Inserted Gaps are transparent instead of black

Hello there
I am facing a weird behavior from FCPX (10.1.1 Build 240682). When I insert a Gap into my projects, the gap is transparent.
How can I fix this and make my gaps black again?

Well, my fault... I had forgotten that I changed my Player Background preferences from Black to Chackerboard.

1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now?

We are having Lync 2010 environment. Few users, in Lync 2010 client - Drop down entreis are grey instead of black. Could anyone of you suggest, what needs to be done to fix it?

CAS shutdown shouldn't cause issues. If you type the number you see into the Lync search box, does it normalize to E.164 format? If you type in an E.164 number into the dropdown and try to call that, do you see the number there in black?

Tab: side panels are white instead of black

When in the Library module, when I press tab or shift tab to make the side panel(s) go away, the background is white and I would like it to be black. How do I make this change? Also, in "Lights Out" (pressing L) the background gets lighter instead of darker. How do I change this to darker? THanks!!

Neither worked. Please help!

Try delete those songs using iTunes by de-selecting and sync. After that mark those songs and sync again.

Copying images with transparency produces a black background.

When images are copied from Firefox and pasted elsewhere (Paint, PSP, Photoship, etc.) any transparency becomes opaque black. This makes it difficult to edit the image if the transparency was near black pixels. Is there any way to change the colour to something else, or at least, white?

No, you will have to save the image to disk and open the file in your image editor. You can try if it works if you drag the file in the editor.

Pull down menus are transparent and empty squres where maybe a pix should be. What's happening with that?? Thx..Dave

The entire webpage seems empty and colorless. When I roll over a square or something that is empty, I get the "hand" as if there is something in there that I should click on. All the pull down menus are transparent and hard to read against the background. I tried the same web site on IE and everything is good. It seems as if half of the Browser is loaded. The updates had no affect. My email site is a drab and dreary place that I use the Mac email instead. I remember on my old HP with Firefox it was great. And so was Thunderbird. What can I do??

7410 prints red instead of black

printer prints red instead of black. When I print a test page from the printer setup there is no problem. This happens with two different computers. The print was working last week.

My Photosmart C5380 printer green instead of black

Occationally my printer is printing green instead of black.
Sometimes it is from the beginning of a document and sometimes it is the middle of a document.
I have tried to change the cartridge but have the same result.

I'd like to help you with this issue, the black is printing in green sometimes. You have changed the cartridge and are having the same results.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Try these steps to see if it will resolve the issue.

White bars instead of black?

If anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it. I'm not sure how/why this started happening, but when I watch movies online I now see WHITE bars above and below the film instead of BLACK ones as I did before. White ones are a bit blinding and highly annoying. Does anyone know anything about this? Please help! Thanks so much!

I second this question... My eyes have trouble focusing when their are two white lights above and below videos. I would like to know how to change it to black where my eyes wont have to work to see those darker scenes. Kind of makes turning off the lights during movies useless too.

What is it with transparent GIFs and Black????

I'm trying to use transparent gifs in a little game! ;o) as an introduction to graphical java!
Problem is when I load the images using the toolkit and then setting them as say the Icon for a panel, they are surrounded by Black?! In addition when I try to display them using an BufferedImage they are also surrounded by black?!!!
Ive been tearing my hair out trying to understand why - and have sucessfully failed :D

Menu Bar transparent instead of gray

When booting up in iOS X (Mavericks) the Menu Bar sometimes will be transparent (instead of gray) with black type. When I reboot it appears with its normal gray background. Has anyone else experienced this, and how can I prevent the Menu Bar from being transparent instead of its normal gray background?

In System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver > Desktop, you will find a button selection at the bottom that says Translucent menu bar. Deselect it, and opacity will immediately return to the menu bar.

Png files with transparent background show black only in firefox for android

I have a wix created site and png files with transparent backgrounds are showing with a black blackground in Firefox for Android. They show transparent in all other browsers I have tried.
I have tried saving the file as a gif, as a smaller png, interlaced, not interlaced, png 8, png24. It still shows black in Firefox for Android.

Bad Screen Laptop Screen - showing blue lines instead of black

I have an old laptop HP Pavilion DV7-1448dx, the screen shows blue lines instead of black. I tried using TV as a monitor and it doesnt have any problem, it only shows on the laptop. I replaced the LCD screen with a brand new screen but it still shows the same problem. I attached the pictures of what my screen looks like. It only shows this on the black color and the others are ok. Pls help!

Hello and welcome to the HP support forum. Thank you for posting about your display issue.
It sounds as if the RGB output of the graphics card has become a bit off in your case. You have replaced the screen so the output that supplies the LCD from the graphics card is the issue.
As you stated on a VGA output to a TV it looks normal. Therefor it isnt the card totally having the problem.

Here is a link to your systems Maintenance and Service guide as well. One thing you may want to check is the actual cable that connects the screen to the motherboard. This is the easiest and cheapest part to work with.
If you replace the connection cable from the motherboard to the monitor this may fix the issue.

New (Refurbished) OfficeJet 4620 printing red instead of black

Like the subject says... Recently purchased, refurbished OfficeJet 4620. I understand you have an Officejet 4620 that is printing red instead of black. I'd be happy to help you resolve this, I just need to gather a bit more information!
Is this happening when printing just from the printer as well as the computer? To test this, if you're not sure, please print this Network Configuration Page as it is supposed to print out entirely in black.
If that works fine, and it only seems to be happening from your computer, would you be able to tell me which version of Windows or Mac you're working with, as well as how the printer is connected to said computer?
If it also prints in the red as opposed to black, please have a look through this Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages and hopefully these steps are of help to you.
