Insignia NS-37L760A12 Auto Input Sensing

I have a NS-37L760A12 (37" Insignia LCD) and very much like the TV. I am faced with a configuration issue that I am hoping someone on this board has sorted out. I currently have a Panasonic HTIB (Home Theater in a Box) receiver/BD connected to the HDMI-3 (ARC) port on the TV. I also connected my Comcast cable box to HDMI-1 port. So here is the issue.. When I power everything on from an all-off state, the TV automatically switches to the last component that it see's powering on. This is 90% of the time the Panasonic receiver/BD player which means I have to constantly switch the TV from HDMI-3 (Receiver) to the Comcast box on HDMI-1.
I also tried a completely different approach with my equipments where I put all of my inputs through the HTIB Receiver but I can't seem to get the Panasonic to stay put on the last HDMI input used either. So in this configuration, I have to grab the Panasonic remote and chose the HDMI input every time I power up in this configuration too.
Ultimately, I just want to power everything on and not have to switch inputs (girlfriend isn't so good with such details). Any ideas?

I don't know if you have a budget to add something in, but have you thought about picking up a harmony remote? You can set it up with activities that you just push what you want to do on the touchscreen and it does all the input changing for you. May be easier for her. With the program it comes with you can change power up order as well.

But for GL account 190841, reason code is not auto input.

LogicX Rec Problem. I can't hear while recording no matter I turn on Auto Input Monitoring at menu or channel. On certain songs I could thru AUX to REC, my L7/8/9 procedure. Now, inconsistent, not work. Any help?

I can't hear (ex.) voice back while recording no matter I turn on Auto Input Monitoring at Record Menu or Channel Strip.
On certain old projects I could when thru AUX to REC, which was my L7/8/9 procedure.
Recording takes place on a consolidated session, all audio tracks with no latency, which actually happens only it can't be heard.
Monitoring is very inconsistent and in fact doesn't work at all. Any help?

Correction: actually "thru AUX to REC channel" is not effective.
It's just that I can input monitor thru an extra AUX channel independently of the REC channel.
Sending the source to be recordered to aux and audio rec at same time.

Insignia TVs For Gaming (Input Lag Question)

I am considering either the 40 inch or 42 inch Insignia.
NS-42D510NA15
NS-40D510NA15
This TV will only be used for gaming. Does anyone have this TV and can comment on whether or not it has input lag? It is detrimental to the experience that input lag be at a minimum.

Auto Input & Meta Data

Is it possible to use meta data being attached to an image with Auto Import as part of the filename? As an example can I use Job identifier, the date and time?

This works ok on a Mac. What is your OS? In what metadata fields are you experiencing the problem? I believe in the Metadata panel under Catalog Preferences, "Offer suggestions from recently entered values" controls this. Is it checked?

Auto input filename/extension to column

Hi,
Been trying to do this.
File Location : C:\test.txt Browse Button
File Name :test.txt
I have a file location column, whereby i click the browse button to select the file i want to save. The fille location and file name/extension
will be automatically input in to the column.
I have another column callled file name , which i manually enter the file name/extension shown in file location column.
How can I make this column automatically input the file name/extension from file location column instead of manually typing it in?Can this be done?

You can export the data form the PDF using the FormDataIntegration service.
Once you have the data in xml format, you can use a setValue and concatenate the value of the two nodes you're interested in.

Auto input Default Username and Password

When I am connecting AWM 11.2.0.2A version with the AWM database and it is prompting for username and password for the target AWM schema . Can we autoinput and take the username and password defined somewhere so that once the database has been clicked it will logged in without prompting for username and password.

No, there is no facility to store the username and password between sessions. Oracle's security coding policies are pretty strict on this kind of thing.

Auto-filling proceeding fields from user's initial input - Possible? How?

I'm quite new to LiveCycle (and scripting). That being said, I'm trying to create some automation in forms for work.
I've been asked to create a product order form in which the Order Administrator would choose the product from a list of Product Codes. Once s/he chooses the Product Code [numeric field] from this list, the Product Description [text field] appears right next to it, and then the Product Price [numeric field] would populate the last field. I will duplicate this over multiple rows into a table, then autosum the last column which should be filled with various product prices, taxes, S&H, etc. (autosumming the Price field is easy enough - this is not my issue so let's just focus on the major concern of auto-filling descriptions and prices for now...)
For e.g.
Product Code
Description
Price
6759-85746-098 [Order Admin chooses from list]
Large textbook (x1) [Automatically inputs based on Product Code]
$30.00 [Auto-inputs from Product Code]

I've tried for days to figure out how to script this, going through numerous forums, printing off reams of Adobe help documents, trying to learn Java and/or FormCalc in solitude, and yet I still can't figure this out. To explain, I'm not a coder/developer but a print-focused graphic designer.
If anyone knows how I can solve this I'd be very grateful. I'm now wondering if a) I need to somehow connect (bind?) the information in an external database or sheet (Excel?), b) figure out some elaborate script that would automate these descriptions and prices, and/or c) bang my head against the wall in fruitless frustration.

Input Monitoring, and Audio Objects- help?

First part:
Input Monitoring. I am used to Input Monitoring (live signal) overriding printed material (regions). I thought that if I had Auto Input Monitoring disabled, and if I would engage Input Monitoring on an Audio Track, ONLY the Live input would pass; any regions on the track would not sound...put simply, engage Input Monitor flicks a switch from regions to Live Input. But, it does not. The ONLY ways I have found to have JUST the live signal is to mute all regions, or actually record on the track. How SHOULD it work?
Audio Objects and Arrange tracks:
If I have 3 audio tracks in the Arrange window, and I assign them all to say, Audio Object 1; why do the Arrange window audio tracks not operate independently? If I solo one, all three solo. If I mute one, they all do. Even worse, if I Rec enable one, all three do!
I thought that Arrange window Audio tracks were independent, and operated as such. Assign tracks to multiple Audio Objects, or to the same, it did not matter. Part of the brilliance of it (I thought, initially) was how you could have different "versions" of a track feeding a single Object, and then priority would determine what actually plays back; but that is not how it works? Part of my delusion, it seems, was that when you mute or solo a track in the Arrange, there is a pause, and if I then do so in the Mixer it is much, much faster, which is due to the Arrange tracks being different...or not? Seems the answer to that incurs a penalty in one case, but not another, and that makes NO sense. Where did I go wrong?
Sorry for the wicked long post, but I see these both as related, and I would love to know why this stuff looks incredibly flexable and powerful on paper, but in practice, it is nothing short of frustrating, with very little benefit over other apps...maybe worse than some other apps...

That works well, and I could handle using it as a workflow. But, when one wants to retain individual mute states of specific regions on that track, this would alter that when unmuting. The tip below would be a viable alternative, but...

That I did not realize. However, if I rec or input enable, no matter what ALL Arrange tracks assigned to the same Audio Object rec/input enable. Any way to stop that that? When recording in punch mode- how can i hear the input prior to punch point

When in logic 7- i was able to set a punch point (formerly auto-drop) -- and have a client sing/rap/play to the track-- and before and during the actual selected area for the punch--you could hear the current input as well as the old track.
Now-- when i do the same i logic 9--- i can't hear what my client is doing prior to the punch point-- and neither can they. it only plays the audio track that already exists and only allows us to hear the input once the punch point happens.
Is there a setting somewhere where i can change this?

You should turn off "Auto input monitoring". I only have L8 and there you find it under Options->audio->Auto Input monitoring. Would guess that its in the same place in L9

What if Input and Record Ready buttons both enabled?

If I enable the Input button on a track, I can hear the output. If I disable the Input button but then enable the Record Ready button, I can also hear the output.
Is there ever a purpose for having them both enabled at the same time? I'm just trying to understand them better.

I try to clarify in a simple way:
The Input button is important during recording.
It is similar to analog tape recording process - you can listen to "signal coming to the Tape Head but before is recorded" and "just recorded and playing from the Tape" - so in first case you hear only the Input and in second you hear the Output. You can choose listening Pre Tape Head and Post Tape Head.
If you enable Input button the you can hear signal coming to the Input only and of you disable one you hear the sound read from disk.
First function is called: Input Only. Second one: Auto Input.
Why Auto ? Because your DAW system is automatically switching between :
1) INPUT - during recording and 2) OUTPUT - during playback.
For example: if you have just recorded the guitar part on Track no.5 and you want to correct some and record again but not whole part but only one region then select the recording-start position and to be accurate with rec-start point you need to pre-listen to a few seconds before start recording.
In 1) case you will hear only your guitar ready to record and in 2) case you hear what you've recorded before and in the moment when recording starts you immediately hear your ready to record guitar - DAW automatically switches to Input signal - so just play and record again selected region.
After pressing stop - listen to corrected region - in Play mode DAW always switches to playback mode and you hear only the Output. In Record mode you can choose between Input Only and Auto Input.

Input monitoring problem during recording

I recently purchased Logic Pro 9, and am having a problem with input monitoring. I am not able to in any way affect control over my monitor mix during recording. I have tried every combination of options, including software monitoring, auto-input monitoring, etc...but always get the same headphone levels from my inputs (I am actually trying to mute the input signals out completely so that I can play along to only the click.
I am wondering whether this is some sort of software glitch, because I was able to control the mix perfectly before the latest software update. I wonder if that is the problem, or if I am overlooking some minor detail. Please help!!
BTW, I have checked, and this is definitely a software, not a hardware issue...

I have a similar problem, although I'm on Logic Pro 8.
I can't seem to record my guitar track (mic'd cabinet) without having the result monitor back through my studio monitors unless I turn off software monitoring in Preferences/Audio. But then if I want to record keyboards direct and listen to what I'm playing, I have to go back in and turn the option back on.
In Sonar on the PC, this was much more intuitive. You could arm a track for recording by clicking the "R" button, and separately toggle monitoring on and off by clicking the little speaker button to the right. You didn't have to constantly fiddle with the program preferences.
I have a FireWire410 interface, and the monitoring only happens when Logic is loaded. I would have thought that the little "I" icon was to turn monitoring on and off, but it's some "pre/post-tape" toggle I can't find a use for.

Auto-Mark individual words - with buffer

I have a wav session of someone reading 400 individual vocabulary words in Arabic. There is a pause in-between each word of 3-5 seconds. I need to create an individual wav file for each word. I tried auto-mark, but in parts of the words where the speech is softer, the auto-mark senses silence and 'marks' the end of the word -- effectively clipping it.
As I said, I tried several settings but maybe I'm doing it wrong. What can you suggest?

Users are not experiencing any problem.Looks like you got bit by the CTD troll while sleeping.
Note also that (if I'm reading the report alright) out of 23 mins you have 6 seconds accounted to buffer busy waits.
