document

Hi there,
I would like to import or insert a pdf file (acrobat) into an
html document
and be able to write above and below the document. I have
copied the document
into MS paint and saved it as a gif file and inserted it that
way...Is there any more
direct way to do this? I have not been able to copy and paste
directly into DW from
adobe acrobat....Please advise!!

Inserting Images in a HTML document

Hello,
i m developing a small HTML editor ,
The problem i m facing is that if i m writing in my text pane and
i wont to insert a image where the cursor presently is how i would do this ?
since i wont have any trace as the last element of the HTML generated
by the component does not have any id like i have" id=add" for the
body tag ! through which i know where to insert HTML!
     e.g
     in the below lines i m setting
     HTMLEditorKit for the JTextPane
     HTMLEditorKit htmlKit4Display = new HTMLEditorKit();

How do I insert images in HTML document?

I'm working on an old site and I want to use Dreamweaver to build new pages.
That site was not built with Dreamweaver.
I just want to open a new HTML page, build that page then copy and paste the code.
I have no problem with the text, but I have to insert graphics using their URL, not their location on my computer. I've tried, but I don't understand how it works.

DWCC2014.1 - When Inserting an Image, all code is wiped and replaced with HTML framework containing an iFrame

I recently upgraded to DW CC 2014.1 on my Mac - which caused me a number of issues. But the one I'm facing right now is very strange.
Whenever I try to insert an image - either via the shortcut, or through the top level dropdown dialogue - when the file browser comes up, all of my HTML code disappears, to be replaced with a starter template and an iframe. This happens about 90% of the time - but it sometimes works correctly, and I can't figure out why it does work that 10%.
Usually, I can just cancel the file browser and Undo to get my code back. But occasionally that doesn't work (and neither does Revert), and I have to close the document and re-open to my last save.
Here's what appears when my code vanishes:
Anybody know what's happening here? I don't use any specially created shortcuts. I've run into several issues with 2014.1 that have impacted my productivity, and it's getting increasingly frustrating.

Environment: Mac Pro 6,1/OS X 10.9.5/DreamWeaver CC 2014.1 6947 Build
Relevant software: DefaultFolder X 4.6.10 (16690)
Steps:
1) Position cursor on its own line in Code panel of Split View.
2) Press Cmd+Option+I [OR] select Insert > Image > Image
3) Navigate to image using file browser
4) Click OK
5) Repeat the above steps to insert a second image
Result with DefaultFolder X active:
1) The first insert completes as expected [OR] all HTML code between opening and closing body tags disappears, and a frame tag with a source attribute pointing to the file itself is inserted after the closing head tag
2) For subsequent inserts:
If the first insert completed as expected: If the cursor is indented from farthest-left, all HTML code between opening and closing body tags disappears, and a frame tag with a source attribute pointing to the file selected in the first insert appears after the closing head tag. If the cursor is not indented, *most* subsequent attempts will reproduce the issue
If the first insert produced the issue: all subsequent inserts will reproduce the issue, and the frame source will be the file itself
Result with DefaultFolder X disabled:
1) The first insert completes as expected [OR] all HTML code between opening and closing body tags disappears, and a frame tag with a source attribute pointing to the file itself is inserted after the closing head tag

Remove an html attribute in a html document

Hi...
Can someone give me a piece of code describing how I can remove a html attribute for the text under the current caret position or selection?
If I have a <font class="..."> tag, I want to delete the class attribute, but maybe still want to have the font tag because it can contain some other attributes, face, size etc.
I can get the current attribute with the AttributeSet attr = getCharacterElement().getAttributes().
To be able to delete an attribute in the AttributeSet, I have to put it in a SimpleAttributeSet object?
If I do that and delete the class attribute with the removeAttribute method and then put the changed AttributeSet back with setCharacterAttributes and setting the replace parameter to true, the selected text is removed...
Any solutions?

Foreground color in HTMLDocument differ from DefaultStyledDocument
in the HTMLDocument color is specified with appropriate TAGs (like <FONT>).
when you change source html text the document tree structure is changed according to html content and your settings are disappeared.

Creating a new HTML document - removing "todos"

When creating a new HTML document in a KM repository (i.e. Folder > New > HTML File...), I get a form where I name my HTML document and enter the content etc. I can also choose, from a dropdown box, the document type between a Normal document or a "todos". My questions are the following:
1) What is "todos" in this case? (I don't think it means "To Do's".)
2) As a portal admin, how can I remove "todos" from the dropdown box or disable the dropdown box completely.

System Administration - System Configuration - KM - Configuration - CM - Global Services - Resource Types - Delete "todos".

I think that in fact some SAP developer wanted to mark this place that there would be more work to be done (Resource Types to be defined or so).

Choose None from the border style Pop-up.

You are getting entagled in the two confusing meanings of the term pixels, namely as a unit identical to points and equalling 1/72 inch, and the basic component of raster images (and effects).

String.replaceAll with a cleverly created regex. Shouldn't be too difficult to remove everything that's a tag. In fact, I saw it done with a rather short regex the other day in another thread.

How can I embed a HTML document onto my webpage?

What I am trying to do: I am trying to make an image that has links to urls from different parts of the image.
What I have done so far: I have built a photoshop image to embed on my webpage, following the instructions offered by many online forums, but cannot actually embed it as it isn't a url.
Firstly, I sliced up an image, adding url's and alt tage etc to each slice. Then I did:
File > Save for web > (Prest: JPEG High) > Save > (entered my file name) Format: HTML and Iamges > Save
When I locate my file where I saved it, it has been saved as a Chrome HTML Document, but I can't then embed this on my website, using the 'embed code' tool I normally use. I presume this is because it doesn't begin with http:// ?

One: Users can't see links on your local desktop. You would have to upload the files somewhere. Two: Images generally don't contain links. URLs are meta information build around the image in HTML. Three: Because of the previous point, whether you use sliced images or an image map doesn't matter, if you have no way of inserting the information into the native HTML structure of the web pages. If at all, you would open the HTML file in a suitable editor like Dreamweaver (or even a basic text editor) and copy&paste it into the web page sourcve code, but you'd still have to upload the image(s). The rest we can't know. You have not provided any link to the web site or told us which hosting provider you use. From your description it sounds like one of those "free" providers that restrict user's options to customize to the bare minimum and the rest is based on templates and plastered with advertising. In any case, the solution is not in Photoshop and you would have to read up on web design basics, HTML, CSS and al lthat on a more general level or review your hosting provider's guides on how to set all this up.

Insert an image from a Database

Hi - I am trying to insert an image from a database into a webpage. Basically when clients register on the site they upload their logo which i want to come up when they look at their account details and when they post a job. When I test the file upload the file name is in an "image" field in my database and the image is in the website files on the server but I am having problems trying to get the logo to shop up on the webpage. I have one table called Recruiters where all the client's contact details (and logo upload goes) and a table called jobs where all the job details go when they post a job (this does not hold the logo upload).

Would you be able to help me out with inserting the logo into a job post page and the recordset I will need to insert the logo?
Basically I want to add the logo that is uploaded when a client registers on the site onto a job info page. To access the the details about a job, jobseekers just click on the job that interests them which takes them to the job details page which pulls all the information from the "Job" table in the database. However, the logo is stored in the "image" field in the "Recruiter" table in the database.   I have tried setting up a recordset as:-

Opening html document.

Hi all,
I am trying to use java code to open a html document called "about.htm". At the moment I have the following code:

     }Although this code works the problem is if I transfer it to another PC which does not use Internet Explorer I want it to open using whatever the default program is (ie.Firefox).
In other words I want to remove the line C:\\Program Files\\Internet Explorer\\IEXPLORE.exeAny help would be appreciated.
