Inserting a NEW photo while composing mail is tedious

Many times while composing an email I just want to take a new photo and add it to the email I am just composing.
I would expect this to be possible in the following straightforward manner:
Open the mail app
Create new email, enter adress and subject
Write the mail body
Long tap into mail body, select "Take photo" (a non-existent item)
Take the new photo which is then inserted into the mail body
Send
This operating steps seem most natural and intuitive to me.
Instead in the current iOS I am forced
to switch over from mail app to photo app,
take the photo,
switch back to mail app,
select "Insert photo",
select the album,
scroll all the way down to the last picture
tap the picture just taken
confirm again that i want that picture
then, finally, the picture is inside my mail body. Whew!
This is extremely tedious, counter-intuitive and absolutely not Apple-like.
I just can't understand why especially Apple, known for its simplicity of use, is unable to handle this extremely common use case in a decent way.
Or am I missing something?

Your description presumes that I know I want to send a picture in the first place.
But many times my initial intention is just sending an email. So I open the mail app and start typing. While typing or just before finishing the email, I get the idea of attaching a nice picture of mine, just as an additional niceness. So, there I am stuck, sitting in the mail app and considering if it is worth taking all the fuss of changing an re-changing apps just to insert that silly picture of mine. Eventually I always end up leaving out the photo because it is just too much of a tapping, swiping and scrolling mess.

Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think?

How to see actual fonts while composing mail?

This is driving me crazy. I often copy and paste different bits of text from other sources into email messages I compose in Mail. When I paste in the text, it always appears to be in the same font and size as the existing text. Once I send the email, I discover, much to my chagrin, that the pasted text often shows up in a different font or style. This holds true even if I send an email to myself and read it in Mail. If it is just in a slightly different font it only looks a little sloppy, but it is very embarrassing when it is a radically different font or size.
Sometimes the errant font is applied to only fixed-width fonts, and I can fix it for my own display by setting my "fixed width font" and "message font" to the same thing. But this just makes it look better for me -- anyone else is still seeing the different fonts. And sometimes it happens with formatted text (i.e, pasting a line from a webpage where the text looks fine in the composed mail but shows as huge and bold when the mail is received).
I have my "composing - message format" preferences set to Rich Text, because I want to be able to send rich text messages. I have tried to train myself to use the "paste and match style" command, but I am so used to "command - v" that it is hard to remember to use "shift-option-command - v" every time.
If I change a font intentionally, using the format fonts palette, the different font is immediately visible in the compose window.
This happens on both my Macbook, not on my and my Mac Mini; they are each running Mail 3.6 and OS X 10.5.8
Any ideas? It is very frustrating.

Wish I could be king. But you described the problem perfectly and I am still but a pawn. All I can say is that I trashed the mail preferences (com.apple.mail.plist) on my Mac Mini, and now my MacBook seems to work right.
Sorry. :>) But that is the truth... The MacBook now has actually sometimes displayed pasted text in its actual, different, font and style as I paste it into a partially composed new mail message.
In other (more rational) words, the problem seems to be tied to pasting only certain types of text. I have not been able yet to pinpoint what. Yes, frustrating indeed. The only work-around has been to re-train my fingers to command-option-shift V, for "paste and match style" (like you, I do not want to always use only plain text). Maybe someone else will eventually weigh in with a real solution. The solution I want is just to be able to consistently see any font variations within my message before I send the email.
The info about the different ppi scales between Windows and Mac is interesting, although not relevant to this particular problem. It does explain the apparent overall size differences I have seen before.

Lost new photos while restoring backup

I recently switched from an iphone 4 to iphone 5. Before changing the phone I had taken a backup on iTunes on my PC (Windows 7). After getting the phone 5, I used it for several days without restoring the backup from iTunes on my PC. I had taken some photos during this time. When I recently connected my phone to the PC, iTunes prompted me if I wanted to restore backup. On clicking 'Yes', I got all my old photos in the new phone but lost all the new ones I had taken. It was so frustrating.. as if you are back to your old phone!!! Are there any ways to recover the new pics?? Please let me know, I really need those new pics!!

You should've imported the new pics to your computer as you would a digital camera..

Insert a new value while the user clicks create insert button

I am using jdev 11.1.5
I had created a HD and ln Eo's with corresponding Vo's
I had dragged and dropped as the master-detail relationship
I had dragged and dropped the create insert button
while i click the insert button
The last value must be added by 1 and it should be inserted in the new row
eg:

How to view messages in mailboxes while composing mail

Now that I've installed Lion, I'm trying to make the switch from Outlook to the Mac Mail program. But I'm having one frustrating annoyance, and maybe this is just the way macmail is.
My dilema is this...when I'm in fullscreen mode and I'm composing an email, the message fills the most of the screen and I can not access, view, work with any of my other messages, unless I bring mail out of fullscreen mode, or I hit 'cancel' and save the draft.
Is there a way to move the email I'm composing out of the way so I can see my messages in my inbox or other mailboxes. Many times I want to look back at something I wrote or received in an unrelated message. But when I'm in full screen mode, I'm stuck.
Is there a tweak, trick, tip, etc. that can help me?

There were a couple workarounds suggested in another thread. IMHO, both are pretty good workrounds and I have a trackpad so, to me, the 2nd suggestion is a little less cumbersome.

Took a new photo while in *contact* page; now where is it??

Today, while inputting a friend's email address, I decided to take a pic to attach to his contact. Normally, I'd take a pic using the Camera app, but since I was already on his contact page, I took it from within the Contacts app, by tapping "add photo," then "take photo." Then I told him I'd send it to him.
Well, the pic shows up with the contact (and it synced to Address Book on the Mac) but on the iPhone, _the pic doesn't show up in either the camera roll or the photo library._
How do I access that pic?

I hadn't noticed this until now, but you're right-- you can't access photos that you take from the Contact app to assign to a contact from the Photos app and, therefore can't import them.
So, to answer the question, I don't think you can. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me!

To most this is a dumb question, but I do not know how to use the new font that I downloaded. It said "print" and that is it to my knowledge, but there is no such thing as a dumb question when you don't know the answer. Please help me!!! Sincerely, Giana

In the future use a normal font. It is hare to read the one you used.

First, stop using the card in the camera. Some companies provide photo recovery software with their cards. If not here are some photo recovery programs, I've never used them though. You might also try a Google search for "SD card photo recovery" as some businesses provide this.

How can I insert jpg/bmp files when composing an e mail?

I want to insert a jpg file into the mail while composing the e mail and avoid sending it as an attachment.
I've tried copy-paste, but it doesn't work.
I tried to drag from another window, that doesn't work either.
I managed to drag a jpg file from another browser (not Firefox), it showed at my end but did not transmit).

The question relates more to your email system than to Firefox.
As general comments
* files and images are likely to be sent as attachments
* there may be options as to how they display, hotmail for instance is able to display attatched images in firefox as a slideshow within the email
* sending links rather than attached files is an alternative if the .jpeg is on the web
* Hotmail, also allows whole Office Files to be inserted. (That includes word processor documents containing images)
If it is Hotmail and using windows XP you have tried
* insert | Photos -> web images <br /> left clicking on a displayed image will insert it at the cursor position in the e-mail

I used to be able to burn photos onto a CD-R disc. Now I insert a new, blank disc and am told there is insufficient spac available for my selected year of photos. Even when reducing the date to ONE photo, I still get the same message. Confused.

Today I inserted a new blank disc and was shown a message that there was insufficient space for my chosen year of photos. Even when I reduced the date to include only ONE photo!- the message was the same. I am at a loss as to why, and what to do. My iMac is about 7 years old and upgraded to Snow leopard. New Photos App take a very long time to upload 20 Pictures, while the Activity Monitor is showing much more data sent (MB) than these two pictues

The New photos app is taking a very long time to upload images. It stays a very long time at 20,104 for example. When I check the Activity Monitor (Network) it shows that the computer is actually uploading stuff. After about 2 hours, only 20 Pics&Videos are uploaded. The uploaded pics and videos are about 500MB while the data sent is around 1GB. I am positive that Photos is the only thing uploading data at the moment.
Anyone else facing this problem?

It can take days, even weeks.
Tell me 2 things and I will tell you the estimated upload time.
1 How big is your Library (in GB)
2 How fast is your upload speed.
Or you can just use the upload time calculator and do it yourself

Since upgrading iPhoto to 2.0 (531) I can't create a new album while I'm sharing the photos. There is no button "+" or "create new album" where I want to put them. I can choose between existing albums, one of them is album called "iOS Photos".
iOS 7.0.3, iPad 4th Gen.

While launching Mail, I clicked on Safari, to check something while Mail got new emails, but now Mail appears on the same screen as Safari. Is there a way I can return it to it's own screen, please?

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.
