Inserting Event Video (FMR) & Audio Sounds Tinny

Hi everyone!
I created a software simulation, published it as a MP4 and then inserted it into a new project as an Event Video.
The audio sounds ok when i play the published version back - But when I insert it in the second project & listen to that published project, that video sounds like I recorded it inside of a tin can.
I'd like to not have to re-record the whole simulation because it took me an entire day to do what I did...
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to make that tinny sound go away?
Thanks,
Denise

We're doing a 4 camera switched feed. Using Anycast switcher,
Panasonic 1/2 chip cameras, good program audio, unbalanced
auido/y-c video out to DAC 2 converter to firewire. Using Dell
Latitude D820 to stream remotely to our Flash server.
Our production audio levels are good to the encoder but the
quality encoded audio output is below our standards

  • Audio sounds Tinny upon publish

    Hey there,
When publishing a Captivate4 project our audio sounds tinny. While in the project we are able to listen to the slide just fine and then when we publish that is when we get different sound. We record the audio with a Samsung mic right into captivate, crop/clip as needed and then go about our way. We add closed captioning to the session, but have not found that this is a problem.  I have exported the audio to a location and to find out the .wav file is ok but the .mp3 file is tinny.
Is there any way to export the audio and import them directly over the top of the exisiting files in the project? I have only found that it imports back into the library and does not over write the files. Also, am I understanding correctly that when you record the narration that it is a .wav file and then when you publish the file it is a .mp3 file?

    Hi there,
Try checking to see what the Audio quality is set to in the Project Information section of the Publish dialog box (File > Publish). By default this should be to set to 96 kbps - Near CD Quality, as shown in the screen shot I have included below.
If this doesn't solve the problem, then I would suggest that you export the audio using the steps I have included below and check to see if the audio still sounds tinny when you play it in an audio player such as Windows Media Player.
    Exporting audio
In Edit view choose Audio > Audio Management
Select the entry in the Advanced Audio Management dialog
Press Ctrl + A to select all the other slides
Make sure Include MP3 and WAVE files in export are selected
    Click the Export button
In the Browse For Folder dialog select a folder to export the selected audio files to
    Click OK.
Click OK again to dismiss the Advanced Audio Management dialog

  • FCPX Makes Audio Sound "Tinny"

I have an absolutely bizarre problem: FCPX seems to be applying a "tin" sound to my audio file. Please find two audio samples at these links. The FCPX version is the clip in my event browser, with no effects or Audio Enhancements applied. The second is the clip in the Finder, to which the Event Browser is linking.
    FCPX version: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13895316/FCPXversion.m4a
    Original version: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13895316/Original.m4a
Once I apply an EQ to the FCPX version, the tin sound is impossible to ignore. I tried relinking, to no avail.
Does anyone have any ideas for how to fix this?

Problem solved! For some reason, "Preserve Pitch" got selected in the retime editor. I had not even applied a speed change (See screenshot below). Pressing "Reset Speed" disables "Preserve Pitch", and the audio clip sounds normal again.
    Must be a bug...

  • Satellite L300-20W - Audio sounds tinny under XP

Hi, I have a L300-20W and was wondering if there is a reason why the sound output seems to be tinny when running XP when compared to Vista.
I can't see it being the speakers as when using Vista its not that noticeable.
I have used the drivers from Toshiba's site and ones from Realtek, the result seems the same.
Any ideas and has anyone else noticed this?
    Thanks
    Rob

Did you install XP from a retail Disc? Or did you use a Toshiba Rollback Recovery Disc?
Try modifying the Audio Enhancements in Windows Media Player.
But be careful, dont set the volume to 200% or set it to maximum Bass or anything like that, since you could damage the speakers.

  • Video-  missing audio sound

missing audio content when I record video on ipad. Any ideas on how to fix?

    Judyqw3-
Have you verified that your iPad microphone is working?  One way would be to install the free Skype iPad App, which has an on-line audio test capability.
If the microphone is not working, contact Apple.  If you can demonstrate the problem to the Apple Store Genius, you may get a new iPad on the spot.

  • Imported Audio sounds "tinny" and "low"

Hi, I have an issue that I really need help with fast! (Don't
we all?) I've used professionally recorded .wav files that sound
absolutely wonderful--until I import them. Actually, they sound
great when listened to via the audio tab in the caption box, but
not in the actual movie. I have edited the files in terms of
breaking them up into shorter chunks to correspond with text on
various slides. This issue varies from movie to movie--and I can't
discern any differences among settings etc. Help! my client does
    not like!
    Regards,
    Cathleen

I've seen the same thing - but it wasn't imported audio, it
was audio created in Captivate itself. Matter of fact, it occurred
in one of the sample movies I created to display Jesse Warden's
Captivate Player ... and it sounds exactly lilke that. I remember
when doing the audio that I had stopped Captivate, then restarted
the recording of audio when I noticed it.
It only happened on slide #1 because I caught it, and reset
the audio test dialog from scratch, then recorded all other slides
    (audio) over again . . . I didn't realize until I had published it
to the web that I had forgotten to re-record slide #1.
If you want to hear the effect
    use ths
link, and use the CPlayer to go to the "Edit View" movie .
The trick was (for me) to shut down the movie, then re-open
to force Captivate to re-check audio volume level ... that fixed it
for me so I didn't go any further into the settings . . .
    .

  • Flash CS6: Why does some audio sound distorted?

When i publish my flash video, the audio sounds very distorted and it seems as if the bass is gone or something wrong. Here is the weird part; some audio that i used before this works perfectly. When i preview the audio in flash cs6 and in the library it also sounds normal. How do i fix this? I tried editing the audio settings via publish settings, no luck.

  • With newer MacBook Air, sending both video and audio to an LG TV works fine, but I want to send the audio to a sound bar attached to the TV.  Any way to do this?

I am trying to get audio to play through the soundbar attached to the TV for great sound.  Works fine with Apple TV, but on the MacBook Air, system preferences will only find the TV speakers.  If I change the settings on the TV to external speakers (the soundbar), then I get no sound at all.  The HDMI connection does what it is supposed to do, providing video and audio, but the audio can only go to the TV.  I don't know if you can go backward and send only video through HDMI and then connect to the soundbar through the mini jack ports on the computer and the soundbar.  Any solutions will be appreciated.

its important to do this in the correct order so the camera will be senced by the Mac and to prevent the Firewire connection from electrical damage:
    power down your Mac
connect firewire from camera to Mac
power on camera and insert tape in camera and play back
    power up Mac
    start QuickTime
File > Preferences > record tab
video source - select the camera you have
sound source - select the camera you have
    quality - select device native
the video should show in the QuicTime window
a  green line below video will show presence of sound-it will play through the speakers if they are selected in system prefernces
    rewind tape and playback
click on red button to start recording

  • How to disable the FULL SCREEN option in the 'Insert Video and Audio' option

    Hi,
I've been inserting some MP3's and using an image for pupils to click on to play the sound, the images are 100 pixels by 100 pixels.
The only issue is that I have the grey rectangle 'Full Screen' box over the picture. This is ideal when I put videos on but not necessary when you have just an MP3. Also I've noticed that the 'Styles' option is greyed out and due to that I can't change the
    colour of the play button.
I've been inserting MP3's direct from my PC hard drive to the webpage.
    Any help'd be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Per my understanding, you might want to disable the “Full Screen” button and make other customization when there is an audio file in the page.
By default, when we insert an audio/video file into page via “Insert Video and Audio” button in the ribbon, an OOTB Media Web Part will be added into the page contains
the file you added, the “Full Screen” button is a part of this Media Web Part.
In consideration of you might have other requirements on designing the style, I would suggest you create a custom Media Web Part instead which will enable you customize
    the style as you want.
About creating a custom Media Web Part, you can use the <audio> tag:

My guess would be improper track targeting.  The Help file should have the necessary information here.

Options for when an iOS device gets locked because of forgotten passcode:
Restore (and reset passcode) on your device by connecting it to the last computer to which it was connected:
iTunes: Backing up, updating, and restoring iOS software - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you cannot connect it to the computer to which the device was last connected (or the device was never connected to a computer) you will have to use recovery mode to completely reset the device, losing all data:
iOS: Unable to update or restore - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 - recovery mode (e.g., cannot connect to computer last used to sync device, iTunes still asks for a password)
